You know the place is going to be good when the Michelada is great! One of the best Mexican restaurants I have eaten. The outside of the restaurant doesn’t seem too enticing but inside was cool and great music playing. I took my mom for her birthday and they made her day w the celebration and the cake!! Very big and spacious inside there are lots of places to sit. There is a big dance floor and stage. They have great talent and great friendly and attentive staff. There is also security which is great! One thing is a beer is $10 for the bottle. Dinner was $80 for a parrillada for 4. Which was plenty. The tab was $220. Be careful there tip is included in the bill. The tip was $30. Be prepared to spend $$$.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Pulpo Restaurant , and I must say, it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time, the food was good. In addition to the food, the service was top-notch. Our server Edwin was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making sure our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed. All in all, I would highly recommend El Pulpo to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a wonderful dining experience. I can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing dishes!

My daughter celebrated her 15th bday dinner there. The workers made her feel so special!! They were all so nice and sweet! They will constantly come to her and sing to her. Our table was 30 ppl and they brought our food and drinks fast! No complains at all!

We have come here several times. In the past I have complained and the manager seemed like didn't care. Today I received my plate and the fish was way overcooked. I didn't complain because I know they wouldn't care. I was thinking just not to come anymore. They noticed I had a problem with my plate and offered to remake it. I really appreciate them doing that. I went to El Pulpo restaurant to face paint for a birthday party. There was a reserved section for the birthday party The host at the door was super friendly as I arrived directing me to the proper area. The event was on a Friday so there was a live band to whom you can request songs for a fee. The waitress were also very kind and quickly brought out all the guest orders. The restaurant is super comfortable and super clean. The food is delicious. There are several televisions and comfortable bar areas. This was my first time visiting and for sure I'm going back.

This place was great! I had a campechana and my friend had a coctel de camarones. They were both made quick and were very fresh. Lemonade wes very good too. One thing that struck me is the fact that there was no "fishy" smell in the place like other places I've been to. Our server was Mariana and she did an outstanding job explaining to us all the ins and outs of new customers. We asked several questions and all were answered with no hesitation and accurately. Restrooms were clean and were fully stocked. Overall I'd be happy when I get a chance to go back.

Don't sit too close to the stage. Music is loud. When you eat your food, you gotta put your head down because waitresses pass right above your head with sizzling platters. Food is good. We visited for the first time for a lunch date, everything was great, the food was amazing, they had live music and the service was pretty good! They must be doing something right if they've got so many good waiters!

Stumbled upon this place by accident. Thought it was a regular restaurant but it was much more. They had the USA vs Mexico soccer game on with the sound up loud, which h was alright (I'm a soccer fan). Neither my wife nor I speak much Spanish and between that and how loud it was we had a little struggle in the beginning getting g things ordered but eventually a gentleman who spoke fluent English assisted us. The environment was lively and the food was decent. We had a good time. In my opinion the food was overpriced but that wasn't a deal breaker.

The environment is great, live entertainment along with a menu with plenty of options. The service can be hit and miss from time to time which is my main reason for the 4 stars. Portions aren't bad nor is the food, it can just take a while before you get it at times.

The only reason I did 4 instead of 5 is the food. The food is okay nothing to crazy. The drinks are really good though all the margaritas and mixed drinks I recommend. The atmosphere is great, music and live performances. Service is good. We did have to look for our waitress 1 or 2x but she was super nice so we did not mind and other staff are willing to help you. It is a bit pricey for 5 adults and a kid it was a little over $180 and that is only 2 alcoholic beverages and 5 dishes and a kids meal.

And they were also charging another $25 per person to watch the Canelo fight. So many people walked back out after realizing that. The fight was only $59 on DAZN! Thank goodness my daughter and boyfriend paid their own ticket and price for the fight!

Had a great time! We went to one of their VIP concert night s to see Lalo Mora, and we were not disappointed. Our waiters were so nice and attentive, they all were nicely dressed and checking on us often. Reason why i'm holding off on the 5th start is because their shrimp are not deveined...this was super disappointing as when you're out having to pay for people to serve you, the last ting you want to do is clean your shrimp... We still recommend this place but definitely suggest serving deveined shrimp in the future.

Very loud music is my first recollection of this restaurant. The second memory is that we had to walk all the way to the back of the restaurant to get anyones attention. They were all talking amongst themselves around a table in the back. Poor service. OK food. We will have to choose somewhere else next time we want Mexican seafood.

Went on a Saturday. It was not busy at all waited 45 min for my food. I got the Camarones ala Diabla and they were not spicy at all. I did not like how they tasted. My boyfriend got a fish plate and it was tasteless.

I've been here a few times always a good service from the greeting at the door to the time we leave, but this past saturday night the waitress was a bit rude for no apparent reason. we were seated up stairs, my guess was that communication was a bit interrupted by the loud music that was playing live. I really don't know what her deal was. The food is normally good that night I couldn't say that. we did tip a different waiter that picked up our plates just so that the other lady saw we were not pleased with her attitude i don't know that she did. Lady working the bar upstairs had the bad attitude.

It was a Sunday night and it was crowded. The tables are too close together which makes it very hard for people to walk and they bump into the other diners unintentionally. I was in a wheelchair and we had to ask diners to actually standup and move their chairs so I could get by. But on a good note, the waiter we had was super. He said he just barely started to work their but his attitude, kindness and service were excellent. The food we ordered was pretty good but a little bit too expensive.

Went for lunch today, the place is not fancy at all. They had live music and it was very loud, so if you are thinking to have a nice talk during lunch this is definitely not the place. Service was fast and good, my partner order a fried red snapper from 1 to 10 i will give it an 8. I ordered the 7 mares soup from 1 to 10 a 7. Prices are average from 10 to 18 most of the plates. After all is not too bad, but for sure non of my favorite places.

The area around the restaurant looks a bit iffy. There's usually a beggar nearby asking for change. The inside is rather bright, with staff that has a welcoming atmosphere. However, the music is loud to the point where you may need to shout just get heard. The fajita plate wasn't lacked flavor, but was still somewhat enjoyable. Unfortunately it does seem a little overpriced for the quality of food.

The food was great, but it was also very crowded. It was also so loud in the dining area, that my friend and I had to yell at each other in order to hear what the other had to say. It's definitely not the place to go for a quiet meal. And if you're still skittish about large crowds during COVID, you probably should not go here. Also, it was difficult to find a parking space as it was very disorganized and ill designed.

Spent $222 for 4 meals and 6 drinks with automatic gratuity. Overall the the experience was okay but we won’t be going again.

I ordered the camarones enchipotlados. It didn’t come with just shrimp, it had something else that had a different texture and thin. It threw me off considering there was about 6 shrimps actually served. I really enjoyed the mango margarita, my friend ordered the strawberry one and that was a bit too sweet. Atmosphere is nice, live banda played which was very entertaining.

I celebrated my Birthday with my entire family, while the music was a bit to to loud it was good. The food well no, ceviche wasn't good, fish tacos was cold and soggy tortilla was falling apart. The drinks where very over priced for such small portion. They charge you for nachos and cheese in a cup when you didn't even ask for it. The bill for just me and my honey was $102.00. My family all where disappointed in the price and overall experience. We are ones to spend if its worth it. Service was great, I think they need to not take advantage of customers with hidden fees.

If you go on Saturday night expect to wait at least hour and half for food. I waited more than a hour for them to bring me my tab and at the end they never brought it. I had to leave my table to find someone to pay for tab. This place is ONLY good for drinks and LIVE entertainment.

Dont sit at the bar. First time there, and the woman bartending had a cold bad attitude, and when i asked for water she instead gave me an overpriced warm bottle of water. No ice. Teh place is okay its clean, the server we got was really nice and attentive. I didn't like the way the management got upset with her because my husband went up to the bar to get a drink. Went for a celebratory lunch for Mother’s Day and it was MID. group of 6 adults and 5 kids and the bill was $556. We go eat as a family a lot and I don’t think we’ve ever spent this much as a group. let alone on Mexican food. Alcoholic Drinks $15-20 🤯 Soda - $7????? They tacked on a few things we didn’t even order and didn’t realize it until afterwards. As far as the food, the shrimp cocktail was small for $15. We ordered agua chiles requested that the shrimp be cooked instead of raw - it came out raw. When we told the waitress, they brought it back with different cooked shrimp. The ones that were raw, were bigger and butterflied. The ones that they replaced it with were whole and small. Smh. That plate was $27. The parrillada was okay. Tender meats but the flavor wasn’t all that great. They charged TAX on the automatic gratuity. And then charged a debit card fee for payment. So we paid close to $600. For some average food and drinks. I was still hungry after leaving. Definitely not ever going back. Could’ve had a good steak at Salt Grass or Roadhouse with what we spent. And would’ve been full for hours.

The food and service is quite an experience. The steak was burned and overcooked and had absolutely no seasoning. With every bite, my esophagus was scarred because of how hard the burned meat was. I ordered the Steak Ranchero which was priced at $28. It came with rice that was cold and mixed with the liquid from the Pico De Gallo. The refried beans were alright. The flour tortillas you can tell they were store bought and not homemade, which is okay I suppose. The waitresses never checked up on us unless we waved for their attention, maybe they're understaffed, it is new years afterall, so I'm not upset about that. The food tho, yeah that sucked. My father in law ordered steak fajitas, and he didn't take anymore than two bites (I forced myself to eat my steak cause it was 12:30 in the morning and I was not going to wait for more food). I suppose if all you want is loud Mexican music and beer, then this is the place for you. My review is mostly towards the food. The atmosphere, was... Dirty and unappealing (dirty walls and floor). Prices are too expensive for the quality of food and atmosphere that they provide. The tortilla chips were hard and... Stale-like. The salsa was extremely spicy and flavorless and the cheese dipping was cold and also flavorless. This is my honest review, hopefully someone else had a better experience. Edit: Just took a look at my mother-in-law's chicken... Holy overcooked chicken. I can probably use it as a ninja star. I also posted a video of a cockroach on the floor lol

First time coming here. I came here with 5 friends for a girls night out. When we came here the place was pretty packed so I was expecting for the food here to be amazing. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. As soon as we sat down the waiter brought us chips, salsa, and queso. The chips were good, but they were cold. The salsa was watery and flavorless. The queso was also very disappointing especially since it was cold. I'm not really a seafood fan so I ordered a hamburger and fries. This was a big mistake. The hamburger meat was just a frozen patty, it was dry, and it had no seasoning. The fries where also just frozen fries, but those did have a little bit of seasoning. However, that didn't do much to add flavor. Everyone else actually ordered seafood and they seemed satisfied with their orders. The staff was really friendly, but I think the service could have been a little better. They did come by our table often, but they seemed more pre-occupied on seeing if you wanted to order anything else rather than actually checking up on you. The bathrooms are also suprisingly clean and the bathroom attendant is really friendly. To drink I decided to try a Michelada. I personally did not like the drink just becauee I'm not really a fan of tomatos or beer. After being moved around so much a waitress offered our whole table a complimentary round of drinks. I ordered a mango margarita with chamoy and tajin. This drink was really good and quite strong. However, the drinks weren't really consistent. 3 other people also ordered the same drink and all 4 margaritas looked different. It also took a while to get our drinks, bit they were free so I'm not really complaning. The thing I really liked about this restraunt and the real reason I think its packed is the ambiance. When we arrived there was a Paquita la Del Barrio imitator performing. They really did a great job at entertaining the crowd. Afterwards there was a Mariachi perfroming and I also really enjoyed hearing them sing. Overall this place was kinda disappointing. I do recommend coming here for drinks and entertainment, but based on my experience I wouldn't come here for the food.

I seldom use these review sites, since I tend to be pretty flexible when it comes to restaurants, but this place was the worst experience I have had. From the lack of service, to the awful and old food. The seafood was not fresh at all. The items in our order came incomplete and took way too long. To the point that I had to get up and inquire about items and myself at least 4 times. Once my tostada mixta, aguachile and caldo de jaiba arrived, the items looked they had been sitting outside the fridge for. Awhile and were super dry l. The jaiba caldo was the same with the jaiba tasting terrible and like it had also been sitting out for a while. I would only recommend for people to stay away from these place. Added to that was the overly loud music to the point I couldn't have a conversation with my parents. That were growing overly stressed, by waiting over 1 hour and 34 minutes. The food was not good, got the shrimp cocktail and the shrimp was very warm. When it supposed to be kept cold. The rice was well under cook and mushy. Some of our order didn't come in, and it would take a long time for refills. When we ask for the tab it took over 30 min, when we look over it we were charge for an extra plate. It took them a little over an hour to get our food. By the time we got our food my dish was cold, my moms milanesa was burnt, and my dad's dish got to the table 20 MINUTES after my mom brother and I got our food. They serve really small portions and it has no flavor. It's also very overpriced and I just dont understand the hype.

I took my parents out for what I thought was going to be a great night out for their wedding anniversary. This was the worst food we have ever eaten. The breaded fish was so disgusting and dry. Way overpriced. We were a group of 8 construction workers having a very late lunch. All the food was cold. We were starving so we sucked it up and ate it anyway. One of my guys didn’t eat and walked out of the restaurant. I told them he was upset about the food being cold and that we wouldn’t pay for that dish. They still put it on the bill. Food was subpar. Service is ok. I honestly think the only thing that keeps this place open is the pretty waitresses and the liquor.

I unfortunately didn't realize how expensive margaritas could be - 37$ for 2 margaritas?! My friends drinks were 5$ each. The margaritas were not even very good! When I asked my server if this was accurate, I was told lots of people complain about it and there is nothing they can do. Truly a disappointment as I enjoyed my time up until getting completely ripped off.

Horrible experience. I came here for Mother’s Day on May 10,2021 and it had passed 40 minutes and we still didn’t get our food. To top it off the fire alarm went off and they didn’t turn it off until 10-15 minutes went by. We were on the second floor so the alarm was even louder up there. Then the Alarm went off a second time and stayed on for over twenty minutes. We got up to leave and they were STILL trying to charge us for our drinks. The least they could have done was give us our drinks for free but they didn’t. We wasted over an hour here and it was Mother’s Day. So I will NEVER return to this location.

Great music. Although food was ok but servers put their own tip no matter what the amount is. My tab was $400 for food and few drinks for 3 people and I don’t think for what I got that should of been the amount, everything is overpriced. I get why people like it it’s a fun entertainment area but service is not all that. If you want to spend that much and get some drinks there is other places I highly recommend!!

Waitress took too long to take our order. It wasn’t even busy. We were a party of six & got charged auto gratuity. Oysters were plain it had no taste. One of us had ordered cheese enchiladas and the cheese wasn’t even melted it was just a tortilla stuffed with shredded Mozzarella cheese. Kitchen didn’t even bother to melt the cheese. I ordered a fajita Jalisco plate and the veggies were raw they weren’t even grilled. The meat , shrimp and chicken were overcooked. We weren’t satisfied at all and ended up paying $300 for food that wasn’t even worth it.

Food seemed very good and clean until we seen a cockroach the size of my thumb on the floor. Waitress didn’t seem very surprised and said they have been coming out ever since they sprayed bug killer. No apologies nothing just acted like it was completely normal she even took her sweet time to come sweep it up. We didnt even eat after that and the waitress knew we were very uncomfortable after but sure enough we were charged full price. Do what you will with this info just thought I should share because I’ve never experienced this before. I also have a picture of the roach just no option to post it :/

Went with a group of friends and split the bill. Food was good and serviced was fine. But when I looked at my credit card statement a few days later, they charged me nearly double the price. Checked with my friends and they were charged the correct price. When I attempted to call and speak with someone regarding the overcharge, they hung up. Probably didn't help that I didn't speak Spanish but to be overcharged on my card and not able to get a hold of someone to inquire about the charges, very unprofessional. I'd avoid this place altogether to avoid getting ripped off. I will have to dispute the charges through my credit card company.

this place is horrible!!! I mean it!! they took 20 minutes to bring our drinks and we were waiting for 2 hours for our food ro arrive and it never did so we decided to leave and the lady still got mad because we were leaving!! literally everyone else that came after us got their food first then us!! DONT COME HERE ITS A TERRIBLE RESTAURANT!!!

This restaurant is a fraud they over charged me n my friend and we did not answer for much and they added there own tip they double charged the 40 dollars for a buger and just a buger nothing else and 40 for a small shrimp cocktail.

Do not come here. Disgusting food and TERRIBLE service. Our waitress literally ignored us multiple times. Took over 30 minutes to get us drinks & took over an hour to get our food. Absolutely terrible. Do not recommend. Music is great but not worth paying $20 per plate of mediocre food.

HORRIBLE SERVICE LOW QUALITY FOOD SNEAKY ENVIRONMENT The food is very low quality for the high price. Some people say you pay for the vibe (very loud music club feel). You will sneakily get gratuity charge without being told. No need to tip because they charge a good fee for gratuity and they will not tell you. They are very sneaky. Please ask for your ticket do not let them take your ticket away. The staff will try to hide your ticket so that you can not look at the charges. If the vibe is like being in a club don't expect great service. Our waitress did not serve refills or check on table. We got a very small basket of chips and the food does take a while to come out and we never got a chip refill. High price for such low results. The pulpo used to be THE spot, but not anymore. Do not recommend at all.

Order the Fijitas Plate #1 It was very spicy and didn't taste like beef Fijitas #2 The Guacamole was all dark upon arrival #3 The Beans Was OK not #3 The agua de Horchata was water down #4 The Flour Tortillas was Hard and Old. #5 Our waiter came to check upon us 1 time during my visit. Also order the Fijitas Estilo Jalisco comes with only 1 shrimp. I would only recommend to come drink and hear the music but the food was a 1 star ⭐ from me Overall bad experience while waiting for El Rey Don Ramon Ayala

Stay away from it unless you want to be ripped off. I ordered a #20, pescado Frito. I was expecting $15 plus tax and tips = $20. Instead. I was charged $18.95 + 15% over charge for eating at the bar (no tables available) + tax = $23 for a fried fish. The bar girl, Carolina, seemed friendly but at the end she did not want to give me a receipt for my purchase, only a paper receipt. Her excuse, she doesn't work with machines that give receipt. Stay Away from this establishment 👎👎👎👎👎

Place was very unprofessional, food was not good and served cold. We had 3 different waiters, food items were forgotten and never brought unless we asked. Very overpriced and not to mention the have a service fee already added to your check and expect a tip as well. Service fee was not paid for because no service was served, 10/10 do not recommend

I will not recommend it to nobody.. 1- the price is too high 2 -with one shot, you can buy the whole bottle $38 regular patron 3- ask for shot don Julio, and he tastes like shit. 4- ((a tip is a gratitude for the good service)).. Not a good service. And they add a tip on the ticket.. On top of that, they expect you to do more tip when you pay with the credit card. -5 really bad management to solve the issue. They offer me another shot of tequila when I don't want to drink another one.. 6- ---for the owners-- they are burning your business reputation. And if you're a part of that, that's disgusting... 7- --for the customers-- check your ticket before you pay. They are abusing you trust...

The service is very good, those at the door are very friendly, but the food is terrible I would definitely not return and I do not recommend it either, the waitress made a mistake in my order then I took the rest but I had to wait for her to return with my order the potatoes are horrible the oil very burnt because the potatoes came out and smelled very bad I won't come back

My family and I recently went for lunch. We were a total of 6 (3 adults and 3 kids). Our bill was $182. Two margaritas $18.95 each, 4 agua fresca (kids lemonades) $6.95 each with only 3 kids mind you. The drink prices would be my biggest complaint. There was added gratuity and the detailed receipt wasn’t offered. I had to ask for it after I received my $182 credit card receipt. Food was average at best. I don’t like to bash companies but I feel their pricing is a bit off. They should have noted the drink prices. I should have read some of the reviews prior to deciding to eat here. I hope they can change some of the things being noted on the reviews. It would be nice to see them correct the recent bad reputation they seem to have.

Went into the restroom and saw a full sized cockroach managed to make the decision to not eat but still get a drink and after 15 minutes no one came to check on us or bring us a drink menu. A larger party got there after us and they were tended to immediately. We have been to the other location and this one is plain disgusting will never be back!

It took TWO and a half hours to finally receive our food. At first, they told us it would take an hour, but it ended up taking more. It was to the point that some families would just get up from their tables and walk out. Our server was alright, the atmosphere was good, it had good music and people would start to dance to pass the time while waiting for their food. When our food finally arrived, it was already past 12am, and the food was somewhat good, not worth the wait. It was decent, at least 🤷‍♀️.

Definitely don’t recommend this restaurant! Costumer service is 1/10 and restaurant is dirty. I received a ROACH in my food as well as a DIRTY cup! They didn’t even offer to compt my meal , they offered a free drink or dessert.. when I told the waitress I’d think about what I want they ended up bringing a drink in a DIRTY cup! Overall a DISGUSTING place.. first & last time visiting. Don’t waste your time or money here! Just go across the street tbh

We love places with this kind of atmosphere (music) but what we value more about dining in at a restaurant is the food and the service so after getting our parrillada burned we called the manager and all he said was “ok, sorry I’ll let them know” then the waitress said that the overcooked food was not her problem so what kind of restaurant hires people that don’t take responsibility for the service and quality of the place, plus the restaurant wasn’t that busy… Really disappointing
