True food is delicious every time we go. Some of the most fresh tasting food I've had, I always leave feeling good. I usually get the poke bowl but the kale salad and pizza is also delicious. Every time we get the edamame dumplings though, too good to pass up. I also like that they have alcohol. Service is always good and the place is clean and inviting.
This was such a good food find! Ate here yesterday and came back today—Everything we had was so delicious and fresh!! I highly recommend checking it out! Butternut squash pizza, chicken tenders, burger, chia seed pudding and lemon muffin were all amazing!! Jason was very attentive and we experienced amazing service while here. Definitely will come again!!
Had brunch here with some friends for the first time and we all really enjoyed our experience! The ambience, service, and food were great. Love that there is a wide variety of food to choose from and health conscious options. There is also a kids menu so will definitely be back with my family!
I went here recently with my family, and we all really enjoyed it! I like that they have a lot of different and options for my picky toddler. The staff was great! I appreciate them double-checking our allergies. Overall, will come back often!
From start to finish every aspect of dining at a True Food Kitchen is fantastic. My body is happy after eating from the delicious food made perfectly. Their allergen friendly menu and aware staff makes my dairy, egg, and gluten allergies seem like no problem at all. A++ we will be back, many times
Took my sister here for her birthday. She loved it!! Especially with the waitress' recommendations: Edamame dumplings, Korean noodles, and Chopped salad. The best part was that my sister could enjoy the chocolate cake with vegan vanilla as her mini birthday treat. Highly recommend all of those!
Thank you for a great experience today. The food was so flavorful and filling. Beatrice was an amazing server. She interacted with us from start to finish. Gave us great suggestions for us to enjoy. I had the turkey burger. Will definitely have again.
Dine here several times a week. The staff is phenomenal! I always eat at the bar and look forward to being served by Kris and Chef Adam who are a stellar team! Their service is friendly, prompt, and personal. Plus the food is outstanding! Treat yourself today!
Love dining in at this True Food! Always friendly and fast service! Stopped in for a quick bite today, edamame dumplings are the way to go! The Bartender Chase took amazing care of our group.
My server Melanie was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!! As a first time visitor she recommend some of the BEST and most DELICIOUS items on the menu. Everything was TASTY and the environment was superb! Squash pie was a 10/10!! Definitely will be coming back.
If your in the mood for fresh, local and organic cuisine then True Foods Kitchen is definitely the place to be. Whether it be date night with the hubby, girls day out or a healthy meal before a flight, this has to be one of my go to places. I have yet to have a poor experience there. The food is always very fresh, made with very few ingredients, but packed with flavor. I visited twice within a weeks time and ordered the Korean bowl. It featured a sweet potatoe glass noodle, with veggies and a lovely Korean inspired sauce 😋. My husband ordered the ancient grains bowl with roasted sweet potatoe and portabella mushrooms. They were both very delicious and will be added to our favs. We didn't have room for dessert this time around, however, I have ordered the key lime mousse and chia seed pudding in the past and they were both decadent. ❤ The owners and staff at True Foods Kitchen have also assured that they are doing their part in flattening the curve with implementation of cleaning and sanitizing tables immediately after customer leaves. They have hand sanitizing stations at every other table. The wait staff are practicing social distancing and wearing masks and some even wear gloves.
We took our family of four to visit for an early dinner. It’s a really great location and easy parking. We ordered the the edamame dumplings to start. The truffle in it made it delicious, we could’ve drank it. Actually I think my husband did. We ordered a cheese pizza for the kids, it was a hit! The husband ordered the grass fed burger with fries and I ordered the jambalaya pasta. So much protein and pretty true to the jambalaya taste. We also ordered two of their juices that tasted excellent.
I've got a lot to say about Francine regarding her competence and work ethics at True Foods Kitchen. I've been coming to the restaurant since 2016 and I've never seen any employee of her equal. She works at high speed, very fast and doesn't waste. She can attend to hundreds of customers at a time without making any mistake. She is very reliable and doesn't entertain unnecessary distractions, no customer has ever complained that they are missing items in their order whenever Francine is working. I've been to thousand of restaurant across Dallas and I have never seen any employee of her caliber, she is unequaled.I must not forget to talk about her customer service relationship. She is always very polite and treat every customer with civility. Her sense of industry deserves to be greatly rewarded, I've seen her many times working from morning till evening without complaining of tiredness, she's very strong and energetic. Francine is exemplary and no doubt a role model to her fellow employee. I've told my friends about a couple of times in the past that if Francine was made the manager of the restaurant she would definitely handle and perform beyond everybody's expectations judging by her skills, exceptional brilliance and great experience in the job. I personally applaud and commend her job ethics. She is outstanding when it comes to paying attention to details.
Loved the vibe and the food! The name is a great fit for the food. Truly amazing and delicious and healthy. Air fried potato and grass-fed meat and ice cream. Loved the cakes and ice cream. The sweetness was so correct and could not be better. Everything tastes so fresh and delicious.
First time here and apparently everything here is organic and healthy and from the farm to the table witch was so cool because I’m trying to eat better but believe me you I did not figure it out until I finished my meal! It was a surprise because everything was delicious, honestly even the margaritas were so good and tasted so natural and fresh like no purées or fake fruit juice, they tasted so naturally sweet. Beatrice was kind and helped me order everything, gonna ask for her next time I come in. Atmosphere felt welcoming and warm.
True Food Kitchen has become one of our go-to spots for cleaner dine out. We always order the edamame dumplings (they’re so good we get two orders) and the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream has got to be the best clean, a la mode desserts anywhere. Their butternut squash spaghetti casserole may as well be real pasta cause it’s stupid good! And the squash pie is just like sweet potato pie but softer, am I the only one impressed that I’m enjoying butternut squash this much??. I’m obsessed with their air-fried chicken tenders and chicken parm: lightly breaded, crispy, and juicy, with that nostalgic 80s cafeteria vibe. The pizzas are great too, we’ve only had the Margherita but see plenty others coming out to the tables. Every server we’ve had has been attentive, informed, and patient, making every visit a pleasure.
Fabulous food, great friendly service Can't say enough about great affordable food with professional service
Three hungry and indecisive first timers were well cared for by our attentive and informative server, Katie. We had a meat and potatoes eater and a vegan in the party and Katie patiently answered all our questions and made recommendations. Everything was delicious, no notes. We were grateful for the diversity of clean food options and enjoyed the brussel sprouts appetizer, the Guacamole, hummus, butternut squash soup, and pictured here, the mushroom and spinach flatbread pizza (and more). I look forward to coming back!
We LOVED True Food Kitchen. We split a burger, fries, and each got a salad and was blown away by how good it was! We will definitely be back. Service was excellent too. Beautiful atmosphere.
Major shout out to Melanie for showing her Wit in this business and making my Birthday feel extra special! Thank you for a Tru experience 💙Rayshard! You most definitely made my day!!!!
This was a great experience. The food is fantastic and I can attest for the flavor. Everything is fresh and crisp. The waitress Kendall was amazing and her service was just perfect - come and ask for her ! I will be coming back soon. Guys please, try the curry yummo !!!
Food was amazing and very accommodating to dietary needs. Our server was attentive and the restaurant setting was nice and welcoming. The strawberry passion fruit tart was delicious.
I visit here with a friend and we wanted something light. We came to the right place. The food is not heavy and it's actually healthy conscious. I got a pesto pasta and I added chicken. It was delicious. Again, because the food is not heavy. You're living with a sense of emptiness, so I ordered a cookie for dessert. The chocolate cookie was okay. It was not sweet at all which I liked. Overall is a nice place in a nice area. It's a bit on a expensive side. But granted, I added chicken to my dish (which is 6 dlls), and I also order a glass of wine. If you just go there for the food, I think you we'll be fine.
Food is a 10/10, service is a 100/10. Tried all vegan and gluten free options. The flourless chocolate cake stood out(ordered it twice)! Drinks: ‘Bright eyes’ has a very strong beetroot flavor. ‘Hangover Rx’ is just perfect if you like mild sweetness.

Really enjoy this place. Always order something different and pleasantly surprised every time. Welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, and great food!
The vegan beet & walnut burger was so good. 10/10 recommend. My server Katie was nice and informative and very attentive. Props to her for handling some difficult guests next to me with ease. The only thing was the atmosphere was a bit dull and dreary and quiet. I could hear everything being said at both tables on either side to me. I know there was a problem with the brussel sprouts next to me and I know that the other table next to me has a blood sugar problem. Lol seee a little too much information is out and about in the atmosphere.
If you want whole food options that spare no expense, come here. You won't feel guilty eating anything here. Pizza is delicious, cauliflower appetizer is delicious, fries are truly house made using an air fryer. The fries have that air fryer crunch, unprocessed potato taste as well. Its simple and works. Chicken sandwich was good as well. Not as juicy but I'd assume maybe it's because the chicken used wasn't injected with steroids, antibiotics and hormones. I'd like to get that confirmed. If I'll add any criticism, the chicken could have been cooked a tiny bit less, it was borderline dry. Everything else about it was great. The buns, the slaw inside, etc. Even the dessert won't weigh down your heart. The cookie tasted great, nice dark chocolate chips, texture was a bit grainy, but thats the price you literally pay for a healthier cookie. The chocolate cake and ice cream feel like you're cheating on your diet. But if you're gonna do it wrong, then do it right.
First timers here on Nov 4 and we couldn’t be more satisfied with our server Beatriz. We had a great experience and she was absolutely wonderful. Beatriz was attentive, friendly, made us feel very welcomed, and great personality until the end. She ensured we had everything we needed, checked on us without being intrusive, made an excellent menu recommendation (lasagna), and refilled our drinks without being asked. We could tell Beatriz genuinely cares about providing great service. We definitely will be coming back and will request her section again. Beatriz’s service was top-notch! Overall satisfied with the restaurant as a whole.
I had such a wonderful experience here! I was first met by Val at the bar who was so warm and welcoming. She offered me a menu and recommended me the most delicious latte. Then when I proceeded to spill said latte all over the counter, some lovely workers immediately jumped in to help. Their names are Chase and Lauren. They were so kind and helpful. I felt so bad but they insisted that it was alright. Then I met Naia who was just the sweetest ray of sunshine I’ve ever met. She was so genuine and generous, I was blown away. Mel and Phillip were also kind enough to say hi and welcome me into the restaurant. All of them made great conversation and I felt like I was part of the staff! All in all, I would highly recommend to eat at True Food Kitchen! Such a great group of people working here.
We had a very good meal at True Kitchen. They have several good veggie options that look very good. I tried the teriyaki glass noodles with veggies. They were great. Both the others in my party had a good hamburger and a Margherita pizza. We also tried the fries as an appetizer. They were Air fried and and very good. The music was a little loud, to the point it was hard to talk across the table. The drinks were good as well.

My friend and I arrived here to grab a healthy meal and it was quite enjoyable. We were seated immediately and were able to order quickly. I ordered the turkey burger and customized it to how I like and added a side of umami potatoes as well as a pink lemonade. I enjoyed the burger and pink lemonade but the potatoes were old and didn’t taste very well. I did enjoy this spot and will return to try some other items.
Only reason why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is....... The chicken is terrible - yes I tried it yet again and how do you make it so dang dry? I'm seriously wondering - its amazing that it is consistently that dry as cotton balls. There is a way to cook them healthy without serving jerky. Also, why is there no option to customize a dish except for an ingredient here and there? I order the poke bowl and every single time- basil is put in it and basil does not belong on a poke bowl. Salmon is always on point!!!!!
Update as of June 2025- Our server barely spoke to us, the options were way more limited than before, and it didn't have much flavor. The worst part was that the gluten free bun was hard as a rock. I could barely bite it. I was very disappointed, especially since I was so excited to go again.. July 2024 Wonderful food. Great atmosphere. Excellent gluten free/friendly options. The peach lemonade tastes like a peach ring gummy. The roast beef dip sandwich with gf bread was amazing. It was some of the most tender/fall apart beef I've had. The keylime tart was fresh, healthier, and delicious. The crust was made out of (I think) dates, oats, nuts, and coconut. The flourless chocolate cake is small, but it needs to be! It's is so dark, rich, and delicious! Oh yeah.. They have dairy free ice-cream!! Win!
I didn't know what I was doing when I ordered the butternut squash soup and the butternut squash pizza together but they paired so harmoniously together. My friend ordered the Ancient Grain bowl and raved about the taste as well as the perfect portion amount. Our server Lauren was very patient and helpful as well.
Healthy, good quality food is the reason to keep coming here, but had a few head scratchers this visit. My friends brought their toddler and found out there’s no changing table in the women’s bathroom - only in the men’s bathroom?!? I hope this was a lack-of-space issue and not a social statement. We ordered three meals but were charged for four and the waiter never asked if everything would be on one tab or split. No big deal, just expected better.
This location of True Food delivers excellent service in an energetic environment. Overall the food is very good, but I find the chicken, whether it’s grilled or air-fried, to be lacking in flavor. The prices feel like good value for money so you can eat a healthy meal at a reasonable price.

Vegans rejoice! Fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables. The hummus is full of flavor and one of the best I’ve ever had. (-feta). The mushroom pizza with the almond ricotta (nondairy) was very good. I’ll definitely visit here again to try different vegan-friendly items on the menu.
Joined family members for birthday dinner. Food was really good albeit quite pricey given it was basically burgers & pizza. Assume the high prices related to the swanky location but could be wrong. Our server was excellent. Noticed a black bean burger option that appears to be a commercially available packaged burger? Not sure we understand that approach by TFK.
The food was delish. Beautiful restaurant and decor with a cute outdoor patio. We had a terrible waitress that never checked on us, but she checked on her other tables. She did a great job of making us feel invisible. I don't want to say it was because we were the only people of color dining in at the time, but it sure felt like it. So we definitely will not be back.👎👎
The food at True Food Kitchen was good, but the service really took away from the experience. Our waitress was dismissive, inattentive, and came off rude throughout the meal. We felt rushed and ignored, which was disappointing for a place with such a good reputation. I expected better service for the price and overall vibe.
I recently visited True Food Kitchen in Dallas for lunch on a busy Wednesday. Upon entering, the place was extremely packed and, honestly, one of the loudest restaurants I’ve ever been to. The interior had a great look—very inviting with a lovely aesthetic—but the acoustics were just off, making the noise level almost unbearable. It was so distracting that we opted for the patio instead. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated on the patio, even though we could see several available tables from where we were standing. It seemed like there might have been a shortage of servers, as there were a few empty tables mixed in with the occupied ones. The manager or supervisor was extremely nice but seemed quite insistent that we sit inside, possibly because we were standing in the way and they wanted us seated quickly. Once we were finally seated outside, the experience improved. The patio is gorgeous and spacious—a much better option than the noisy indoors. The server started off a bit dry but became more attentive when they noticed I was taking photos and videos. As for the food, I had the chicken sandwich. It was tasty but on the smaller side—not the most filling meal, but still enjoyable. Overall, the patio ambiance and the decent meal have me willing to give True Food Kitchen another try, especially if I can snag a patio seat from the start.

I wanted to like True Food Kitchen because the food itself was actually very good, but the overall experience left me disappointed. (One of us even had stomach issues afterward, which didn’t help.) The biggest drawback was the service — our waiter was rude and rushed us the entire time. He brought the check while we were still eating and even dropped off “to go” drinks while we were still catching up, despite the fact that the lunch rush was already over. It felt like we were being shoved out the door. The atmosphere is upscale and trendy, and the patio seating is nice, but the pricing was way out of line. My poke bowl came out to $40 because the waiter added 2x extra tuna without mentioning that to me. For what we paid ($110 before gratuity for lunch for 3 people without alcohol), the experience should have been much better. The food alone would have earned a higher rating, but the poor service ensures I won’t be returning.

Poor service and outrageous prices. We were seated for 25 minutes before we got our drinks. If you like $20 lackluster hamburgers this is the place for you (more $ for fries). $6 for kids drinks. Servers brought all our food out at different times, some of us were almost done by the time others got food. Oh, and they forced a 20% tip because we were a party of 10. Yikes.. will not be back.
Does this look like a $10 side of steak to you? Tiny portion slopped in a container. When I raised issue with the person at the register she rudely told me that’s the portion size. For spending $110 on a takeout dinner for a family of 4, this is ridiculous…
