10/10 if you want to study, it’s never too crowded, if you don’t want more coffee, they also have teas, just go early if you want to be able to grab a pastry
Now that was a great cup of coffee! I had a 16 oz quad shot breve that was super on point, and then, because it was so delicious, I had a second quad shot breve. Woot! Fuel that brain!
QUALITY! The barista helped me create which latte I wanted The taste of the espresso comes through all the way and she managed an excellent balance as I don’t like my lattes sweet Thank yall
My family and I visit Houndstooth Coffee every other day, especially this particular location. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the coffee is always on point. My two sons are also fond of this coffee shop because of the people that work there, and it makes me so happy to see them enjoy a spot where we’re always treated with kindness.
I love houndstooth! They're a chain (small) that always serves the freshest coffee and has a large selection of beans from Tweed - a local roaster. Their food selection is quite limited, but there are a lot of restaurants around it if that's what you want. Their coffee is their main event, especially their espresso, though their matcha is great too. I would always recommend paying the extra 50¢ for their single origin espresso, but maybe that's just me! They also have a LOT of seating, indoor and outdoor. They have a seating area separate from the shop, so there is very little noise there (genius)!
Cute little coffee place just off the freeway but with a nice plant wall making it feel like a secluded spot. Perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or tea alone or with a friend. Not a lot of seating, but there are both indoor and outdoor options and it wasn’t too crowded when we were there.
They make good coffee and drinks. It is a cool, hip place to get a good drink and chill for awhile. This store has a very unique layout and it fits the Houndstooth vibe. I have had the coffee, cafe au lait, and the cold brew. They were all smooth and delicious. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. You pay a little more, but it’s worth it.
Met a friend for coffee Thursday morning around 10.30. Not an awful lot of seating, and mostly high stools. There's an outdoor area (too cold atm), and an annexed "work" room where you can set up shop. There are no breakfast burritos at this location unfortunately. But there are delicious donuts! Recommended.
Cute quaint coffee shop with nice indoor and outdoor space with lots of shade right by Central Expressway. Loved their matcha with vanilla syrup and savory danish with zucchini, the flaky salt on the top was w chef’s kiss touch. Of course, I could not resist taking a bite before a picture ;)
I want to start by saying I walked in to buy a cup of coffee and a pastry. The coffee was very good which is what you expect from a coffee place. In the many reviews I've left over the years there are little things that start to add up sometimes that bother me. In this place, the employees didn't really engage the way a lot of other places do. Especially for a place that is not a big chain. I didn't feel particularly welcome. They took my order well enough and asked all the right questions what kind of milk the size of the drink Etc so not bad just not engaged. I got there late 5:30ish, they were sold out of all the pastries. I hate to mention a place that I try not to go to but, Starbucks has fresh pastries relatively speaking and packaged ones perhaps for this exact situation. If you only have cash, which in this day and age you shouldn't, don't come here. They only accept cash which means they exclude certain communities enough said. Lastly no printed receipts. So the only way you can get it is if you give them personal information on top of the credit card information that you are giving them to pay for your product. This can be seen as aggressive marketing or advertising I don't know what the deal is I just forgo the receipt in this case. All of that being said the place isn't really for me, I imagine it would suit most very well. Again the coffee was exactly as expected.
5 stars for the place. It has great outdoor and indoor seating but evenings will be perfect to sip a coffee with your friends or a date. Coffee options are limited but they have more tea flavors. I got a honey latte with almond milk and it was okay. I’ve had better at other cafes. The barista was friendly and he also designed a heart art on the top.
One of the Best coffees I have had. Iced Vanilla Oat Milk Coffee was $7.38. No price postings anywhere that I saw . I was not really paying attention to them make it but my sister described it as they kinda just swirled the syrup and everything and gave it to us, which made sense since the bottom was more sweet then the top. It came out too fast... for my liking. Again, it was an amazing drink, just tiny and way over priced and not being open about their pricing. Been back a few times. Still great. Unfriendly baristas still
Hung out to this place this morning after looking on Google maps for coffee shop. Super cool location and very unique set up. Not tons of seating so we ended up standing. That was okay we didn't mind at all. The baristas were super nice and did a great job. The only issue was it seems like the milk in my cappuccino got too hot and broke down the sweetness. Was just my first time there so could have been a one-time thing.
Tweed isn’t my favorite coffee in DFW but my Guatemalan cortado today was quite excellent. The prices are unreasonably high for the quality in my opinion, but it is located in a very ritzy neighborhood. The baristas were friendly, albeit not as talkative as this extravert enjoys. The inside was freezing cold but I understand that is how many prefer it to be. Overall, this shop is super cool - the building design, general aesthetics, and focus on sustainability are not wasted. It’s a decent trek from South Grand Prairie but I wouldn’t mind returning if I happen to be in the area. (Also, they have Tesla chargers!)
The atmosphere and service was great. Price was standard to what everyone else is doing at the moment. I just didn’t like paying $20 for two mid matchas. This place was promising but the matcha lacks depth and flavor. I’m sensitive to lactose (as I’m sure we all are) so having to pay extra for a milk substitute seems unfair. The standard of matcha is so high, so with the craze happening around matcha you’d expect for shops to follow in performance
I come here frequently when I’m charging my EV. The building itself is tiny so it’s very “grab and go” but there is plenty of outdoor seating. Every time I’ve come to this location, I’ve had a decent experience with one barista (e.g. the bubbly girl who takes your order) and a less than stellar experience with another (e.g. the guy frothing the milk and picking pastry items). The latter always seems a little rude, pretentious, and uninterested. This last time, I didn’t realize he had already prepared my items, so he just kind of shoved them toward me and said “These are yours.” No offer to heat up the pastry or anything, more like “take your things and go.“ I nearly left without tipping because of how he interacted (or didn’t) with me during the entire transaction. Sort their reviews by Lowest Rating and you will see what I mean. Many others have had the same complaint about service. I’ll go deeper into The Hill outdoor mall next time for coffee. I’ve given up on this place. (The one in Austin is great! No issues with customer service.)
