Opiniones de Lucky's Dallas
Classic diner food experience. Daily specials. Good service. Consistent. Relatively cheap & large portions. Definitely a go to. We got Pot Roast & Meatloaf. You can totally split the side salad.
DELICIOUS FOODS. Chicken inside my enchilada was diced like I was expecting real chicken but was still very good. Pancakes..to die for. Pineapple mimosa. Perfect!!!
We enjoyed our breakfast here. Good coffee and steady refills. Bacon was delicious. Nice portion sizes for the price. I enjoyed the gf blueberry pancakes with pecans added. Who needs syrup when there's cinnamon sugar butter in a ball? Not me anyway. Enjoyed the friendly vibes. We hardly ever go to Dallas, but I could see us returning here.
We stopped in for breakfast while visiting from out of town. Everything on the menu sounded great — we both enjoyed the all American breakfast. I like how they seem to buy their ingredients from local farms, etc. Lauren was our server, and she might be the best server we have ever had. The food was great, but the service took this place to another level.
Took my new boyfriend's parents there to celebrate his Dad's birthday. They are very picky. They loved the French toast and chilaques. They were very happy with the quality of food and proximity to their house.
Overall had an amazing experience! Rob was our server and was so sweet and took very good care of us! I got the chicken and waffles - the waffle was perfectly fluffy while the chicken tasted freshly battered and just so yummy. We also tried the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice which was delicious. My husband got the Rueben sandwich to which he said he hasn’t had a good one like this for years. The vibe was so cool; vintage but modern. If you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this is THE place.
When I first moved to Dallas the hype was "you gotta go to Lucky's!" ... And, finally I visited. Their Sunday brunch is a huge hit in Dallas so prepare to wait maybe 15-20 min for a table during peak busy times. Everyone waiting for a table was extremely considerate and polite. The food was worth the hype! I ordered their All American breakfast (Eggs, Bacon, Grits, and Toast) cooked to order, fresh off the grill. Our waiter was very cordial and checked in with us frequently. You'll admire Lucky's classic diner ambience, their great food, and being amongst wonderful people. I'll be back for dinner, I can't wait! 💯
What a cute spot!!!!! Love the emphasis on sourcing, providing information on who they get their eggs, maple syrup and things from. :) I got the vegiladas, I loved the crispy ends of my enchiladas. They also had a tofu BLT, and some other vegan dishes on the menu. They give you cornbread and biscuits for the table btw!
Lucky’s in Dallas is truly a hidden gem that deserves every bit of its 5-star rating! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like home. The classic breakfast options are unbeatable – I ordered the hearty plate of eggs, crispy bacon, and perfectly cooked breakfast potatoes, which set the standard for perfection. One of the highlights of dining at Lucky's is their complimentary biscuits and corn muffins. These soft and buttery treats could easily be a meal on their own! And speaking of deliciousness, make sure to try their French toast sticks – they're a game changer! Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and paired with a side of maple syrup, they’re an indulgent breakfast option you won’t want to miss. The staff at Lucky’s are also incredibly friendly and attentive, making the overall experience all the more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a diner that serves up comfort food with a smile, look no further than Lucky's. I can’t wait to return!
Awesome awesome awesome! I had eggs and king ranch enchiladas. Delicious! Coffee was great! If you like breakfast food from local cafes, this is the spot! They serve their full menu all day. Parking is tight, as normal for urban area, but man this place is worth it! Service was awesome. I don't remember the gentleman's name who served us, but he was hilarious and conversed with us. Great place to grab a bite to eat!
Tried Lucky's Cafe after a car rental return form Love Field. We love Deviled Eggs, so ordered them. All food is locally sourced. I tried the Enchiladas and eggs. It comes with 2 King Ranch Chicken Enchiladas with 2 eggs on top, salsa, sour cream, beans, and country potatoes. Wonderful flavor. Other ordered All-American, a traditional egg and bacon breakfast. Great flavor.
Came to Lucky's as our 3 year old was craving pancakes. We were in Dallas for a hockey game and this was close to our hotel so we ended up here. Pleasantly surprised to see that it looked like an old fashioned diner from the outside and the inside as well. The service was great, we were seated quickly with no wait and the wait staff were friendly and professional. We got the short stack, fish and chips and chicken and waffles and all the food was great with an odd exception to the waffles. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it was almost as if there was a hint of apple in the waffle and I wasn't a huge fan. Otherwise the chicken and gravy were great. The fries were really good as well. Definitely recommend this place to visitors and locals who haven't been before!
After having this place on my "Want to go" list for a good minute, we decided to stop in on our way home from a wedding. It was absolutely a good choice. The atmosphere is casual and very friendly. They definitely believe in running the A/C...🥶,, (don't really pay me no mind, I'm cold everywhere..🤣 We received very attentive service and the food came quickly. The Freshly squeezed OJ was so good. The Biscuits were really good as well. I love good bread.. The Pancakes were tasty with the cinnamon and brown sugar butter and pure maple syrup. I was definitely fatfull...🤣 Stop on in! You won't be disappointed..
The food was outstanding with a friendly service. Celeste suggested the heavenly potato soup which was perfect for the rainy day. The staff was happy, smiling, and keeping busy. Vegan and vegetarian options were available, and farm-to-table food made it even better. The delicious meatloaf only needed a bigger portion of mashed potatoes. Overall, it is one of the favorites now.

Let me start off by saying the food is passing, especially for breakfast. It was pretty slammed for Sunday brunch hour and they sat us fairly quickly so that was a plus. The food needs some spice. I would recommend some flavoring in the breading on the chicken and waffles and definitely the breakfast potatoes. The biscuits needs some love. Condiments are a must to spruce up your food. I see they have a loyal following and don't get me wrong it wasn't bad, it was just wasn't the local diner taste I thought I was going to get. The bacon was good. The breakfast sausage could be better. Next time , I'll try the lunch options. If I'm ever in oak lawn again, I'll definitely give Lucky's another try.
It was wildly crowded. Super popular. The wait was 30 minutes or more on a Sunday. Sadly no real room to wait, outdoors or in (it’s on a street corner with relatively small sidewalks) especially on a cool, windy day! The crush of people off set the ambiance. Our main complaint was the server not paying attention to our order and when he’d check on us he still didn’t really pay attention to our requests…we’d waited so long we didn’t complain or try to change anything. The food was fantastic! Love that they locally source multiple items. Corn bread in the bread basket was a delicious treat!
This was our first time here after searching the non-ending list of brunch places in the area. There was a slight wait, but we were quickly seated. The service was tremendously efficient but friendly with a welcoming touch. It was the classic diner with wholesome nostalgia. The food was above average, but the highlight was the side of pancakes we got! It was soft/fluffy/hearty. The cininamon butter put it over the edge!
Fire pancakes. Definitely hit the spot if you're craving it, but also giving diner food vibes. Would only go if you're wanting that vibe

Honest Review ✍🏽✨ We visited Lucky’s cafe for a birthday brunch 🎉 and were excited to celebrate, but the experience at the host stand really fell short. The woman taking names seemed irritated and popped up without a greeting, which created confusion for our group. It also wasn’t clear she worked there since she didn’t have a Lucky’s shirt, apron, or any kind of identifiable uniform 👕that would help a lot. When we tried to give the birthday name, we were told we needed to provide a “two-syllable name,” which felt unnecessary and dismissive. A clear guest list system or a more organized check-in process would make a huge difference, especially on busy Sundays 📋. The restaurant itself looked great, and we were looking forward to it, but because of the tone and confusion at the door, we ultimately chose to leave 🚶🏽♀️🚶🏽♀️. Suggestion: Consider offering a small birthday perk, like a complimentary pastry or gift card 🎁to truly elevate the guest experience and match the warm reputation Lucky’s cafe is known for. Sharing this feedback in hopes the hosting experience can reflect the same quality as the food and atmosphere inside. ✨ ⸻
Excellent customer service. The wait time for our party of 16 was very reasonable, especially considering this is a smaller diner typically set up for parties of four. We chose to eat here because of the convenient location and the high star ratings. The chicken fried chicken, everyone’s eggs, and the sweet cornbread were all very good. The staff was attentive throughout our visit. However, several items were disappointing. The turkey bacon was extremely salty, and everyone who ordered pancakes, sausage, or potatoes received them burnt. The waffles were the biggest letdown… the flavor was off, and they were so unappetizing that none of us ate them. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we will not be returning.
I came here a few years ago and due to unforseen circumstances, ended up coming here again today. But this time I will remember never to come back. The food was not that good and overly priced ($80+ for 3 people to eat breakfast, not including tip!). The tortillas the Migas came with were horrible packaged flour tortillas that were barely warmed up. I couldn't eat them. The potatoes seemed old and dried out. The grits they serve for breakfast are not traditional grits, just FYI. They seemed to be made with some sort of milk or cream and taste funny. The Waffles that came with the chicken and waffle plate was covered in a very salty butter mixed with cinnamon. My sister couldn't finish her plate because of the overwhelming salty flavor. This was just a very bad brunch experience. Our waitress was attentive, although very short with her demeanor. We did like the biscuits, cornbread, and sourdough toast we had with our meals. Those were made nicely, but it's not enough to get me to come back. There are other places with tastier food for a lot less with friendlier staff.
Steve had great customer service however the food was not good at all. We ordered a patty cake melt that was supposed to be medium well done and we ordered the pot roast hash. The pot roast hash had no gravy no seasoning would not recommend. The patty has milk was very dry. No seasoning on the burger would not recommend. They do provide bread service which comes with biscuits and cornbread. The biscuits were OK. I would not visit this establishment again. The food was not good at all.
Not worth it! We wanted to order a steak and scrambled cheese eggs breakfast, however it wasn’t on their menu. Our server Elvia informed us we could order the All American breakfast ($14.99) with the option to substitute the choice of bacon/sausage that comes with the All American with our choice of either chopped steak or sirloin. We chose the sirloin cooked medium, mind you there was no mention there would be a hefty up charge for substituting the sausage or bacon for steak. When the food arrived, it was cold, bland, with the eggs lacking any basic seasoning. The steak must’ve been the lowest quality sirloin available on the market because it was extremely tough and chewy. It did appear to be cooked medium, but that’s the only positive thing I can say about it. Similar to the eggs, it was bland and flavorless. The bill was $90 with tax and tip for this disappointing breakfast for two (with 2 orange juices and one coffee). That included a $24 surcharge for the two rubbery steaks. We would’ve been better off staying back at the Hilton for their amazing all you can eat continental breakfast for $30/each, but instead we wanted to see what all the hype was about over at Lucky’s. An unlucky lesson learned. Absolutely ridiculous, never again!
