I came on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was sort of quiet. There were a few folks at the bar. Staff was attentive and helpful throughout lunch service. Phenomenal garlic bread at the start of the meal - still warm! Ordered coffee, lobster roll, and a bucket of clams. The lobster roll was quite generous and fries were well seasoned. The garlic butter clams were cooked to perfection -- although there were only 12! Would come back again. Not sure why others had a terrible experience here.

This place has certainly come far since its last renovation. The service and staff is very kind, the food offerings are very robust, and the happy hour selection is fantastic, almost every day of the week. The fresh seafood is remarkable, emphasis on the fresh clams and oysters.

Last night before heading back to Florida. Absolutely the best dinner of my visit. Had the combination stuffed shrimp, flounder, scallops, grilled shrimp and a large baked clam with a side of linguini with garlic and oil. Even the garlic bread was perfectly toasted and delicious. My daughter had the stuffed shrimp. Our server Angel was very attentive and friendly. Can't wait to return. Highly recommend if you enjoy a fresh, outstanding seafood meal.

This location in Deer Park is one of my favorites. The times I have dined here, it has been consistently good. We had the overstuffed lobster, oysters, and steak. Everything was cooked to perfection. The restaurant has two sides, if you want a lively place to watch sports the bar is the place to be with lots of regulars. The inner part is quiet for conversation. Either way, the service was great, and there is lots of parking.

Finally went here for a birthday dinner after years of passing it. Very happy that i finally went. Ive surprisingly never had raw oysters so we started with a half dozen and their thai chili calamari. Both were great. Really excited to come back and try their other sauces for their calamari or just try it plain. Oysters were great. Really enjoyed all the toppings. We probably shoulda got a full dozen. Three of us split two entrees. One was the white cloud which is a ricotta pasta with seafood and the other was a platter with different seafood with our choice of side. We went with linguini and clam sauce. Everything was delicious . Portions and prices were fair and I'm really excited to come back to try other things on the menu

The food was really good and the service excellent. Villy and Danis were friendly and professional. We had the lobster tail and the swiss mushroom burger. Both were very delicious. The decor was beautiful designed I was told by one of the servers.

It’s a nice mom-and-pop spot with a cozy, intimate atmosphere that works well for a small lunch group or a casual date. I came with a group from my church, and the space felt comfortable for that kind of gathering. The food was okay, but there’s room for improvement when it comes to flavor and seasoning. Portion sizes were generous and definitely filling. The service was good overall, especially considering there were only two servers. They were semi-attentive and consistently refilled the garlic bread, which was a plus. The servers were polite and listened, but they didn’t ask some important questions such as whether the check needed to be split for our group of five or if we were paying together. I also wasn’t a fan of our seating. We were placed near a table that didn’t feel ideal, and it seemed more based on availability than service flow. Overall, I would still recommend this place for a small get-together or an intimate lunch or date.

Delicious food! Great drink. I wish I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular. The clam chowder was very creamy and had plenty of clams.

Popei’s was the chosen spot to have a celebratory birthday dinner. The restaurant has two entirely different personalities: A lively and popular bar, and a quiet area with tables and booths. There’s an overflow seating area directly behind the bar. The large barn doors do a great job of keeping the bar atmosphere from drowning out the other seating areas. Our waiter promptly greeted us and brought glasses of water for everyone at the table without us having to ask. We ordered the Thai chili calamari and had the option of having the sauce “tossed” on the calamari on the side. We chose to have it tossed but next time would get it on the side since the calamari loses its crispness from marinating in the sauce while at the table. I ordered a penne dish with shrimp in vodka sauce and substituted linguine for the penne. The dish was served in a huge bowl that one of my dining companions could be used a bicycle helmet. The sauce and pasta were great. The one downside was the extremely bland shrimp. In addition to being bland, they ended up overcooking in the bowl. I would actually get this dish again but would ask for the shrimp to be blackened and would move to the surface of the bowl to hopefully stave off additional cooking. One of my companions also ordered a shrimp dish and theirs was equally bland, but the ricotta sauce was great. The dish also contained crab, but it’s finely shredded, so if you’re looking for juicy, tender chunks of crab, this isn’t the dish for you. The Ultimate Chicken Parm received rave reviews. The breading was done well and all of the flavors blended nicely. Speaking of bread, guests receive complimentary garlic bread and it’s warm and tasty. Try not to eat too much if you’re planning on finishing your meal because the portions are Cheesecake Factory sized. This is just my opinion but it would be nice if Popei’s offered lighter portions of their entrees (2/3rds the size) but includes a side salad for the same price as a regular entree. The birthday person received a complimentary slice of cheesecake complete with candle and a Happy Birthday serenade by our waiter and another employee. It wasn’t the best experience, but we’ve eaten here a few times and are pleased with the overall food quality, so we will eat here again.

We went for a birthday dinner. We had a party of nine. The service was great. Our food came out at basically the same time. Everything was hot and tasty. Nice clean dining area. I also had a delicious cocktail called the Honeymoon, very good.

This is the first time at this location in Deer Park. The service was great and our waitress was very helpful. She even surprised us both with cheesecake for our birthdays. Portions are really good. I got the lobster and seafood fra Diablo there was so much I had enough to take home and feed two if us the next day. Great seafood and great apps.

Came in for lunch. Service was great, but the food was terrible. The shrimp was horrendously overcooked, overstuffed clams were 95% breadcrumb, garlic aioli pasta sauce was a weird brown color and the clam sauce had a weird smell. My first bite of the clam sauce was a mouthful of sand.

Placed an order for delivery on their website the night before Valentine’s day for delivery at 4:30 on Valentine’s day. Well they made it last night and let it sit for hours without so much as attempting to contact me. So today when the uber driver was there to get my order there was none. I called 40 minutes after I should have gotten my food for them to tell me no order and how it was made last night. No we’ll make it now and bring it to you. Suggested I cancel and reorder which I couldn’t do as on my end it was showing I’d still get my food. I ordered elsewhere and they processed a refund, that I should expect in the next few days. I will not be returning and will be sure to persuade others to do the same.

This was the place to be years ago with great atmosphere and welcoming setting. Now it was redone in the new decor that is very plastic and akin to Dr office waiting room. Sober up and bring back the seafarers look with real bar space and just open a diner in soho.
