What a terrific place for breakfast. The blue corn waffles are a treat and deliciously 🔵. Egg sandwich on a real English Muffin ( sorry Thomas's). Wish I had this place close to my home.
A little expensive, but big portions, great food and excellent service. They have a patio deck out back and have every other booth blocked off inside so it feels safe. Definitely recommend any look forward to going back.
Comfy place to eat with a full menu of good tasting food. Not cheap but you also get live music, a pianist, at lunch time on most days.
Have you ever been there? No? You've got to try it. The food is great, service is friendly, they never rush you, all food is fresh. They also have a freezer cabinet of take out soups, chili's, gazpacho. Try it, you'll like it.
Immaculate service, fantastic staff, live music on occasion (which is always wonderful), and incredible food. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the tables are always very clean. I’ve never been to a restaurant which feels as welcoming as the Luncheonette. I always leave the Luncheonette happy and fulfilled.
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the food is delicious -- a much more varied and interesting menu than you'd expect from a place that calls itself a luncheonette. The staff are always friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to eat!. And see how the old soup pots are used in the summer!
Dave and his team are amazing people who not only serve delicious food but give back to the community and support our kids! Its so important for us to show support for small businesses who give back! Delicious food and amazing people.
One of my favorite places. The food is always great and I've never had a bad meal. Highly recommend the soups and homemade breads. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.
Great place for breakfast or lunch. Today I had a sriracha chicken breakfast burrito. The burrito was very good, it had cheese and scrambled eggs inside. Their Ranch is good but nothing amazing. My only complaint was the live music, it's just unnecessary.
Great menu, lots of unique specials. Flavors were complex and tasty. Fantastic service.. We were made to feel like family. Quaint, homey atmospherewith a quiet ambiance. I highly recommend this place!
I am picky and I love this place. Very best for breakfast and lunch. The staff has been extra great the last few years. They have a diner type menu and then a full sheet of daily specials that are amazing. The huevos rancheros and the sweet potato sandwich plus the soups are the best! Who else creates a new menu every day? Went once for dinner and do like it more for breakfast and lunch. Find the prices to be very good considering the portions and they have to go containers waiting for you. Plus some baked goods to bring home with you.
Great elevated breakfast food. I had the farmers bendict. It was fantastic. Also the pancakes are great too. Nice ambiance with live jazz music when i was there. Slow service but worth the wait.
We ordered lunch catered by Four Corners Luncheonette for my daughther’s first birthday. David helped me develop the menu and ensure I ordered the correct amount of food. All the food was ready on time for pick up and he even helped carry the food to our car! We also found printed signs describing all the food to put out for our guests. We got so many comments about how delicious and unique all the food was. Will definitely use again!
Just a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. A varied menu with the classics and some very unique and delicious selections. Staff and atmosphere warm and welcoming. As always ..go and enjoy.
Four corners is my favorite breakfast place in the Capital Region. Great prices, fun and variable menu, and the staff is incredibly kind!
Quintessential Delmar restaurant. Old building but exquisitely maintained. Perfect for a solid breakfast. Place was busy when we were there - staff did their best. Food tasted fresh. Must try baked goods
Great friendly place, excellent food and service 😎
The Luncheonette very generously donated food to the TriVillage Nursery School Fall Festival and it was a HUGE HIT! The Mac and cheese and chili were both so warm and tasty on such a breezy day. Thank you 😊
Staff let us in early because it was raining. The waitress was very nice. The breakfast was very tasty and the service was quick. We also got refills on coffee. Will be going soon.
Lovely spot -great food, very friendly staff, and live jazz on the weekend!
I'm biased of course, this is a restaurant in Delmar. The greatest name of all time. I really enjoyed the pumpkin spice waffle with fancy butter. And my wife loved the breakfast burrito, she was sad she couldn't finish it because it was so tasty. Thank you for giving us a good meal in Delmar.
Great little restaurant. Food was excellent, service prompt and friendly. Highly recommended.
Had an amazing experience. Food was so delish and service was top notch. Very homey vibes. Loved everything so much. Very reasonable prices also. Mimosas were hitting might I ad… haha writing this review after a couple.
Has a unique diner feel to it! Somewhat off the beaten track. Kind of a homey place in a good way! They had this great live piano player while we were there. Wonderful atmosphere for that! And the food was great!
I’ve been coming here since I was a small child, their pancakes are incredible & other food is consistently stellar. Mark is a great waiter and consistently knowledgeable / provides great service. Today, I went for lunch, and had a tasty meal. When I was leaving, I inquired with a waitress about what soups in the freezer were vegan. She condescending told me that if I knew how to make soup, I would know if they were vegan, despite there being no ingredient list on the soup containers. She then incorrectly told me that one of the soups (the Cuban black bean) was vegan. Thankfully Mark checked me out and was able to advise that the Cuban black bean soup had pork in it! His attention to detail is greatly appreciated. I will be back the next time I’m in town and I will be sure to inquire about the contents of the food with those who are more knowledgeable in the soup making process. It might not be a bad idea to label soups as vegan along with listing potential allergens. I would love to see a tofu scramble on the menu as well! Happy New Year team!
I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! During our journey back from camping with friends, we stumbled upon this gem. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Despite not having a reservation and being a group of 4 adults with 6 small kids the staff handled us with great care. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch and can't wait to return!
One of those hidden gems, have been coming here for years. They have staples but also wonderfully eclectic options. Coffee is amazing... they never disappoint!
Love this place! The homemade bread is incredible.
Wow! This restaurant is a must if you are looking for a place to have breakfast or lunch and are in search of a meal and dining experience that you will tell your grandchildren about :-) The other day, I was trying to find a place to meet with a friend who was finishing up a project in Delmar. I Google Mapped restaurants nearby and I saw the Four Corners Luncheonette and decided to give it a try. It's a few houses off the main road and very worthy of your attention. I ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich, which came with sweet potato fries, and a homemade coleslaw. The fries were crunchy and fresh and tasty. I had them first because I like them hot. However, when I bit into the Pulled Pork Sandwich, I was taking-a-back, time stopped, and the world gained a new meaning ! The Kaiser Roll that embraced the Pulled Pork was truly amazing. It was crispy and delicious... I think the best Kaiser Roll that I have ever had!!! I was so impressed that I asked our waiter where they got them. He said that they baked them fresh there. The Pulled Pork inside was as impressive as the roll. I highly recommend this place for any meal. I intend to go back and have other breakfasts and lunches there, even though it is a long drive for me. BTW. Before you leave, I recommend that you take home a couple of quarts of their homemade soups. I took home 2 quarts of the creamy mushroom soup and thoroughly enjoyed it with my wife that evening.
Introducing the Salmon BLT Club! It's an amazing sandwich that I will order again. It's a very large size as well with 3 layers of bread. The horseradish sauce I'd like to have on the side as a dipping sauce next time. Super delicious!!
Great for breakfast and brunch. Hashbrown's to die for. Great muffins. Charming local luncheonette vibe. Loved our interaction with the very engaged owner. Highly recommend.
Hidden gem with occasionally live piano music and professional ladies running the helm.
If you were going to create a stereotypical local luncheonette, this would be it. We only shared a fish sandwich and it's hard for a restaurant to stand out with that. But it was very good, crispy, not greasy, and filling the bun without hanging out too much. Service and pricing was good and the atmosphere unexpectedly included a keyboardist playing softly in the background.
Quaint diner with cozy atmosphere, huge menu, live music, and great service. A nice find. We’ll be back.
Went for lunch and it was amazing. Service was awesome!! Will be going back again.
This establishment was very delightful, they allowed me to choose my seating and after a sat down the service was very quick. I ordered a sconewich and a thing of Honey Nut Cheerios. Unfortunately when I got my honey nut Cheerios a yellow jacket stole the Honey from it (please see picture under post). Beside that a thing of coffee and a sconewich went a long way to make this meal very appetizing. Thank you 10/10.
Plan on a leisurely breakfast or lunch in this cozy throwback restaurant open until three. The food is genuinely homemade and cooked to order. I love brunch food; sausage patty or bacon, crispy waffle and fresh fruit with real maple syrup. My friend gets salads, crab cakes, eggs Benedict. Consistent, tasty, and ALWAYS fresh. I bring home frozen soup- not laden with salt. The table is yours to leisurely linger over coffee.
We had a lovely late lunch here. The menu is so extensive we could hardly choose and the tea with interesting-flavored syrups was so refreshing. Service was fast and friendly and there was an excellent pianist playing, a fantastic addition to an already welcoming atmosphere. The gardens outside are gorgeous and the house in itself quaint. There were several vegetarian options to boot. A real find!!
I wish I could give it more than a five. I have literally been coming here for decades and have never been disappointed. The place has a quirky vibe started and maintained by the owner. The staff is pleasant and efficient. The menu is eclectic both for breakfast and lunch. Everything is wonderful. The soups are all homemade and come with homemade bread. For lunch today as an example, I had kale and eggs, which is essentially an omelette with kale, potatoes, eggs, and topped with mozzarella. I had their wonderful homemade focaccia with it. Companion had a breakfast burrito, which was also wonderful. It is a bit pricey, but I think the touches and the quality of the food make it worthwhile. If you come at the right time, you might catch Bob on the piano as well.
There is no better place in the neighborhood for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. They have an everchanging variety of tasty entrees for breakfast and lunch, an excellent chef, friendly service, and live music (solo pianist who respects classics and plays really well at perfect listening volume) Thursday through Sunday. I'm always happy to eat there.
We stumbled upon Four Corners while visiting some relatives. Had breakfast one day and enjoyed it so much we went back the next day. Delicious food and extensive menu. Homey vibe and friendly attentive staff. We would be regulars there if we lived in the area!
Really like this place food is always good have a great menu with specials. Highly recommend.
Small, friendly place with great food. We go there once a year when we have an appointment in the area. Look forward to it every time. Great scones!
We had such an unexpectedly magical experience at Four Corners Luncheonette. From the moment we walked in, the warmth of the place hit us — not just from the staff (who were genuinely phenomenal), but also from the patrons. Everyone was kind, smiling, and it felt like one of those rare local spots where people still look up from their plates to say good morning. The food was exactly what a diner should be: generous portions without being overwhelming, perfectly cooked, and brought out quickly. You can tell they put real care into everything they serve. What really set the tone for the whole experience, though, was the live piano music playing softly in the background. It gave the meal this cozy, nostalgic, almost storybook quality that you don’t find often anymore. It felt like stepping into a small-town moment where time slows down a bit. If you’re anywhere near Delmar, this place is absolutely worth a stop. Great service, great food, great atmosphere — a true hidden gem. Highly recommended.
Stopped here for breakfast and had a great time! The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. They came by frequently to ask how we're doing and top up the coffee. The interior is cozy and charming with counter, table, and booth seating. They also had live music which was a surprise and really added to the overall atmosphere.
Great omelette with apples, cranraisins and pumpkin seeds.. very different and very delicious! Waitress was very attentive.. seated on porch, was raining.. good cover, very pleasant.. was not damp, did not get wet.. love coming here!
Such a quaint and unassuming luncheonette with food that has no business being so good! We stopped here for a quick bite on a roadtrip upstate, but honesty the food was so tasty that I’d say it’s worth a detour. We had some incredibly delicious sandwiches and iced tea. The Steuben was possibly the best chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever had, but I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with anything here. Love that you get to pick your side too, and would recommend the black bean and corn salad if you can’t decide. We also ordered the flavored iced teas (peach & blackberry) and they were super fun and the perfect level of sweet. Oh and see from the pictures - the sandwiches come with toothpicks with fruit snacks - so cute!! While we ate, there was a really talented pianist playing, providing just the right amount of fun background music but you could still talk to each other no problem. This definitely isn’t a fussy joint but the wait staff was attentive enough and the prices felt right for the value. Loved that they put the check down with the food so it was quick and easy to pay when we were done. All around we found the place to have the most wonderful wholesome vibes and even bought some homemade jam and chocolate bars to take home! Can’t wait to come back again!!!
Good place for a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items. My wife's Blueberry Pancakes were nicely done. I ordered a special which was kind of a Mexican omelet with Chorizo and home fries and house made Sesame Oat toast. The toast was burnt, but the center had good flavor. The omelet was Ok, the Chorizo was tasty but the eggs were over cooked and not seasoned. The home fries were bland and had no onions in them. Service was good.
Solid breakfast and lunch place in Delmar. Serves up a great breakfast menu with pancakes, waffles, eggs, baked goods, and real maple syrup. Excellent sandwich, salad, and soup selection available for lunch Small parking lot, but additional parking available nearby. Several shops and a brewery within easy walking distance. Takeaway homemade bread, soups, and ready-to-eat entrees also available.
Solid breakfast / lunch spot with many specials and choices. Friendly and thorough service with a neighborhood vibe and ample parking. I was so busy chatting and eating I forgot to take food photos. All of our selections were well prepared and tasty. But their decor is a little tired.
French toast was awesome... really awesome and Rosemary toast was incredible. Waffle was a little tough (at home we prolly undercook ours) but real maple syrup! The eggs though... wonderful flavor and options. I can't wait to try some other styles here!
Wonderful breakfasts and lunches here - lots of homemade items, including soup you can buy frozen to take home! It can get crowded on Saturday AM, but we have just gone a little early or a little late and had no problem.
Four Corner Luncheonette offers a delightful small-town vibe with a cozy atmosphere, often accompanied by the charming sound of live piano music. The food is consistently good, with portions that are just right and prices that are reasonable for the area. However, the service can be a bit of a gamble. When it's quiet, you'll likely have a pleasant experience. But as soon as the crowd picks up, the service slows down significantly. Today, for example, I only received one refill on my coffee, and even after the server asked if I needed more, they never came back. Despite this, it's still a nice spot to enjoy a meal if you're not in a rush.
Went with my Dad who hasn't been since his usual lunch buddy passed away. The music was a nice touch and worth an extra tip. They didn't appear to be short staffed but, were very slow in getting the orders out. One of the coolest things about this place is the ready made soups and take home freezer dinners. I look forward to visiting again and making sure I have plenty of time to wait because it was definitely worth it.
Felt bad for the server. Only one server for the entire restaurant during the lunch rush. Interesting selections on the menu. I got a capicola sandwich which was rather unwieldy and overpriced in my opinion. Place is open 9 to 3. If I was to eat here again I think I would come mid-morning, or after 1:30.
It's pricey for breakfast food. 2 waffles, 2 pancakes, bacon, sausage, iced tea, beignets came to $47. Check is given when food is brought to the table which is fine but couldn't get anyone to bring take home containers.
Really cute little diner on a side street and what you'd expect from diner food. The Belgian waffle tasted like something out of an eggo box and the service was incredibly slow. Bacon was poor. Lastly, don't anticipate getting a smile or courtesy from the staff ... nevertheless it has a nice old fasion atmosphere, like an old-time diner if that's what you're looking for and if your food doesn't have to be particularly good.
This is the best Home Depot I’ve ever step foot in. Very wide plywood selection👍👍👍👍👍🦁💤🐑🪽💎. The only reason I don’t give ✋⭐️s is because a employee named Diane misled me into believing that a Kobalt drill was a DeWalt drill! (I explicitly told her/them that i EXCLUSIVELY use DeWalt tools‼️)
Had the Eggs Benedict which were disappointing. The Hollandaise Sauce tasted of vinegar and lacked a rich taste - very bland. The eggs were runny but a little overcooked. The muffin was a not good version of an English muffin. The service was fast with good service staff. The atmosphere is a nice home town mom & pop restaurant.
Enjoyable and likable staff and older clientele. We came on a Sunday around 1030. There was no wait for a table and the place was half filled when we arrived. The wait for food was at least 30 minutes. The food was just okay. I had the ovo vasco da gama a special. The potatoes on the side were lukewarm. No, I didn't send them back as the original wait was long. I wouldn't spring for the 2 dollars extra ny maple syrup it was okay but $2 for 2 tablespoons is a little too rich for my blood. The baurtwarts weren't cooked on the grill but boiled. The pecan pancakes were bussin'!
Four Corner Cafe. Delmar N.Y. If your palette craving breakfast food, you found the right place,we ordered scramble eggs, potatoes with onions, cinnamon toast, sausage, extremely fresh and hits the spot, also the pancakes with Vermont maple syrup was delicious, wish the pancakes was made from scratch would go a long way. So if your ever in Delmar N.Y. give Four Corners a try.
Waitress busy chatting with friends. One plain, dry waffle sitting on a plate that they threw 6 blueberries on, nothing else. Dry, but 4 of the berries were good, and the plate looked lean.
Stopped for breakfast. Pretty disappointed as the food was bland (french toast and pancakes) and the service wasn't great. They never brought syrup (we had had to grab the bottle from another table) and never came to refill coffee or water. Not interested in going back. Also, they wrote individual checks for each of our orders. Very odd considering they never asked if we wanted separate checks and we looked like a family (husband/wife/son).
Nice waitstaff but lots of mistakes regularly. :( Really like the place but after going several times and having my order messed up, items not brought, stuff not cooked the way I asked - waiting for unattentive staff. Its a very very popular spot, so maybe they are always just slammed, they should hire some more wait staff.
For 2 meals , short stack . 2 coffees and 2 chocolate milk was $82 with tip. Too expensive
Really wanted to like it but we waited awhile(30-40 mins) for our food and when it finally came out most of the food was cold. The food itself was still good especially the pumpkin waffle I ordered but one was ice cold and the other was lukewarm. My partner’s breakfast sandwich and home fries were all cold.
I saw only one other review that had a similar experience to us: great atmosphere, super interesting menu - but we ended up spending a lot of money on not good food. Every item we ordered had a mistake (missing ingredient/missing side/wrong item), none of which were noticed/addressed, and staff overall acknowledged us as little as possible. The wait staff had this crazy method of giving us a separate check for each menu item ordered, so we had 3-4 checks accumulated on the table during our meal which had to be added up at the register at the end - ? I suspect that had something to do with all the miscommunications between staff. It seemed like a very cool place so I feel bad reviewing poorly, but we left confused and disappointed to the point of noting that we probably should not go back.
Ok, on the bright side, it's super cute and old fashioned and there was lovely music. The downside is you are going to need the entertainment because you'll be waiting a while. My companion just said to me "that was one of the most expensive, worst, longest breakfasts I've ever had." When we arrived, it was about 75% full, and we waited for 45 min for mediocre food. (I asked my partner if his was good, and his response was "are my omelets brown?" (Granted he was a little peeved at the time.) I wish I could be more positive, and I want businesses to succeed, but sadly, I don't think we will be back. If they had acknowledged the wait or apologized, I would not be leaving this review.
The food was okay, not great. The atmosphere is nice. However, it was the most expensive, overpriced breakfast I've ever had. The person who I was with ordered two mimosas, but they were out of orange juice (A diner out of orange juice!), so she had two glasses of champagne with cranberry juice. They still charged the full price of the mimosas. We ordered a lot, but the tab came to $94 for two people.
Waited 45 minutes for bland undercooked food and paid $35 for the SAME meal that I got for $15 at a diner the day prior. $7 for a side of sliced ham. And the server seemed to either hate her job or hate other people. Every response was short with a vibe like she didn’t want people to be in there eating. Honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve had and the only review I’ve ever posted. Don’t go unless you want to waste your time and your money
We've been here before and were satisfied but it's most been breakfast foods. We try to visit local restaurants and they've had a good track record. I am well aware of staffing issues, shipping, cost increases, etc. and we've been places that have increased their prices but if it's an excellent meal, we don't have any issues. Well, this visit we only had 45-50 minutes. It was a Saturday and they had a full lot. Ok. We got our iced teas after 20 minutes. 45 minutes later we're still waiting for our club sandwiches. I politely told the server we needed to box it as we needed to leave. 10 minutes later we received our sandwiches...see pics. We paid $15 for a club sandwich. My chicken salad was more like a little chicken with your mayo. Small and really not flavorful. Husband's was turkey and uneventful as well. These two sandwiches and two iced teas were no where near worth $38. We just were at Kru Coffee in Saratoga yesterday and had fresh herbal iced teas and their BLT breakfast sandwich. We paid less than that and it was far superior to Four Corners. I hate to write a bad review but if you're tight on money and you wish to eat out, I can't guarantee that you'll be happy here. If there was any acknowledgement of them being busy even (not really an apology but some kind of sensitivity), I wouldn't let it slide but the server sort of slapped our bill down saying nothing and that was that.
People who rate this restaurant high must be senile, absolutely terrible food had no taste asked for a little more syrup they charged for that like 250 for an ounce will never go back. We go out all the time and this is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. can’t believe they’re still in business. People giving this restaurant high marks need to get out a lot more.
I haven’t been here in years but remember it being great. Unfortunately this morning I cannot say the same. It was not clean, I had a dirty fork, fly in my coffee and could see bugs crawling on the wall. Broccoli and mushroom omelet, eggs over easy with toast and hash browns took 30 min to get to the table while there were no other tables waiting for food. The food was not good, the best thing was the toast if that tells you anything. The shredded hash browns that cost extra were completely void of any flavor, even potato. To make it worse the check total was 46$. I will not go back.
Do not go here. Things are severely over priced for the quality. If you do go, order water as they charge you $4.25 for a CAN of soda. The breakfast food is average, nothing special. If you want a good, wholesome breakfast; there are much better choices in the area. Do NOT go here, or you and your wallet will regret it.
I ordered a Ruben ended up with a grilled pastrami with no dressing. Overcooked dried out hardly any meat for 17.99 I would’ve been better off going to McDonald’s and getting a better meal and the owners attitude sucked immediately never again
Used to love going there. Been going there since the mid- 90s. Went there recently for breakfast and waited over an hour-and-a- half for our food and when we asked when we would get our good, were told they had not even started on our order. Really felt sad. Will never go there again.
Friendly people and cozy place, but was very disappointed with the food and service. Hollandaise and home fries were terrible. Asked the server for a drink and it never came, reminded her and she comes out with a completely different drink. For the price, very disappointing and won’t be returning. 😔
The food here was not good at all and the prices were absurd. I ordered a BLT and a side of home fries. Which ran me to a total of 18 dollars for a single person before a tip. The BLT itself had not much flavor at all, The bacon was completely burnt and hard. The home fries were mediocre. I barely ate half of my sandwich and none of my home fries. I then ended up going to a different establishment to have breakfast. I shouldn’t have even paid 8 dollars for that. Very disappointed and this business needs to lower its prices for the quality you get.
Went to Four Corners for breakfast on Father's Day. Even though our wait time for a seat was less than 5 minutes, our food took an hour and 15 minutes to come out. Only one table had their order at one point and every other table was looking around for signs of being served. The wait staff did everything to look "busy" but just kept refilling creamer and conversing with each other. We went 45 minutes without anyone asking if we wanted a refill of water yet watched them bounce around, trying to not make eye contact with customers. We don't mind long wait times but at least acknowledge the customers and offer understanding that it's annoying but unavoidable. Several tables left after paying for drinks and we attempted the same but by some divine miracle, our food was ready. A table got sat after us and had finished half of their meal by the time we got our food. The food was okay but got overshadowed by the passive aggressive comments from the wait staff to their regulars, lamenting how busy they are and how some people just can't wait.
Most expensive breakfast I’ve ever ate…. For 2 people it was $71 before tip. One of us got eggs Benedict and a side of bacon, other got 3 eggs, sausage home fries and toast. Food was good but not $71 good. Will not be going back.
On Friday 01/29/2022 I visited Four Corners in hopes of finding a cute new place, with history, and delicious fresh food. However, I was sadly disappointed and appalled. When I arrived I was told to seat myself which is fine, the waiter offered me a drink and I decided on tea. While I thought there was surely no way to mess up tea, wow was I mistaken! I asked for honey and was brought over a bottle of honey that accompanied a story from the waiter. The waiter stated "So we have an issue with keeping our honey soft around here, as you can see. This is a new bottle so I am going to give you a spoon and you can scoop it out with the opposite end of the spoon". He then placed the honey and spoon on the table and walked away. Now by the looks of this honey (see attached picture), there is clearly something wrong with it and it should not be served to ANY customer. However, if you are to take a closer look at the picture you will see the honey expired approximately A YEAR AGO on 02/03/2021! So of course, I elected not to use it and hoped received my food would be a redeeming experience. Boy, WAS I WRONG again... I ordered the the Blue Cormeal - Almond Waffles with Berry Compote and Maple Syrup and the Fried Chicken Breast Cutlet which arrived to the table along with THE CHECK! Wow, in that moment did I feel more than unwanted by receiving the check with my meal, esentially getting the message of "Here's your food, now leave". Which as a woman of color, this adds another level to the act of receiving your check before eating your meal and reminisce of the past. I did my best to ignore this thought although every part of me thought i should leave, i decided to focused my attention to the food. While it's esthetic looks appetizing the waffles with the berries and Maple Syrup had NO TASTE/FLAVOR at all (which was extremely confusing giving the different fruits and fruit juice as well as syrup were added to it!). So I moved on to the chicken which was hard and burnt around the edges. At the table there was only a butter knife which left me fighting with the chicken to even cut it, and once cut, the toughness of the chicken left me fighting to chew it. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER RETURN to Four Corners Luncheon.
I have never actually been so upset by an experience that I went out to review the restaurant, but this was by far the rudest staff I have ever met. From the second I stepped in, I asked if I could just take the nearest booth. Afterwards, my server asked for my order where I never saw her again. Instead, the manager drops the food off with the bill, not asking if I need anything or saying a word to me. I felt so rushed and unwelcome. I was thinking my first experience here would have been a one off with the staff being rude, but it’s just clear this place does not care about customer service. It’s a shame too, because the food is delicious.
what a waste of money. and boy was it a lot of money.... and took forever, servers did not want to be there. not coming back
Wasn't too happy it cost over $100 for three people to have breakfast the service was good but everything was like an upcharge and they let you know how much more certain things, will not go back there again.
A simple breakfast for two came out cold, overpriced and lacking quality of a reputable Diner. Don’t come here unless you want to pay double the price of a diner, poor portions and cold food.
Ordered Huevos Rancheros. Got scrambled eggs on tortilla chips..... Had to check the menu to make sure I didn't order the wrong thing. Best part was they wanted $15 and change for this. When I asked the waitress she said they used to do them the real way but this is how they do them now. At least the owner saw that i didn't eat any of the chips and offered to take half off the bill (which somehow ended up being $12.50 after half off....)
