I've spent most of my adulthood in the south where there's Sonics everywhere. So when I found out there was a sonic near by I was thrilled. The service here was good no complaints and there wasn't a long wait at all. I was extremely happy with my slsuhie and burger. I asked for extra pickle on my burger and they loaded it up which made me very happy. My onion rings which I paid every for to get the substitute from fries or tots were mediocre at best. Which was a big disappointment because I've always love their onion rings. They're usually extremely crispy but today they tasted like they'd been under a heat lamp for too long and we're smushed in the bag period they clearly weren't fresh period but my burger was extremely hot so that made up for that. One thing that extremely bothered me was I did the pull up where you sit and wait and you push the button order your food period but my back had no napkins in it. I feel for any fast food place napkins or something that out of habit should be put in the bag for someone's food. Especially would drive up places like this where a lot of people sit and eat like I was doing today. If it wasn't for the onion rings in the lack of napkins I would have given them five stars.

My friend and I went here last week for a quick bite (which turned into one of the longest waiting games I’ve ever experienced). We placed through the app and went to pick up at drive thru. We waited at the window for about thirty minutes before we even got our order, and it was practically thrown at us. A part of our order was a lemonade, an Oreo cheesecake shake, and two slushees. When we got our bags the girl said to go through the app to get a refund on the drinks, no explanation whatsoever on why we didn’t get a part of our order (still haven’t gotten our refunds yet either). Food wasn’t too bad, service could have been much better, however if they are understaffed I can understand their frustration.

Very slow service. People who ordered after us got their food right away. We only ordered two mini milkshakes and boneless chicken wings. Clean inside. I ordered the peanut butter Oreo milkshake in a mini. The size was perfect. Ended up having to eat it with a spoon because the straw was to slim. Milkshakes are the only reason I would go back. Prices were too high.

The parking lot is empty, but don't let it scare you away completely. The place is run by only the manager. Nice guy to talk to. The lobby is closed, so you'll have to take the drive-through. You may have to wait a little longer than any other place, but the food is still decent. He did say that they did hire a few new people, but they never showed up for work. There is a lot of potential for the place. For such a big company, they need to help out getting this place back up to par.

Ordered online, pulled into stall. Over half an hour past eta for food and no one came out. 2 people in drivethru and one in another stall. Went inside, no one in there but floors were all sticky and tables were dirty, i rang the bell for service, waited 10 minutes later still no one came out. Went to the drive thru, 15 minutes later im still in line and i still do not have my food. Sonic is fast food or a restaurant? Lmk so i can plan my day better if i ever decide to come back.

The employee was not helpful the inside felt dirty floors felt like not properly cleaned and counter was dirty and tables. Had people waiting a long time. While they was in back talking not doing there job.

I went there Yesterday and two cars where there when i pulled in had to wait 10 minutes for the girl to take my order for a Plain Cloney hot dog plain, when i pulled around the two same cars where waiting , i played candy crush on my phone with no movement from the two cars so i left. unbelievable .

Arrived at location. Pressed red button. Waited for 30 minutes. Screen said I would be contacted shortly. This was late at night, but no one connected with me. When I chose to drive to the drive-thru, the gentleman said they don't monitor that system that late. Why couldn't someone in the store simply tell me that during the first 2 minutes of pressing the button? Why would they not monitor a system which provides business to them? More importantly, why isn't there a sign, indicating after clock time "x", please use drive-thru? Not impressed with this current system.

Took 13mins to get my order of 2 strawberry Cheesecake blasts..after they took my card and charged me while I was 3rd in line...then gave one to me while they made the other and they didn't put the Cheesecake bits on the second one..had to hand it back...they looked like two different items...and there was a hole on the second one...worst Sonic experience ever!!

Was pretty disappointed. Was going to eat here on my way home from a trip. Drove to this location and was sad to see that only the drive thru was open. Not sure what the issue was. I'm guessing no staff to work?

I used to love taking my family here for a special little treat as we don't have sonic where we live. My favorite thing to get was the banana milkshake. I got the banana milkshake today and I was given a cup of vanilla soft serve ice cream and was told it was my milkshake. I tasted it, no flavor whatsoever. To make sure I had two other of my family members taste it to make sure I wasn't going crazy. They said it just tasted like vanilla ice cream. I told the the girl working and she said it was just light flavor. I let it go. There was one car ahead of us and we waited altogether 20 minutes for two hot dogs, fries, and a breakfast burrito all which was cold. The last couple of times we came here we have had issues but we figured maybe they were having an off day. Today was the last time we will be going there sadly.

Placed a mobile order at 11:20 PM, arrived at 11:45 PM only to find out they've been closed for almost an hour. Why are you accepting mobile orders if you are not open? The employee cleaning up was nice but this is extremely frustrating. Owners need to turn off mobile orders if they aren't open.

Went thru drivethru. Ordered #3 with no onions, tots, small coke. Customer in front of me must've had a problem as a young lady came out and got my money then brought me my food. I tipped her $5.00 for going above and beyond in this cold weather. Got on the highway reached in my bag. No napkins, tots are cold and burger has onions. Scrapped off Burger but couldn't finish it as the onion taste was all through it. Luckily I had a spare shirt to use as a napkin. Not a pleasant visit, first and last time I'll go here. EDIT: I'll probably go back as everyone can have a bad day. Can't let one visit judge the restaurant.

Asked for cherry limeade was given regular limeade, the girl fixed it….but I ordered a chili cheese TOT….what I got was chips…. Super annoyed as I’m only on lunch for 30mins so I couldn’t have gone back to have it fixed!!! The speaker was low I could barely hear, apparently neither can the person taking orders!!! 👍🏻

They charged me for sauces when I ordered chicken... customer service is this locations biggest fail. We waited awhile for a Sonics to come to Syracuse and for it not to focus on treating customers with a little joy and a simple smile makes this location a fail for me. Food was great and employee was great. Had to wait 28 minutes for food and there was only one car ahead of me. This place is obviously understaffed. Not the fault of the employees. Feels like it's only a matter of time before Sonic shuts this place down. Serving two customers an hour can't possibly be profitable.

Waited at the store for five minutes with no response. When I went to the drive-through and asked a question about the fries The employee was super rude and accused me of snatching my card back from him, and then had a entire attitude the whole rest of the experience. It’s safe to say I’m probably won’t come here again.

Went here a while ago along with the location on Brewerton and it is astonishing how they will try their hardest to never take your order, and if you somehow manage to, will never give you your food. I drove around to the pickup window and ordered and paid there because its the only way to get the workers to do their jobs. Most of them just sitting in there on their phones. Something else has to be going on with these locations theres no way they are sustaining these businesses on their food sales alone.

This place is so dirty, your feet stick to the floor. My husband insisted on coming here. Absolutely awful. We are literally the only customers in the place and they forgot our order so service is also spectacular. Still waiting for half my order.

Left a review 2 years ago stating I'd never be back but my grandmother was craving it so came back. Even more disappointed the second time around. Had to delete my last review in order to leave a new one. When I pulled in there was only one person in front of me and yet I sat in line and at the speaker for almost 15 whole minutes before someone was finally able to take my order. And then sat for another 20 minutes before my food was ready. From what I understand this location only has 2 workers so it is absolutely not their fault, it is higher management and hrs fault. This location should not be open with only 2 workers on shift, close it down or wait until you have the proper amount of staff to run the place. They're definitely overworked and underpaid in there. Only go if you have 30-45 minutes to wait for your food.

11/30/2024.. Would you eat this ??? Totally burnt Corn Dogs. I took them back to the drive through. They made 2 more.. Still burnt and not eatable. I willl never go back and suggest others to stay away.. 10 minutes for burnt food with no one in front or behind us. When you first opened years ago service and food was great.....

Pretty sure no one works here in the evenings. I have been twice, several months apart and despite closing at 11, no one could be seen from 9-close. Waited in the drive thru line, nothing. Waited for someone to come to my vehicle, nothing. Several other cars opted to stay and wait. After about 20/25 minutes, I drove down the road to go somewhere else. Disappointing.

Placed an order on the app 45 minutes before they closed. Came up to the drive through speaker and sat for 5+ minutes before someone came to talk to me, stated they couldn't do shakes, slushes, or anything grilled which was my entire order except for a soda. Got to the window and waited even longer just for them to refund my order and basically tell me to go away. Only good thing about any of this was getting my money back, if you close at 10 serve food until 10 otherwise close earlier.

How in the world can anyone rate this place other than a 0. I waited legitimately 30 minutes for two sodas. no food, because everytime i go they are out of everything. for a sonic at 11 am to tell me “sorry we’re not serving food right now”. like what? How can a fast food place not have any food. Workers need to be trained to be mor efficient, absolutely no hate because at this point it HAS to be management issues because this should not be happening. There is morning fast about this food. No matter how good the food is, that pot hole at the beginning of the entrance gives the entire experience a 1 star. When they have to start paying for tires to be fixed our alignments maybe they’ll get it fixed. Until then I’ll never return, it’s so deep it feels like my car is going to fall apart, idk how anyone returns to this location. It’s unfortunate because my mom loves the food and always wants me to take her when I’m in town. Maybe we’ll just do Uber eats or DoorDash bc I refuse to take My truck through that.

This place’s management seriously needs to hire people and stop letting only 1-2 teenagers run the place by themselves. A few weeks ago we placed a mobile order, sat in the stalls for 45 minutes, and then waited another 25 at the drive thru. Today we went and despite no one being in front of us or at the drive thru window, we sat for about 25 minutes. When we drove away & looked in the window as we did so, a single girl was inside on her phone. I honestly don’t care even that she’s on her phone but girl at least take our order. Anyways, do better management

Ordered my food on their app. Sat at the stall for 40 minutes. No one answered the call button. Went through the drive through to mention the issue since all of their doors were locked. They said they were short staffed and they would reimburse my money since I was leaving. They never reimbursed the money and I got no food after 1hr 20mins of waiting.

Carhop acted pissed that he had to actually walk to my car. I had a tip ready to give him, but he acted like a jerk so we didn’t give anything. They gave me three large drinks and I ordered 3 44oz drinks and he said whatever. I paid for extra grilled onions and there were hardly any on it. And the hotdog was overcooked. Customer service in fast food is gone, especially at Popeyes and sonic They simply do not care and it shows.

One of the worst Sonics I've ever been to. HORRIBLE customer service. I could not hear the lady through the drive thru speaker to save my life. I clearly and loudly stated that I could not hear her and asked her to speak louder. She kept repeating herself mumbling the same thing over and over again without increasing her voice volume. And NO I do not have hearing issues. She was whispering and mumbling. It got to the point where I was ready to drive away without ordering bc I couldn't hear her. I asked if they had the new pink flamingo drink where I was corrected that it was a twisted flamingo drink. It wasn't on the menu yet so I was just going by memory. Sure, ok. I order one of those. I also ordered two chili cheese coneys and cheddar peppers. I get to the window and I see my drink overflowing every week and the same girl that I could barely hear earlier in the drive thru sopping it up with napkins. Finally she just opened the window and handed me this wet sticky cup with drink overflowing out of it and a stack of napkins. Nice. Finally my food comes (which I was suspicious about bc I got charged $25 for all of this) and I was handed two footlong coneys. I tried to explain that I just wanted the regular size coneys and I needed a refund for the price difference. The girl who I could still barely hear was just relaying my message to someone in the back. Every time I said a few words she'd look at someone I couldn't see and repeat them. Gave me an attitude over the order. They were willing to fix it but told me I had to keep the foot longs and didn't know how to give me the refund for the difference in price. I was on my lunch break and didn't need two foot longs and 2 regulars and didn't have much more time to spend so I just said "forget it" and drove away.

I went today with my family at about 4:00 pm. The parking lot should have been a warning. Potholes and looking run down. Only one person ahead of us. We waited 20 minutes at the drive through. Our tots were cold and tasted like oil hadn't been changed in months. My daughters shake was rancid. Our cheeseburger was cold, dry and iceberg was rotten. Had to be the worst takeout food we have ever had anywhere. We use to love Sonic but something is very very wrong at this location.

If I could rate 0 I would. Don’t waste your time. I placed an online order as I’m in a rush for a work related trip. I pull up at the time needed for pickup. I sit there for almost 10 minutes and nothing. Walk up to the door and it’s “Lobby is closed” Lobby is a mess to begin with so I see why, full of junk. So I go to the drive thru window and don’t see a soul in there. Lights are on but nothing. I ended up leaving and going elsewhere. Not only do I now need to dispute a charge on my card but I had to waste 20+ minutes waiting. I should of read the reviews.

We came down from Ontario for my kids to experience sonic, well they hated it. The 2 girls working were sitting in a booth and didn’t want to take our order. Finally did and made the burgers wrong and smashed them down like they were mad we made them work. Ordered $60 in food and threw most of it out. All these reviews lately aren’t lies or over exaggerated. Stay away go anywhere else seriously. You keep replying to peoples reviews but make zero changes obviously.

ZERO STARS!!!! THE ASSOCIATES WORKING AROUND 8:30 THE WORST ESPECIALLY THE YOUNG MANAGER!!!! THEY HAD ME WAITING ON MY FOOD FOR A HOUR. SO HE SHUT THE DOOR IN MY FACE. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I LITERALLY HAD TO GO WHERE THEY PREP FOOD TO RETRIEVE MY ORDER SMH NEEEEEVVVVVEEERRR AGAIN! I SHOULD’VE KNOWN IT WAS BAD WHEN ANOTHER CUSTOMER SITTING WAITING FOR HIS ORDER AS WELL TOLD ME THIS WAS THE WORST SONIC THEY HAVE EVER BEEN TO AND SO HAVE I!!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

Spent 21 minutes to pick up an online order at the drive-thru behind only 3 other cars because the lobby was, as it always is, closed. I've tried going to a stall before only to be ignore for upwards of 10 minutes and I was the only car there. It's just horrible, they might as well close. Unless they're using it as a front, they cannot be making money.

Literally THE WORST Sonic around! The place looked deserted. Horrible customer service. The rep literally took 15 minutes to ask how can she help with no explanation. I was already planning to leave in search of another place that sells chili dogs, only for my son would I be on a search like this. To top everything off when the rep was taking my order, the shake machine was down OR maybe they just nvr set it up for the day. I left. Other than the staff shortage, I had a better experience @ the Sonic in N. Syracuse.

Need to put less money into cute commercials and more money into training management and employees. We were in drive thru line for 20 minutes, and it wasn't even busy. It took 5 minutes trying to explain our order, when we simply wanted the sonic cheeseburger with no lettuce. Most other restaurants understand that just means excluding the requested ingredient. We were not asking for anything complicated. We ended up not getting our food the way we ordered.

Sense I can't get a manager on the phone... Im guna take my complaint to the health department... I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich... The bun is flat... Pancake flat and burnt which is odd because the bun is soaked!!! The lettuce is brown, slimmy and rotten! I have pictures! I tried my best to eat what I could because standing at a job on 120 heat makes u tired and hungry.. But guess what happened? I threw up! Ive called about 10 times. No answer... Surprising!!!

Placed a mobile order drive to pick it up. Drive thru line wasn’t moving. Pull into a stall and press the button give them my name and they ask me to come in. I go in floors are so sticky. The lady sees me and says they are working on my order. It was 6pm. I didn’t get my order until 7pm and was told they didn’t know I was there. Two of the three drinks were wrong. Pretzel was hard.

I gave the food a 1 star because we never got to eat it. Never got served. Showed up at 10pm, 2 hours before close. Pulled up to a drive up speaker box, waited maybe 5 minutes. Figured maybe they didn't work. Decided to do the drive thru. One car ahead of us ordered, then we sat there for 5 minutes and never got acknowledged. Drove around the building and back to the speaker, and again, never acknowledged. Ended up giving up and drove away. Other car still at the window. Seen an employee mopping and talking on the phone as we drove away and went elsewhere

I waited 25 minutes for two strawberry limeaides and I ordered on the app. I had to call them again asking where my drinks were. Now I got my drinks and they taste horrible. I don't see a lime in my drink like I usually get and it is more sodathan strawberry and taste aweful. This will be my last time ordering from this place.

Well I wouldn't stop here if you paid me. This young lady is very rude and does not know how to work a cash register... we pulled up to a stall and she ran it through the drive through so. We had to move to the drive thru. She had a huge attitude when they handed my card back with no receipt. Had to ask for it. The wait is so long to get food and no one was here. Then we proceeded to get the wrong order because you can't hear them at all. Then they stole one of our sandwiches back. And didn't give us food back. Avoid like the plague. Also, if your underage and can't handle a disgruntled customer then you should not be working... at 950 pm thanks.

Horrible experience, I ordered on DoorDash and it was for pickup. I went there and when I got there, I was told the milkshake machine was down, so she offered me a strawberry slush instead which I took. I got home and I found 3 eyelash hairs in my drink… not to mention the drive thru wait was long even though i was there for pickup nobody assisted me not even the drive thru worker handling the drive thru orders.

The restaurant may be called Sonic, but the service is anything but. Waited at a drive-in spot for 10 minutes, red button activated. There was no response. I decided to move to the drive-through instead. Once I got to the speaker, I gave my order at a rate of about one item every minute. By the time I had finally placed my dinner order for my family, we had been waiting for 30 minutes. The car that had been waiting for their order in front of me left because no one ever came to the window. I approached the window and it took another 5 minutes for an employee to come to the window or even approach the drink machines next to the drive through window. When she arrived, she attempted to hand me a different order, and when I asked if she had my order, she read off something similar, but not the same as what I had ordered. By this time, we had been waiting for 40 minutes. I left empty-handed and went to another fast food restaurant nearby and was in and out within 10 minutes.

I have never gotten a right order from these ignorant workers. NO CONDIMENTS DOESN’T MEAN PUT EXTRA EVERYTHING ON IT. Do not eat here if you want your orders ever completed the RIGHT way. Edit. Never Again. Tonight 11/27/24 at the drive through I ordered a smash burger meal combo with a chocolate shake that I asked to be made with vanilla ice cream. The woman that took my order said that's how they make their shakes. The total came to $17.27. Pulled around to the pick up window and waited 10 minutes for them to give me my order. The shake was pure dark chocolate and undrinkable, the fries were terrible, over cooked and not tasty, the bun of my smash burger sandwich was smushed and the top was torn. The most unenjoyable meal that cost me over $17. Hopefully this place closes down for good soon. Never Again.

The service is the slowest I've ever seen at any restaurant. Sat at the speaker of the drive-thru for over 15 minutes without a worker saying anything. I asked "Hello?" A worker responded for our first interaction and then I waited another 10 minutes. I asked "hello?" again, multiple times, and then was ignored each time. I don't get how they can even be open when they're clearly not operating a business or even care to. How can this owner sleep at night. The workers don't even communicate that it's going to be a half hour or more to even place an order and it isn't even busy!!

I stopped by recommendation of my friend Vaughn to get a late night treat of ice cream and a burger. I waited 15 mins for the line to move up, then another 5 for them to take my order. They told me there was only one person in the store and that is why it took so long. After another 20 mins of waiting I finally pull up to the window, get my food and drive off. I open my burger and this is what I see instead. I went back but they had already closed for the night. Now my choices are for my kids to starve or feed them a crap sandwich! Thanks a lot sonic! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT GO HERE .

I went here once last summer and waited what seemed like forever just for 1 soda. I figured I'd give it a second chance because I really do love Sonic. When I pulled in, there were 3 cars already in line, and 1 more.ordering in front of me. I ordered a drink and 2 snacks, and then sat and waited for 25 minutes. With zero exaggeration. 25 minutes. 1 vehicle in front.of me.pulled off, and 2 behind me had pulled off in the time I sat there. I then couldn't waste anymore of my lunch break waiting. Pulled out and went down the street to Arby's. Got my food and came back down the street and looked in the drive thru as I passed and the same car was still at the window. Never again will I go here. This place could really use a lesson from a southern Sonic. Update** After writing this review and submitting, I hit the clear button on my phone to go back to the main Google page and saw that the very next search record down was "critical health code violations" for this same location last week. Nice.

We moved from down south where there were sonics everywhere. We were excited that there was one in NY. Not the same. Took 35 minutes to get a small order and the ice machine was broke. Large part of Sonic is the pellet ice. Stay away. Go to McDonald’s

When I was there today there was nobody going in and no one else in the drive through. The workers were rude and ignored me and did my order wrong and overcharged me. And I sat there for 15 minutes waiting for food that wasn’t even what I asked for. I want my money back and I’m never going here again

Will never eat here again. Paid $13 for a cheesteak meal that was tiny, looked like they smashed it on the floor and was disgusting. I ordered a sweet tea and they literally gave me unsweet tea with a bunch of sugar at the bottom. The tots tasted like they'd been fried in old oil. So disgusting.

We waited over 30 minutes for our food after ordering on the App. I hit the red button for service, but we got no response after 5 more minutes. Went up to drive thru to ask what’s going on, to be told that the stall speakers don’t work, they didn’t have Ice tea, but they didn’t care or were shock that we waiting for so long. They had our food sitting in the back ready, it was not warm, and we never got an explanation of why they never brought out our food. We were sad that we had driven over an hour to have such a bad time, with no respect. This is not the first time I traveled to this location, but unfortunately I won’t be going back to this location again after this awful experience.

Close this place down or find someone who can actual operate the franchise. This is the worst Sonic I've been to, and I travel all over. Absolutely No effort in putting my online order together. Shakes were never mixed, no whip cream, no cherry, food wasn't cooked, they gave me small drinks when I ordered. One order had ingredients that were taken off due to an allergy, those were on the food when received. They use the excuse that they are training. Well there is no training, no effort, no care. Do Not Waste your time and money at this dump. Should not even be able to hold the franchise name. To top it off the outside looks like it's abandoned and the property looks to have never been properly landscaped.

Horrible service, order wrong, took almost an hour. I ordered and paid ahead online to save time, arrived and waited in the stall for 20 minutes after the estimated pickup time. No response to help button in stall even though there were no other customers. Pulled up to drive through and explained the situation and was told to pull forward without them asking my name or order info then continued waiting for another 15 minutes then was given only half of my order, the rest was not food we ordered. Was told they didn’t see my order when i said it was wrong, even though half of it was right. We showed them receipt and they didn’t say a word and closed the window. Continued waiting another 15 minutes while they remade order. Wasted 45 of my time for 2 milkshakes, chicken, and fries. Workers were not friendly during this entire exchange and did not apologize.

Horrible, waited a half an hour for 2 combo meals. They have 3 people working in the entire store, one cashier running both front counter and drive thru. I will never visit this location again. Don’t bother going. This is the second time this has happened to me. There won’t be a third.

Starting off it was awful pulling into the property due to a deap pothole. I had ordered my food on the phone app ahead of time. The app said to pull into one of the order parking spots. I waited for an hour and finally decided to walk up to the restaurant doors. The doors were locked and there was a small sign that said online orders need to use the drive-thru. I went to pull up the the drive-thru and had to dodge yet another large deap pothole. I waited at the drive-thru order spot for 15 minutes until I was told to drive up to the window. I told the young lady at the window I had a online order. She then gave me my shake that was just melted slop. I then waited at the window for 10 minutes. My food was definitely reheated and quickly turned super chewy. $26 waisted on poor service and poor quality food and drinks. The service and food were awful when they first opened the dewitt location. It's disappointing to learn nothing has changed. Would not recommend at all and I will not be returning.

Probably about the slowest service on the planet. I literally just went through the drive through. There was one car already waiting at the window for pickup and no one in front of me before I ordered. There were 2 cars at the stalls. I had to wait 5 minutes before my order was taken. I literally ordered 2 iced teas. Took about 7 minutes for someone to acknowledge I was at the window and then another 5 minutes to get 2 drinks. I don’t know how this place stays in business.

The place was dead—first red flag. None of the screens inside worked, making it appear like it was closed. Bathroom lock doesn’t work—totally unsafe. Music loud inside, tables not cleaned, no napkins, condiments, etc out in the open. Cashier Nye was less than impressed to be taking our order. Food was incorrect, missing add-ons for burgers. I went to this place between 4:30-5pm on Saturday 3/8/2025. I went inside because they said the side order is broken but stood there for awhile, ringing the bell and there was nobody in the front and I see cars coming in from drive through so I pulled around there. There were like 3 cars in front of me. The sign on the drive thru says that their tap and Apple Pay are not working so I didn’t mind using my credit card. I order my food and the car in front of me was waiting for their food after paying for their stuff. A cashier came out from the side door, trying to hand me my drinks and she told me the total. I give her my card and I took my drinks. The reactions were fast and all of a sudden she took my credit card inside for a couple seconds and I was puzzled but I didn’t want to accuse her and the car in front of me pulled away and I pulled up and I see her insert my credit card. I didn’t know she was gonna take my card inside, I could’ve wait and pulled up. Then she give me back my card and my food and I drove off. During that moment I was skeptical but I didn’t think much of it and was trying to be understanding that she was doing her job. 10 mins later, I get a notification that my money is being taken off. $99 and $143 from my credit from shien that I don’t use and that’s how I know that girl stole my information and bought something. And I didn’t use my credit card or shared my information with anyone. I didn’t purchase anything that day or the day before with my credit card. I called my bank and they had to dispute my card and I was able to get my $143 back but I’m still waiting on my $99. It’s just awful that someone can actually do to that to other people. I’m pretty sure that the people that’s were getting food there also got scam so be careful and watch where your cards go, don’t let them take it without seeing the whole process. I hope they get caught and get fired for doing that to people because that’s not okay at all. I normally don’t write reviews but this needed to be said to warn people going there since their machine is broken and their tap is not working.

Try to avoid this location. They are severely understaffed and orders take forever to come out. I will say that the lady that was working the drive-thru and gave me my order was awesome. She definitely deserves five stars but this location in general needs more staff. Food was mediocre at best. Very disappointed in the quality.

Ordered our food and tried to pay outside but was not working and didn’t give an indication that it was not paid until the server came out and asked for payment. Waiting over a half an hour to get our food. There was not enough volume of other customers to justify the wait times. After 25 minutes of waiting, I went inside into a completely empty lobby and dining area with no hint that anyone had ever chosen to eat inside with no attendant at the desk. They had rigged a ring button to alert someone when a customer was ready to order. After multiple pushes by myself and other customers, no one had bothered to even come and check. Instead they seemed more inclined to continue chatting somewhere in the back probably by the kitchen. The food was okay but for the price, quality and service, I would rather have stopped short and went to McDonalds.

Horrible, Horrible. Went to drive thru, waited 5 minutes for someone to take my order. When I got to the window, I was told they were out of something I had ordered. "No problem, just cancel it." I said. I was then told they will not do that, and I had to pick something else off the menu, which was no longer visible. They refused to refund me for a product they didn't have but rang me up for. I picked something else just so I could leave, having been there 20+ minutes. They then tried to short me a shake, which was fixed before I left. Upon getting home and inspecting my food I discovered they sold me cheeseburgers with NO burger patty!!! After calling to complain I was told they would only give me credit and since I have no intention of ever returning to this location I asked if the credit would be accepted at other Sonics and was told they did not know. A horrible experience all around.

What an absolute joke. Have been working near this Sonic for 6 weeks on a construction job have tried to go numerous times door is locked at lunch time. Finally got in once they should have kept the door locked it might take you a half hour to get your food even though there are no customers there. The employees don't seem to give two you know what's. If I owned this place I would fire every single person who works there.

Terrible service!! No one answers at kiosk, employee can't hear me yelling hello inside, yet answers at the drive thru right away. 2 people working, no other guests and it takes 15 minutes for our food because one employee is sitting on their phone in the kitchen while one employee makes the food. When the food is ready, she brings it to the window without a word, hands me the bag and closes the window. If the place can't keep friendly employees, just close. We were the only customers there the entire time

I am incredibly dissappointed by this location. When we arrived at the drive thru window. The machine volume was either too low or the worker was mumbling. It was practically impossible to order. They also turned the ice cream machine off 2 hours early, and I was very much looking forward to the holiday shake. WORST SERVICE EVER. I waited at the drive in stall for 20 minutes, after checking in for placing a mobile order. Eventually I drove up to the window, where she told me she didn't have the topping I requested, but offered no alternatives. She also was confused when I asked for a chocolate blast...I suggested "just add chocolate syrup." And the blast machine was broken and it was a shake. So it was almost entirely melted with all of the toppings at the bottom and the chocolate syrup only on the top. Rude employee.

Terrible. Carbonation was wrong on my soda. The mens room was more of a construction zone than a bathroom. Slow service, broken menu screens in the dining room. You have to ring the "doorbell" to get anyone's attention for a napkin or ketchup

This was one of the worst cheeseburgers I have ever had in my life. The whole thing was cold, like they made it and stuck it in a refrigerator before wrapping it and putting it in a bag. The french fries were luke warm and too salty to eat. The only decent part of the meal was the grape slushy, but the paper straw didn't even hold up for 1/4 of the drink before it deteriorated too much to use. I will Never go back there.

Nobody was here and we had an absolutely terrible experience with customer service! Younger girl (her name was nye) was incredibly inconvenienced by us being there at 6 PM. Nothing was clean and didn’t get what was ordered. If I wanted to experience the thrilling combination of waiting an eternity and being ignored like an unpaid intern at a family reunion, I would’ve just gone to the DMV. But instead, I pulled into this Sonic. The food? Eventually showed up, like a reluctant teenager being asked to take out the trash. The customer service? Imagine if someone had taken the concept of hospitality, run it over with a lawnmower, and then handed it to me in a greasy paper bag. Honestly, I didn’t know it was possible to be both understaffed and over-attitude’d at the same time. Congratulations, Sonic—you’ve cracked the code. Next time I crave disappointment, I’ll save the gas money and just yell at myself in the mirror. The girl behind the counter acted like taking my order was interrupting her audition for Most Miserable Employee of the Year. She handed me my food like it was a court summons. Oh your still here? The girl behind the counter had all the charm of a tax audit. Her attitude was so bitter it should’ve been listed on the menu. I’ve seen more warmth from a prison cafeteria tray. She managed to make fast food feel like community service. The only thing served colder than my drink was her personality. This trip was the kind of bad that makes you question every life choice that led you to that counter. I would’ve rather been on the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m. (Eastern) on September 11, 2001. This Sonic is living proof that sometimes demolition is the best customer service. At this point, the building’s only real value is as future rubble

TERRIBLE SERVICE: we ordered in advance and came to pick up our order, but it was not ready. The staff stood outside the window, laughed and watched videos on the tablet and after 15 minutes of waiting they gave us our order. This is my second time at a sonic in Syracuse. Definitely will be my last. Mobile ordered. Parked and tried to check in. Wouldn't allow check in. Had to go through the drive thru line to get the order. Took a little over 20 minutes. Pulled off and then realized items were missing. Was not going to waste another 20 minutes in line to try and get it corrected. Nothing was fresh and tasted as it had been sitting quite a while. Maybe their slushies are good as that's what we watched most cars in front of us getting. Called corporate only to be offered $10. Toward a future purchase. Turned it down as I will not return to a sonic.

Tried to get dinner, parked and walked up to the dining room entrance just to be told the dining room is closed and not welcoming guests, so I pull up to the kiosk and when I push the button to order i'm told I have to use the drive trough. I pull up to to the drive through and ask why I can't order inside or at the kiosk and the employee just laughed. Drove off without ordering, worst customer experience at any fast food chain. All employees working the evening shift on 6/26/2025 should be let go.

Horrible, terrible, disgusting, nauseating! This location doesn't deserve one star. Absolutely horrible and the worst fast food experience I have ever had. Couldn't have been more disappointed. After years of watching Sonic TV commercials, we finally decided to try it for lunch. The wait was longer than expected, but what we received wasn't worth the wait or the money. Tried calling the number on the receipt, but the number was not in service. The Sonic cheeseburger was ice cold! When the burger was un-wrapped, it was covered with lettuce that should've been discarded. It was an absolute mess. After 2 bites I threw it out. It was absolutely disgusting. The chocolate shake wasn't mixed. After about ten minutes of stirring with the straw, it was drinkable. I should've turned around when I saw the huge weeds growing outside the building.

This is my 2nd time to this particular Sonic and exactly one month.The 1st time was a bad experience and this one was no different. I ordered the New Yorker hot dog and they were out. So I ordered the chili cheese dog combo meal with a strawberry milkshake. As you can see by the pictures I've enclosed the hot dog was a hot mess and extremely, extremely dry. The fries and milkshake were good.I like Sonic food unfortunately this is the last time I'll be going back to this particular restaurant.
