Dobbs Ferry Lobster Guys

I’ve came here quite a few times both when I lived in Dobbs Ferry and when I lived in Yonkers. This place is excellent for seafood specifically the type of seafood I like which is favoring the shellfish side and occasionally what I like to call the steak cut side of whole fish (by this I mean salmon, sea bass, the other fish you get in a steak like cut). The owner is a boat captain who gets all the fish caught on his own boat and that gives the place a hands on feel for the consumers product at this business. Overall it’s great quality at a great price that cannot be matched by most other similar places of business. I’ve been buying lobster from here the last three years and I’ve also been buying seafood like little neck clams, mussels, bluepoint oysters, salmon, sea bass, and other similar wild caught fish. The owner knows how to find high quality fish for excellent prices and sell it in a store that is small but to the point at unbeatable prices. Each time I’ve made seafood from here has resulted in a memorable meal that should’ve developed into a weekly tradition but I wouldn’t say it did on the basis of not having came here every week for on my end. Regardless of the frequency at which I’ve done business here, the quality and price of their products was always top notch. When I’ve told others of what this place was about, I almost always got responses of this place is too good to be true. The reason for those responses is that this place does indeed produce consistent high end seafood for unbeatable prices. In Westchester County at least there is no better place to get seafood. If the seafoods they advertise are what you want, you will get exactly what you wish for. I mention it like that as I wouldn’t say their variety suits every seafood consumers exact needs but the selection they have more than accommodates the quality and price of each item they offer. Overall if what they have is what you desire, you won’t go wrong here. This place sells excellent seafood and is top notch by every measure. Included in the photos are dishes I’ve made over the years off of their catch.

My first hot lobster roll and it was SO GOOD! For prepared food they just sell lobster rolls, cold or hot. I’ve only had a cold one before and wasn’t impressed (in Boston). I’m so glad I got this one. Cant go wrong with melted butter. They also have fresh fish, oysters, clams, etc you can buy to take home and cook! We took ours to go and ate on the water.

Amazing fresh caught fish and delicious lobster rolls. Do yourself a favor and order the fresh lobster tails, seriously the best tasting I’ve ever had!

Lobster rolls worth the splurge!! The owners have been working on their outdoor seating and it's fab 👌. Comfortable and offers shade from an umbrella and from the trees. My boyfriend and I grabbed some beers from Climbing Wolf a block away and then enjoyed them with our rolls! Rolls can be hot or cold (choose hot!) and are served with pickles and watermelon, and of course lemon and butter. They looked so good I forgot to take a photo! Won't be an everyday meal, but great for date night or perfect summer weather :) I've also ordered salmon and scallops from the Lobster Guys. All was top quality.

Went for lobster and the food was really good. Parking situation is not great, but depending on the time and day one gets there thing do not need to be too bad. The place where the store stands is a bit picturesque, at least for those of us who are used to modern and recent commercial centers mostly.

If you are not buying your fish here, you must live in Fairfield County. Anthony has amazing lobsters of every size and so much locally sourced fish and seafood. Feeling lazy? He'll steam the lobsters for you. Can't miss.
