Emelio the manager is amazing! He checked on our table throughout the evening and made sure to make us feel welcome. I’ve been coming to shakeys ever since I was a kid and to bring my daughter into such an inviting environment will make me return again. Thank you team for all your hard work and fresh food. I showed up to pickup my phone order that was given to me incorrectly originally, and Jessica the Manager stepped right in and got it straight for me. I saw her smile through her mask, and felt her positive energy! Great customer service!

Pizza was really good, love the food here. It tastes better when you eat it dine in than taking it home because the pizza tastes fresh. The chicken was really good and crisp which I really like alot. Potato wedges are good. Shakes pizza has a unique taste compared to the other pizza spots which is why I always like to come yo shakeys. I do hope they bring there prices down though because the pizza is pretty pricey here.

Very happy with Shakeys and their staff. We were greeted as we walked in. Asked by the manger if I needed help. The cashier was very polite. The nicest part was when I took my two girls to redeem there tickets for prizes. They were short on the number of tickets needed for the prize they wanted. The young man behind the counter overheard me telling my girls they did not have enough tickets. He then told us it was okay and gave them the prize. It was very nice and unexpected. As a parent seeing my kids jump for joy meant so much to me.

Evelio was awesome very attentive and friendly with all my guest. Was checking with our party of 22 frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely come back. Keep up the great work Evelio and staff.

Best shakers in the city!!! Best service, clean and delicious. Plus great buffet prices for all you can eat but only until 3pm. Sad face, lol! Management is great and I think he looks like Ed Sheeran.

Great place! My family hosted our daughter’s birthday party. We had 40 people and the manager was able to accommodate. We even had a whole space to ourselves. Thank you Shakey’s for making our daughter’a day!!!!!!

Okay this is a weird one. The establishment is rather small and outdated compared to other Shakey’s around the area, however the silver lining presents itself in the taste and quality of the food. I ate here during the lunch special and the food was always kept hot and was always being refilled as soon as it ran out. The game selection isn’t the biggest but it offered a fair amount of tickets per game. The prizes are few and far between but the few things they have are pretty good for children. This Shakey’s facade is a bit outdated both inside and out, but it makes up for it by offering a home like feeling from the atmosphere and staff.

It's been a while since I've been to this location. It was dinner rush. The overall atmosphere was zen, inviting, friendly. Although the crew seemed very young, they must have a great leader because everyone was professional and attentive to the customers' needs. I hope the remain this way. 👍

They had all the pizzas nice and fresh fried Chicken nice and fresh salad bar what's the nice and fresh the way I like it staff members nice and kind we got to meet the manager of the restaurant he was going around the tables wanting to know if we needed anything we told him we were here for a birthday party we enjoyed ourselves on the one in Paramount in Downey we usually go to the one in Pico Rivera but that one burned down this one is smaller put we liked it it won't be our last time going to the one in Paramount thank you 👍

Food is tasty and staff is always courteous. We always order the PCM medium, which is good for 4. It gets really busy here, so if you’re not dining in, call ahead or order online to save time. Also, parking is limited at this location. It takes a while to find a spot, even in the back.

Staff was very courteous and professional. My wife fell when we were walking through neighborhoods to get to Shakey’s and when we got there they gave us two bags of ice throughout our dinner. Food was pretty good too, didn’t go into the arcade but it seemed like they have a decent selection of games. Very good dining experience.

I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for many years, I can definitely tell when I cross an individual who is dedicated and committed to their job. Today I visited Shakeys Downey was greeted by Elia V. As I entered the door she was also my cashier and answered every question I had regarding Brunch menu, very kind and very patient. Threw out my visit she also came to my table and cleared my plates and wiped my table! That’s is very much appreciated!!!! Clean environment! Game room was also clean and my kids enjoyed it very much five stars and thumbs up for Elia!!!!!

I enjoy going to Shakey's whenever possible and it hardly ever let's me down. The food is always good, in my opinion. Love the thin crust pizzas, tasty chicken, and the mojo potatoes are a must. This location often gets a little full, so you may or may not get lucky with the seating depending on the size of your party. Service was good and were doing their best with the amount of customers present at the time of my visit. I enjoyed it and would definitely go back.

Went for my brother's birthday 🎂 PCM (pizza, chicken, mojo's) deals are great for the price, in my opinion. The service was great. The food came out in a very reasonable timeframe and tasted delicious! NOTE: I accidentally made this review for the Glendale location when I meant to review the Downey location. I just copied and pasted from there to here. Either way, the food and service was good in Glendale also!

Shakey's in Downey is my favorite location. While cozy its always clean and the staff is very friendly. They actually look like they enjoy their job, which shows in the customer service they provide. The manager is also very nice and accommodating. The food is always fresh and tasty. Their prices are very fair specially for families with kids.

I had to complain to the Manager today being my first time at this location, told him why can’t the other Shakey locations be as clean as this one. Seating area and the self serve buffet area where very clean He said to me if you think it’s clean it can always be cleaner. Don't live in California anymore but anytime I'm back in town for family I try to come and have a family meal here. And it's the same location that I used to come to as a kid and it's still great! Food is always hot and delicious. You gotta go with everything, the mojo potatoes, fried chicken, and of course pizza! It's all great here. Wish they didn't get rid of the old arcades from back then though.

This Shakey's just won me back as a customer. Attention to detail and cleanliness is their main attribute. This location is leaps and bounds ahead of the Rosecrans and Paramount location. I had stopped going to Shakey's after a bad experience at the previously mentioned location. Luckily my wife found this Shakey's that is not that far away. Great place to have a meal with the Family and enjoy a game. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because the pizza and chicken was a little salty for my taste. The pizza twists were delicious and at a great price.

The food is always great. I took my grandkids and intended to have them play games for a few hours but several games were broken or in need of attention. If you don't mind losing a few tokens, it is still a great place to spend a few hours with the family. I have visited several times this month.

Crispy fried chicken, thin crust pizza with plenty of cheese, and mojo potatoes slices were great. Soda drinks counter had a smell, but I still drank the soda. Lol, I'm not dead, but full. Place got small arcade for kids.

Can't complain, it's a great place to eat, its made to order so you know when it's fresh and hot. The arcade is a smaller than other places but still fun for the children. Choices of fountain drinks could be better but it still is enough to maintain a good visit.

Not gonna lie, This food is awesome 👍🔥 I tried the 12” medium and it tasted good.averything taste good. Chicken, pizza, the cheese and other is also what I like putting on my pizza. Mostly averything taste good. The only thing I don’t like is that I don’t like how tiny the pizza are. But the rest is W means that averything is fire 🔥 and good.

Ok i love this spot because its tiny and vibes are always great here. As a dad, I’d say a family of four can expect to spend around $100, maybe a bit more if the kids hit up the arcade. The salads are decent, but the pizza stands out definitely better than average. However, the real star is the chicken; it’s packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned.

The 🍕 is really good. My family's favorite however the service is questionable. Everytime I call I get put on hold for over 5 min and no one picks up. I have to call back to order and by that time I have already driven there or halfway there. It's frustrating. Special order Mojo's ....EXTRA CRISPY. they don't seem to understand . I have to ask multiple times. Once it's done it tastes great just need to make sure I get them done correctly the first time. Additional information: they do not pay attention when making the order. We order light light sauce every single time we come and almost half the time they have to remake the pizza because they put extra sauce. They need to pay more attention.

Went here for the all you can eat and everything tasted below average . You're paying around 15$ for all you can eat but there is better places with that kind of deal and better quality. Positive things about this place is the service and it's well maintained

The food was fantastic but the reason this gets a 3 star is because the buffet is very hit or miss. It’s like you have to fight your way just to get a slice sometimes. There’s always enough mojos and chicken but the pizza takes a long time. Once they put a pie it runs out in a hurry. But sometimes it’s not like that so it just depends on the day. Also the place is sometimes dirty lost or dishes laying around. Staff is nice, foods good, all around decent.

Best thing about this place is the arcade they have. Wasn't all that impressed with the food, it's like maybe pizza hut off brand and KFC off brand. Honestly I wouldn't have eaten here but it was a free meal and the person paying blindly loves their "seasoned" fries. They are very clean though and great with families.

THIS PLACE HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went to dine in, the place was empty and waited over 30 minutes and no food, went to ask if my order was as almost ready and they had forgotten to place my order. Waited another 30 minutes for my food just for them to bring my pizza in a box when I was going to dine in. They didn’t even bother to bring us plates, we had to ask for plates to eat in and they brought out paper plates. I paid for a service just like everyone else and they couldn’t even do the minimum to make our experience better. When I complained about it they still gave me attitude. This place lacks customer service from its employees and manager and the food is not even that good.

I’ve been coming here for roughly 20 years not once’s have I had a bad experience until today . Complained to the manager cause the pizza that they where trying to pass for a pan was not a pan under cooked twice the mojos seems to have been left under the heating light to long before getting to us . This place is pure trash, if you want frozen pizza and cold pizza this is the spot, I stopped by to try it since it used to be good when I was a kid. The salad bar wasn’t good the lettuce was brown and nasty. All the pizza was sauce less and cold should have just gotten a Digornio better, the chicken and everything else was ehh. I used to remember this place being great, now it’s just a frozen food pizza joint.

Don't go to this shakeys. My car was towed and the tow yard "Mr C's towing" blamed it on shakeys security called and reported that I was not a customer. I have a receipt to prove that I was a customer and that's not good enough for the tow yard. The tow was $430, and that is a very expensive shakeys visit! They left my car damaged saying it was like that. DO NOT VISIT this Shakey. It is a trap! It is a $430 scam!!

The service was terrible. First the register was completely empty. They had all these employees and the one person on register disappeared for six minutes. I almost left by the time the person came back. Then they completely forgot about my order. When we spoke to them about it, no one put the order in. It took an hour to get my food and when they brought the order it wasn't complete. The person who worked the prize counter was amazing and so was the person who bought the food, it wasn't his fault and he was the only one who showed face the whole time we were there.

Food is good but it wasn't a good experience for my family and I. We were double charged and when my husband called the manager he got the run around. Manager said he needed to talk to his I.T. department yet never got back to us. It's been a week and nothing. Shady shady shady. That is not how you do business and that is not how you treat customers. Disappointed this was my Shakey's most of my life, will not be returning.

Be very careful and keep an eye on your car. My car was illegally towed even though I was a customer there eating with my family. The security guards get commission from towing company Mr C’s for towing vehicles.

I was highly disappointed with my visit today. The first incident I had was with the cashier. It was me and two kids. I came for the Lunch of Bunch. I told him it was me and two kids. But he had put three adults and wasn't listening and was refusing to change it. The second incident I has was with thr cleaning crew. We had gotten up to get more food. There was a line to get more food which was understandable. While we were in line to get food, the cleaning crew had clean up our table and another party had sat at our table. The guy who cleaned our table didn't want to do anything about it.

We ordered chicken, and it came out completely soaked in oil. Not crispy, not fresh just dripping grease to the point where it was hard to eat. It honestly tasted like the oil was old and reused, which is unacceptable for any restaurant. The quality was terrible, and it felt careless and unsafe. Between the food quality and the overall experience, this place has serious problems with standards and kitchen management. Extremely disappointing and not worth the money at all. I would never order food from Shakey’s Pizza Parlor again.
