Little brother had been craving a tomahawk steak but couldn't go personally since he got injured so we went to pick it up. They made things work out to have the tomahawk to go(even cut it up, which was amazing). He has been there before but for me personally it was my first time and it was amazing. I got the asada as well as my mom we liked it sister got the birria tacos and the hot Cheetos fries, Everything was delicious 🤤 (Sorry ate the food before taking a pic)

This was my first time visiting Mr. Tempo and the experience was everything i expected and more. The food was great had the shrimp ceviche as an appetizer as well as the chips and guac for drinks i ordered the margarita flight which was also great will definitely come back

The chilaquiles and the huevos rancheros were ok. The salsa raja they give you on the side is very good and has a kick to it. Order my asada medium but it came well done. The black coffee is really good without sugar or milk which was really surprising. They gave us samples of menudo saying it’s going to be added to the menu soon and honestly I don’t like menudo but it was savory. The DJ they had playing on Sunday was dope!

Great place for drinks and food. Menu has Seafood, Steaks, Vegan, and other good selections. Along with a bar that can go along with your dish. Tell the waiter it's your first time and she will gladly tell you about all the popular dishes and appetizers. She will guide you with your order and also how you may best enjoy your food.

I’ve been here a handful of times, but tonight our server DANIEL!! Definitely took me by surprise he was so tentative, friendly, and super welcoming. He exceeded my expectations for sure. Food is always good here. First time trying the churros but I guess is must when you celebrate a birthday as we did. Happy birthday cousin 🥳

This place is full of good vibes. I’d recommend going on a Friday or closer to the weekend. They play a lot of reggeaton🔥. Our food was ready within 5-10 of being ordered. I highly recommend the birria Torta and the margarita flight. I would definitely go back!

Great food and vibe. The happy hour special are excellent and the service is also very good. I had an issue one time with a table in the past, when they were very busy and Brian one of the main hosts was very professional and resolved the situation in no time. Chips, Fish tacos and Birria are great choices, but, the flaming Tomahawk steak , VIP sushi and Churro waffles take the prize. I definitely recommend Tempo Cantina. Good Times primo!!!

It was delicious! Even though we could only get brunch at the time we got there, everything was so good. It was busy but we got a table fairly quickly. Can't wait to go back to order the sushi off the regular menu. (There is a kids menu. There was only valet parking).

Came here for brunch after Mass. it was super convenient to make a reservation using Open Table. It was not busy yet at noon and we were shown to our table right away. The greeter and waitress were very attentive. The brunch menu is different than the regular menu. We had mistakenly been perusing the regular menu and after making our selections we learned that we were not looking at the correct menu. The items we had chosen were not available on the brunch menu so we started over. My husband ordered the birria tacos. He said they were delicious. I had the Mr Tempo Special that had a variety of items. It’s a good way to taste more than one menu item at a time. We also had the margarita flight. The server brought it with a torch! She lit a sparkler and it was a lot of fun. The mango was our favorite. Come for the margaritas and stay for the great food! Provecho!

We reserved our table online a couple of hours before, the price of valet parking was reasonable. We were immediately seated at our table. All the staff are very friendly and attentive. I liked the design of the menu, the waiting time for our food was very fast, we ordered the tomahawk, they specified the waiting time, when ordering. I love the flavor and the drinks. The music and the atmosphere is excellent. The bathrooms need a little more cleaning attention, but they were still not bad. Solo nos falto conocer a Mr. Tempo, un buen lugar!!

Fabian was a fantastic host, and the entire team was both welcoming and professional. The servers were truly authentic and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The atmosphere is great—the music is spot-on and the drinks are perfectly crafted. While the food on this second visit didn't quite hit the same high notes as the first, it was still enjoyable. The presentation of the grilled octopus was promising, though the preparation could use a little improvement. We've been to the restaurant a few times and love the food. Everything taste fresh and unique. Presentation is always on point. However, the food is only a small part of why this place is so great. Their service is amazing! We stopped by most recently on Mother's Day. The restaurant was full but we were attended to as if we were the only customers in the restaurant. When I asked for extra salsa our server asked for it over her walkie-talkie. When it didn't arrive in a few minutes she went over and got it herself and apologized. The salsa wasn't life of death but (I was fine without it) but the effort was greatly appreciated. I was also impressed by their speed of service. While still ordering our food another server came over with the drinks we had just orders minutes before...while our server was still finishing our order!! The food is great. Everything was delicious. What made the experience memorable was the service.

This was my first time here. We went to celebrating my brother birthday. Everyone’s food looked good and amazing. I got a watermelon margarita it was good. For food I got the ceviche. I am very particular on my ceviche, but this one was good and I would definitely get it again. Now what on my favorite list was the churros. They only serve them with ice cream, but I really wish they sold them by themselves. They were hot and churchy with the perfect amount of sugar and cinnamon and the middle was soft. Omg!!! But over all services was good and the prices were not bad.

Wonderful experience coming here. The sparklers to the tomahawk steaks, wonderful. Drinks were different and the variety of alcohol were plentiful. Make reservations before arriving here. They have 5 different kinds of margarita, you can order the flight if you don't know which one is your favorite yet . All the tacos are delicious. Many items are shareable. Can come for evening out or family too. Loud music with plenty of new experiences. Parking is difficult especially at night, there is valet for $8, but parking nearby neighborhood is easy too. It's near neighborhoods and other bars and restaurants. Feels like a club but with no dance floor. Very fun and interactive. They also sell long stem roses too.

Nice upbeat restaurant. Good vibes , atmosphere and crowds range from families to friends. I reserved a table online on a Saturday night, upon arrival at the reserved time the table wasn't ready. Okay, no biggie. There was two other parties ahead of us and were seated before us. The possibility is they also had reservation. Moving along... I sat down and while my partner was outside still trying to find parking other than doing valet, I was lounging with extremely loud music inside. It took our waiter about 15 minutes before he came by and asked if I wanted a drink. We ordered one small plate and two entrees. My partner had steak tacos and I did the bone marrow. The small plate/appetizer were the mucho loco fries. The steak tacos came out first, the small plate/appetizer and lastly my bone marrow tacos came out. I have a thing about my entree coming out first prior to my appetizer. We ordered drinks and for my martini I didn't really get to taste the alcohol. Our food tasted delicious and came out very quickly, no complaints there. Lastly, after all the food came out and we ate everything... I was craving dessert, the menu show cased 5 only 3 were available and the cheesecake was one of them. We liked the food and portion sizes, the location is okay, the atmosphere was a little loud and the spacing was tight specifically for those who were a little more heavier or in the isle. I'd go back maybe a little earlier so I don't catch the crowd and with hopes the dessert I want is available.

Great restaurant with good vibes and atmosphere. They do have a valet parking which makes it easy to get in when they aren’t busy. Hard to find parking on street. The food has really good flavor. Price point for what you get I would say it is a little higher than I would expect. The drinks were extremely good. I would definitely recommend this for a girls night out, and/or date night.

We stopped in for brunch and we were very pleased. When we got there the buffet didn't have variety. Most of the trays were empty but that's ok, what we had was delicious. I ordered the veggie omelette. Everything had so much flavor. My choice of drink was the agua fresca watermelon flavor. Refreshing!!! We sat outside and the vibe was fun. The music was really good. Our waiter was fun but it took him awhile to get back to us. My suggestion.... When you order your drinks, order your food at the same time. We placed our drink order and still needed time to look over the menu for the entree. He brought the drinks and was gone for quite some time. We weren't in a rush and the ambience was nice so...I Guess not a huge deal. 🤷 We will be back, the food was very good.

We went on a Sunday and they told us wait time will be 1 hour. We parked in their valet parking, checked in and ended up going in before the hour. We were a big group of 12 people and they made our food pretty fast. All of their food was delicious specially the surf and turf tacos and the hot cheetos sushi was one of my favorite. Waitress and waiters were friendly and checking if we needed anything constantly. I will recommend it.

This is not Tempo, I can’t change the location on my review. This is Padre Latin Table and Cocktails in Long Beach. We enjoyed the vibe and food was good, definitely recommend the loaded fries with the chipotle aioli 🤤 Their fish tacos were also bomb, and I was surprised they had a couple raisins in the fish tacos, I actually enjoyed that. We also order a margarita 🍹🍹🍹pitcher for I think $45 Unfortunately it was very watered down for all the ice🧊🧊🧊 it came with and even though we had three margaritas each, we didn’t even feel a buzz. It’s pretty cool that the first floor is a restaurant and on top a pretty cool bar.

Way overpriced, but it's still good food. They even charge for bottled water. The margarita flight came fancy with sprinklers but really it's pretty mediocre. The fries and burgers were pretty good and the sauces were nice. If you're just looking for good food, go somewhere else, but if you're wanting to celebrate something with a bit of flare and don't mind the prices, then come.

I can say it a little pricey but if you go during happy hour and pay happy hour price. You wont hurt your pocket, lol. Everything we ordered tasted pretty good, Especially the octopus with the salad. It was so delicious !If you’ve never tried octopus give it a try. The place is pretty good to be honest. The servers are very nice and attentive with a good sence of humor which is very important. This was actually my first time going with friends that love going there. Im not going to lie , their drinks are actually pretty good. So if you ever have a chance, stop by and try it out.

I really like this place. It’s really a cool vibe but you definitely have to be in the mood for it because normally it’s quite a long wait and it’s super busy almost gives you wait to get into a club type of vibe so if that’s not what you’re gonna move for this is definitely not the place for you, but I’ve also come here a little afternoon when they first open and had a way better more chill experience so it is sort of depends on what time you go, but overall the food is pretty good. The drinks are good. The vibe is good.

Seated quickly. Not very busy on a Friday midday. Good happy hour menu. Cool wall art. Colorful atmosphere. Margaritas had too much syrup. The Mr. Tempo Vip rolls were very tasty and good portion. The chips of the complimentary chips and salsa were a bit too think and hard for my liking. The happy hour birria tacos were really good. I would get these two items again.

I came here during lunch time and was a bit disappointed. The menu was sticky to start and there were quite a few flies in the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and recommended the tempo burger. The meat itself lacked and flavor and the fried egg was more like sunny side up. It still had a lot of goo on it. Definitely not worth the $19 price tag. My wife had the fish ceviche which she really enjoyed.

First time coming to Tempo cantina, can here for lunch valet parking was $8.00 dollars but free in you park on Paramount Blvd. Place was full of paintings and decor and looked really clean . I rate this place a 4 for their food. 4 1/2 for location and 4 stars for service. For a lunch for two I ended up paying $68 plus $8 tip so quite pricey for a lunch for two

The Atmosphere was pretty neat, someone put a lot of money into the decor, I would have preferred a paper menu, having to scroll through so many pages made me not even want to order, I had a quesodilla that was full of flavor. My boyfriend had some tacos and thought they were pretty good

Went for my birthday for breakfast. Not impressed. No coffee service was all over the place. Food was average nothing spectacular. For the price I thought it was going to wow me! No fireworks or fun birthday spark due to issues with the sparklers. No singing no nothing, I brought my own cake and had fun with my party. Parking not good definitely not returning.

It had been about two years since I’ve been here and I was disappointed. I feel the place hasn’t been maintained to be the nice decent restaurant it was. no smile when greeting seemed like I was at the taco stand waiting for a table. The food was good I can’t complain on that the drinks were also good and my waitress Luna was awesome. The restroom had no seat covers and there were no towels. Come on Tempo we can do better and prices are not as cheap I was there to celebrate a bday and I was low key embarrassed and disappointed I could have chosen somewhere better for the same price. Maybe because I went on a weekday.

This place has horrible seating arrangements outdoors, super crammed seating arrangements and the seats are metal. Food and drinks were way over priced and the food comes in small portions, the alcoholic drinks were very very light, couldn’t taste the liquor on mixed drinks. The burritos looked like taquitos. The food was just decent but great. The wait time was horrible, service was horrible when we went. Would not come back for the food. Yes the food looks pretty but it’s Way over priced and it’s mediocre.

This place is over priced and pretenses. They don’t even offer grass of tap water. The food is average and the drink selection is poor. Only one menu per table and it’s paper with limited items. Their QR menu is awful. Not impressed at all, another disappointed place thanks to social media. If your willing to pay their prices then you have many better choices to eat with out furniture thats rusted or sticky from removed stickers

Second time here, and this time, it was a rip-off. They tried to charge me $24 for some pancakes. This is crazy. This place is over price and will rob you. Do go here. I asked for over medium , my eggs was hard. Ask for med Rare my steak was medium well. Then I asked can we sit inside they said No. However there was others sitting inside. I'm so disappointed. BBB will be hearing about this next.

There are better quality restaurants that do not limit your time to eat and drink, the food was ok but couldn’t really enjoy it do to the pressure of the time limit. Drinks were typical. Tables were too small . Valet is rushing you off when you’ve just been asked to clear the table as soon as your time is up. Would not recommend this place if you like to enjoy your dinner especially if it’s for a special event or occasion. Mr. Tempo you need to do a better job especially catering to customers. Was unable to finish my drinks 🫤

My friends brought me to MR. TEMPO in Downey for my birthday on Sunday October12, 2025. I am utterly disappointed in the service and the food presentation. The server was not attentive to my party of 3. We did not receive any utensils or napkins until we asked (keep mind that was after our food arrived). The most upsetting part of this experience was when I ordered their vegetarian tacos which had refried beans that were made with lard.. Before I took a bite into the tacos I made sure to confirm with the manager if indeed they were made with lard. He told they were and that my server should have mentioned that when ordering, she did not! Tell me how is that vegetarian friendly? When I addressed management about the issues with the service. The two gentlemen act like they didn't want to take responsibility and accountability of being mangers. I had to ask them twice who was the manager until one decided to be truthful. This experience was highly upsetting and very disappointing.

If it wasn’t for the food tasting good I’d give this a 1 but more like a 0 overall. Itza, was our waitress and she started telling us she was cutting us off from drinks because Fabian (security) said so. We asked him to explain what happened and he said the waitress fella uncomfortable and bottomless mimosas ended at 3pm on Sunday. We asked Itza why didn’t she explain that in the beginning because it does not say that on the menu. She then proceeded to say you can only have up to 7 mimosas when ordering BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS, which we asked her why she didn’t state that in the beginning. What’s the point of bottomless when there’s a limit. She then kept talking to Fabian and both looking at our table. This made us very uncomfortable and we decided to leave. Then when splitting the check she charged herself a tip on everyone’s tab. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

The atmosphere was nice but the service was not at its best. Couple of negative points for us were servers came up to our table plates of food and drinks we didnt order. Seemed there was only 1 server for too many tables, the drink menu had so many options it almost felt overwhelming to choose anything from it.. when we finally got our drinks my wife's " Tamarindo " michelada tasted like a Agua de Tamarindo with a beer poured into it. My aguachiles had no spice it was just lemon juice. At the end when we requested the bill the guy was just watching the screen to see what kind of tip I was going to choose.. who does that

First and last time coming did not enjoy the service at all. It was a weird vibe all night, it was my sister's birthday and i think we should have just went somewhere else but anyway. End of the night, 6 separate checks everybody paid on a card and tipped at least 15%. This was a easy table, I'm talking bring the order pick up the empty plates, no special orders. One person paid in cash and did not tip and was short.25 and the waitress came back for a quarter and that felt kinda weird. With the to money she got, I would have gone in my pocket and put .25 in but that's just me.

I am sorry but I have to give Mr. Temp Cantina a 1 star on the food and drinks we have never visited this location before we actually visited them because family from Northern California wanted to go there as there had heard about them thru social media, we order drinks and appetizers, we all 4 agreed that the nachos soggy and dried ( very little carnitas) and grilled octopus was hard and tasteless, chips were good as well as the queso fundido, wings ok we thought the lamburgini churro desert was good but overpriced 20.00 we’re not good their margaritas had a strong bitter taste like if the lemon juice was either old or to strong. I am sorry to say this but will not comeback to Mr. Tempo May be it is just us that the 250.00 we spent there was not worth it. Atmosphere was a 3 as the place looks old and not kept up was not impressed at all.

I won’t EVER be returning. -100/10 I brought my mom here for Mother’s Day, to get Brunch, just based off the reviews I was hopeful it was good. (I was WRONG) We both got bottomless mimosas and the Pork Belly Benedict. The eggs weren’t runny.. (like they should be) the hollandaise sauce was just bland. And the meat WAS NOT pork belly. It was PULLED PORK. If you’ve had them you’d know there’s a HUGE difference. You can see the meat in the pics is NOT pork belly. On top of all this I found a long black hair in my hash brown. I understand it happens so I didn’t say anything but unfortunately it really disappointed me all around. I will say the server was attentive and always refilled my mimosa which was nice. But yeah I just can’t back up the food.
