Probably the best subway around here ! Me and my husband always stop here to grab some lunch after work and the staff are always super nice and welcoming!! They genuinely always look happy and our sandwich’s are obviously great and well made !!

Great fresh food! I just had the “Veggie Patty Wrap.” So good! A Spinach wrap with 2 tasty Veggie Patties (warm). Added lots of veggies on top, cheese, and Chipotle Southwest Sauce. I also enjoy their subs, especially the “Oven Roasted Turkey”, the “Steak & Cheese”, and the “Veggie Delight” The owner and staff - Ashish, Nick and Geeta -are very nice and they make great subs, wraps, etc. I love ❤️ all the fresh veggies! I like the Subway app because I can save my favorites and order them with the push of a button, then walk in and pick it up. You also earn points for $2 off.
I visit this subway often as a matter of convenience. The restaurant is always clean as are the bathrooms. The ingredients appear fresh and the staff friendly, meeting my expectations for a typical Subway shop.
Starting going back about 2 months ago and was good but last 2 times I put my orders in on the website to be completed at a certain time always late today it in at 910am for 1140 and not done until 1147. Last time was 20 minutes over the pickup time. Ask for double meat on 1 of the sandwiches and 3 weeks ago was indeed double last 2 weeks of ordering only single. Might be time again to go some where else again and stop going to Subway again maybe one more chance or maybe not. Not happy. Subway?
The owner is very nice, at least I think he's the owner. They have not had roast beef for over a year now. They say it's because of corporate. I think corporate needs to wake up and get with the program.

I got so excited coupons for subway in thr mail. Took them to thr Marengo store only to be told they don't accept them. Guess it will be another 10 year and I won't be going back there
They don’t take any franchise-positive coupons. Literally none. My son wanted a child’s footlong with one meat and one cheese, and we ended up spending $15 for it (he added lettuce, no extras). It’s not the same folks who owned it before. I suggest leaving this place to fail. Edit: A lot of people don’t understand what a “franchise” is. If these people wanted to open up an independent sub shop, they could have. Instead, they purchased the name, and then decided not to honor franchise promises. I’ll go to other Subway locations before I go to this one.
My wife and I enjoy Subway once every month or 2. We've been to this location 3 times now, and they are incredibly frugal with all the veggies, cheese, and meat. After asking for more they put a VERY small amount more, literally asking 3 times for more with each topping just to get the standard amount that other Subways put on. We've been to sooooo many Subways accross Chicagoland and the United States, and this is BY FAR the worst when it comes to food quality/quanity. On a positive note, the place is always clean and the owners are polite.
Things kinda went downhill in the past few months, stopped by to order, they do not fill the sandwiches like they used to, then staff handles food right after they handle money without changing gloves. Sometimes the veggies are wilted when going in or have been browned out. Health hazard on all levels when it comes to food interacting with dirty surfaces.
Food was absolutely horrible, mayo tasted old broccoli soup was warmed in microwave and tasted like it sat overnight. I purchased a cold cut combo it was worst than horrible, whole purchase was unbeatable. I will never eat here again.
What happened? This used to be a great Subway location just a few years ago. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill. The service is painfully slow, and I had to repeat my order several times before it was understood. Watching the staff prepare sandwiches was frustrating, there was no urgency or attention to detail. Even simple tasks like making change were a challenge. It seems like there’s been a change in ownership, and the drop in customer service is obvious. Truly disappointing. I’d recommend avoiding this location.
Overpriced, stale bread, watered down, bathrooms are gross no toilet paper.. soaps watered down too, makes you wonder how clean they really are with your food.. 26$ for one meal.. go to your local bars, restaurants for better food
How do you run out of tomatoes? Final straw. You'll never get another cent from us. We just paid $25 for the two smallest Subway sandwiches I've ever seen and chips. Never again. This place has been awful for a long time. Now they're cancelled.
Me and multiple other people have gotten food poisoning from this Subway. DO NOT GO HERE. Unless you want to be throwing up for 2 days. I went to go get a refund because when I bit into my food I could just tell something was wrong except when I went back to get a refund they told me there was no manager there and they could not do a refund. That is not their fault but there should be an answer there for when situations like this happen. They offered to remake my food but as I stated before, I got food poisoning so I did not want my food to be remade. They let me get two drinks because they could not refund me. Overall just save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else. I got a meatball sub and a cold cut combo.
Like others have mentioned, not taking coupons will be this location's kiss of death. I'm not going to spend nearly $30 for two footlong sandwiches, especially when other locations have fresher bread and ingredients as well. I'll add this to the growing list of Marengo businesses that will not be getting my business anymore (ahem, Sullivan's, cough cough Rosati's).
Poor quality steak on the steak and cheese, staff was mediocre friendly, I just went back here again, against my better judgment, and I'm pretty sure they are using day old bread now 🤦♂️. They definitely put about half the ingredients that other stores do and the foreign owner stands over the workers making sure they don't put too many veggies on... How rude!
Poor service, The "fresh" mozzarella cheese that was in their containers had a hair on it. When i told the employees they looked at me angry and started speaking in their language, they continued making my sandwich with an attitude, guy should wear long sleeve shirt since his arms are so hairy.
Ordered using the app but did not get the special of buy one get one , when I asked why this Subway is not participating in the promo , the guy told me in broken English that only a few stores in Chicago offer that deal . Felt insulted and walked out especially when every store I’ve ordered from before in Harvard, Woostock , Belvidere and Rockford, all offered the promo
