Opiniones de El Gringo El Segundo
Great food. I had the veggie tacos. They are street food style, so you get 2 tortillas in 1 taco. I didn't realize this and ordered 2 tacos and ended up taking one home. The sweet potato fries are excellent.
Great food. Large servings. Those burritos are huge!
Oh my goodness. I can't stop dreaming about the carnitas! Amazing!
Stopped by this gem after a day at the beach. The food here was great. Portions were perfect and the employees were super nice. We tried a variety of plates and everything was tasty. Check them out if your near the area and want fast, friendly service. Looking for a good margarita? This is the place to go to.
The happy hour menu is a hidden gem. If you are in a pinch and looking for a really good margarita or taco this is yourspot. I would avoid the quesadilla in the future as it's not a lot of food relative to other dishes. One enhancement to the menu would be bringing churros on board as a dessert option....or flan 🙂
They were really busy, so our extremely hard working server suggested takeout. Was a good choice. Ordered the carne Asada burrito which was good but also included were chips and salsa.
Love the food love the atmosphere. The staff was amazing and the price was great
Great food nice atmosphere. The salsa was amazing!
Delicious food and a very friendly service mid week, mid day.
Our favorite place by far! We ordered tacos with rice and beans. Yummy!

Known about this place and passed it many a time. But needless to say this visit was long overdue Came in after doing some beach swimming and walked in. Only me and another guy chilling eating at the bar. Greeted by the cool dude behind the counted and got seated right away. Ordered baja tacos with bison and while I waited had some chips and salsa with a Shirley temple I gotta say first off. This salsa. Is legit. This coming from someone who grew up eating homemade Mexican food with my grandparents and my mom. I definitely say this could easily pass as authentic made in Mexico salsa The tacos. The meat, savory, a little crunchy with some slight burnt ends. That's OK. Personally I wouldn't have any other way, it adds texture, and idk what kinda sauce they used on the tacos but it legit gave me some runny sniffles. It caught me WAY off guard lol Idk why I thought they wouldn't be spicy cause it's not like a typical Mexican restaurant I've been to. But it definitely is worth a try. Highly recommend THE ONLY thing I'd give a heads up about is the price and value for 4 tacos and the chips + drink was 25$ whether you think that's good or bad is up to you. But for the quality of what I got. It's not that bad imo
Always a good place to go to enjoy a meal and have a nice time
A bitt different from the other locations but still very good at a good price. Large dishes and the soup is amazing. Friendly service, cold beer, spicy salsa... what more could you ask for. Pro tip: great place to get some work done on lunch mid week. Grab a booth, a tall ice tea, and make stuff happen!
I love this place.. workers make you feel so welcome. The drinks and food is delicious. The place is clean, parking available. Dishes are great portions and totally worth the cost.Try it, you won’t regret it.
Have eaten here many times, always great service and solid menu choices. Personal favourites include the plate meals and the burrito bowls.

My favoriteeeee Mexican food in LA. Tons of great vegetarian options.

Probably 4.5 stars but it wasn't perfect. The carnitas were crispy, but not greasy. They were great. The round down to 4 instead of up to 5 was because my water is empty (no refills), and the rice and beans were just "ok".

For a Saturday night at 5pm it was kinda slow. I'm not complaining becuz we got our food on time and we're taken care of. But I was surprised it was busier. We wanted to just snack so we got guacamole and Mac n cheese. The guacamole wasn't the greatest so we mixed it with the salsa lolz. But the cheese in the Mac n cheese was AMAZING. I would come here again fosho
Great staff. Very friendly. I liked the burrito
Good food and service, but prices have increased 30-40% over the past few years, causing us to change our habit from attending weekly to approximately attended every 2 months. Update: prices continue to rise, $21+ for a bowl. Arrived at prime dinner time and restaurant was nearly empty, concerning for a place I enjoyed going to almost weekly...
The Paloma was missing a bit of sweetness that would give it more dimension. The carnitas street tacos were good. The chicken taco was well cooked and very tender, but lacked any sauce or flavor. When paired with just pico de Gallo, it was rather plain.
I thought I was on a hidden camera show when I was here. My wife and I asked for a margarita with the chili on the rim instead of salt because we like it spicy. Seems simple enough right? They came out with plastic water glasses with chili flakes (the ones you sprinkle on pizza) completely covered in it. Lol we asked a gentleman why they didn’t put Tajine on it? And they pointed at the name “El Gringo” and said look it means the white so what do you expect.. I was too hungry to put up an argument so we just reordered without the pizza chili flakes on the rim. I then ordered the carne asada plate and it came out no later than 3 mins after I had ordered..it legitimately looked like dog food and was heated up in a microwave. Not sure how this place is in business. No effort or thought put into anything here. Stay far away.

Really terrible staff. They delivered my order to someone else so while everyone ate dinner I had no food to eat. They finally brought it out 30 minutes late and still charged me in full!!! Do not waste your money here.
