I’m not a fan of loud places or crowded restaurants, so Panera has become my quiet comfort. I usually come during off-hours, order a hot tea and a bagel, and just sit by the wall with my notebook. No blaring music, no one hurrying me. It’s one of the few public spots where I feel like I can breathe and just be.
In the land of Panera, the Bread Bowl reigns supreme. I, a humble wanderer, entered their warm stronghold in search of sustenance and was met with the elixir known as Cheddar. The staff, like potion masters, served with haste and cheer. I departed full, and slightly enchanted. I shall return before the next full moon.
Best Panera I have been to in a long time. Employees seem to care about the cleanliness and service. I needed something extra and the girl making the food didn't notice me and the girl walking by notified her that I was standing there. We were just browsing at the sewers and the asked if we needed help. A great clean Panera.
I’ve been trying to eat healthier this year, and Panera’s been my secret weapon. It’s one of the only places where I don’t have to customize everything to death just to stay on track. I can pick a salad, add a protein, get a broth bowl, or even one of their lower-calorie sandwiches. And the app helps track everything. Eating clean without it feeling like punishment — that’s rare in fast food.
So I went in yesterday to get my food and on the screen. It said it was ready, but it wasn't. I had to wait 20 minutes. Finally, someone asked, are you here to pick up? And I said, yes, and they had the bag right there for about 5 minutes. Service sucks. The only one who asked me if I needed help was the nice young lady up at the front counter.
Most Panera bread locations have tasty treats for people who don’t want to totally fill up. The food is generally good. The service is usually good as well. I like the broccoli and cheddar soup and the bread bowl.

The cashier here was so sweet, Angelia made sure that we got our order correct. & always has a smile on her face

Large restaurant, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Clean with a friendly staff, and our food came fairly quickly. Nice that Panera has healthier choices, but some still fit into the comfort food category. And they have bread, cookies, rolls and bagels for purchase! Large parking lot, easy in and out. Near the movie theatre.

I went in yesterday June 30. Everything was well. The cashier was very helpful. When my mother and I went to get our drinks the containers were dirty. They went bad and tasted like rotten fruit. I told one of the workers about it and I asked if she could taste it too. Immediately she started replacing them. Other than that service was great.
Very little chicken salad on my Napa almond chicken salad sandwich. It wasn’t even the “normal” chicken salad. It was larger pieces of sliced chicken. Did not have a bakery item even though on the app it showed available. They subbed in an item that was $2 less. Ordered tomato soup but didn’t receive croutons or cheese. Service was very slow. Overall there is a weird vibe in there.
I only come for a healthyish meal. Most times they're out of random things I want. Typically there's a slow line when I come so I stick to self serve ordering. Food is usually alright. There's just some kind of emotional disconnect at this location that is kind of bleh. It feels like you would at a cafeteria or library rather than a welcoming environment.

Ok I normally like panera, but today wasnt it. I definitely dont recommend the noodle chicken soup, it tasted like it would be for a dog, Secondly i ordered a group size and i was suprised how small the group size was. It says serving size 4 but for who? Kids? Maybe but adults no. Also looking from the register to the back of the kitchen, it looked like a hot mess.

This location needs to hire new people is what I think. I love Panera, but have never had service like this anywhere else. My favorite soup tasted watered down, absolutely no flavor and the bowl was clearly dirty. Sandwich had one piece of chicken on it. And I paid $3 for a cup of unripe fruit with like 4 pieces in it that were even edible. Panera is not cheap, so scamming people on their food is just wrong. Mind you there was only 1 other person here, not busy whatsoever and most of them were standing around.
If you’re coming for “the take” spicy chicken sandwich, be prepared to be sorely disappointed. I know food is never going to be how they advertise it, but this really takes the cake. The sandwich barely had crumbs of the “fried pickles”, see the picture of what you actually get. Salad was sloppy and tomato had stem on it. Grapes in my fruit cup had dirt on them. Girl in the back calling people was rude when I showed her the sandwich and she grabbed a small handful more of the crushed fried pickles and threw them in the sandwich like she was irritated. Management should be made aware of the way food is being prepared there. Drive a bit farther and go to the Panera in Vacaville instead

I am bit curious why my name was dropped 6 times for orders that literally ordered 5 min after me. Do we follow an order or we just say ahhh will do whoever we want first.
Note this is regarding an order from the Fairfield, CA location on 12/13/2025. I ordered 2 bagels and 2 breakfast sandwiches on the app. The app said my order was ready. I went in to the store, and the monitor in store also said my order was ready. At the pickup counter, they said they were still cooking an item and needed 5 more minutes. About 8-10 mins later they called my name. I went to the counter expecting my food, and they said they did not have Asiago bagels (three of my 4 items), and asked if I wanted a different bagel. I said no. They went and checked with the manager about a refund, came back and told me to go to the front for a refund. I said okay, can you give me the sandwiches you cooked? He said oh we didn’t cook it because we don’t have the Asiago bagels. I said do you have the steak sandwich ready that is on ciabatta? He said no they didn’t cook anything because they didn’t have the Asiago bagels. [What have I been waiting 10 mins for???] I went to the front and they wanted my card. I said I paid through the app (I didn’t bring in my purse). She said to tap the payment device. I did and she processed the refund for $22.10, however I paid $23.50. She asked me to show her the order. I could not find in the app where it shows the order detail. She went back to her manager and returned and said they refunded what the items cost. I tried finding the order detail but couldn’t. I had already showed her the screen with the credit card charge list, and it seemed clear this was going to be arduous, so I thought I could submit a problem in the app. Later I looked at the pieces of receipt paper this woman behind the register gave me. Right on the paper receipts they gave me the order detail listed 23.50 on it!! This is ridiculous! One of the worst retail experiences I have had. I then contacted customer service and instead of refunding me the money owed to me they posted a $5 credit to my Panera account. Not acceptable. This Fairfield store should not get that money AND I won’t be coming back at least until their staff turns over and the ratings show a better experience. I am owed a refund of $1.40 and I would like that tangible money back. Not a discount. What a racket!! They got a tip for absolutely nothing and I’m out money. Albeit not much, but it’s the point. Terrible!!
This location is horrible and speaking with three locals also waiting, going downhill. I didn't see the self-order kiosk and waited with others five minutes before the cashier returned. However, it was the same young lady gathering cookies for an order at pickup. She never acknowledged the growing line with and assurance she'd be right there. My order was forgotten and when she asked if I needed anything I replied, my toasted bagel. She was very apologetic and prepared my order, which still took too long. She helped the others in line and the last two were leaving then went to use kiosk, which I then saw. I waited over 10 minutes total. Too long for a toasted bagel when I was first in line! The bagel was barely toasted and the cinnamon crunch stuck to plate, that has NEVER happened when properly toasted.
I been a Customer for the past six years, the new Manager it’s horrible. You cannot even speak loud because if they complain they kick you out. They almost called the Police on me when I was just having a conversation on The Phone Mind in My Own Business.the rest off the employees are very nice I hope I don’t get kick out for giving my opinion…..
