Best Chinese food in Lake Mary/Sanford area. The flavor were on spot.

Great food, going regularly. This is an update as of May 19, 2023 food is outstanding and nice and hot…. Sam the owner is professional and very nice guy!!!! Moved away to NC and haven’t eaten here since I got back…. Glad I did… will be back!!

Super friendly staff very willing to answer questions about different dishes. Brought food out to our cars so we didn't have to wait inside. Food very good and large portions

I’ve ordered take out here once before, under the old management and the food was not good, so I’ve ordered at Chengs across the street for some time but the past few times the food was just mediocre and food was not worth the price, so this time I decided to order ChopStix again. Order was placed around 3PM.. Decided to try the Sesame Seed Chix everyone has recommended and I will say the reviews did not miss. I’m located about 15 minutes from here and upon coming home the order was still fresh, steamy and delicious. Sesame Chix was made of real white meat chunks, no slimy fat pieces whatsoever, and they made it well done just as I requested. The fried egg rice that came with the order was flavorful especially after dripping some of the honey from the sesame chicken on it. 🤤 Was impressed that a side of plain lo mein was only $5 and it was a pretty decent size. Flavor was all there, the best noodles I’ve had, nice and tender not all watered down like some other places in the area. Only let down was they forgot my egg roll, but I called in; Sam immediately apologized and comped me a few on my next visit, which I appreciate of course. What I like is that he asked if everything else was fine with my order- I was like absolutely. The best Chinese food I’ve had in a while! Would recommend and will come back. 5 ⭐️

For a first time ever trying out dumplings I am very satisfied and the sauce that came with it was a ten outta ten food was hot and fresh and was amazing.

Everything was delicious. We were super impressed, from the quality of the food, to how kind everyone on the staff was. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be back. I had the tofu by the way, and everything was perfectly cooked.

Always have great food from here, food comes out quick and hot. Recommended highly from Joe former owner of Giovanni’s. All the staff work hard and are very friendly highly recommend.

The food was very good!! The cook told me it was made with love & he was correct. I ordered chicken fried rice(fr), beef (fr), short ribs, fried chicken, egg rolls, beef lo mein, soups, General T chicken(All tasty)

OH MY (the) DUCK!! Get the whole duck… or two because it’s flavorful, juicy, and has crunchy skin. All the other food was also delicious (egg rolls, fried rice, krab rangoon, tea).

I come here frequently for lunch because my favorite is the Orange Beef dinner combo with the rice, soup, and eggroll. My coworker loves the chicken and veggies shes a pain with her order but the owner at the counter is so great, sweet, and very very patient and he will fix anything if it doesn't come out right etc. He goes the extra mile for his customers I feel like and that deserves to be recognized! I'm very thankful I found a place where the food is good and the staff is even better! Thank you for your service sir! I look forward to seeing you this week! haha

I am addicted to Chinese food. I literally order it at least once a week and I would more if I could afford it. This is the best Chinese place. I’ve tried out of probably 40 of them over the last 20 years. The service and was so kind and excellent. The food is amazing. I was shocked at how good it is how fresh it is. The meat is tender. The flavor is good. The rice is awesome. The eggrolls are some of the best I’ve had. I had potstickers eggrolls, beef, Szechuan, chicken and beef with broccoli, wonton soup and pork lo mein. Five stars all the way! I’m so glad I found a new excellent place nearby.

I have to say, this is the best Chinese food I've indulged in since my time in New York! My absolute favorite dish has to be the five-flavored chicken—it's simply irresistible! I can't get enough of its incredible flavors. Every bite is a delightful experience!

I hate being up sold without being told. The cashier made it sound like the soup was included, but it wasn't and jacked the price up. Make sure to ask for napkins and sauces too. Wasn't provided.

This place was super clean. The service was excellent and the counter person was smiling and very nice. The older gentleman chefs were fast and the food was super fresh. In less than 10 minutes I was on my way. We definitely enjoyed the taste and how hot the food was. The take out boxes were a study plastic which definitely maintained the heat. We will return for sure. Thanks chop stix for a superb dining experience.

Really wanted wonton soup, probably the worst I have ever had. I think I have had frozen from Winn Dixie better. Fried rice ok, a little more al dente vs other places. General Chicken pretty good. I would probably order that again.

The food was very good but as expensive as a good buffet. Also, the presentation could have been better. The food was served in plastic disposable plates and the water came in bottles. But the host was very friendly and the food was very good.

I tried this location because I had a coupon for bang bang shrimp, which was really good. Everything else, however, was mediocre at best. Roast pork fried rice was dry. Broccoli with garlic sauce did not have very good flavor. Hot and sour soup had very few veg in it and bland flavor. The crispy noodles were good. Overall, Cheng's is much better.

We have been looking for a good little hole in the wall place to get good Chinese food. This is not it. We order chicken lo mein had no flavor at all. Also order chicken with egg plant and garlic sauce. The eggplant was overcooked and it made the whole meal mushy. And maybe 1 to 2 pieces of chicken throughout the entire meal we did not eat it.

Order the seafood soup, flavor was not bad but for the price, we pretty got an egg drop soup with 3 pieces of shrimp and maybe 2 scallops. Sweet and sour pork was ok, lack in flavor and not crispy it was soggy by the time we got it. Probably not order here again.

Got home, called, had to drive back - instead of offer to delivering it 12 minutes away - took back the wrong food and refunded that amount but then CHARGED me the difference, and THEN started making the correct order so I had to wait another 15 minutes. For the prices they charge, they definitely need better customer service.

Also- most of their entrees with meat such as Mongolian chicken or five flavor chicken don’t have any meat pictures for example have had all the meat eaten out of it the rest showing is all just vegetables. Five flavor chicken was very bland not very flavorful either.

The food was not good.... the Egg rolls were oily and way over cooked and or old and reheated, the sweet & sour chicken was oily and undercooked and also possibly reheated, the chicken fried rice had way to many bean sprouts and the peas were overcooked to the point that they were hard and when bitten tasted like powder. Overall Good customer service but thats only half the battle.

Disgusting!!! I have been coming here for over 15 years and today I placed my last order I'll ever place. I called in order and the girl said "just so you know we're under new ownership so the prices are much higher " I'm like ok but is the food the same? She said " the rice is lighter but that's all" husband drives the 25 mins to pick up then drove home in storm only to see not only has the food changed but now they didn't give the sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken and the rice was horrible! I called and asked if the sauce was no longer included she rudely said yeah no I must have forgotten to put in bag and I said well now what ? I'm not driving another 40 mins round trip to get the sauce for the chicken clearly named sweet and sour now it's just nuggets she said ok and I said if this is how the food is now I don't think I'll be ordering anymore she rudely hung up! The containers made food sweat not traditional Chinese food box. $32.00 in the trash

Horrible experience. In addition to our order being wrong and missing items, my egg foo yung was so hot it burnt partially through the styrofoam container making my food taste like plastic. In addition any fried rice was over fried and very oily and the white was soggy.

I figured the cash run wasn’t a complete waste though because we could use some to tip the driver, but they were so fast, they beat my boyfriend back to our house. When the driver arrived, she gave me a tipout receipt I could use to tip instead, so the cash run was pointless after all. As for the food, the egg drop soup was very bland, the general tso’s chicken was extremely underwhelming and not spicy whatsoever, and I didn’t even receive the chicken chow mein I ordered (instead there was some sort of flavorless chicken and vegetables dish in a mushroom sauce). I was charged a credit card fee of $2.15 without any warning, a higher delivery fee ($5 instead of $3 for being out of their unstated delivery range), and a $1 “service fee” for who even knows what. The positive parts were that the delivery speed was extremely fast (not even 30 minutes of waiting on a Wednesday at dinner time) and both employees I spoke to were very friendly. Everything else was so disappointing that I would have rather gone to Panda Express. Not worth the trouble or money.

The USPS delivered a flyer from this restaurant announcing New Management, a web site, and a coupon for a purchase over $25. When I called to place my order, the woman taking my order was rude, insulting, and would not pay attention to what I said. A very unpleasant phone exchange to say the least. The web site address on the flyer has been terminated and the free order of Bang Bang Shrimp for purchases over $25 was not available. When I asked why, I was told I must be looking at an old flyer. When I pointed out that I had just received the flyer same day, she asked me if I wanted anything else. Basically, glossed over what I had said. The food was delivered fast but was tasteless. This restaurants tag line on the just delivered flyer, "You Tried The Rest! Now Try The Best!" is an exaggeration by any measure. I do not recommend this restaurant!!!
