Adding my 5 star review to the pile. Great street tacos, crispy tacos, salsa bar!
Great salsa bar! Lots of tasty salsas! The fish taco, shrimp taco and tripas tacos are stellar! Grilled chicken quesadilla is great! Friendly fast attentive staff!
This is our families favorite Taqueria in Folsom! Super fresh ingredients and generous portions. The staff are always so friendly! I highly recommend the Pastor street tacos or super nachos, partner loves the chicken burrito or enchiladas with red sauce, and kids (unsurprisingly lol) are all about the kids cheese quesadilla. A+++
We ordered shredded chicken enchiladas and carne asada super burrito. The chips, beans, and rice were excellent. Everything was delicious. We will definitely return while passing through Folsom. Thank you!
I wasn’t expecting much since it’s in this little non-descript shopping center and doesn’t look like much from the outside. But man, the food was incredible! I didn’t snap a picture because it looked so inviting and then I just tore through it all. Awesome chips and salsa bar. Great service and very generous portions. Too bad I live about an hour away, but when I’m back in Folsom I’ll definitely return!
Staff went out of their way to make us welcomed. Great service and it is obvious they take pride in giving the food its distinctive taste. There were five of us. Sopes, enchiladas, fajitas de camarón and carne asada were great. And don’t forget to try the watermelon margaritas
This place is great. I love their street tacos. They are also priced right. You also get complimentary chips and salsa when you dine in or do take out. They have a wide variety of selection of salsas to accompany your tacos or any other dish you order. I keep coming back for their grilled chicken taco and their Al pastor. They are amazing.
My wife and I ordered couple items. I ordered Steak A La Mexicana and it was very delicious and fresh crispy vegetables. My wife got the asada burrito and was very tasty as well. Great service, place was very clean. Ambient was relax. I recommend it.
Snagged a few tacos...they were all great! The salsa bar is awesome. The chips were thin, crispy, and kinda buttery. It was a full house and they still got my order out quickly! It was very clean and the staff was excellent! Thanks guys! It was great!
The quesabirria tacos were SO good. So good! We also ordered two burritos (one regular carne asada, one super shredded chicken) - they were fantastic. Slight mix up with the chicken burrito labeled as beef. Excellent food and service. We will definitely be back.
I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and it was exactly what I wanted. It was a good portion size and the ingredients were fresh and they dont skimp on meat or ingredients leaving you with a potato burrito. It was a perfect ingredient ratio. I also like that they use actual potatoes and not fries and then call it potato. The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. I dont eat out often but would live to come back here to try other dishes.
I go there specifically for their freshly squeezed orange juice. There food is also really good. You can go self serve on chips and variety of salsas.
Found a great local spot! They offer a variety of sauces and sides, and you can enjoy unlimited chips. The food tasted fresh and clean, and I didn’t feel heavy or tired afterward. Prices are a bit higher than regular Mexican restaurants, but the quality, flavor, and atmosphere definitely make it worth it. A full five-star experience! Full Review: I discovered a great local Mexican restaurant. They offer a wide variety of sauces and sides, and you can enjoy unlimited chips along with your meal. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the overall flavor felt clean and healthy. Even after eating, I didn’t feel heavy or tired, which made me think they don't rely heavily on artificial seasonings to boost flavor — a nice change from many other places. The price is a bit higher compared to typical Mexican restaurants, but considering the lively atmosphere, the wide selection of menu items, the fresh ingredients, and the great taste, it absolutely deserves a five-star rating.
There are so many options here and the food is extremely tasty. I highly recommend the nachos with steak! Great customer service too.
First time here I orderd the chili Verde which was so delicious with flavor and big chunks of pork, I highly recommend Salsas great place and friendly plus the kind server came back to check if I needed anything else and asked if I needed more tortillas wow so cool thank you 😀
Beyond expectations! This restaurant is one of the best we have ever visited. The cleanliness is neat, the food delicious and the service excellent! I specially want to cheer Anita M our server for her great and sweet customer service. Keep doing that great job Anita!
I enjoyed this lunch spot! Varied salsa bar with the yummiest pickles onions and more. Their tacos are also delicious and well priced. Fish taco was not perfect too. Their plates are also nice, but not as worth as the burritos or tacos in my opinion. Meat is not dry. The guac is subpar and tastes watery. Interior is spacious and modern. Casual vibe.
Everyone was very nice and professional. The food was tasty. The chips were hot and crispy and they had an amazing assortment of salsas. They also had a great assortment of Mexican bottled sodas, fountain drinks, wines, alcohol and beers. They have several tv’s and they have music playing. Overall happy to have found this place.
OK let's see... My favorite things were the chips and salsa, (loved the smokey salsa) the pickled veggies, the street tacos, (especially the al pastor) and the quesabirria tacos. So pretty much everything I tried was my favorite! Great job guys. ❤️🔥🌶️🌮🙏🏻🙌🏼 PS. I ate like a swine but no regrets!
Excellent authentic Mexican food! The carne asada and carnitas were amazing, and portioned perfectly. We requested the tortillas to be toasted slightly, and the salsa was over the top. Service was fast and the staff greeted us warmly. A must have before or after a Folsom football game.
I tried this place for lunch today and am chowing my leftover burrito as I write this. I can't get over how darn good this place is, which is why I knew I needed to write this review giving props where due. If I could give this place 1,000 stars, I would. Fresh, generous portions and absolutely delicious. Atmosphere is counter service with self serve drinks and warm chips, including a variety of salsas. Staff were friendly and attentive.
This place was the bomb! When you walk in there is a great atmosphere. The staff was kind and helpful. And the food was amazing. They have a shrimp cocktail that is full of flavor and HUGE! Their salsa is very flavorful but be careful because it is spicy. I hope you enjoy.

Shrimp fajitas are the Best here. Not swimming in grease. Tasty plump shrimp..generous portions. My favorite food Mexican cuisine in Folsom. Super friendly people. They make their own corn tortillas.! Other tasty dishes as well. Chile Verde...chimichuanga... all good.
Food is good and plentiful with lots of options, people are really friendly, free chips are always a plus!
Excellent food, great service, and a salsa bar. Best taqueria in Folsom and my go to. Great atmosphere inside too very spacious and comfortable as you chow down. They also have squirt bottled or canned which is a nice plus.

Salsas has hands down the best tacos in Folsom, whenever I’m in the area and I’m craving Mexican food this is the place I go to every time
Very fresh and presented nicely. Salsa is not too hot. Lots of flavor, I ordered the chicken fajitas very flavorful a lot for your money. Also had carne asada on fries with cheese. Tasty. Will eat here again. Support the small business owners ✔️🇺🇲
The atmosphere is nice, and the employees are welcoming and friendly. Menu is big and easy to read. There are plenty of tables and on a Sunday afternoon, several tables were taken. The food was good, I had three tacos, shredded chicken, pastor, and carnitas. The pastor had great flavor but was tough to chew, it was not fatty meat, it was either dried out or fried a bit too much. The carnitas was good as well but a little dried out. The flavor profile was great on both. The chicken taco was my favorite, the meat was moist and lightly seasoned. You could taste the flavor coming through but still taste the chicken. I would come here again, but for the money there are better options. The salsa bar was big with more options than most taquerias. I had a medium and a spicy salsa. The flavors were very good, you could taste the rehydrated peppers in the spicy salsa with a bit of smoke. Again, not disappointed at all, better than a lot of taquerias, but not my personal favorite.
PROS: interior is modern and clean Staff is very friendly and attentive Food is fire even if my picture isn’t that good. CONS: prices online aren’t accurate. Everything is like $2 more. Thanks Joe. Be aware. Horchata is gritty and sandy. It reminds me of the protein shakes they gave me when I was hospitalized. I lost my keys there. Not their fault. I’m not sure if I lost them or if it’s some sort of memory hole caused by my treatments I’ve received. Either way, if you find a black key to a Porsche; it is mine.
I had the crispy tacos they were really good and tasty.

Got menudo and it looked and tasted old, pretty bland. Also got buche tacos those were pretty good the pineapple water was pretty as well . The tamales weren't too great either. It was a little over priced but the service was good and it was nice place
The food here is fine, not bad and not great. It’s super clean and well organized but the food itself isn’t much different than most other taquerias around. The veggie breakfast burrito had a weird flavor that I couldn’t place, and it had lettuce in it which was so strange. Also, they had Coca Cola cups at the register so I got one thinking it was for Coke - nope, the fountain was Pepsi. IYKYK. I was expecting so much more based on the other reviews.
I ordered the Chimichanga with carnitas, and it was completely soaked in cooking oil. I was wringing this thing out like a wet towel, and it was just pouring out. The service is great and the salsa bar is delicious as always, but I’d recommend staying away from the chimichanga, it’s just ridiculously oily.
SALSA'S TAQUERIA Restaurant When Chef Dines: It's a simple bar/eatery place where you order at a counter, but the food is served to your table. The service is amicable and courteous, and you can feel they want you there, and they care about your experience. The food, unfortunately, is uneven. We had tried many dishes. Last time we had four, and there's only one worth another try. 1. Flauta - a la carte $2.75 One with beef or pork. Both were really dry. 2. Tacos $5.97 Three tacos: Pastor + Carnitas + Carne Deshebrada All three were tender but could use some more seasoning. The good thing is they all came hot. Which is a big plus, since often tacos get less than lukewarm, the moment they end up on a table. 3. Kids Taco $5.75 One Taco al Pastor with beans and rice. Taco was warm, not seasoned enough, beans and rice flavorless. 4. Chile Colorado Plate $11.95 The best dish on the table. The meat was juicy and tender, nicely seasoned. In short: (1-5) * Taste: 2 (Chile Colorado 4) * Presentation of the dish: 1/2 * Standard of the restaurant: 2 * Waiting time: good * Dishes worth the money: Almost * Portion size: Medium * Service: Very Courteous * Cleanliness: Good * Type of restaurant: Everyday eatery/bar Overall: Some items are worth another try

Unfortunately I can't recommend this business. Just picked up takeout and my husband's carne asada burrito was so overwhelmingly salty. He got a wet burrito with red sauce and he couldn't even eat the tortilla with the sauce he tried to eat just the inside and the meat itself was super salty. I even tried it to see and it was bad.

DO NOT EAT HERE !! You will pay an arm and a leg for your food . Even if they messed up on your order they will not help you or fix the problem. I spent a lot of money here and they would not fix not one problem..it’s a young man on the front and he will go get the lady in the back and she is mean and will tell you she can not help you DO NOT EAT HERE FOOD IS NASTY
Ordered a wet burrito. The green sauce was like a thick gravy. Never have I have a gravy covered burrito 🤢. The internal guts of the burrito didn’t have any flavor at all. Honestly it grossed me out!! The lady cleaning up ask if everything was ok, I told her the burrito was upsetting my stomach and it didn’t taste good. She continued to bring a thick red sauce as if I was gonna put it on the existing burrito!! Didn’t offer a refund or apology. This place sucks!!
Came here day after Christmas from the outlets with my family. My daughter and son ordered the Quesabarria tacos and asada fries And my husband and I ordered fajitas. I'll start with the asada fries. The fries tasted like they were at the bottom of the freezer and then to make it worse they were only lightly fried 🤔so basically they were getting mushy by the second after they put all the nacho ingredients on top . Just wasnt the business. Next up the Qusabarria Tacos we're pretty tasty I will say but my stomach didn't like them at all so much grease 🙃 Then the fajitas ... the meat was gross it was cheap skirt steak and the pollo was dried out like nothing tasted fresh except the shrimp 🍤 but by the time I took a bite of the shrimp I was already nauseous from all the oils in everything. Chips, tacos and even veggies on the fajita plate were covered in oil. I tried this place because of the reviews but I am starting to see that they are pretty subjective to the level of clientele🤷🏽♀️ I'm really sorry to give this review to a local business because they were polite and the restaurant was clean. I just want to give a different Perspective just in case for others who eat clean, I.e oils etc... This is definitely not the place for you. Signed gastrointestinally upset 😭

Extremely disappointed with my experience today. The service was shockingly bad from the moment I walked in. The cashier was very rude, impatient, and made the entire ordering process uncomfortable. Customer service was completely lacking. To make things worse, the food quality has gone downhill. It tasted terrible and nothing like the last time I visited. The portion, taste, and overall freshness were very disappointing. The tacos were especially frustrating. There were only a few small pieces of chicken inside, which made them feel empty and not worth the price at all. It felt like the portion sizes have been reduced significantly compared to before. The salsa bar was also very limited with barely any options available. Items were either missing or not refilled, which made the experience even more disappointing. I definitely would not recommend this place anymore. Sadly, this will be my last visit.
