Opiniones de Taj Grill Folsom
The food and service were great. We were the only ones there so we had attention when we needed it. I don't eat Indian often so it's hard for me to judge the pricing and portions, but it seems like a few other reviewers noted that portions were smaller than normal. The garlic naan was great too. We would go again!
We had an outstanding experience at this Indian restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the staff were extremely courteous, warm, and friendly, making us feel right at home. The food was simply excellent — every dish was full of authentic flavor and perfectly cooked. We tried the Coconut Chicken and Mango Chicken, which were absolutely delicious and unique in taste. The Kashmir Naan was soft, fresh, and paired beautifully with the curries. To top it off, we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary desserts, which was a wonderful gesture and a sweet way to end the meal. Everything about this dining experience was first-class — from the food to the service. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality Indian cuisine with exceptional hospitality.
Hands down, the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. Great portion sizes, and flavorful as heck. Had some Tikka Masala that was fantastic and a pizza naan stuffed with cheese. Excellent service and free dessert! Amazing experience. You Should Eat Here!!!!
This is an awesome little place! I had the chicken biryani with my girlfriend and a friend yesterday, I am still eating it today for breakfast! Great food, great portions, the server is funny, and the mango ice cream was absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend checking this place out!
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. I decided to stop in today and just grab some samosas, and they were the best I’ve ever had. The seasonings and texture were both perfect. I’m coming back for chicken tikka masala soon and already looking forward to it.
This was my first time here with my fiance and grandpa, we tried so many different dishes and all of them were filled with so much flavor. The gentleman who took care of us was so sweet and checked on us so many times. Can’t wait to come back and tell friends and family about this place. No complaints from us and we enjoyed the environment!
Had lunch at Taj Grill. Food was delicious and excellent service. The place is very clean and they also gave me a free dessert with my lunch. Being Indian, I’ve been to many Indian restaurants and I do highly recommend this place. They have good vegetarian and non-vegetarian dish choices. The Tandoori dishes and naan are both very delicious. I will be going there on a regular basis
Samosas were super. Their curry chicken is a specialty so we had to try it and we’re not disappointed. Spice level comes by default and it is absolutely perfect. Can’t say enough about the service. Waiter was hilarious, love the family owned atmosphere. I’ve had Indian food at many, many places including near India, very happy that this place is so close. 10/10 would recommend!
Gary was great ! Very personable and welcoming, and made the experience that be much better ! The food was AMAZING, I have zero complaints. Everything was so fresh and flavorful! I had the lamb tikka masala, garlic naan, peas pulao, dal soup, and veg samosa. The Taj Mahal beer was smooth and perfect. Clean environment, clean restrooms. Beautiful decor. It’s definitely a must try, or you are missing out !!
We came for a weeknight dinner. The place was well lit and clean, service was great. We were recomended the Punjabi Lemon Chicken and Butter Chicken they were both awesome al9ng with the appetizers. This was our second time here, and we were super pleased with the visit but had to try something else (last time we had the Curry lamb and the Tikka Masala) and home run, fantastic. We are now calling this our "go to" dinner place. Just a nice experience.
One of the nicest physical menus I've handled. Told us dessert is free and mandatory. We took the recommendation for mango icecream they made. No charge for rice evened out slightly smaller than I'm used to portion sizes of curry and polluck panner. I left my hat and they kept it for me, joked about $15 fee. Very friendly and funny. I've gone to this location when it was a jimboys most my life, love the juxtaposition of Mexica horse riders on booth glass seperstors in the otherwise indian decor. Very similar to food I ate while visiting himalyas of Nepal.
Really good food! We got butter chicken, goat curry and garlic naan. All were very delicious. Husband was really happy to see lot of meat in curries.
What you need to know is that the food is amazing. So good that you can only understand by trying it. Despite the wait, I'd say both the kind service and delicious food made every minute worth it. The place is also incredibly clean and well-organized.
Tried this place after being in the area and definitely didn't disappoint. Lamb Vindaloo was super delicious and can't go wrong with a mango lassi. Also able to try their butter chicken and it was fantastic. You won't regret eating here, especially in this economy it's tough to justify food but I could never get close to replicating the flavors I had. The service was phenomenal!!
We have been to TAJ GRILL several times. The food is the BEST Indian food we have eaten anywhere and we eat this cuisine often in many parts of the world. We love their Chicken Tikka Kabob, Butter Chicken, Naan and everything else we have ordered. They let you take your time, enjoy your meal without rushing and the service is exceptional. We have met the owner who really cares about his customers. Please try this restaurant and keep it in our community. The complimentary dessert is a classy finish to people who really care about the total experience.
I just want to say AMAZING food and service. Gary was the gentleman that served me and my sons today. He was very friendly and always making sure that we are satisfied and didn’t need anything. Now for the food beautiful presentation, we had the Goat Vindaloo, Lamb tiki masala, and taj special lamb curry. Now i have tried lamb a few times in my life but don’t enjoy actually hate the game taste. Well the first bite i had from the Lamb Tiki Masala has changed my mind. The tenderness just melted in my mouth and the flavor sweet and spicy blended well in a savory way. The lamb curry had a very bold flavor and also the lamb just melted in my mouth. Now i had the goat never eaten before i was worried lol but again the meat slid right of the bone with a moist delicious flavor. To top it off they brought us Gulab Jamun beautifully sweet with a little crunch from the coconut shavings. I will be returning.
We lucked out finding this gem of a restaurant for lunch. The service was great and the food was even better. Lamb tikka masala, tajj chicken and eggplant dish were all outstanding. Let’s hope this place has a long run in a strip mall that has trouble keeping tenants. This place is worth the effort to get there. A real gem!
We had a very pleasant experience! The food was excellent, full of herbs and spices, and the server was very friendly and attentive. If you're looking for traditional Indian food in a pleasant atmosphere give it a try. The complementaty dessert is memorable.
Awesome service, everything is made in house, smells awesome. Great prices. Overall amazing, some of the best Indian cuisine I’ve been lucky enough to eat
I had the pleasure of coming to Taj Grill cuisine Restaurant to serve food, and I was truly impressed. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the food looked and smelled absolutely delicious. The staff worked with great professionalism and kindness, making sure everything was perfect. This restaurant not only serves authentic flavors but also provides an experience that makes you feel valued. Highly recommend Taj Grill cuisine Restaurant to anyone looking for excellent service and amazing cuisine!
Samar’s service was excellent! The food was great as well as the overall comfort and vibe of the restaurant. We got samosa special, veg jalfrezi and fish tikka. All we excellent. We even got a complementary (and yummy) dessert! Definitely recommend and would go back anytime we’re in town
Visiting the Sacramento area, we found this place online. The food was great. The food is made to order, fresh, not oily. It felt like homemade food. The spice level was on point. The service was excellent, courteous, and attentive. Chola bharura was awesome, and simple peas pulav was great too and sweets made from scratch there too. We had mango ice cream and gulab jamun.
To start, the service was awesome. Our server was incredibly friendly and had a great sense of humor. I wasn’t expecting it at first but that’s what made it so better. The other tables in the room were all laughing audibly when interacting with the host/server. The food was delicious. It was different from other Indian food I’ve had in the area but when I asked about it, I was told that it’s the style of northern Indian food. The naan was delicious. It wasn’t overbearing with garlic flavoring. The coconut chicken was extraordinary. The butter chicken was great. I would highly recommend. And the dessert…wow. Heaven in a bowl. What a great way to top off a wonderful meal. My mom and I had a great visit and shared plenty of smiles.
We are not sure why we had not tried this hidden gem in Folsom earlier! The ambience is warm, inviting, and feels authentically Indian. We started with complimentary papad, which was a nice touch. The chicken tikka kabob was full of flavor and came on a sizzling tandoor plate with slightly crisped rice that tasted absolutely amazing. We also ordered the Punjabi lemon chicken with naan, and it was equally delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming—the server was engaging and made us feel right at home. To top it all off, he surprised us with complimentary rasmalai, which was the perfect sweet ending. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine. We will definitely be coming back!
This place is awesome. Gary was our server and he was the man. Very knowledgeable and explained dishes, spiciness, etc. Whoever is saying the food is “too salty” has never had Indian food let alone food with flavor 🤦♂️This is hands-down, the best Indian food in the Folsom/ Orangevale area. Will definitely eat again and was able to take lots of food home to eat tomorrow portions are great and the food is delicious. You will not regret it. You need to make sure to come up this place.
Food was amazing my familys favorites were the chicken tiki masala, cheese naan, and the tandoori mix also the service was great 👍😃
Food is made from scratch, takes time, fish tikka masala should have more fish
Samar’s service was excellent! The food was great as well as the overall comfort and vibe of the restaurant. We got samosa special, veg jalfrezi and fish tikka. All we excellent. We even got a complementary (and yummy) dessert! Definitely recommend and would go back anytime we’re in town

We tried Taj Grill Indian Cuisine when they first opened up here in Orangevale. We were so happy when it was delicious and is now our go to Indian restaurant. We love the Chicken Tikka Masala (hot), Garlic Naan, and the Karahi Chicken (medium).
Noticed this new Indian restaurant on my way to work this morning and decided to give it a try tonight. Very pleased we did. We had the veggie pakoras and samosa along with spicy chicken tikka masala, lamb tikka and garlic and plain naan.
Stellar service, atmosphere. One of the cleanest restaurants ive ever been to, the water tasted like it came straight from a mountain 🤣 i will be back
Their food was ultimate. We started with Aloo Tikki, then Dal Makhani Navratan Korma. It was delicious. There Garlic Naan and Chilli Naan Even if you don't have vegetables with it, you'll still love it. And their customer service was commendable. “Samar “was very welcoming and provided excellent customer service, like family. Thank you very much Samar.🥰
I absolutely loved this Indian restaurant that I visited today—easily one of the most satisfying meals I’ve had in a long time. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, but the chhole bhature truly stole the show. The chhole was rich, deeply spiced, and perfectly balanced, while the bhature came out hot, fluffy, and beautifully puffed—crispy on the outside and soft inside. It tasted fresh and indulgent in the best way. The lemon chicken was another standout. It was tender, juicy, and bursting with bright citrus flavor that cut perfectly through the spices. The balance between tangy, savory, and mildly spicy was spot on, making it incredibly addictive. Beyond the food, the overall experience was fantastic.
If you know good food, you know Taj Grill. The Dal Makhani and Paneer Tikka are on another level. Get the Cheese Naan to go with the Saag Paneer—you won’t regret it. The Kabab was seasoned exactly how it should be. Big shout-out to Samar. He served the food with class and made sure everything was right. It’s rare to find a place where the service matches the quality of the kitchen. Top-tier experience. Respect.
Respect to Taj Grill for the best food around. We had the Dal Makhani, Paneer Tikka, Kabab, and Saag Paneer—all of it was top-tier. And don't skip the Cheese Naan; it’s the perfect side. Special thanks to Samar for the service. Samar served the food and did a great job—attentive, respectful, and made the whole experience better. When the food is this good and the service is on point, you know it’s a solid spot.
As good as it gets. The food was outstanding, especially the tandoori chicken and the roti, both clearly made from scratch with no artificial coloring. Everything tasted fresh, clean, and genuinely healthy. The real highlight was Samar, his service was exceptional. He made a great experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place.
A small but very pleasant family run restaurant. Service was good but a bit delayed as they were short staff on a Saturday evening. Food was outstanding, flavorful with color and freshness. All meals could be mild, medium or spicy, and we had a combination of mild and medium. All very spot on. Butter chicken was a star, many of the appetizers amd land were also good. Great flavors of northern and southern India. I had with an Indian beer and it certainly took me back to my travels through India 20 years ago, staff is hardworking and eager to please. 12 types of naan to pair with your dish.A real gem.
5 star experience here. The service is top notch. Waiter was really sweet and attentive. They gave us complimentary papadum. And they had complimentary individual desserts! The food was good! Make sure you choose “mild spicy” level if you can’t tolerate spicy food well. I love spicy food and got “medium spicy”, but it was still extra spicy for me. 10/10: Samosa. Classic and yum. 10/10: Chai with sugar. Chef’s kiss. 10/10: Rasmalai dessert. Milky and sweet. 9/10: Seafood korma. Nice and creamy. A good alternative to the other classic dishes. We got this with garlic naan with was also good - 1 order had around 4 pieces of naan. 8/10: Shrimp biryani. A bit too spicy but otherwise good. Really enjoyed the raita that came with this. 8/10: Mango ice cream. Authentic taste and is made with fresh mango in their kitchen. Just needed to be a little sweeter for my taste. Overall I would visit again, especially if they had a buffet.
We didn't get to take pictures of food because it disappeared in our tummies! Mr. SAMAR were extremely helpful and welcoming. Our favorites are the Methi Malayi Paneer and Butter Chicken! Please try their Masala Chai! It was delicious! Today my surprised....Special to Samar Thank you Again !!!
Hello Sir, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We truly respect every customer’s experience and take concerns like this very seriously. We would like to clarify that our standard recipe and portion protocol for Lamb Biryani includes more than four pieces of lamb. What you described is not consistent with our usual serving standards, which is why we would genuinely like to look into this matter further. Could you please share the date, time, and name under which the order was placed? This will help us properly investigate with our kitchen team. Our goal is not to dismiss your concern, but to ensure that if there was any mistake, we correct it immediately and prevent it from happening again. We appreciate your cooperation and hope to resolve this for you. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Thanks Taj Grill Folsom
Absolutely loved our experience at Taj Grill Indian Cuisine. We ordered the starters, paneer tikka (roasted), fish, and the non-veg plattereverything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The naan was extremely soft and fresh, just the way it should be. This is one of the best North Indian food experiences, very close to authentic Indian taste. The mango ice cream was perfect and a great way to end the meal. The restaurant has a very clean atmosphere, and the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!
For a hungry family returning from our skiing trip, Taj Grill turned out to be a lucky find! We had yummy freshly prepared north Indian food (Punjabi) vegetarian food. They also served excellent soft basmati rice cooked to perfection! Finished the meal with uncommonly amazing Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai! Will surely keep this place in mind for our next ski trip 😃

Hard to judge because the 1st thing I was told was *NO BUFFET.* However, the food was really good anyway. I've never been to an Indian restaurant that had INCREDIBLY great naan & followed up with great malai kofta - but they've got it right. This place is my new favorite!
I went for a quick, light dinner. The atmosphere was fine for a cafe/casual restaurant. The server was extremely pleasant and friendly. The menu came in a hard-bound booklet, very classy. There were so many delicious choices I agonized over it. I ordered a beer and a Lamb Masala Wrap. It took quite a while for the beer (10 min), and even longer for the food (30 min). As a result, I had to hurry to eat, and skipped the complimentary dessert, because I had somewhere to be. Based on his many lengthy disappearances into the kitchen, I suspect the server was also involved in preparing the meals. He did apologize for the delay twice. This is my only complaint; it just means I need to plan accordingly for my next visit, which I look forward to. The lamb wrap was HUGE and excellent; it was worth the wait. I ate only half for dinner and ate the other half for lunch the next day. The large pita contained big chunks of tender, nicely seasoned lamb, rice, and mixed grilled vegetables. It was my first such, and was a delight. Overall impression - a very nice place. I'd go back, but I plan to spend more time, enjoy the ambiance and try more food choices.
We waited 45 minutes for our food and we were the only people in the restaurant. We almost got up and left. There were a lot of people coming in for take out so I think the kitchen was prioritizing those orders. Once our food arrived it was really good. I had a Seinfeld moment with our server about leaving us the pitcher of water since we asked for water refills multiple times and he would never come back. I asked him to leave the pitcher when he finally came over with it and he said he would come back and do refills — I told him that hadn’t been the case for the prior 2 requests and to please just leave us the pitcher. He said no, I finally said, “sir just put the pitcher on the table.” It was comical. We were hangry. He never came out to check on us so I had to go find him to get leftover boxes and our check. He was trying to be funny and told us dessert was next and we couldn’t say no. I told him no. (Read the room?) Maybe just don’t dine in 🤷🏻♀️ My friend and I had a good belly laugh, and ate well, but we won’t be back. Thanks for a dining experience to remember. 🤙🏼
The ambiance was great. The service was on point. The food has issues which started of well during appetaizers. Then when dinner came it was very low. Low ratio briyani and over cooked gobi. Rolls were good.
Excellent taste but a for expensive price tag on why so little on the meat? Got 4 small pieces of lamb on my biriyani. Not competitive with other Indian restaurants.
I ordered Chicken Tikka masal with tandori roti. 1st thing- it does not look anything like the picture posted in their website. 2 nd thing- Full of oil, so much oil that I had to take a big service spoon to pull the oil off. 3 rd thing- chicken very chewy. Not cooked properly. Taste wise okay. SERVICE is goid and with smile. If concerned for health, I will not recommend this place. They need to work on making it healthful while keeping the taste intact.
