We live out of town and friends of ours brought us here for dinner. The food is authentic and amazing, drinks are above and beyond, and the staff make you feel welcome on so many levels. It is family owned and ran and each one of them makes you feel as if they are welcoming you in their home. Visconti’s raises the bar on authenticity in their cuisine and venue atmosphere. They are the full package and exactly we look for in our dining experience. We now make this our place to go when we come in town. ❤️
Absolutely awesome tasty food at a fair price. And the service is above and beyond... If you want great Italian fare, to must try this place....
Worth every penny. Frank is the man and his staff’s customer service was outstanding. Clean and organized. These guys and gals know what they are doing. Well priced for homemade gourmet.
I came in Tuesday night with my 1 year old son after we had finished a tough day with the doctors. The team was very kind and accommodating! Our server was Alex. He was very attentive, and understood modifications necessary with a child so young. The bruschetta was absolutely delicious, we also got a pepperoni pizza which was so good even as leftovers, and the fettuccini Alfredo with garlic bread was so rich and delicious. The noodles were cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor as well. I would highly recommend Viscontis to anyone who is looking for delicious Italian in the Sacramento region!
Tried their linguini alla italiana and it was absolutely devine! The seafood was fresh, the flavours light yet still packs a punch, and the portion was huge! It came with an option of soup or salad, and garlic bread too. I couldn't finish it all, and they happily wrapped up the remaining pasta, salad and bread to go for me which basically made another meal for me the next day. Ambiance was loud but can still talk, and it's designed around each group having their own booth so it's not a large open area but you can still hear a lot of other's conversations. I like the pictures on the wall with Italian streets and surroundings which kinda brings that Italian vibes to life a little bit more. For the travellers - no wifi available here. Price guide (as of Sep 2025): Linguini alla italiana $29 Red wine $12 Tax $3.18
This is a really cool family run place I have been to for a third time now! I recently went to visit to celebrate my friend’s birthday and we ended up reserving a spot at 7, and stayed past closing time. We did not feel rushed at all - in fact, after we paid and were finally ready to leave - one of the servers who did not even serve us personally showed us the restaurant’s newly renovated bar and we got to talking with the bartender and a few other staff just hanging out. we felt very welcomed and there’s no doubt that we’ll be back, eithrr separately or together!
Holy cow so awesome! I ate here over 15 years ago when it was by the DMV in Folsom! I was afraid it; would not taste the same as many places have. It's absolutely fabulous the food is exceptionally excellent n this is chicken Parmesan, beef raviolis, spaghetti n meatballs n beef lasagna! You're missing out true Italian n flavors of Italy
The food here is delicious. I had Chicken Alfredo. The wine was good, also. The staff is very attentive. In fact, perhaps a little too much. My wife and I were trying to have a conversation, but we were constantly being asked if we were finished so they could take our plate. Our waitress used the phrase we dread: “are you still working on that?” We’ve spent a good amount of time in Italy. Frankly, Visconti’s food is better. However, they could work on a little more relaxed atmosphere to be perfectly Italian. Having said this (one drawback), I highly recommend Visconti’s. We’ll definitely be back! This was I believe our third time here, which is how many visits I want before I rate.
This is hands down the best Italian food I’ve ever had! They truly know how to work their magic. Be prepared for long wait times, especially on weekends, as the place is packed. The servers are friendly, and the complimentary garlic bread is the perfect cherry on top—it’s delicious! If you're looking for suggestions, the only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the calamari. It comes with tentacles, which isn’t for me, and it’s more chewy than crispy, which I personally don’t enjoy. Other than that, the food is fantastic. Highly, highly recommend!
Stopped by for lunch at this cozy restaurant. The ambiance and decor 😍 ✨️ Great place for a date night and even a business lunch 👌The soup and salad were great... but the bread and Veal parmesan were DEVINE! The red sauce was bright and had the right amount of acidity. The lunch special didn't come with pasta, so please note that if you want pasta for lunch, you'll have to order the dinner. Either way, you won't be disappointed 💯 😁
This was actually my 1st time here although my daughter and son-in-law had been here in the past. We went in for lunch but ordered off the dinner menu. The restaurant has a nice decor, the staff was friendly and we had a fantastic waitress, Emma, who had a great personality. She was attentive and added to our nice experience. The food was really good, well prepared and nice portions. The Pollo Piccata and Eggplant Alla Mamma were served with a side of pasta, garlic bread and a side salad. My son-in-law ordered a large calzone with a side salad and I ordered a small 10” regular pizza with a side salad. We all had their house dressing which is very tasty. My pizza was nicely cooked and I asked them to make the bottom crust crunchy (which Emma said was well done) They got it perfect in my mind. They also serve thin crust pizza if you like. The calzone was also well made. If you are in the area and want a nice meal in a nice restaurant that won’t cost you and arm and a leg - please visit this establishment!!

I had the spaghetti and meatballs lunch and it was delicious and I had enough to take home for another meal. The waitress was very kind and boxed up the food to go for us.

This is an excellent restaurant run by a family. The food for all of us was delicious. They also take reservations which is a big plus when a group of us are eating out.

We arrived at the restaurant at 6pm on Sunday with our friend who already called for reservation. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly but she was hard to find. Our friend didn’t get her appetizer salad until all the entrees were served and had to ask for it from another waitress. We also had to ask for water refill after flagging another server. - Minestrone soup: disappointing. It was too salty for my taste and super watered down. There were only few vegetables and pasta at the bottom. - Garlic bread: the bread was warm and soft. The garlic and butter were very prominent. - Pollo marsala: the chicken cooked perfectly and the sauce was good but I didn’t taste any wine in it. The spaghetti was perfectly al-dante and the marinara sauce tasted super fresh and delicious. - Meat combo pizza with regular crust (medium): the pizza was superb! The crust was fluffy yet had perfect crunch. The red sauce was super good and fresh. There were tons of meat toppings on top and they tasted very good and fresh.
The customer service was impeccable. As busy as they were they were always number one on a game. This is a good size restaurant with eating facilities outside in the bar area and the main dining room. You can't beat the excellent prices for the quality and amount of food you get. If there's anything I can say bad about this place; I would but I have nothing bad to say..
I had dinner with friends at Visconti's. We were a party of six. Service was good. We were seated on time. Visconti's allowed the time to eat and visit. The booths are large and fit our entire group with the dinner plates. Although passing food as it arrived was difficult. I missed the old Visconti's. The restaurant was smaller and quieter. The owner stopped by to chat with you and make a suggestion. He sometimes offered you a small glass of wine. I had the chicken marsala with spaghetti (I would prefer it with fettuccini alfredo), minestrone soup with complimentary garlic bread. My wife had the chicken piccata. Other dishes were seafood cioppino, and eggplant Visconti (stuffed with a special cheese). The booth was too long for me to see the last two dishes. Soup, salad, and garlic bread come with dinner. Access is flat and easy. Good for wheel chair access, elderly, and children. There is plenty of parking, but it is difficult to find a spot. Dinners are moderately priced $30/ person + tip. Reminded me of Buca di Beppo.
We have been coming here for a few years now and really enjoy the atmosphere. The service is great and the food is yummy! The bruschetta is one of my favorite things to order! We have never been disappointed by anything we have had. The house salad is nothing exciting and small but other than that everything else we have ever had had been really good.
It’s Saturday (3/18) night dinner with the family. Our first time here. We had two additional guests with us for a total of 7. Made reservation for a table for 7 at 7pm. Was seated fairly quickly upon arrival. The place was clean, warm, and welcoming. It was busy but not overwhelming. The menu options were plenty and the drink menu as well. Service was excellent. Took our orders and food was served within less than 15 minute wait. The food was tasty and good. Fresh and hot out of the kitchen. We love Italian food and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the Chicken Marsala, Chicken Fettuccine, Tortellini Pesto and Spinach, Angel Hair Pesto, and Linguini Alla Sorrentina, and Linguini Alla Italians. Dessert was okay but not great. We got the Cannoli and it was average. We’ve had better. Overall, it was a good experience. Restaurant presentation 5/5. Service 5/5. Food 4/5 (When compared to other Italian eateries we’ve been to). Dessert 4/5 (Again, when compared to other similar Italian eateries offering similar). Food presentation 4/5. Overall experience 4/5. If you’re in the area, definitely recommend stopping by. Won’t disappoint.

Service- waters came 30 minutes into sitting right before appetizers was overall busy, parking was packed and busy. Waiter saw us 4 times saw other staff more often. Food-Husband had the lobster ravioli really disappointed not much flavor and lacked of flavor. My brother had the clam chowder was over salty and barely tasted like chowder. Scampi was good. My food I had the shrimp with cream sauce I took three bites and called it good. Calamari was delicious only redeeming factor for me.
We took our mother out for an early Mother's Day dinner. Our usual "go to" Italian restaurant is Papa Giannini's, but we decided to try someplace new. We were greeted and seated right away. Staff was friendly and attentive. Our server was outstanding. Our party ordered fettuccine Alfredo w/chicken, spaghetti w/meatballs, cheese ravioli, and a 10" pizza. The Entrees were pretty good. Served warm, not hot. Tasted better than it looked. We had a good experience.
Girlfriend and I visited for the first time since moving to CA. Saw the reviews and were beyond excited. Much to my disappointment the food did not live up to expectations. The sauce was watery (picture attached) and pasta did not seem fresh “opinion”. My girlfriend however did like the Pasta Vodka however if you read the menu it states spicy and both can agree it was not. You will be disappointed if you have that expectation. Service however was friendly and attentive, consistently providing refills of both bread and beverage. We wholeheartedly appreciate that and is why the restaurant deserves 3 stars. We are willing to give this place another opportunity but if the food was to the same level as our first time visiting we will not be back.

This place is absolutely terrible. The service is fine but the food is mediocre at best. Pasta is nearly flavorless and stay away from the pizza. The crust was practically cement.

The service during our visit was extremely disappointing and lacked professionalism from start to finish. From early in the meal, our server showed very little awareness of our table and rarely stopped by to check in or clear empty plates, which were left sitting for an extended period and made the table feel cluttered and neglected. As the meal progressed, we were served a poorly prepared garlic bread that did not meet basic quality expectations, and a photo has been provided to accurately reflect its condition. Throughout the evening, we felt noticeably overlooked compared to surrounding tables, as others received more consistent attention and care. When it came time to leave, our server did not thank us or wish us a good night, while another staff member who was not assigned to us did. She also boxed leftovers for nearby tables but never offered to box or bag ours, and a busser ultimately had to step in to provide me with a container. The food overall was decent and the atmosphere was enjoyable, which makes the service issues even more disappointing because the restaurant clearly has potential. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this experience fell well below standard hospitality expectations and deserves attention.
These people are unprofessional, horrible and their food sucks. Just avoid if you can, too pricey for $20 for an average old fashioned! I frequented them too often and their pizza, pasta and meatballs are below average, and the bar is too loud and the owners/staff are unprofessiona. Service is mediocre and just living in their past laurels. Avoid them at any cost, this will be my last visit.
Zero stars. 1. The server who took our order was rude and she refused to help us understand the menu, bluntly saying everything was already described there. 2. We clearly asked for no mushrooms, yet the dish was full of mushrooms. When we pointed it out, she didn’t even bother to apologize. Seriously!!!! 3. There were spider webs all over the lights and fans, which shows poor cleanliness. I honestly don’t understand how this place has such high ratings, they seem misleading and possibly paid. I strongly recommend staying away.
I used to come here regularly a couple of years ago and would sit at the bar with a friend. The drinks were fine, but my last visit made me uncomfortable enough that I never returned. During that visit, an employee, Tony, made an unsolicited comment about my sexual orientation based on what I was wearing, saying, “I always knew you were straight.” It caught me off guard and felt inappropriate and unprofessional. No customer should be labeled or analyzed like that. Between that experience and the fact that the food is not authentic Italian, I didn’t feel any reason to come back. Professionalism and making guests feel comfortable matter.
