Come here when visiting family in the area. Nothin fancy, just a cool place to grab a drink and play a few songs on the jukebox. What more could you ask from a watering hole. Check 'em out.

The wife and I found this nice cozy spot out in Foresthill. It is out Foresthill Rd a bit but a great destination for a nice ride on the Hog. Great staff, great atmosphere, in a gorgeous area within Placer County. It's become one of our favorite destinations on our rides lately. They don't serve food often but have snacks and a Chinese place next door that'll bring your food right over. Definitely recommend checking out the good ol' Mountain Club in Foresthill.

I first went there to meet up with my girlfriend...loved it. Very good service and drinks. Great crowd too. Very welcoming. Since then.. Girlfriend is no longer..but I will still come here ...cuz it is fun and several nice ladies are there too.

Friendly and clean. Equipment in good shape. Tuesday tournaments are fun and competitive. 21st century internet Juke box always playing full spectrum of old and new. Clean restrooms. Common door leads to excellent Chinese restaurant. Those folks will happily deliver your order to the Mt Club 'till around 9:p.m. Large green back yard with horseshoes and shaded picnic tables. 420 ok. Larry, 'Shoes' and staff are glad to see you. Eclectic, no drama or hostility. I drive 130 miles round trip two or three times a month to compete with friends I've developed there over the last several years.

Food was good, atmosphere was also good. We went mid week and found the bartender to be the only server for the entire place. He was working 5 or 6 tables in addition to the bar. He got a few things wrong, mostly because he was in the weeds. Come on now...buckle down and hire a server to help the poor guy out.

The owner is rude

The bartender made good Bloody Mary's but the atmosphere was not to friendly. I'm not a local but my parents lived in Foresthill from 1990 until they passed in 2019. My brother lives in their house now. In 1997 my husband and I got married at the Red Tin Roof B an B. Everyone had rooms at the Forest House. We celebrated at this bar. So I was a bit surprised at how chilly it felt in there. This was the 1st time my husband and I felt like an outsider in 31 years.
