Opiniones de Michael's Cuisine Fort Worth
I traveled to Ft. Worth for work & I was recommending going to Michaels for lunch. I ordered a beef tenderloin & it was probably the best I have ever tasted. I never finish the food off my plate & I left nothing on there. The music, the bread, the fireplace, the food was excellent! I would definitely drive from Austin to Ft. worth for a day to eat there again!
We liked this place so much we had to eat there TWO nights in a row and we are from out of state. I grew up eating lots of steaks as we raise beef. Their peppercrusted fillet is the best I have ever had. The quail we had as apps was just as excellent. We ate at two other steak houses in Ft. Worth and this was the best.
I can not believe we have not visited this wonder restaurant. Nestled right in our backyard and never knew about it until recently. The atmosphere is so calm and relaxing and the food is absolutely exquisite. Highly recommend the peppered steak! Also pictured was there crusted halibut and the famous jalapeño shrimp. Hats off to Colleen for a special night.
My husband and I finally visited Michael’s cuisine for the first time. The food was phenomenal, especially the “pecan crusted goat cheese chicken” and the “classic baked goat cheese.” This was likely the best chicken I’ve ever enjoyed. The atmosphere is pretty casual and the service was great. We will definitely be back!
Michael's is the place to go on Tuesday nights for their famous Prime Rib. We'd heard a lot about it and finally got our chance to enjoy a wonderful evening here. The service was great. Our server knew all about the menu and was very helpful in answering questions. I asked for an end cut of prime rib. I really like the crispy outside, and although its usually a little more toward the medium well side, it was delicious. My hubby ordered a 12 ounce portion, medium to medium rare. It arrived perfectly cooked and nestled on a bed of the best mashed potatoes around. The gravy was hot and flavorful as well. We'll be back soon to try more of the menu items. I know we can't go wrong!
Decided to try Michaels Cuisine after passing by the location one day. I did some research online and read a lot of positive reviews. Went on a Tuesday since I read it's the only day they serve prime rib. It was amazing. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture because I was so hungry and scarfed it down. Went back the following week and tried the oven roasted chicken. The sauce they put under the vegetables and chicken was so damn good I could drink it. I also had the jalapeno shrimp for appetizer and was impressed with how delicious it was. I can eat jalapenos with no problem, but if you are not a spicy food kinda person give them a shot. They pickle the jalapenos so there is almost zero spice, but amazing flavor. This is a great casual place with a really friendly staff. Would even say it's a nice place for date night. They make you feel very welcomed even if it is your first time. Also the second time I went I noticed the same people and they were all having a really good time. The owner came and spoke with me and said he has been at that location for I believe over 30 years. If you haven't been here in a while or have never been then you should head over for a great meal.
I love love love Michael’s. I have lived down the street for years before I decided to try this place. And I have been missing out big time. I love their steak dishes. I like the Cattle Rancher steak. Comes with a nice sized baked potato with all the fixings. The Pepper crusted beef tenderloin is my favorite! Comes with the BEST mashed potatoes and these insane delicious Thai green beans. Also the Gonzalo Chicken salad is also a favorite I get often. Service is good! Love the bartender and the servers. They do a great job! I recommend Michael’s to everyone and anyone!!!
Great place to sit on the patio with friends under the big tree. The food is wonderful. I never had anything I didn’t like.
Nice place. Food was excellent. My ribeye was tender enough to cut with a fork. Service was top notch.
Amber was very sweet and accommodating. Wouldn't mind going back. Atmosphere was chill and inviting.
Very friendly atmosphere! Food is great! I highly recommend Michaels!
Great food. Our server Raelene was amazing. Definitely see another date night here.
Hey I've been around a long time they have very good food and great service
We stopped in before a show at Casa. We met with friends, had a few drinks and a lot of fun. I had the clam chowder, which was amazing. I recommend it to everyone.
Food and drinks were both amazing. I had an espresso martini and it was one of the best I’ve had. The atmosphere was really cozy and inviting. Will definitely be back.
Pablo's demeanor and attention was outstanding! The chef's creative rendition of classic dishes show amazing imagination. Must try!
My lunch was so delicious. The bread was to die for... The portions are so large. The staff was so nice and knowledgeable. 5 star visit..
They handled it all efficiently. So glad I chose this place.
Had the chicken fried steak and the crab cakes, both were amazing. Finished with the creme brulee with hidden berries, best creme brulee I have ever had.
Loved it food is excellent try the chicken scallopini Let me revise this the bartender is amazing cant remember his name but the tall guy thats always at the end of the bar standing is outright RUDE and im being nice.
Chef Michael Thompson has consistently put out outstanding food for 25+ years. I wish I still lived in Fort Worth so I could enjoy more of his food
Had chicken friend steak and my lady friend had the steak salad. Great portions, excellent food/ service and reasonably priced for this level of cuisine. Going back!
I had the oysters Rockefeller for an app was a big hit very good starter. Followed it up with the swordfish for my main entree Over fresh asparagus and artichokes and baby tomatoes so very tender for sword fish ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!
They brought the nurses atJPS hospital lunch this week! My wife works there in the ICU unit. I found some leftovers in the fridge. I got into it and after I ate it! I told the wife that was Amazing! Also asked her where it came from? She said it was from yall! Great food from an incredible restraunt who has Heart ❤ for the Nurses at John Peter Smith Hospital! Ill be visiting yall soon!
Stopped here before the rodeo. The prime rib was excellent and so was the service. The old fashioned was ok but still giving 5 stars for the food and service.
The food was Incredible. The drinks were right on!..the chef came out to talk to us so we can compliment him. I definitely will eat there again 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Weekly happy hour spot. Drinks are great, food is incredible. Wonderful service.
Great tortilla soup and fireplaces
I was well treated by the staff the moment I stepped into the restaurant. The food was top quality and the atmosphere provided a comfortable evening with my wife. Thank you for the experience.
Let me tell you one classic restaurant the food is great! But the company is greatness! MT is the Man!
Exceptional little place. Everyone is so welcoming and the food is delicious. Would recommend to anyone.
Terrific food in a cozy environment. Great selection of some of best food in FW. Love their music also!
Food was great for the money, friendly staff. They charged me $3 on top of a $95 bill because I used a credit card; which I think is kind of silly. 🤷
The bar staff is always on top of drinks, friendly and accommodating. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Be sure to try the ancho bar tender!
Had a girls night out! Delicious food! Wine was perfect w our meal! No complaints ! Will be back!
Everything...every thing is excellent. The entree meats are perfectly cooked, and the vegetables are perfectly as well. The tea is well made and flavorful, not like the watery tea at other restaurants. Our dessert (white chocolate bread pudding) was amazing. The service is excellent, and they talk to you like real people.
The decor and atmosphere is great. We went on prime rib night, and our server/bartender Chris was absolutely amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable about both the food menu and the cocktails. On to the food: the prime rib was absolutely incredible. I couldn't believe how reasonably priced it was. I will absolutely be back to this hidden gem.
Best Restaurant in Fort Worth, I walked in and joined a family celebrating a birthday or something, Food was great, service was excellent, family was really nice. I was surprised that they didn't ask me to leave their table, instead they treated me like family. I left with one of their relatives and we have been dating for 2 weeks now! Highly recommended!
New to Monticello, My husband and I slid in on a Thursday, without a reservation, and sat at the bar to be served by the bartender Chris. He ordered the Backyard Chicken and I the Tortilla soup and Goat cheese salad. All I can say was…FABULOUS! This will be a regular experience for us. Thank you Chris for excellent service!
This restaurant is very underrated. We had a nice family meal here. Our server was very knowledgeable about wines, prompt, and very attentive. We will definitely return! It's ashamed that we didn't know about this establishment sooner. Sometimes all the new restaurants get all the hype, but this long-standing one is a are real gem!
A hidden gem you cannot overlook! We happened upon Michaels when other dinner plans fell through and it was kismet that we found this place. Had the oysters Rockefeller, crab cakes, and prime rib; everything was sumptuous and delectable. The green beans were also something to write home about. Chris was behind the bar, he and another young lady were the only front of house staff that showed up and even though they were swamped they had a good attitude and performed their jobs with excellence. Kudos to the folks who showed up, this place is worth your time!
Great experience tonight, service was exceptional and food was beyond expectations, as usual. Really nice to sit in front of a fireplace and relax and being taken care of on a really cold night. If you haven't been there then you should definitely try it out! And, if you have don't leave them off of your radar. Beyond expectations!!!
Very comfortable and enjoyable happy hour, with specials galore!!! The sliders were amazing, I'm looking forward to coming back for a dinner.
I ordered the turkey (deep fried), stuffing and pecan pie for Thanksgiving dinner. I asked that they carve the turkey. The presentation was superb!! Oh...what a treat that was!! The food was tasty, the turkey was moist in a nice gravy. The stuffing was just right and the pie...oh the pie. The food was enjoyed by all.
I've been a Michael's regular for over a decade. It never diappoints. The amazing food and attention to detail are impeccable. The service is outstanding. If you stop by, do ask for Zhanna. A lovely girl from eastern Europe that really made our experience. The wines are there for a reason to compliment each dish as she explained. Going back for the service now.
The pepper crusted tenderloin is amazing!! Michaels is definitely our families favorite restaurant in Fort Worth. Always great service and amazing food. It is definitely a must try if you have never been
I found this place on a late night and when I pulled up I admit I almost didn't go in, but thank God I did!! Just when you think you are approaching what seems to be a possible run down hole in the wall the elegance and friendly service hits you as soin as you enter! What was behind the doors was not at all what I expected, it was very nice and the low lighting set the mood even more. Now of course you want to know about the food! When I say I've had many chicken fried steaks I can honestly say that Michaels is the first I've ever came across that was actually seasoned every bite was full of flavor!! This isn't no ordinary chicken fried steak.. You will not be disappointed the size is definitely enough for 2 and forget about mash potatoes do something different ! The pablano grits are to die for and when u hit your chicken fried steak with a dash of grits a party happens in your mouth 😂 people don't let the looks of the building fool u this place is definitely worth every bite and every penny.. Oh and the Thai chile green beans omg!! Mouth watering... And of course I had to try a dessert my experience only got better and better banana pudding definitely not one like you have ever had its solo delicious... But I have to admit that creme brulee will definitely have u returning!! Micheal your food is soooo appreciated thanks for always serving upgreat food and a friendly experience
Very good food and lots of it. Almost everyone took something home. The atmosphere was excellent and you are able to enjoy your meal in a quiet relaxing place. The service was excellent and with a very knowledgeable and friendly waitress??
What a wonderful experiemce. I'm so glad that Michael still has the Pecan crusted goat cheese chicken and after 20 years I revisited to taste it again. Same recipe. Awesome experience
It has been awhile since we've dined here and we have been missing out! We came with friends before a show at Casa and enjoyed every part of our experience. The drinks were outstanding, the famous tortilla soup was delicious as ever and each of our entrees were perfection. Jack, our waiter, was attentive and helpful to our need to meet the show time. The owner came to our table and addressed my wife's shrimp allergy by ensuring he understood her personal need and assuring us that the kitchen would use proper technique to not cause an issue for her. We had to take our ancho chili chocolate mousse to go and can't wait for this treat in the morning with our coffee. Thank you Michael for a fantastic meal and experience. We will be back soon!
Not the white table clothes restaurant I remembered. Very laid back. Had the Burger Week Ragu, Pepperoni, Mushroom burger with a diet Coke. The combo was $18.23. Like a burger/ pizza blend. Tasty.
Great memories through the years with friends at Michael's Restaurant. Warm cozy atmosphere and always delicious meals.
We went there yesterday, at first we didn’t think about staying but we wanted to give it a trying seeing that it was our first time In there, they immediately greeted us. The waitress was very nice and polite very attentive too she kept checking on us to make sure we were ok. The food was amazing I got a pep pizza and he got a meat lovers (butchers pizza) overall 10/10 the atmosphere was good we struck up a convo with a gentleman ended in a hug I can genuinely say this was a 10/10 experience. I will definitely be coming back
I cannot believe the score of this place isn't higher. The food was so good. I had kind of a low bar, but was so pleasantly surprised! The portions were big, the atmosphere was cozy, the service was great. My one complaint is it did take awhile to be served, but we did get there right as it opened, so I can forgive that easily. Definitely will come here again next time I am in town!!
Wow! We were really impressed with the taste of our dinners. We ordered two items and shared. Decor is nice and calm but the music and neighboring conversations were a bit loud. Service was attentive.
Very pleasant location and gracious staff. I had the filet with green beans and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious, and the price was fair. I'll definitely be back.
Liked the cozy atmosphere and friendly waitress. The turkey wrap is served cold, I would prefer it hot. The french fries were very tasty. Tortilla soup had lots of spicy tasty chicken. The downside was my wife's casserole had chicken bones in it which were on a napkin. The waitress paid no attention to that, and changed the subject when my wife suggested she report it to the kitchen. We won't be back. Not recommended. Phil
Food was great but had to wait a while for service and water was not refilled. Sat outside, weather was beautiful but wished it could be non-smoking.
The ambience is on point, and I love the food! Service is not too bad. The forest cake is so mmm good!!
Tried this place for the first time the other night. Food was ok. Our server was great tho. Hannah i think? Super friendly and quick with our orders. We'll be back
A delectable dining experience - Apps were quail sticks & wonton tacos. Both fabulous. The tortilla soup was outstanding, even though they forgot to add the cheese. Entrees were tenderloin & bone in ribeye cooked to perfection. I would’ve given 5 stars, however, a $200 meal shouldn’t be enjoyed at a high top bar table directly next to the restroom, especially when you have reservations. GROSS!!!!! Thank goodness for Emily, she noticed our apprehension and moved us to a more suitable table. Her friendly and personal service coupled with the delicious food will definitely bring us back!
Exceptional food and good services. We dropped in for an early lunch and we're delighted with the menu choices. This is not your usual eatery. The food provided suggests that the chef takes usual lunch dishes then adds his special touch. Try their soup of the day...it's quite tasty. And the decor is lovely.
Overall a good find. Food was good. Service was good and our waitress really tried to take care of our party of 8. Atmosphere was nice with a warm fireplace inside. Would visit again and try some other things on the menu.
Food was very good, but a little pricey. Soup and burger with coffee and soft drink....$30? Come on, really? The chicken fried steak was $18....that's why I didn't order it. I can get one just as good at Cotton Patch, on Mondays, for a third of that price. I recommend this place, it's very good, but I doubt I'll come back because it's too expensive.
The waitress was pleasant. The fish was okay, a little overcooked. The potatoes freaked me out at first, because they came out looking like mashed sweet potatoes, but to my delight, they were awesome.
This rating is solely based on the food. The Wonton BBQ tacos were fantastic (comes with 3 mini tacos). We also had both chicken dishes, the crusted and roasted, both were excellent and juicy. The dining space is very casual and is in no way an indication of how the food tastes. Our waitress was sweet, attentive and quick. We will definitely be back to taste more.
Came here for valentines dinner. Food was amazing. I had the 12oz prime rib and it was cooked perfectly. My wife had a New York strip that was also cooked amazingly. We enjoyed one of the best crème brûlée’s we’ve ever had. Only reason I didn’t give 5 star was because there was a guy that walked it soliciting candy bars to everyone at their tables.
First of all, 5:00 on a friday we weren't allowed to sit at a table because they were all reserved for dinner, yet when we left still not a single table was sat. So we sat in the bar area which had chairs a bit worn and paint missing from the wall in spots. We weren't given a menu. The bartender went to the 2 tables next to us, but not us. I'm assuming because we weren't regulars. The menu is mostly steak, 1 fish and 1 chicken option. You can sub out sides but they will cost ya, like a $4 baked potato. I had the crab cakes which didn't taste of crab, mostly rice and a tomato like base. My bf chicken fried steak was a bit overdone. Veggies were very BLAND. Mashed potatoes were about a spoon serving worth. Soda was flat. Our server was nice. But I'd give it a 2.5 honestly, just was not impressed, especially at that price point.
I think my wife heard about this place so wanted to try it for our 5 year anniversary. We made a reservation for 7:30, so I was expecting something more upscale and super nice. This place is tucked in the corner of a shopping center so it's easy to miss. You wouldn't think you would have to make a reservation once you see the outside. The waiter Jacob was very attentive, we asked for his suggestion since our 1st time there. I got the chicken fried steak and my wife ordered the paper crusted tenderloin. The sauce on the chicken fried steak was to die for! I tried a piece of my wife steak and it was good as well. I think the prices are a little steep for this establishment. My wife tenderloin was $36 which would be ok if it was an upscale place. You can tell this is an old establishment where the locals hang out. Also, with it being our 5 year anniversary was hoping they would go out their way and give us a complimentary dessert or champagne, no! Overall the food was good, service was good but the prices could be a little lower for a restaurant in an old shopping center.
Nice atmosphere and a good place for date night. Service is okay, but not up to par at this price point. Bread plates on the table but was not served to us but was to other tables. Ordered food and was cooked to order. Steak had little to no seasoning and was an okay piece of meet. Not seared. Pecan crusted chicken with goat cheese was the best dish at our table. Peppercorn tenderloin was very spicy beyond pepper. We like spicy food so this was acceptable to us but it may be more than you're used to. Chocolate Mousse and strawberry shortcake were excellent. Creme brulee was not. Gritty sugar texture instead of creamy and smooth. Quiet place that is nice to talk over dinner but I would suggest other places for a food experience.
Their crab cakes are delicious, but different, not breaded and fried. My husband's burger was cooked to order, medium rare. Atmosphere is dark, difficult to see the menu unless you're under the downright. We ordered 2 desserts to go. We were dissapointed in their portion size, especially for the price paid. I did get a free 2 oz bottle of their Roc-Doc seasoning with a coupon I received at a grocery store promotion. I rate the seasoning 5 stars! There is an outside patio. This restaurant is in the corner of a strip shopping mall. Parking lot was FULL except at the far end.
Dinner for 2: appetizer, 4 cocktails, 2 entrees and dessert = $194. Goodness, I know this place has been here forever but it’s time for an upgrade to go along with this price tag. Reservations were made and they wanted to put us at a high top table just off of the bar in the very bright lights, away from “the scene”. Ambiance…lacking ALOT Food…OK. Cocktails…good. There are many places in FW that have better food, better service, better ambiance for this price and we will continue to pay $200 somewhere else (The Tavern, Pacific Table, Del Friscos DE, Bocca Osteria, Maria’s, Bearded Lady, Flying Carpet, Righteous Foods) Wanted to love it. But not giving it another try.
Pros: - Dark inside* - Food was good Cons: - *Although dark, which is good, the light that WAS there were spotlights which were bad. - No sweet tea (im Texan, c'mon) - Didn't give/offer napkins or straws (small i know, but i care about it) - Staff stared alot, made me uncomfortable - The tables are very susceptible to skin oil (I'm unfortunately very oily) CONCLUSION: - It was a decent lunch, but for the prices, the experience was a bit lackluster but pretty okay. 👍🏾
Saw the restaurant posted on Fort Worth Love List on IG so decided to try it with my girlfriend for a nice dinner. The ambiance leaves a lot to be desired… we were sat in the corner near the fireplace so it’s possible the bar area is much nicer but based on where we sat, we felt isolated and like the atmosphere was dead and outdated (eg, old tables and chairs… not inviting). Our server was very nice but at times a bit inattentive and forgot about our second round of drinks. I think they may have been short staffed which led to that but I can’t do much about that. The food was all across the board. The quail zing stix were great and really delicious but the entrees were “meh” at best. The crab cakes were more like bbq crab cakes which, while an interesting take on them, were super salty and just an odd combo. The beef tenderloin was okay but while I asked for it to be prepared medium, it was definitely raw+ in the center and well done on the outside (good flavor though). The mashed potatoes, though, were incredible! The mules we drank were really good - 5* on those! We did witness a bit of an issue at another table where they felt they were misled by the price of the fish special and I was impressed by the way the owner came out and dealt with the situation - so top marks to management and how they deal with customers. Obviously they’ve been in business a long time so management knows what they’re doing - I just think that the menu might need to be expanded a little bit and have some updated decor.
Food was good. Service was horrible. We made a outdoor reservation but when we got to the restaurant was told they do not have enough staff to serve outdoors. They even put us right in front of restroom. We had a horrible experience when people came to do number 1/2 and looked at us when they go in.
Had the crab cakes. Sauce overwhelmed them. Couldn’t taste the crab. Do not recommend. Husband had a filet. 4 oz at best for a $36 steak. Not a good steak either. Red wine served I. White wine (cheap) glasses. Short pours. This place was recommended by a FT Worth native who used to go a lot and wanted to try it again. Sorely disappointed...to the point where the disappointment is still on my mind 4 hours later. Do not recommend this place and will not go back
Wait staff was constantly interrupting, putting their hands on us - just over-friendly - even when we told them to stop. They did not listen to what we wanted so we had to repeat ourselves. The corned beef & cabbage dinner was very good. The eggs benedict was boring with too much ham. The corned beef sandwich was okay but the sauerkraut was very very spicy. The sticky bun did not have enough of the "sticky" part. It was overpriced as others have said. We wonder when the other who said it was quiet went. It was very very loud and the more people drank, the louder it got. It's a nice space otherwise.
The food was good and it was a great atmosphere. My wife and I stopped by after attending the symphony. The only problem we had was the waitresses kept ignoring us for the regulars & the group of drunk women. Maybe they thought we wouldn't tip them well? Sucks to be them cause we both worked our way thru college working at restaurants so we are more than generous on tipping. After we ate I wanted another beer but we never got helped until another waitress brought over our ticket and just left it on the table. We paid and left. We went down the street and actually got served, and after being ignored here we more than made the waiter's night with our tip
Service was nice. As for the food, there’s room for improvement. We were made to feel like everything was made from scratch or authentic, but for the Perry’s steakhouse prices you charge, the food was underwhelming. There’s definitely potential.
Very overpriced. Could have an equal steak at Outback for less money. The Calamari was over cooked and chewy. It tasted like it came straight out of the freezer box and the marinara dip tasted like it was with Ragoo or some other cheap sauce. In this area there are much better steak houses if that’s what you would call this place.
We recently were visiting in Fort Worth and used to always go to this restaurant when we were in town.My daughter used to live nearby there, and they used to go quite frequently. Unfortunately, things have changed. They have a somewhat limited wine selection by the glass, and no rosé wines at all, so I asked for a TASTE of one particular, very moderately priced Chardonnay. I was told that they don’t DO that, which I’ve never been told that at a nice restaurant in my life. I then instead ordered a dirty martini and when we got the bill, they had charged me twice at nine dollars each, because they said a martini is a double and that’s how they break down the bill. In addition, I was ALSO charged almost 3 dollars for blue cheese stuffed olives. So my very average dirty martini cost me almost $22. I could expect that kind of charge if I was in New York or Paris, but not in a little bistro off the beaten path in Ft. Worth. The food was good, not bad, but the whole experience deterred us from ever coming back. We just felt that they were not catering at all to the customer and, had we not charged for the martini in that way or had a taste of the wine, we probably would’ve had one or two more drinks, and the bill would’ve been higher, netting a much higher profit for the restaurant. We just felt very nickeled and dimed. And things like this explain why the restaurant is never very busy. The worst thing was that my daughter, who used to be a very frequent customer and used to tell people to make sure when visiting Fort Worth to go to Michael’s, all that is forever changed.
Steak was very bland. I got the rib eye, so did another member of my party. There was very little flavor. I added salt and it improved the flavor. My wife got a chicken dinner that was decent. For the piece range, $200 for party of 4, there are far better tasting options. Had a reservation, there were 2 parties in the entire place and they say us in the back right next to the other group. The back tables have connected booth seats, and we were pretty much in their laps.
Service was slow considering there was only about 8 people and most of them were at the bar. We ordered drinks and two appetizers the quail was like rubber I only ate two of the six pieces and my wife had the shrimp which was also quite bad. She only ate one piece out bill for 3 drinks and two appetizers was almost 80 bucks and it was some of the worst food I've ever had. We went somewhere else for dinner.
Hours are wrong. They "open" the doors at 5 but serve at 530. Unless you're a regular, you wouldn't know. We walked in right at 530 and the bar was full. Just so you know!😜
I have enjoyed many meals at Michael's, but last Friday night (7/9/21), I ordered the fish special and it was destroyed by them putting a lot of cilantro on it. Why would anyone put cilantro on a fish dish. I had to send it back as it was unedible. That will most likely be my last time eating at Michael's.
They must think im an idiot and the food they serve is fresh or worth the money. Complete rip off and to top it all off theyre out of 2 desserts because they have no microwave??!! I guess thats fine if youre over 60 and have money to burn, but id rather go someplace that has legit food, no microwave, and guests. Other guests wouldve been nice. Worst friday night dinner ive ever had.
Very nice and friendly bartender. Unfortunately they have a very small menu and were out of their signature crab cakes and only one other seafood option on the menu. A wasted trip.
I'm going to chalk it up to setting high expectations. The goat cheese mousse was the only saving grace of the $18 cheese board with bland chedder, pepper jack, Swiss and Gouda, cheeses you can pick up at a QT. There are so many high quality cheeses that would make a true restaurant quality cheese board.
First & last dining experience at Michaels Cuisine Restaurant & Bar……Ordered beef tenderloin “medium” and it was served “raw” in the center….I sent it back with a suggestion that they butterfly cook it. It came back warmer but still very raw in the middle. I sent it back a second time, and it came back well done….so much for a $32 steak served in a dining space with TVs on the wall, bare concrete floors, & no tablecloths (zero ambiance in this place). All of this hassle without as much as a comped drink ($15 for a “house” wine) or a comped dessert. The twice-baked potato was soupy and way too blue-cheesy. Green beans & carrots were overcooked (crinkled & shrunk). Dining partner’s halibut was reported as good. We will not return to this restaurant. There are many other restaurants in this area that are similarly priced and SO MUCH BETTER in EVERY way. (4/28/19)
Starting out we walked in and waited several minutes for a host. All the tables have signs saying reserved but there were a total of 3 being used. Got seated hubby ordered a old fashion from the bar. It wasn't properly made. We ordered the quail appetizer and the shrimp appetizer. When they finally arrived they were horrible. The shrimp was so bad I had to spit it into my napkin from fear of getting sick. Hubby had two bites of the quail and was done because it was too chewy and flavorless. The service was extremely slow with how few people were in the restaurant. We decided to skip dinner there and go to American revelry where we know we will get great service and food to complete our date night meal.
