Beautiful restaurant really aesthetic, you order online and the food came really quickly and it was some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. Highly recommed the crispy lemongrass chicken. The pho was also pretty good as well as the beef. The parking is somewhat of a nightmare on the weekends, but also pretty good and worth the insane parking.
This place is truly amazing to its name. Great food, ambience and service. I tried Veg Soup with Garlic noodles and Lemongrass chicken. Both tasted great and kids loved it too.
The vegan Thai tea was tasty, not too sweet. Beef pho really hit the spot. The curry dishes were the best! I'll have to try out the other curry next time. The atmosphere here was really relaxing, the menu is a bit of a mix between Viet, Indian, and a little bit of Japanese cuisine? all of it was delicious!
They have boat noodle soup hell ya! Pad thai, with lemon grass chicken sounded weird, nope amazing, pork chop was beyond tender and juicy, papaya salad good could be more spicy but flavors tasty, man I can't complain this will be one of my new fav local spots
We were here at Amazing Basil place for an early dinner with family. I was told the service could be delayed but the food is great. When I entered this restaurant the place was already packed and we were waiting when one of the staff told us to write our name on the list and as soon as we did within a few minutes we were seated and water was served. There's a QR code where you can find the menu and order online and one by one the dishes are brought to your table. I was amazed that they have a notice at the entrance which says they are short of staff and hence there might be a delay in service. At least they set the expectation right at the door. Anyhow, I ordered the boat noodle soup which has all the seafood in it and the sauce is so delicious with thin rice noodles and we also ordered Bun Bo Hue soup too which had steak, beef, and sausages. I loved the boat noodle soup the most. We also ordered appetizers such as fried jumbo squid legs and homemade Garlic bread which is really crunchy and tasty. We also ordered crispy chicken with sauce. I loved the chicken and their sauce it was tangy spicy and sweet in between. For drinks we ordered Mango Mojito and Sugarcane juice. All in all it was a delicious experience, the taste is such that you don't want to stop even when your stomach is full. Even though there was so much rush on a Friday evening still the service was great, the staff was polite, helpful and courteous. I would like to go again and try other items from their menu. Highly recommended as they do have vegetarian options too so give it a try! Their ambience is beautiful with decorations and it seems one can use it as a photo booth where pictures were taken because of the beautiful background of lush green plants and spring flowers.
During my six week long business trip I came back here every week. I always appreciated the quality and variety of their food. The portions were always generous for the reasonable price. They have an entire second listing for their drink business called, "A Cup Of" which has dozens of delicious drinks. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming, and the service is always friendly. I had a great experience there and I highly recommend it.
I love the Laksa Noodle Soup here! Incredibly creamy and flavorful broth. Soooo addicting. It balanced well with the lemongrass chicken. Perfectly tender and well flavored. I highly recommend this dish! Chase it down with some sugarcane juice since it contrasts the rich laksa broth. My boyfriend got the Grilled 5 Spice Pork Chop Rice Plate, which was really good too! The pork was thinky sliced and tender. Well seasoned! It came with rice and salad. The egg roll wasn't my favorite though.
Came for Saturday lunch and it was very crowded but we got seated right away. Ordering is all done through a QR code, which made ordering easy. We tried the vegan Thai tea, crispy eggplant strips, vegan basil beef rice, and vegan chili shrimp salad. The eggplant was the best dish we had! The basil beef was flavorful but a bit pricey, and the shrimp salad had good spice but the shrimp itself was bland. The Thai tea was sweet and refreshing, and was an amazing value. The vibe is cozy and tropical with lots of greenery, energetic but not overwhelming. Parking is a bit of a headache since the lot fills up fast. Overall, I’d definitely come back and try more dishes!

We had our company lunch at this place, and everyone loved the food. The vegan noodle laska is really good. You can ask for making it spicy. The vegan chicken that was made with jack fruit was an interesting pick, and the basil fries + sweet potato fries were the choices for vegeterian starters. The place has a really good vibe, decorated with flowers and lights. I would surely recommend this place! Folks at our company also enjoyed their bone marrow and popcorn chicken.
Total Score: 8.44 Bathroom: N/A Didn’t use bathroom Customer Service: 4/5 Very nice and refilled our waters Ambiance: 4.5/5 Very pretty flowerssss Food: 4.5/5 Everything was delicious! Great comfort food. Only complaint was the basil was too bitter Wow: 0.5/1 Lovely flowers Total Score = (CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW)/0.9
Food is really good especially the garlic noodles. However I had a bad experience with one of the staff. She seemed super inattentive and ignored me twice while I raised my hand to ask for help. Other staffs were nice though. I will go again for the food but hopefully not encountering the same staff.
Finally stopped in for dinner. The premium bbq combo was good as usual. The softshell crab curry bread bowl was only ok...can't recall if I ordered non spicy or not. This menu item should come with Singaporean spicy sauce instead. Forgot photos. Very interesting milk tea drink choices. Tried the noodle dishes a few times before and they were all good. Can't wait to try the new menu items next time as this place is now open for dinner. Fun decorations provide plenty of selfie opportunities. Nice and friendly staff.
We've been endeavoring to reach this destination and at last, we succeeded. The place offers comfortable seating and ample parking; however, securing a spot on weekends or during lunchtime can be a bit challenging due to the numerous surrounding shops. The Thai iced tea was delightful, and the Roti curry was exceptionally delicious, boasting a unique flavor compared to other places. The papaya salad left us in awe, and the salt and pepper tofu was both crispy and flavorful. The vegetable noodle soup was also quite tasty. They offer an extensive array of intriguing menu items, making us eager to return for more. Without a doubt, we highly recommend this place
Updated review with more items tried. Really good portioning for price. It's a cute restaurant. Taste: - roti with coconut curry dip: 5/5 (not pictured) - lemongrass CRISPY chicken: 4/5 - satay beef rice: 5/5 - lemongrass GRILLED chicken with egg and rice (pictured): 3.5/5 - Would visit again.
Everything was good in terms of service and atmosphere. The place is well decorated and had a lovely touch to it. The staff there were kind, respectful, and got us our food in a timely manner. I was half heartedly disappointed at my food as the noodle seemed way too soft and soggy. My partner said her soup tasted a bit bland. Overall it was just the food that disappoint me. Other than that it was a good place to go to and have lunch/dinner out with someone.
This restaurant is described as a fusion of Vietnamese and Thai cuisines. It has a pleasant ambiance, highlighted by a floral wall that’s popular for photo ops. We ordered the Salted Egg Yolk Fried Rice, Mango Mojito, Whole Beef Bone Marrow with Toast, and Grilled Fatty Pork Shoulder. The presentation was impressive, and everything tasted delicious. Overall, it was a nice experience — we’d consider coming back to try more dishes from the menu.
I am definitely happy that I get to come experienced this beautiful Amazing Basil Restaurant!!! This place offers some of my favorite Vietnamese and Thai Flavors with some unique items on their simple menu. We ordered Beef Pad Thai, Basil Squid, Shrimp Papaya Salad, and Basil Steamed Clams. Our Drinks was absolutely Refreshing and I love the wonderful aroma that comes with it!!! The best thing here for us was the beautiful, Pleasant, and Awesome Decorations inside this restaurant. Definitely Creative and Charming!!! Next time I want to try the Duck Boat Noodle Soup or Vietnamese Spicy beef Noodle here. 🌹🌹🌹December04,2024🌹🌹🌹🌹
This SEA-fusion (VN, SG, MY, TH) restaurant has a ton of selection available for dine-in, takeout, and delivery. They're working with A Cup Of to also serve boba. Arriving for weekend lunch, we had little wait for a party of 2. The interior is spacious and fragrant. Ended up ordering the sizzling Premium BBQ Combo (B10) which I thought could use more flavor, but it came with a variety of meat and veg (and pineapple slice) which were fresh and filling. My partner got the laksa (N8) and the portion was also large. Service/parking was fine and I'd return in the future to try out other items.

Overall the food is ok. The fried squid was really good. The bone marrow was a bit too oily. The papaya salad unfortunately didn’t have enough flavor.
First of all none of the servers here had any smile on their face and hence I would say we didn’t like this place from service stand point. The place is no doubts beautifully set. For the food we ordered 4 items along with a drink. — crispy lemongrass tofu - it was too sweet for our pallet but was good if you like the sweet sauce. — crispy eggplant - it was really delicious but the ketchup on the top was so overpowering and it was so much. I personally do not like ketchup and would have appreciated if it was on the side instead. — spring rolls - they were tasty but I have had less oily rolls than the ones here. — chicken lemongrass laksa noodle soup - it was good but a little spicy. If you like spicy it’s good to try.
We went in for lunch as the menu seemed interesting. We had to order through a QR code, so even if we had questions regarding anything in the menu,we were left with the game of guessing. I ordered the sugarcane juice, hoping it would be fresh but found out later, it's not. It did have a tea like after taste. I had the Lemongrass chicken noodle soup which was plain and okay. We also had a chicken curry which was again with a strong taste that we are are not a fan of. We got basil popcorn chicken to go and it was super salty. So overall, it's a miss for me. The restaurant is cute but not going back again.
Food, drinks & boba were great, and the ambience was super cozy and welcoming. Customer service though was pretty much nonexistent. Ordering through the QR code was fine, but several items took a long time and needed multiple follow-ups. It was also really hard to get anyone’s attention and we had to literally get up and go to the counter to get help. Enjoyed the food and vibe, but the experience would’ve been much better with more attentive service.
The restaurant is located in a plaza, so parking was easy with plenty of spots available. The interior was really nice, with lots of floral designs that gave it a cozy, pretty vibe. We ordered a bunch of dishes, from appetizers to mains—pineapple fried rice with shrimp, homemade garlic bread, whole beef bone marrow with toast, fried squid legs, and lemongrass chicken noodles. The homemade garlic bread was way too hard, which was really disappointing—I was expecting something softer and fresh. The rest of the food was alright, but nothing amazing. The bone marrow had a weird smell too, and it wasn’t the toast—it seemed to be coming from the bone itself. It was my first time here, but I don’t think I’d come back.

Amazing Basil is a Vietnamese and Thai restaurant. We both ordered the beef pho. We came here after an appointment and were looking for a nearby restaurant so we could eat quickly and make it to our next appointment. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. The pho took a very long time to come out, which was surprising since pho is usually served fairly quickly at most Vietnamese restaurants. The staff was okay, but the overall experience was disappointing. The restaurant had a strong chemical smell, similar to Windex, which made it uncomfortable to sit and eat. The pho itself was only okay, nothing memorable. Overall, the long wait time, the chemical smell, and average food took away from the experience.
The food was pretty good but the service was really terrible. They should be embarrassed for asking for such a high tip percentage. I ordered my own food through the QR code, I poured my own water, they didn't check on me even once. And I paid the bill upfront. And of course the tip was calculated on top of the tax and started at 18%. Just really bad.
If you're looking for a one-stop-shop for all Southeast Asian cravings in Fremont, this is probably a solid choice. The menu coverage is huge! I found that the "industrial-proof" dishes (you know what I mean) are the way to go here, though. The Calamari was exactly what you'd expect -- reliable and crispy. The Roti and Laksa also didn't disappoint us. On the flip side, the Pad Thai felt a bit too "Americanized". Interesting note: the Chinese on the receipt suggests the management/staffs might be more Pan-Asian/Chinese-heritage rather than Thai/Vietnamese-specific, which explains why the "Fusion" dishes felt more natural than the "Traditional" ones. Stick to the "industrial-proof" appetizers here, and you're golden.

Amazing Basil has a very nice restaurant and the food is quantity and quality is good for the price and has an extensive menu with vegan options. All the menu items have pictures and there is ample parking. On paper, this restaurant seems like a great place to grab a bite with a group of people. My biggest issue is the the service is the most abysmal I have ever seen. For our group of six people, it took 35 minutes for all out entres to come out. The first dish came out, then the second a minute late, then the third 10 minutes after that. The fourth came out another 10 minutes, the fifth came out after another 10 minutes and the final one came out after another 5 minutes. Throughout the 35 minutes we saw probably 30 to 40 dishes come out. Clearly the electronic ordering system is completely broken and doesn't prioritize completing an entire tables order. We contacted 4 different severs to ask to status of the food. Two of them just went up to the desk to look at a computer and never came back. One went up to look at the computer and came back to say it was "in progress". The last went up and came back with a dish and said nothing more. It's quite clear the servers have no way to communicate with chefs and that the electronic ordering system is broken and cannot be overridden. Avoid this place at all costs if you have a large party. My second issue is that dishes should not be served with plastic containers. My dish came with sauces in plastic containers and it's really just a waste for when you're dining in. Please use soy sauce dishes or something dinner as it's a extremely infuriating use of plastics. My third issue was that everything on my plate was warm except for the egg. The egg was cold so I also have concerns about the food prep as well.
2.5 Stars Amazing Basil Amazing Basil has a beautifully decorated, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. The service was friendly, which made for a pleasant dining experience. However, the food quality did not match the inviting ambiance. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside, but the vegetable filling was mushy and lacked freshness, making it difficult to enjoy. The Vietnamese rice noodles were overcooked, too soft, and broke apart easily, and the dish could have used more meat for better balance. The curry chicken rice had good flavor but felt unsatisfying due to its small portion size. We were still hungry for more. Overall, the portions could be more generous to ensure a fulfilling meal. With such a beautiful setting, we would love to return, hoping the food improves to match the restaurant’s atmosphere.

Found a small fly in the beef soup. Told them. They only offered a new one, not mentioning at least a free new one as a real apology, not about money, but the sincerity. Did not take new one. Moreover, there were two bigger clean house flying in front of our table. Told the staff. Just wave hands and nothing more to at least clean them. The two came back shortly. Food was actually okay. But the flying there the service kinda of concern me.
They use a self-ordering system, so I put my allergen info in the "special instructions". They didn't read it. Pho shouldn't have furikake on it, in this case, canned crispy onion. They added it, making it poison. I sent it back. They brought back the same bowl with the toppings scooped off, but not even a good job of it. There was still poison in my bowl. Violating food safety regulations, even when they said they were "remaking" it. So cheap.
Called to ask for a receipt from only a month ago, whoever answered did not really want to help. Whatever, I can still speak about the food. The crab drip was very oily and pretty disgusting and the plate I got was also pretty bland and dry. Service was unfriendly, they did not seem like they cared.
