Best BBQ in town by far. It’s my first time to Hutchins after much positive feedback that I have heard. It has a nice Texan atmosphere and you smell the smoke from the parking lot and start feeling hungry no matter what. I tried the Prime Brisket and Turkey and both were tender and tasted wonderful. The sides are delicious as well and I liked the open buffet setup. For dine in there’s complimentary desert of Peach Cobbler with ice cream or Banana Pudding. I love the mix of the warm Peach Cobbler and ice cream and tried a piece of the Banana Pudding. Always plan to keep space for the dessert you will never regret it.

Phenomenal place. Be prepared to wait, it is Texas barbeque after all, and your stomach will thank you. Save room for dessert!

Great bbq, the brisket was amazing! I ordered to much that I have left over for days. Be ready to wait in line however is worth it!

The food was so good! Third time visiting and their food is always consistent. Be sure to ask for the fatty brisket unless you’d rather not. Also the Texas Twinkies are a trademark and belong in the food hall of fame. Best of all, the service from Liz and Christina was awesome! They were so sweet and attentive to us Definitely made a great impression on my wife for which it was her first visit here. Definitely returning

I have been in Dallas for a little over 4 years. Whenever I have guests visiting Dallas, Hutchins BBQ is a must. Absolutely delicious food and great service! Just a heads up, there is usually a line out the door.

Came from California to visit and my sister took me here to eat BBQ it was super good I loved the Texas twinkie broccoli salad good too Mac and cheese brisket etc I can go forever lol over all I loved the food and to end it I asked one of the workers what was the best dessert because there's free dessert once you're done eating and he recommended the peach cobbler and ice cream on top it was delicious I had to go for seconds lol would love to come here again the way they seat u was cool the line looked long but in my opinion went by pretty quick.

A huge shout-out to Omega at Hutchins BBQ in Frisco for taking such great care of the Mustang basketball team. We came in hopeful that your location would be able to help us feed the team, and you and your staff went above and beyond every expectation. All of the boys left with full bellies and happy hearts. You made it feel like home for us—welcoming, warm, and truly taken care of. Having someone check on us throughout the meal to ensure we had the best experience meant more than you know. When we’re back in the area, we’ll absolutely be stopping by again, and we’ll be sure to let everyone know that this is the place to be. Thank you for your hospitality, your kindness, and your outstanding service. God bless you all! 🙏🏽

I don't give 5 stars all across to just any place. This place deserves them. I really enjoyed everything. The only problem is the line but it was worth the wait. I've been here 2 times drove 30 miles to get here and even that was worth it. If you were thinking of visiting do it. It's a bit higher on the price side but wow worth it again.

I love this barbecue spot, they cook everything Texas-style in a wood-burning oven, and you can smell that smoky goodness from a distance. It’s mouthwatering even before you step inside. The sides are amazing,I had the creamy corn and fries, both delicious. They also offer free bread and desserts, which is such a treat. I tried all the desserts, including the peach cobbler and banana pudding, and they were good. We ordered the Texas Twinkies (so flavorful!), along with sausages, ribs, and chicken—everything was cooked well. The staff are super friendly and helpful. If you want to sample a bit of everything, they offer small portions so you can try more dishes. Shoutout to our server, Arlene, she was so kind, personable, and even helped us set up the table. I’ll definitely be coming back. If you want a true Texas barbecue experience, this is the place to go!

Absolutely amazing BBQ and top-notch service! Hutchinson's BBQ is hands-down one of the best spots I've been to. The food is phenomenal—tender brisket, juicy ribs, and sides that taste homemade. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. What really stood out, though, was the service. Every employee was friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. Special thanks to Roberto, who went above and beyond to make our visit extra special. He was professional, kind, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. If you're anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and stop by Hutchinson's BBQ. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next trip back!

We drove an hour to try out this place. It was worth the drive and time! All the food was delicious, the meats were savory and juice. However what put the cherry on top was Arlet. She was phenomenal, very attentive, pleasant and joyful. Arlet is a true example of Colossians 3:23. Any restaurant can have good food but it’s really the attentiveness of personnel what brings back costumers. Thank you so much Arlet!

Wow, no words. Monday evening the place was packed and rightly so, food was amazing, probably the best BBQ I had in a very long time. Waiting to get the food, line was significant but went really fast.

First time to Hutchinson‘s barbecue, I live in Colorado and tried my first barbecue in Texas. This place is amazing. We got their little after 7:30 PM. Really wanted to try the beef ribs, but was sold out this place is truly Texas barbecue!

Was brought for my birthday and I was impressed. Food was amazing. BEST BBQ in Dallas for sure!! Thank you to Sofia for the awesome customer service and keeping our table a priority.

The food was great but the service was AMAZING from the front end to the back! Arlet & Sofia went above and beyond to make sure our first time here was one to remember and they didn’t even know it was our first. It felt like my grandmother was there the amount of love and help they gave us and asking how we are doing and if we need anything else. We will be returning and bringing our children this was a lunch date lol

This was our first visit. The servers were extremely nice and helpful. The food was delicious. I personally loved the corn. My son said the brisket was amazing and we both liked the Texas twrinkie. But I have to brag on Ms Sofia. our table server/helper was professional, courteous. and made sure we had what we needed. A perfect meal!!

This place blew our minds— from the amazing food to phenomenal team! Everything was so delicious but their beef ribs are a MUST! The staff was so welcoming cheerful, and helpful. Sofia was so attentive and sweet! I would give them more stars if I could!

Took my family who were visiting from out of state and they absolutely loved it! Not only was the food good but the service helpers Liz and Cristina checked on us frequently to clear plates and made sure we were okay. It was a great way to send my family off. We’ll definitely be back.

First time ever going, they open at 11. We got there at 1120 and they already had a full parking lot and a line out the door. I was thinking man, this will have to be good. The smells leading in was heavenly, making my mouth water with anticipation. Of course I had to have the brisket and pork ribs. Best damn brisket I have had in a very long time. Each bite was an adventure for my taste buds. The pork ribs were amazing also. The sides were very flavorful. Exceptional food, can't wait to go back. Highly recommend

Incredible service by Arelt and Sofia and the best BBQ we’ve ever had! We arrived 20 minutes prior to opening snd were first in line. The line quickly grew but they’re so quick. Not sure why folks are saying it’s expensive because their prices are lower than their competitors. Trust me and just come!

C

I was suggested to come here by a dude perfect employee and I am so glad my siblings and I ended going! Next to the best bbq I ate in texas, also dessert is free, if you dine in! The only thing i'd change is, it was a little pricey, but id totally go again!

Best BBQ i have had hands down! I am not a fan of cafeteria type of restaurant. However, this style fits the pit BBQ atmosphere. I would highly recommend that you try out this place if you want to try BBQ.

The BEST brisket I’ve ever had. The cutters and line employees were so kind, bubbly, and eager to have a conversation! Great service, great food.

My introduction to Texas bbq was top notch thanks to Hutchins bbq. Heard about it from several people as a good spot to eat bbq. We had a large group and all shared several items. The brisket and pulled pork super good. Chicken was tasty with good smoke flavor. The Texas twinky is definitely an experience. Sides were yummy, with the slaw being my favorite. Highly recommend!

K
Kawon Johnson

The Texas Twinkies are a hit. I drive 4 hrs from Louisiana to come here for the food. It is a lil on the expensive side, so if you come with family or a large crowd please beware. It is worth the money and I don't mind paying for food no matter the cost if it's really good and they are just that. Will be back very soon, and will come early next time to make sure I can get a good park cause the lines do be long and worth the wait.

Wow — this place was amazing! The food was a 10/10, but the customer service was even better. I’m new to Texas, and everyone here made us feel so welcome. Huge shoutout to Tatum and Nick at the sides bar for being so friendly and giving top-notch service. They really went above and beyond! The BBQ was delicious, and the whole experience was just awesome. Definitely my new favorite spot!

There’s a reason the line is out the door—the food is incredible! The servers were all super helpful (especially with my dairy allergy) and the girls who cleaned up were amazing! Shout out to Cynthia and Stefani!!! They also offered samples while we were waiting in line as well as the best hot chocolate you’ll ever have. Highly recommend!

This was my second visit to Dallas, and I came to this restaurant at a friend’s recommendation. At first, I was surprised by the long line, but it moved faster than expected and the wait was totally fine. The menu recommendations were spot on, and the food was excellent. Despite the hot weather, the inside was very comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly, which made the whole dining experience even better. The meat had no unpleasant smell, was very tender, and not overly salty — a place I’d recommend to anyone, young or old.

T
Tatiana Maskaron

Hands down the best BBQ in Texas. The meats are incredible — you actually see them cut right in front of you, so you know you’re getting exactly what you want. Everything is cooked to perfection, and the peach cobbler (included!) is to die for. My kids love going for the ice cream while we load up on our favorite sides: beans, fries, coleslaw, and creamy corn. Beyond the food, Hutchins has become a place where our family makes memories. Big tables, true Texas vibe, spotless clean, and fast, friendly service. The guys at the counter are always hustling, and it makes the whole experience feel alive. Every visit feels special, and that’s why we keep coming back. ❤️

What a great spot! We came here while traveling to Dallas. The line was long but it moved super fast. I love that they let us sample the meats before we ordered. The short rib was probably the best meat I’ve ever had. All the sides were delicious too. Every staff member said hello and engaged in brief conversation to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Ended the meal with free dessert bar and signing our names on the wall. 10/10 recommendation this place!

My husband and I dined in at Hutchins BBQ, as we usually do. We were welcomed by all the staff and greeted with such familiarity. The food is always great, but today really stood out. As we took our seats we were greeted by a staff member named Sofia, who took exceptional care of us. Her service was impeccable! We can’t wait to come back. :)

J

I went here with two of my friends and the food was absolutely delicious! It was my friends' first time trying Texas BBQ, and I'm glad I took them here at Hutchins. One of my friend even has allergies to all kinds of nuts and dairy (including eggs), but we were pleasantly surprised to find that she could still eat most of the meat options and the fries. The brisket and the original sausage were my personal favorites. Lastly, the banana pudding dessert was gas, and I highly recommend it to finish off your meal. Seating was easy to find, and the noise is moderately loud.

G
Gee Alexander

Sofia our server was great! The Gentlemen behind the counter cutting the meat were awesome with great personalities and made you feel welcomed. The food was delicious! This is my second time visiting Texas and I made it my business to visit Hutchins this time as well. As #lesbbq would say it is Texas in every way! Great food and good atmosphere!

J
J M (Texas Foodie)

Expensive but worth it. I paid $40 for 4 ribs, 1 slice of brisket and 2 sides. The brisket was heavenly and I will come back to get it. I didn’t get the moist, which for me is a little too fatty at most places. That said, at places like Rudy’s their normal brisket is dry. The regular brisket at Hutchins is PERFECT. it doesn’t even need sauce it is so delicious. The ribs were good but I’ve have just as good at other places. The sides were spectacular. The green beans were fresh and perfectly seasoned. The fried okra was the BEST I’ve ever had. The only downside were the free deserts. The cobbler was all crust and the banana pudding was just pudding and hard / dry mills wafers. I must say the guys who work on the food line are super friendly and helpful.

Where do I start?! AMAZING!!!!!!!!🤩 Worth all the $150+ dollars that we spent! And I mean that with all my heart! St. Louis ribs that were seasoned perfectly with an added element of sweetness on the outside. Brisket, tender and melting in your mouth like butter. Potato salad made PERFECTLY! Mac & cheese creamy and seasoned so well. Texas Twinkies living up to their name, definitely big back behavior! Sweet tea taste like I was back in Louisiana! Wish we would've just got EVERYTHING!!! Pictures online don't do this food any justice! HUTCHINS GOT GOOD BBQ!!!!!! 😮‍💨🤤 Service was 11 out of 10, everyone on the line was so knowledgeable and confident about the menu! Other customers were so kind, even though it was packed in there, it was like everybody was a big ol' family, watching out for each other and letting everybody get by. No one was rushing or being rude, and that felt good. Only thing that could use a little help is the desserts, but this is not a dessert shop, it's a barbecue joint! But if y'all ever want some help with your desserts, hit me up at @houseofyummynade (Instagram) and It's Yummynade (Facebook)! From decades old family recipes for banana pudding, butter pound cake, and many other southern delights, we could be the icing on your cake, quite literally! Other than that, we will definitely be back for more great barbecue!

I live pretty far so I had to try all the meat, and man, let me tell you, they were all great! The food and staff were super welcoming. Yes, it is expensive, but definitely worth it. My favorite was the giant beef ribs and chopped brisket, but everything else was really tasty as well.

M

Absolutely amazing food and services. The brisket and ribs were phenomenal and the desserts were out of this world. I am coming from the north and arlet made me feel like a cowgirl! So thankful will be back.

Food is excellent. I got a potato filled with pulled pork and a side of mac and cheese. Portion sizes were good for the price and the Mac was to die for. Excellent creamy cheese flavor. The line was pretty long when I got there but it moved quickly.

Probably all around the best barbecue I've had. I've had barbecue all across this country and this place definitely ranks highly amongst the very best. A nice smoky smell the very moment you walk in the restaurant (which I appreciate) and the food does not disappoint at all. This was my first time trying a Texas Twinkie and, oh my, that was phenominal! The brisket had a fantastic flavor and was juicy and a great smoke ring and didn't even need sauce because the flavor was throughout. I only added sauce because I wanted to try it. The St. Louis style ribs were also very, very good! Smoky and tender, the bone came out clean. As far as the sides go, the beans were delicious as were the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. This place is very good. 10/10, I will definitely be back the next time I am in the area.

B
Benjamin L.

This place is absolutely awesome! The meat is super flavorful and juicy. It is a little pricy but so worth every penny! They have a very wide variety and things for the pickiest kids. That have Mac and cheese, beans, fries, etc. One big perk for the kids is UNLIMITED DESSERT! They have soft serve machines, banana pudding, and peach cobbler. Highly recommend this place!

A
Aman Agarwal

Best BBQ I've ever had. Everything was so tender and even being someone who doesn't love red meat and beef this was so good I ate so much. The brisket and turkey was so tender it was so good I couldn't stop eating. The meat was so good and the sides were also equally as good. They say judge a bbq place by its sides and this place doesn't play with the sides. THE PEACH COBBLER DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED. that peach cobbler. I ate 3 bowls of it after eating a whole pound of meat and sides. That was so good. Best part of the meal. But the meat was also really good. 9/10. Service was great too. They were always checking in if we needed anything. Sofia was very attentive and gave us tips like putting ice cream on the cobbler which was a definite must try. Service was impeccable for how packed it was and making us feel like we were still being taken care of. At the height of dinner rush on a Sunday. Lines moved quick. We got our food in 15-20 minutes after getting to the restaurant. Worth every minute of the wait. Must try if you're in DFW.

This the absolute best of the best BBQ in the area. Our out of town guests visiting Texas thoroughly enjoyed. We had to play a hour of mini-golf to feel better, you will be so full you won’t even realize until after :) 🍗🍖

The smell as you walk up gets you ready to taste some yumminess The portions are great the at home feeling makes it way better and everyone is so welcoming. Everything was cooked to perfection and had so much flavor and juiciness to each bite We had the brisket, sausage Texas twinkies, ribs our sides were Mac and cheese, broccoli salad, beans but the corn 🤗🤗🤗was the best side in my opinion The unlimited dessert topped it too my fav was the banana pudding ✨

This place is simply amazing. My favorite BBQ in the states, and I've been to many famous BBQ spots across the country. Those twinkies are something special! Cynthia was on top of everything with her friendly service she gave. I love this place

My second time here in 3 years. More delicious than I remember. This will be our must have BBQ place when we visit the DFW area from OK. We shared fatty brisket, turkey, pork ribs, Texas Twinkie, and jalapeno cheddar smoked sausage. Got green beans and potato casserole for the sides. Enough leftovers for supper. Enjoyed the pickled onions, peppers and pickles from the self serve area. Complimentary desserts of banana pudding and peach cobbler with ice cream were great ways to complete a wonderful lunch experience.

Never disappoints! We come from San Antonio just for the twinkies. We eat alot of BBQ and at the top 20 in Texas and this is my personal favorite. This isn't "tex mex" bbq it's traditional bbq and at its best. The brisket is amazing the chicken is so flavorful. Great Tea and amazing desserts. The corn is my favorite side. So many great options here. Worth the wait! Patrons here are so friendly, always good at sharing tables and stories. We always meet nice people and talk BBQ and sports.

This is the pinnacle. This is apex BBQ. I've been to all the best and Hutchins is the best of the best. The beef rib is an experience! Service was friendly, welcoming, a d helpful from the second we walked in. Real BBQ joint feel, and the BBQ itself is beyond comparison. Plus, free all-you-can-eat delicious dessert! Nothing like it!

I’m from Houston, my family and I were in Dallas for the weekend due to a tournament my kids had there. My 9yr old son wanted BBQ so my husband looked and searched for a spot that was GOOD. He came across this place so we wanted to see what the hype was about and my goodness was it everything everyone said it was! The southern hospitality, the atmosphere, the customer service and interactions, and the food makes this place SOOOO MUCH better. It’s worth every dollar spent! We’ll definitely keep going back here every time we’re in Dallas we loved it that much! PS: the long line is WORTH THE WAIT!

Amazing service with amazing food. I ordered the brisket, pork ribs, creamed corn, & Texas Twinkie. Everyone was super patient as I was trying to decide what I wanted, I even got to sample the brisket before I committed. Very flavorful and melted in my mouth. The ribs were my favorite, sweet & tangy as well as tender. Creamed corn, my favorite Texan side. I've tried to make this at home but have never been able to get the taste right. Texas really knows how to do it. The Texas twinkie is a jalapeno stuffed with brisket & cream cheese and then wrapped in bacon. Great combo, wish it was spicy though. If you dine in, you get access to their desserts (AYCE). Banana pudding, peach cobbler, soft serve vanilla. All were delicious, especially the banana pudding. I actually think this is the best banana pudding I've ever had. This I've made at home and have always liked mine versus other bakeries/restaurants I've tried, but at Hutchins' it's much better. Overall really good experience. This is a must go.

Honestly, I think Hutchins is the best BBQ in America. I’ve been to the famous spots—Arnold’s in Nashville, Cozy Corner in Memphis, Snow’s and Franklin’s down in Austin, Joe’s Kansas City… all legendary in their own right. It’s the flavor and the fire at Hutchins that keep me coming back. Don’t mean no disrespect, but Dallas takes this one. 🤠

M
Montien

Delicious does not come close to describe the palate pleasing scrumptiousness of Hutchins Barbecue. When you go there pack your patience because there will be a line. However they will not disappoint with the brisket so tender you can cut it with a spoon, tasty pork ribs, beef ribs looking like it came from dinosaurs, and hospitality that will make you come back for more! My first visit will not be my last! Outstanding!!

Oh my Holy BBQ God’s, Hutchins BBQ is my #1 BEST bbq place I’ve ever eaten at. The hubby and I have been to many, and my all time favorite has always been Franklin’s and LA’s bbq, but Hutchins is by far my favorite. The line was long on a Saturday evening, but it was so worth it. It is great they have so many smokers and warmers to have enough for everyone until closing time, and that we don’t wait in line and they run out and we get sent home without bbq. The best part was the bbq, no their free warm peach cobbler, no their free banana pudding, it was all the BEST! The Texas Twinkie is to die for, I have never had one and it was DELICIOUS. Oh, they also have real bacon bits to put in your potatoe, not that imitation stuff. You can sit outside, and there is alot of seating inside. Take a marker if you want to write on their wall and leave your mark. Loved it all! Will be coming back again. Thank you to everyone who was kind to us being our first time.

The best BBQ, Ive ever had. There is a line so be prepared to wait. The lone goes pretty quick. While we were waiting some of the staff came out with samples. We got to try the Frito Pie sausage. So good. When we got up to order our meats the server gave us a sample of Wagyu Pastrami and the Beef Rib. Delicious. Everyone who worked there was so friendly and accommodating they gave us excellent recommendations. And don’t forget the complimentary peach cobbler when you dine in! Everything was a 10/10

Reviews definitely meet our standards as well. Food was delicious and fresh. Beef rib, twinkies, and jalapeños cheddar sausage are my favorite. Our buser Sofia was super attentive and answered all our questions, since it was our first time coming. Will be coming back soon when in town. ☺️🤍

The smell of smoked meat was enchanting for at least one block surrounding the place. The line was ridiculously long so we used the walk in take out line. I didn't use the bathroom but everything seemed clean. Service was swift and pleasant. The prices are high but the quality of food unmatched, so it's worth it. We got brisket, turkey, as chicken, and some ends as well as creamed corn, beans, broccoli salad, and Mac n cheese. All the sides were tastey. The brisket was unbelievable! The poultry good but I would stick with the beef next time, simply because it was unreal while the poultry was ok for my preference. Thank you!

Arlet was so helpful and made the whole experience even better. She was so attentive and I saw her walking around helping other guests as well. She offered us bread, pickles/onions, to go boxes, and banana pudding! She is a gem. Great food as always. Thank you Arlet!

Staff was awesome! Food was good. A bit greasy but delicious. We got there for lunch and there was a line but it moved pretty quick. I'd definitely eat there again. We tried the brisket, original sausage and texas twinkle. For the sides we got loaded mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The banana pudding was scrumptious!! Ice cream machine was down so didn't get to try that with the cobbler but it was still all soo yummy!

Hutchins BBQ – Frisco (North Dallas, Texas) Highly recommended by many friends, Hutchins BBQ was a must-visit on my trip to Dallas. I drove north through the city to Frisco, and the moment I arrived, I knew this place was special. The restaurant sits in a large house-style building, with multiple offset smokers right at the entrance. The rising smoke and irresistible aroma alone are enough to pull everyone inside. Honestly, a pit tour here would be fascinating—watching raw meat transform into legendary Texas BBQ up close. The ordering process follows a cafeteria-style setup. You order at the counter, choosing your proteins from a large menu board. Meats are priced by the pound, which allows you to talk directly with the staff and order exactly how much you want. The team patiently walked me through their highlights: sliced or chopped brisket, pulled pork, beef ribs, St. Louis–style pork ribs, several sausage options (Original, Jalapeño Cheddar, and Texas Hot Links on weekends), plus turkey and chicken. A heads-up: beef ribs are extremely popular and often sell out, especially later in the day—arriving early is strongly recommended. On weekends, they sometimes offer special items like Wagyu, which makes the trip even more worthwhile. Once you choose, the staff pulls the meat straight from the smoker, slices it fresh, and weighs it on the spot with impressive precision. Next comes the sides station, featuring options like loaded baked potatoes, pinto beans, potato casserole, green beans, mac & cheese, creamed corn, coleslaw, potato salad, and broccoli salad, followed by drinks and beverages. What We Ordered Sliced Brisket – Perfectly tender with a great balance between lean meat and rendered fat. A true Texas classic done right. Pork Ribs – Fully cooked, juicy, and easy to pull cleanly off the bone. Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage – Packed with melted cheese; the jalapeño flavor was a bit mild, but still satisfying. Green Beans & Broccoli Salad – Solid, well-balanced sides. Mac & Cheese – Very rich and creamy, perhaps a bit too heavy for some tastes. The Extras One of the highlights is the self-serve dessert station, featuring banana pudding, cream pudding, and vanilla ice cream. It almost feels like an AYCE dessert bar—perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth. They also provide unlimited sliced lemons near the fountain drinks, ideal for making fresh lemon water or iced tea. Atmosphere & Details The interior is filled with hand-painted artwork and messages from past customers — on walls, tables, chairs, lamps, and more. It creates a unique, personal atmosphere, making you feel like you’re becoming part of Hutchins’ long history. Even the restrooms are labeled “Cowboy” and “Cowgirl”, adding a fun Texas touch. Final Thoughts Great food, friendly and professional staff, and a lively, authentic Texas BBQ atmosphere make Hutchins BBQ well worth the drive. Just be prepared for long lines and possible beef rib shortages—coming early is the smartest move. I’ll definitely be back, especially for those legendary beef ribs. 🔥🍖

Absolutely amazing people for 1st comers! Very welcoming and helped us pick the top favorites! Never had a better rib in my life! Sides are amazing 🤤 and the banana pudding! My goodness, when we travel back to TX this will definitely be a staple stop!

The food is really good, especially the grill sauce with the meat, love it. Got really nice service from Arlet!! She’s quite thoughtful and hardworking! I came here the first time and she helped out with the “service yourself” part, kindly introduced me the pickles, bread, desserts and helped to serve to my table! Appreciated the good service she brought to me!!

Just go eat here!!!!!! I’ve never heard my husband say the food is really good this many times and we’ve been to some really good and even some fancy restaurants in a lot of cities. I gave up eating beef about seven years ago and I literally had to taste the brisket because my husband kept raving. It was delicious.lol Even their turkey and chicken were so amazing. The turkey was a super hit with the kids. They had recommended it as apparently it is a staff fave as well. We went to a really good spot in Austin and I have to say Hutchins was much better. We got fries, potato salad, and coleslaw. Every single one of them was freaking delicious. The people there are so amazing. All the men at the smokehouse were so friendly and helped us well as it was our first time trying. They were sold out of their beef ribs by the time we got there. The Texas Twinkie is I must try as well. The peach cobbler was delicious. We are obviously gonna be going back and will bring our friends there as well.

Delicious brisket, sausage, and Mac and cheese! Absolutely love the Texas Twinkie (jalapeño wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese and brisket). Arlet also was wonderful helping bring to go boxes and taking our finished plates!

Five stars does not feel like enough. From the moment I walked in, the air was rich with slow smoked promise. The brisket was tender enough to make you pause mid bite just to appreciate life a little. The ribs were seasoned perfectly, the sides were on point, and everything tasted like it had been cooked with patience and pride. But what truly made this visit unforgettable was our server, Arlet. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. She helped me with recommendations, made sure I had everything I needed, and kept checking on me without ever being intrusive. You can tell when someone actually cares about your experience, and Arlet absolutely did. She made me feel valued, not just served. Great barbecue fills your stomach. Great service sticks with you. I will definitely be back and I will be asking for Arlet by name.

Everything you could hope for, the food, service, and facilities were all perfect for some top notch BBQ! The staff were very kind and polite, made recommendations for what to order, and everyone wore a smile. Sofia came by to check on us often along with friendly chatting. Highly recommend stopping by!

As a local food lover visiting from El Paso (El Chuco), this spot absolutely delivered. I’m a tough critic when it comes to BBQ, and this place exceeded expectations across the board. From the welcoming, attentive service to every bite of the ribs—and even the dessert—everything was on point. This is a true 10/10 with no complaints. The execution, temperature, flavor, and consistency were all exactly where they should be. Please never sacrifice quality or cut corners—what you’re doing works. Frisco truly doesn’t realize what they have here. The Texas Twinkies were incredible and are "big Back activity"—rich, indulgent, and perfectly executed. Hats off to the entire team, from the pit cook who sparked a fun conversation about Chico’s Tacos from El Paso to the friendly staff who offered to-go bags without hesitation. Thank you for an outstanding BBQ experience.

My food was very warm and delicious. I felt very welcomed. When we sat down, we were greeted by Sofia, and she offered to bring us plates or any condiments we needed. She was really amazing and attentive consistently checking up on us!

The BBQ here is magical. Everything from he beef ribs are unbelievable tender and the bark is so flavorful to the brisket. You cannot go wrong, even with any of the sides. The Texas Twinkies are fun and delicious. The free dessert bar is also killer with some great banana pudding and peach cobbler. There is also ice cream. Hutchins BBQ is up there in my top two along with Shed BBQ in MI.

The trick here is...know you'll walk out full. Don't overestimate at the by-weight counter. Having said that, so glad I went. The food was so good, so tasty, so filling. The staff genuinely appears to want to work here. They're having a good time with each other, and with us. The atmosphere is definitely one of fun. Save room for the peach cobbler, and...go ahead and add a little ice cream on top. I saw 3 sauces available original, spicy, and tangy. At our table, the spicy really wasn't. Maybe I missed one, but there's room for a fourth. Either a deep rich sweet or a mustard derivative.

2nd best!!! Did I get your attention? Look, it’s fabulous, really good…service is the best anywhere, the quality is very good, the sides are very good, the atmosphere is great…the only thing, Franklin BBQ makes the best brisket, hands down. Hutchins is fantastic, however it just doesn’t have the same flavoring. It’s very moist, very tender and well cooked, I just feel that Franklin has a better flavor and consistency. The brisket was excellent, the pork ribs were amazingly tender and flavorful as well, the turkey looked a little dry, but wasn’t, it was moist and very flavorful. The twinkies were fantastic…and again, their staff is the best…in a society focused on speed and lacking service, Hutchins has nailed that piece and really makes you feel welcome and appreciated. Hats off to Hutchins…they excel in service and the over all experience. Loved it! Will definitely return!!

Our first time visiting this establishment. OMG! First, the line was long but it moved very fast. Once we got in, the workers were very entertaining and polite. We went in the evening so of course there were no beef ribs or chicken. So we got brisket, turkey, a twinkie (jalapeño stuffed with brisket, cream cheese wrapped in bacon) and pork ribs along with potato salad, green beans and fried okra. All I can say is that it is all good. I’ll make sure to go a lot earlier for the beef ribs and chicken next time.

Great food and great service. We arrived around 7pm on a workday and the line was outside already. The line moved so fast for dine in so it only took around 15ish min to get to the order. All the staffs are super nice and friendly. We had 3 sides and 3 meats -huge portion! Everything tastes so fresh and flavorful. Definitely try the free desert! Peach cobbler with the ice cream is 10/10! Will go back again!

What a cool place! Meats were amazing! I didn't have anything that I didn't like. I highly recommend the Texas Twinkie. Two can be a meal. Definitely need multiple visits, as there are so many delicious choices! Go when you're HUNGRY! We went at dinner rush on a Thursday and waited in line for about 20min, so get there early.

Arrived in the evening and there was a line that ran out the front door. The line was moving at slow but steady pace. As we were waiting free sausage samples were available and they were super tasty. This definitely made the wait more enjoyable. Once in we ordered sliced brisket, sausage, Texas Twinkie. Sides included broccoli salad, Mac&cheese, cream corn, and fried okra. The brisket was cooked perfectly, had a smoky flavor, and was tender. The sausage was deliciously spicy and each bite was surprisingly super tasty. What was super awesome was the Texas Twinkie. All the sides also delivered in flavor and quality. The environment was of a typical bbq place but well organized. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Our experience here was excellent and definitely highly recommended.

The best smoked BBQ on the planet. The brisket is moist and seasoned to perfection. The pork ribs have just the right amount of smoke and pull. Pro tip ask for a bit of glaze for the ribs. The sides are house made and complement the meat in seasoning. My favorites are the mac& cheese and the broccoli salad (don’t knock it until you try it) I don’t eat beans but I’m told the brisket beans are fantastic. If you want to spend a bit more, the beef ribs are the best thing on the menu. Their half chicken is always juicy and full of flavor if you don’t want red meat. Second pro tip, save room for the peach cobbler and banana pudding.

This is, without a doubt, the finest barbecue I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. As a visitor from Peoria, AZ, I was absolutely delighted with my lunch experience. The sandwich, featuring Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage and lean Brisket, was exceptional. The accompanying sides were incredibly delicious, and to top it all off, each meal includes both Peach Cobbler and Banana Pudding! I would like to extend a special thank you to Chris for his wonderful hospitality and kindness towards a hungry traveler. I highly recommend that you do not miss the opportunity to visit this establishment.

This place was amazing. I really loved the food. It is a little pricey and it adds up pretty quick, but it was totally worth it. Everything we had was great. I loved that they include dessert to finish things off. The peach cobbler was incredible. My favorites were the fatty part of the brisket and the jalapeño sausage. The creamy corn dish was also very good. I’d definitely come back the next time I’m in the area.

Hutchins BBQ serves fantastic BBQ. Period. The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is fun and very Texas, and the food is exceptionally good. We visited after the lunch hour on a weekday. The restaurant was still moderately busy. We ordered the pulled pork, Jalapeño cheese sausage, and brisket. We also ordered okra, beans, and potato salad sides. The meats were exquisite. Highly recommend all, especially the Jalapeño cheese sausage. It is not too hot. A nice touch is the free dessert; ice cream, peach cobbler, and banana pudding. I confess I had two helpings of banana pudding. So good! I highly recommend a visit to Hutchins!

It is really tough to put into words this experience. You pull up and the smokers are smoking and the line is starting to form. You get inside and find the most wonderful team and Amazing food. I forgot. We got great samples in like. 3 different sausages to try. Once inside we got the party package for our party of six. The brisket…omg. The Texas twinkee was seriously delicious. The turkey. The coleslaw. All truly amazing. Highly recommend this spot if you are in Frisco area.

My favorite Texas BBQ spot, hands down. I've honestly never had a bad meal here. The best side, IMHO, is the broccoli salad. And save room for dessert (free if dining in), including the peach cobbler and banana pudding. Love this place.

The beef rib was fantastic. It is the best I ever had. We went to Terry Black's the day before and Hutchins beef rib blew it out of the water. It was moist, tender, and juicy. It was really "ono" (delicious). We also had the burnt ends and jalapeño sausage. The sides we had were mac and cheese and green beans. I liked those too. They were all good. I would go back there to dine if I'm ever back in Dallas. I would highly recommend it.

I was taken by a local who claimed it was quite good. He was wrong. It was beyond compare. I thought I had had barbecue, but I was mistaken. This wonderful place has food fit for God. I enjoyed the rapidity of order taking, moving briskly toward getting to the eating, the very pleasant and helpful staff, and the overall atmosphere of confusion yet calm. My only complaint was that there were two different music systems playing. I highly recommend Hutchins to all.

Fabulous lunch! On a Monday already busy. But a few minutes waiting is of course no issue. Visiting from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 Great selection and a lot of appreciation for the cooks and the services. A place to remember being close to Frisco!

I've had BBQ from all over Texas and this is the best! Great lunch with my family for my 41st birthday! Arlet made sure we had everything we needed! Every interaction with the staff was friendly and welcoming! The Twinkies, pork ribs, Mac and cheese and banana pudding were my favorite!

I’ve waited 13 years to try this place and MY GOD! There is NOOOOO better bbq in ALL of Texas. The food was out of this world but the service was 100 times better! Chris and the whole line treated me and my wife like royalty. I felt like PRESCOTT from the Dallas cowboys. They made sure we TRIED everything on the menu and did NOT rush us to get to next person in line. I looked at my ticket and it was priceless. They could’ve charged me $1k and I would’ve still tipped 20% I’m not making this up! Chris had to be a Hutchins himself! The way he represented that legacy and establishment was classy. The Hutchins know what they are doing and it’s not just making money it’s giving customers the best experience that starts with a Texas Twinkie! Ai could never right a review like this. This is from a real satisfied human after visiting Hutchins!

Went with my son and both of us can be big eaters. I originally thought the portion was small for the 2 of us but it was more than enough! Brisket was great, turkey a little dry but what we got was toward the end of the breast. Sides were good. Must try the Texas Twinkie! So good!

Came in with my kids. Restaurant was clean. Few employees we clearing tables. Ordered food for family. Customer service was average. Did not exceeding expections. Food was ok. Brisket and frws little salty for my taste. Food is pricy. If you are an adult and hungry, you will spend $40-$50. Place is overrated but people seem to like it.

Food was delicious and portions are great! I went alone and pigged out.. came out to $56 bucks. I got brisket, cheddar sausage, and Texas Twinkie. That Texas Twinkie was so delicious. Brisket was veryyyyyy dry for me. All of the sides were good too… they let you do halfsies per tray. Save room for the dessert bar. Sweet tea was delicious as well!!

Food is really good! It's busy so tables can be hard to find. Also, lines are long and people ahead of you might only look like a party of 2 until an additional 6 show up and get in line with them! This happened several times so we didn't move very fast. I guess you can't blame the restaurant for rude patrons. The staff was friendly and I like the food better than Terry Blacks.

We’ve had plenty of Austin BBQ so we had to try Dallas’. We took a drive out to Hutchins BBQ to see what all the fuss was about and here’s what we found: The setting: pretty standard, ample parking which is nice. The interior is dimly lit and the line management could be better as it gets a bit cramped in the inside area before you order. They have a bit of outdoor seating so if you have a dog that helps out a bit. The service: very good. From free samples on the line in to friendly cutters and workers happy to take a tray from me, the service was extremely smiley and top notch. True Southern hospitality. From lining up to sitting down with our food took about 30-40 minutes which was a bit of a wait considering we came at 3PM on a Saturday. The food: A bit disappointing. The brisket was oddly tough. You get brisket for the fall apart texture but this just didn’t have that. The flavor was good and the bark was fine but the texture ruined it. The beef rib was much the opposite. Juicy and tender, the beef rib was packed of flavor; the best part of the meal easily. For our side we had the Mac and cheese which was good but nothing we haven’t had before. The bacon in the Mac and cheese was different but nothing that made it memorable. One really fantastic thing is that they offer endless ice cream, peach cobbler, and banana pudding for those who dine in. The peach cobbler was awesome, warm and sweet. The banana pudding was alright, nothing special. We didn’t have the ice cream so we can’t comment on it too much. Overall, Hutchins was a let down. Outside of the beef rib there wasn’t a single thing I would consider great, just very average if not below. Maybe we came on a bad day, we honestly believe we did. If we’re ever in the area we’d be happy to giver it another try. Until then we will plead no contest to whether or not we’d recommend it.

Matilda Rios

Don't believe the hype!!! It was disappointing to say the least. The food is overpriced and just okay. I was expecting to be smacked in the face with flavor, but I was let down. We ordered the party pack $195.00 and got 1lb of brisket, 1lb of pulled pork, 1/2lb of sausage, Texas Twinkies, and 1/2lb of ribs . The brisket was a bit dry for us. We all agreed that the sides we tried (Mac n Cheese, potato salad, spicy pinto beans, and okra) were good. The beverage station was out of ice and Big Red 😭 They also offer complimentary banana pudding, soft serve ice cream, and peach cobbler. Dessert was no bueno. The cobbler crust was salty and the banana pudding didn't taste like banana pudding. I felt a bit rushed while we were ordering and the line wasn't to bad. Supposedly they're were supposed to be servers in the room we sat in to assist us, but I didn't see anyone. I also didn't care for the picnic style seating, because it was a bit difficult to move around without accidentally bumping someone. No, I wouldn't go back, but to each his own. Other than the food. The service from the line staff was great! It gets extremely busy, so expect to wait. Parking is a bit difficult to find as well.

⭐ Hutchison BBQ – Honest Review from a BBQ Lover ⭐ We stopped by Hutchison BBQ and the atmosphere alone deserves recognition. The vibe was 10/10, the service was 10/10, and the prices were very reasonable — another 10/10. The staff were friendly, attentive, and truly made the visit enjoyable. Now… let’s talk about the food. As true barbecue connoisseurs, we came in with high expectations, and while some items hit the mark, others missed it by quite a bit. 🔥 Meats • Brisket – 7/10 Tender with good flavor, but could use a stronger smoke profile. • Turkey – 4/10 Lacked flavor and moisture. • Sausage – 2/10 Unfortunately this was the weakest item. Definitely needs improvement in seasoning and smoke. • Texas Twinkie – 10/10 The star of the entire meal! Perfectly smoked, full of flavor worth coming back for this alone. 🥣 Sides • Creamed Corn – 8/10 Rich, creamy, and delicious. • Mac & Cheese – 6/10 Decent, but could be cheesier and more seasoned. • Okra – 7/10 Crispy and well-seasoned. • Banana Pudding – 2/10 Sadly, not a winner lacked sweetness and texture. 🥫 Sauces • Spicy Sauce – 3/10 • Regular Sauce – 2/10 Both sauces fell flat and didn’t enhance the meats. ⭐ Overall Thoughts The atmosphere, service, and price were absolutely outstanding, but the food quality didn’t fully meet our expectations for a barbecue spot. They especially need to revisit the sausage, smoked turkey, and sauces. But let me be clear that Texas Twinkie was EVERYTHING. I would go back just for that!

The chicken was over powered with rub which made it too salty and peppery. The chicken was juicy but the flavor was horrible. The sausage was bad and we threw it away. The stuffed bacon wrapped jalapeño would have been better warm and not cold. The beans were not pinto beans the were baked beans with brisket. If you like baked beans then you will love it for me it was too sweet. The beef rib was okay but when I told the guy behind the counter serving us that this was our first time he was very polite and told us that there beef rib is better then Black, Coopers and Truth BBQ.. My friend you are so wrong on that one by a mile there meats have amazing flavor and none of them have over powered spices on them. Now the banana pudding is off the hook good. Also the have peach cobbler and ice cream which is free for in house dining. I wish they could have had some blackberry cobbler but it’s okay. The atmosphere is amazing and I wish they had coke products and not Pepsi. I don’t think I will come back because that was the worst $145 I have ever spent but not as bad as Teddy’s BBQ in Weslaco Texas.
