We have been here a few times now and always had excellent food and service. Because it's in the 5th floor of the Carlton Hotel you won't discover it unless you stay here or someone tells you!

Great experience! Best food we had in maderia! Great medieval feeling in the restraunt as well. The 10 percent "suggestrd service charge" that was automatically added to the bill is the only negative factor.

The restaurant itself was cozy and part of the hotel we’re staying at. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. We waited 15 minutes just to get our drinks and no less than 55 minutes for the food. No bread or anything was offered while waiting, and the staff seemed inattentive, even though the restaurant was far from full. When the food finally arrived, it tasted fine but nothing memorable. From a restaurant in a 5-star hotel, we honestly expected more.
