This is already the second time I've eaten pizza here and it's truly wonderful. I ate it the first time in November and couldn't wait to go back...and I can confirm everything! It's the best pizza I've ever eaten! The dough is incredibly light and fluffy, the ingredients are high-quality, you can taste them all!! The desserts are delicious too! My compliments!
A real discovery! We visited this restaurant for dinner and were truly satisfied. The place is welcoming, with attention to detail and a warm, pleasant atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to offer advice with a smile. The food? Simply delicious! The pizza? SPECTACULAR!!! Dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, carefully presented, and bursting with flavor. Excellent value and fast service, without ever feeling rushed. A place we'll definitely return to and highly recommend to anyone who loves good food and true hospitality.
We decided to visit this restaurant around dinnertime. Even though it was a Saturday night and the place was packed, they went out of their way to give us a table. Excellent experience: we had the pan pizza topped with stracciatella and arugula, topped with caramelized onion tartare. Delicious! Definitely worth returning to try other specialties.
The menu is excellent and carefully curated. Service is prompt and helpful. The pizza is good, but be careful with the cooking. My pizza, cooked twice (fried and baked), was delicious; the other was barely cooked, as the crust was slightly undercooked. Overall, a good culinary experience. A treat offered at the end: chocolate-covered almonds.
At first glance, we thought it was an abandoned villa from the outside looks, but when we got in, we were welcomed by the most friendly staff, and the food was very good.
First meal in Italy during this trip as I stopped here on the way to my accommodation from the hotel. It made me happy & gave me a good & positive feeling about this trip. Food was gorgeous & the service was fantastic. Grazie!
best pizza ever <3!
Amazing pizza!! Helpfull staff. Strongly recommend
Overall, the place is really nice. However, the food isn't all that exceptional. The pizza is definitely worth a try, even if the prices are decidedly high. As for the rest, it's nothing special. The appetizers are a bit lackluster, the meat main courses are good but absolutely nothing special. The pizza is the only truly good thing. Maybe we made a mistake in not just ordering the pizza, but I wouldn't recommend it except as a pizzeria.
A restaurant located on the street, with indoor dining and a garden. We had pizza, including a truly excellent classic and pan-fried Margherita. We also ordered two desserts, which never arrived. The atmosphere looked more refined than in the photos, and the service could be improved. Overall, the pizza was very good, but the rest needs some rethinking.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Strafile restaurant. My overall opinion of the experience is somewhat mixed, as while some aspects were truly positive, others left much to be desired. Let's start with the strong points: the products used were undoubtedly fresh and of excellent quality. The dishes were well-presented and flavorful, demonstrating particular care in the selection of ingredients. The staff was very kind and helpful. However, there were also some negatives that I cannot ignore. The restaurant's outdoor area was visibly neglected and in need of more thorough cleaning and general maintenance. This inevitably affected the first impression, making the entrance less inviting. Upon entering, the restaurant's interior felt a bit neglected. A particularly disappointing and irritating point was the fact that we were charged a cover charge for our 8-month-old daughter. This would be questionable in itself, considering that such a young child doesn't eat restaurant food, but it was made even more irritating by the fact that the "service" provided consisted of a dirty plastic cup and cutlery, and a high chair—obviously, she didn't use any of it. I think a little more attention and sensitivity toward families with small children would be welcome. Regarding the food, another detail worth mentioning is the excessive use of salt in the dishes. While this is a matter of personal taste, it's important for the restaurant to consider better calibrating the seasonings to cater to a wider audience. In conclusion, Strafile certainly has potential thanks to the quality of its products and the kindness of its staff. However, to truly improve the customer experience, it would be helpful to pay more attention to the cleanliness of the interior and exterior spaces, and to review the cover charge policy for very young children. Hopefully, with a few adjustments, it can truly offer impeccable service that lives up to expectations.
What a disappointment. We returned to eat here tonight because we had fond memories of last year, but unfortunately we had to change our minds, and I've reluctantly had to amend my previous review (which I'm attaching). There's nothing to complain about regarding the quality of the ingredients; it's truly impeccable, and the ambiance is fine (but not great), as there's nothing to protect diners from mosquitoes, and if you don't have repellent, dining in the garden becomes nearly impossible, especially given the grass and plants around the tables. Everything is well-kept, and a few UV lamps would make dinner more pleasant, but as it is, it just makes you want to run away. Unfortunately, compared to last time, I have to say that everything else has fallen short, from the quantity to the prices. A platter charged 25 euros when it could and should be 10 euros less is literally a rip-off. True, there's prosciutto crudo and capocollo from Martina Franca, but two slices per person is truly a pittance (I've attached a photo), and the price is unjustifiable. We ordered it, remembering the one we'd ordered last year, which was more than enough for two, but just to be on the safe side, we asked the waitress to confirm if it was enough. The girl who served us forgot to tell us when she took our order that some of the items on the platter were out of stock, and we only found out once we received it. We had to point it out ourselves, otherwise the fact that some items were missing probably would have gone unnoticed. The (presumably) owner was kind, bringing us two or three more items to make up for what was missing (nothing added, just substitutions), but unfortunately the focaccia barese was truly inedible because it was undercooked. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with lumps and darker, raw parts of the dough. We left it aside and had it taken away. The pizzas were good, perhaps the only truly positive note, although €15 for the one pictured with stracciatella and zucchini is once again way too much. Another sore point were the beers. A small beer was €5 and a medium one was €6. Crazy. I live in downtown Milan, and these prices aren't even seen here. I don't think we'll return. We had a really bad experience, and €84 for a platter for two, two pizzas, three beers (one small and two medium), a water, and two coffees is a price that made me feel embarrassed for them. It's a shame because skimping on the extra slice of prosciutto is a loss for customers. I don't recommend it at this time.
Spurred by some viral video reviews on social media, I decide to have an aperitivo. Arriving is already a huge disappointment; the main entrance, as shown in the photo, looks like a service station: the place is on the highway, right behind a gas station surrounded by garbage and a sort of landfill. Once inside, you're seated outside in a well-appointed garden with lights and brightly colored armchairs. Unfortunately, there's a space right next door that's half-abandoned, in plain sight; as you can see from the photos, there's also trash thrown haphazardly there. The highway cars whizz by, ruining the atmosphere. The aperitivo, which costs a whopping €15, is truly lacking: the fried food is rock-hard, the parmigiana is bland, the spaghetti all'assassina is flavorless, with tomato sauce and overcooked spaghetti, and the focaccia pugliese is chewy and hard to swallow. I tried to give the place a chance by ordering a pizza because the reviews said it was excellent, but even then, the dough was clearly gone, and the pizza was raw in the thickest areas of the crust. Ultimately, three aperitifs with pizza cost a whopping €62, even including a cover charge. Ultimately, an experience bordering on a scam, which teaches us once again to be wary of false and biased reviews. A place perhaps for those with no choice in small towns like Gaggiano, but certainly light years away from Milanese standards. I will never return.
I ordered a beef steak and had a rotten smell, send it back. You're not informed about the prices of the drinks if you don't ask, you are supposed to know that you should scan the QR code, which are not on every table. 1/2 litres of house made vine is 15 €, while in many other restaurants, it is about 7-8 € for 1 litre, or between 20-25 for a decent bottle. The waitress had an attitude which seemed more likely to be of an "Aushvits nurse". Of course, the night ended with the Carabinieri arrival, which said that they are right and I have to pay (is not that I didn't want to pay, it seemed a lot 15€ for 1/2 vine, and I thought that they want to compensate for the "rotten" beef steak). Apart from that, the "Aushvits nurse" accused me of some kind of plot because I first asked her how is the stake like, letting her know that I'm an usual consumer of beef meat. Long stoy short, high prices poor hospitality, I personally I will not turn back here.
