This was our first stop at Georgetown. We were drawn to the inviting interior and the mouthwatering food photographs. Our experience was thoroughly positive. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience enjoyable. It was a Thursday evening, and the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded. We opted for the made-to-order fried chicken, which arrived after a 20-25 minute wait. However, the wait was worth it, as the chicken was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful lunch or a casual catch-up with friends or family. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area. All the food we ordered was tasty, and we managed to finish everything on our plates.

Our server Leah was stellar! We came in about 2:00pm, so there was no crowd at all. We had the fried chicken and it was good but almost too done. I would have popped it out of the grease a couple of minutes sooner. But the chicken is hand cut because the pieces are huge. The biscuits were very dry. I ate mine anyway because it's still a biscuit! Coleslaw was good and I liked the kale. It was very clean, quiet and relaxing.

We got to try Goodfolks a few weeks ago for the first time! We came on a Thursday evening around 5:30, and there was no wait. The atmosphere and vibes of the restaurant are very cute! However not every dish that we got was great. One of the things they seem to be known for are their biscuits, and I was excited to try them, but was left disappointed. They were very dry and hard. We also got the pimento cheese and crackers as a starter. It was basically cheese and crackers slapped onto a plate, with no flavor or added things to make it special. The chicken sandwich that I got was great, however! It had a super thick piece of chicken and had great flavor. I would come back to get this again, but not the other items!

A really cool spot for dinner in a historic building on the square of Georgetown. The sandwiches were really good and there was a solid drink selection as well. The sidewinder fries were also a nice surprise. Service was a little slow to start, but it got quicker after our drinks were eventually served.

With the central staircase, it’s always leg day for the servers tending to the gallery seating upstairs! The is a chicken joint so the fried bird is the word. Humongous tenders the and you get three with your order of chick n waffles. They need to make the waffle bigger to stand up against that chicken madness!

A Quaint Spot with Amazing Service in Downtown Georgetown. Goodfolks is a really cool, quaint little spot right in the heart of historic downtown Georgetown. The atmosphere and layout are fantastic, and even though we didn't have a reservation, we were seated quickly,. The menu is definitely centered around chicken dishes, and everyone in our party had something different, from chicken sandwiches to chicken tenders. We started with the Honey Sriracha brussel sprouts, and they absolutely did not disappoint. For my main, I went with the Honey Sriracha chicken sandwich. The flavor was really good and it wasn't too spicy, but it was a little messy and mushy from the sauce. Despite that, the flavor was great, and it was a huge sandwich! The absolute highlight of our visit, though, had to be our server, Alison. She was so nice and personable, and she took the time to walk us through the menu and give us some great recommendations. She made us feel right at home and did an excellent job taking care of us. Overall, Goodfolks is a great place, and with service like Alison's, we'll definitely be back.

This was a nice restaurant in downtown Georgetown. The food was pretty good and if you want fried chicken, this is your spot. I have different types of meals, but I think they mostly revolve around chicken. We got the fried pickles went great too! I wish they offered a barbecue or hot sauce, dipping sauce. Similar to what you would get on hot wings. I really like the layout of the restaurant and it was nice and clean with a really cool design. I feel the service was pretty good and overall we gave the food a thumbs up.

Goodfolks in Georgetown, TX—solid spot! I went with the grilled chicken salad since I had a lot of walking and a big meal ahead. The chicken? Tender & juicy. But the honey chipotle dressing? Absolute star of the show—sweet, smoky, a little kick. Loved it! My wife? She went full send on the Nashville Chicken and devoured it. Service was great, and the layout of the place is pretty interesting too. Definitely coming back one day!

Went to the restaurant for a birthday celebration on Saturday afternoon. The brunch menu only being served was a disappointment. I had the weirdest BBQ shrimp I've ever eaten. Not sure where the recipe came from but it was sweet not savory. The shrimp were good but served on a toast with mayo ??? Bizzare and not to my liking. Expecting a completely different dish. If you go get the chicken apparently that is the restaurant's best dish. Abby our server was delightful. Make a reservation! The line was to the door. This is not a large group place the 6 of us were wedged into a booth too small . The biscuits were hard and dry served with compote and honey did not make them any less tuff or dry. They do have drink specials at brunch. Breakfast was probably a better choice.

Had reservations for 5pm Waited 35 min to be served took an hr for a glass of wine . Table of 5 only 4 meals came out after waiting over an hour. Chicken dinner was obviously rushed came out without French fries when asked they said yeah sometimes they come out later ???? Everyone else’s fries came out with the other 4 meals. Tomato soup tasted like buffalo sauce warmed up. When the 5th meal came out without anything else my wife cut into the extremely dark coating almost burnt the entire middle was raw really raw. When handed back the waitress asked if we just wanted to take it off the bill. Drinks served less than 1/2 full.everyone’s glasses were empty for the 2nd hour we were seated waiting for the check . Waitress said she would get the manager she had to be flagged down and didn’t care . Had to ask for the meal to be removed that we couldn’t eat and didn’t eat a bite . Then tried to charge us for a drink we didn’t have . The absolute worst service we have ever had in a restaurant. The manager does not care at all. No apologies . It’s a shame because we have been here for breakfast and lunch many times and have never experienced this type of experience. When you’re in the service business at least act like you care . We will not return. Worst restaurant on the square .

We went last sunday, and even tho service is always questionable, food usually was always good, not this time. We got our usual chicken and waffles, tenders for the kids, well when i tell you the quality was worse than fast food, they looked and tasted just like those frozen already cooked pieces of chicken, same with the waffles. They used to make the fried chicken there, im not sure why they changed it, as you can see in the picture thats not made from scratch, literally frozen chicken tenders, we paid almost $90 for horrible food that we didnt finish, even the coffee was cold. I emailed the contact on the website and have not received any response. Such a disappointing visit!

While the ambiance was really nice and right across from town square, the food was underwhelming and slightly nauseating. Biscuits were super dry and the chicken was overcooked. The carb to protein ratio was way off and the flavors just didn’t work together. Service was meh, the food took forever to come out and it wasn’t even busy.
