I prefer this location to the one on Williams. Staff was super friendly and donuts were pretty good too!
Stopped for donuts and Kolachies on the way home to another state... the donuts were just as good as I remember and everyone was happy with the kolachies as usual.
I haven't stopped by for a few months but my daughter insisted lol! She loves the donut holes. The new gentleman suggested mustard for my sausage and cheese kolache and it was delicious 😋!
Came here for a big order since family was visiting from out of town. Chin went above and beyond to ensure our order was correct and label everything. Great experience!
Great place to go for donuts. Drive thru is really quick. Friendly staff and always in a good mood. They have very good donuts and kolaches. You will not be disappointed!
Fast service, pleasant employees and, most importantly, GREAT DONUTS!!!!!! Store is your typical small storefront and they offer a drive-thru for those less inclined to pre-burn those donut calories. Selection is great too. Shipley's is our favorite donut store!
Such a friendly place. I have been going here for YEARS. As a treat to my son, sometimes I take him here to get morning do-nuts. He doesnt want them from anywhere else and the lady who has been serving us this whole time has never not had a smile on her face.
Great donuts. They tend to get busy so a little patience is needed but well worth the wait. Not all Shipleys are good but this is one of the good ones.
We have always called Shipley's the dirty cousin of another name brand chain. In recent years Shipley's has elevated their game and taken the title of Best Hot Glazed (anything /everything) in Texas. If you get to any location prior to 7am, grab an extra dozen hot glazed...you won't be sorry
It's Shipley's. It's donuts the way they are meant to be. Mmmmm... just writing this is making me want to get in the car and go grab a dozen glazed and a butterfly... oh, and better grab a bag of donut holes to chow on the drive because the car is gonna smell so good I won't be able to control myself... Service at both the counter and the drive-thru is always friendly and you're always greeted with a smile, regardless of the time of day. Friendly service, perfect taste... it's obviously a Texas thing!!!

Didn't have the donuts that I was looking for that are available at other Shipleys
The donuts are good. There is usually only one person working here though. They have to man inside as well as the drive-thru and slows down service.
Drinks are thick and taste a little weird, but the donuts are amazing, especially the apple filled ones.
Ordered the maple bars, but didn’t realize they come filled with cream. It’s hard to find a pure maple bar.
Great donuts but not much of choice around 10am. Not for eat as it was set up as take and go.

Always very good food. The service can be slow during busy times as they do not seem to have enough help.
I give this 3 stars mainly because I was greeted by the manager & she had HUGE hickie's all over her neck, both sides and it was disgusting. If you have a crazy night of sex snd have to work the next morning, especially in a supervisory position- try to not let your partner mark up your body terribly. If it does happen, put on makeup to attempt to cover it up.
My apple fritter was a little stale honestly. And the maple-glazed donuts were inconsistent. But the poor lady working all by herself did a great job!
I feel a little bad saying anything negative about Shipleys... but I think this location's plain glazed donuts and donut holes are lacking in the glaze department (as in they need more glaze, or the glaze needs to be thicker). We really enjoy the frosted donuts though! And the main lady, she is probably the manager, is sooooo so so nice. I adore her. I also like how they'll change the sprinkles on the donuts seasonally. Super cute!
The service is always friendly, but maybe it's a Houston thing when I go to Shipleys I expect fresh hot soft donuts & kolaches at least until 9am. I haven't found that the case here as of yet, however there is always a line. So maybe that's not the expect here.

These donuts were not good. My kolache was hard and gross.
Went there at 8:30 bunch of old old donuts. Kolache was good tho. If you want fresh hot stuff, go elsewhere!
Donuts were cold, and I took a bite out of one and not fresh at all!!! I just ordered 30 from them, I'm very dissapointed
Asked for an iced vanilla latte, and got flavored vanilla milk with ice. They assured there was coffee in it, but nope!
Unfortunately, this location has gone down hill. It wasn't the cleanest inside. Despite going in rather early there wasn't a lot of variety. Some of the donuts were stale and flavorless. The service was nice however our order wasn't correct. I have gotten Shipley's kolaches for years but the one I received the other day was so salty it was inedible.
This is getting out of hand.... 2 cinnamon twist doughnut's $2.99 each and a large Dr Pepper $2.49....... 10 bux for a quick breakfast stop. You have got to be kidding me. No meat, no cheese just some dough and sugar. I did a quick AI search online to find out how Shipley's is priced way above the national average. Check for yourself. The 5 Stars are for the service I got, the 2 people there were working so hard and were polite so they were at least an upgrade to the ladies who were in this location the last time I stopped. It was as if I was intruding on their day!
Proceed with caution when ordering online! The website leads you to believe you can customize your order but what you get in the box most likely won’t be what you ordered. When I picked up my order, the employee didn’t say anything about having made substitutions so I assumed my order was filled accurately. When we got home and opened the box, we were sadly disappointed. The donuts were dried out and we were given unglazed plain cake donuts instead of blueberry glazed. I called to tell them what happened thinking it was an honest mistake but was told that they were out so they just chose what they thought was a good enough substitute. When I advised that they should call the customer if they are going to make changes to the order, the lady said sorry but we were out so we just choose what we can. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there is no manager in the store. When I questioned that, she said they have a manager but they just weren’t there. The lady on the phone didn’t seem to care at all about my dissatisfaction nor did it seem likely that my concerns and suggestions would be passed along.

Poor customer service, gentleman working the front with a big attitude. Buddy you’re working a retail counter if you can’t deal people then you shouldn’t be working there.
Ordered 1 dozen on DoorDash and didn’t get any of the donuts we ordered. Got sent a dozen of random donuts
Last two times I've gotten doughnuts from here they tasted old like they were made the night before or something. Will not buy donuts from here again.
terrible customer service. I ask for an assortment of donuts she gave me all the same kind in both of my 2 dozen.
Cheaper by the dozen is NOT a thing here. It’s actually more expensive to buy a dozen than buying half a dozen twice. And please don’t ask for a tip when the donuts are overpriced and usually cold.
The Leander Road store is awful about their store hours. I've gone on several occasions in the morning and the lady who is there is late in opening. The last time I went, it was 6:10am and she wasn't even open. The contractor who delivers the donuts was waiting in the parking lot. There was another guy who pulled in behind me and we both drove off with no donuts.
Food wasn't fresh, the most stale apple fritter I've ever consumed. Also we received the wrong type of donuts instead we had received the donuts we specifically didn't want.
Worst Shipley's I've ever been to. Only got an Apple Fritter, kolaches with cheese and donut holes. Donut holes glaze was totally melted already and donuts themselves were thicker and collapsed. The kolaches were smaller than any other Shipleys we'd been to and the sausage inside was much more similar to a hot dog than the sausage they usually have. The apple fritter....... well, it had cinnamon and a touch of apple but it wasn't a "fritter" at all. It was one thick piece of bread, lightly fried and once again, glaze already melted. Worst apple fritter I've ever had by far and overall the worst stop for donuts. A mistake to be avoided.
Grew up on Shipley's in Houston, Conroe, and Huntsville area in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Walked in this location this morning and ended up leaving. A high school boy sweeping the lobby with his headphones in looking like he was mad at the world when I walked in. I walk up to the counter and he continues to sweep a little longer. He finally goes behind the counter and starts wiping down the donut rack and straitening bags, never acknowledging me. The lady working the drive thru walks over to the donut rack to fill the drive thru order and ask him if he has already helped me and he continues to have his back to me or acknowledge me. So I just turned around and left. Always hit or miss on service at this location. always seems understaffed.
It was edible but the donut barley had any icing and it took quite a while in the drive through since there was only one employee for the whole shop
Been to this location and others. The doughnuts were overpriced and not great. I honestly do not know how the restaurants remains to be open where there are much better options out there.
Donuts seemed to be a day or 2 old. Bathroom was dirty. This location was far from meeting Shipley’s basic standards
The most disgusting donuts I’ve ever had in my life. It blows my mind how a donut store could have terrible donuts… how does this place stay in business?? 😂 Picture shows a glazed donut that was ordered at 8am… had to of been at least 1-2 days old!
Ordered 4 sausage jalapeño and cheese kolach. All 4 had no cheese no jalapeños. Ordered 1 strawberry iced donut, 1 cherry with sprinkles, and a glazed cinnamon twist. Received 3 plain donuts and a cinnamon twist. Ridiculous. Check your orders before you leave.
So many things, see photo for one. Asked for a chocolate old fashion and got a chocolate icing cake donut after a lot of Q&A. I wanted to try another donut shop but after this I will never go back. I’ll go back to my regular stop, Grand Donuts in RR, where customer service and quality is top notch.

Unbelievable the lack of quality and lack of customer service! The cashier rolling her eyes when I was ordering and looking what they had left on the donuts display! Apple fritters were hard as a rock and no texture!
I grew up with Shipley's in Houston and always had fresh "hot" donuts in the morning. Was in a long drive thru line here, took 40 minutes for 6 cars ahead of me. Finally got to the window, lady was having a personal conversation with the only dine-in customer, waited for 5 minutes through this for her to get to me, notice the drive thru line is getting longer around the building. Finally came to me, I asked if there were still hot donuts coming off the line (this was about 7:30am), she said yes! They were as cold as they could be. Very disappointing....I could care less about taking so long and the customer service, but to not have the famous hot donuts in the morning, I will make the trek to RR.
Hours are not correct. I did an online order and they closed early. I requested a refund and I'm sure I'll get it but I would of not ordered from there and driven out there if their closing time was honest
If I could give a negative 4 I would! Ordered 2 chocolate filled donuts and apple fritter. When got home the 2 chocolate filled were filled with a thin white cream and dry. The fritter was so hard I couldn’t cut it with fork. Threw them in garbage. I called to let the store know and he didn’t seem concerned at all. Offered to try again if we wanted to come back. I said we didn’t want to drive all the way back. He said well thank you and have a nice day and hung up on me. Terrible customer service.
I ordered 2 large kolaches, one small kolache, a cake donut and apple fritter. If I could rate them a negative, I definitely would. Everything tasted like it was old. The apple fritter was so dry, I took 2 bites and had to throw it away. The cake donut was so hard and crunchy and inedible also. The small kolache was more than 50% dry bread with a super small sausage inside and 2 sliced jalapeños, with a small amount of cheese. After my husband saw how awful my food was he refused to even eat the 2 large kolaches. I can’t believe I spent $14 and had to throw it away. That will be the first and last time I ever go back here. I’ve never had anything bad at shipleys before and they should be embarrassed to even have their name on this location. On top of that they allowed a homeless man to camp out with all of his stuff inside laying on the floor. As soon as we drove up he came out and saw my husband waiting for me in the car and started asking for money.
They overcharged me. I received a coupon though mail with an offer of 50% off a dozen so I thought I’ll give it a try. I ordered a coffee and the dozen and was surprised when the total came out as over $15. I paid it anyway and asked for receipt, then I saw 2 extra chocolate iced donuts added. Seems like he wanted to overcharge me just because I used the coupon. If you are not willing to honor the coupon you better don’t give it away. Not to mention the $4.99 iced coffee that I wanted to try the blended that was announced and he said he couldn’t do it blended, only iced coffee. It turned out to be an expensive and bad tasting iced coffee. First time buying there and I regret giving a try. Will never come back.
Asked for a dozen assorted and got 6 regular glazed, 3 maple & 3 "assorted". Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't $14.50! Charging $14.50 for dry, definitely not fresh, donuts?! Also, reporting to health inspector just from what I saw when I looked through the drive up window.
I just ordered door dash and picked out donuts. They sent me whatever they wanted because the ones I requested they didn't have. What a waste of money. I would assume they would call instead of just picking whatever
