Carhops need to learn to smile when delivering food. They don't make much money hourly so being friendly and smiling can get them better odds for a good tip.

Majority of the time when people get on to complain about companies in Google reviews, it is a one off experience that they had but what they forget to mention is the remaining other 10 times that they visited and we’re happy with their food and service. I hope that people take the reviews this establishment has With a grain of salt And form their own opinions still. Yes, the team working here is on the younger side however, with that in mind, they are doing the best that they absolutely can fast food service is not easy to be in And it clearly says they are hiring if you think you can do better. Secondly, I’ve come to this establishment many times and I have on occasion had some minor issues with my order but each time I have requested that the order be corrected. They are more than happy to oblige and are very apologetic about it if you have a little patience with them they are very kind staff please remember everybody deserves a little grace. I will absolutely continue to visit this location and you should too.

I sure hope they keep these on the menu all the time. The buffalo chicken bites are really great (I like em with ranch or Bleu cheese). They are crispy and soft at the same time. Service is always quick when I order in the app and drinks are always half price in the app too!

I'm glad to see that Sonic has started putting meat back into their hamburgers. However, I miss the Sonic of the 80's, before it became over-commercialized. It was fun back then.

Just went by for drinks. Sonic has the best value and the best ice of all the Fast Food drive thrus when it comes to drinks.

Sonic is one of my favorite fast food places to go. I especially live their ice. I go just to get their ice. Plus their car hops are pleasant and courteous always.

Food was delivered quickly. The order was correct, which is a hit or miss. Overall it's a pretty good sonic location.

They're very clean & fast! I likes place that I don't have to wait half of my life to get a fast food burger! The carhops are always sweet & serve with a smile.

Food was hot and fresh, and accurate for a change(from other sonics). However the carhop came out, didnt even smile or greet us and just started rambling off our order in a monotone voice. I get it if you've had a long day, but we felt unwelcome this time.

Good device good time getting food out. One thing I will tell you is don't go 1 hour before closing. The food was soggy and hard. I understand get rid of all the food from earlier. Need to serve hot fresh food at all times.

Food is good! I especially like the chili cheese fries and chicken slinger. Service is good, everyone that has taken my order has been super nice and on top of their job! Only complaint is that they always seem to forget my marinara sauce I order with my mozzarella sticks, same with forgetting the cheese with the pretzel twists, but those are no big deal I can have a good snack/meal without the sauces.

Never know what kind of service you're going to get. Sometimes food is done right, other times is really poor quality. Speed of service is mostly slow. Sometimes it can be fast

Food is always great of but they can't seem to get our order right. Three times in a row something was incorrect.

Jalapeno burger with no jalapenos, corny dog with no mustard. No napkins. Traveling, could not turn around and go back.

Ordered hamburger with mustard and jalapeno alone with the other regular vegetables. Got no lettuce no onion and 1 very small slice of tomato. Also ordered steak sandwich received one with meat mao and very small slice of tomato. Looks like another place to put on the back shelf her in Gilmer.

All I got was a sweet tea and a vanilla cold brew. The sweet tea wasn’t sweet at all. Didn’t get to drink the cold brew because when the put the lid on they broke the side of the cup.

The sonic in Gilmer verys. Somedays service is good and people are nice and than there are days where the food is ify and people are not so pleasant. Yesterday food was out fast and the lady that delivered our food was nice.

First time I've ever had not so great food from Sonic, decided to treat myself and got the $4.99 bacon burger. Wasn't hot or even warm for that matter. Bacon must have been from the day before, and cheese wasn't even melted. Very disappointed!! I understand being understaffed, but if I'm waiting in line for over 20 minutes what's a few more minutes for a hot burger!!!

I'm not one to give bad reviews but there last 3 times have been bad... orders aren't right, poor quality of food even the drinks lately taste 1/2 flat. Think it'll be a good while before I visit my go to place again.

Usually thay are very fast and friendly. Last night they where pretty slow and they weren't even busy. My tots where over cooked. But the burger was good.

Tried to order French toast stick meals for my kids. Meal deal is just French toast sticks and a drink. The girl taking my order must have been new, because she kept asking questions to someone else. This is totally fine, she was really sweet and really trying. She told me they couldn’t do meal deals right now? I didn’t understand what the problem was, unless they didn’t have French toast sticks. I know they had been out a while back. I just told her I would go somewhere else. I had already been waiting way too long to try to decipher what was going on. The 3 stars is because the staff was really nice and genuinely trying. Wait time shouldn’t even get 1 star.

2 ultimate burritos that were very bland. Eggs were overcooked or had been sitting for a while. Same on bacon, or was very cheap quality. Less cheese than usual. Toaster was good. Buffalo popcorn chicken was not totally coated with sauce. Hard to tell on the chicken, due to the massive amount of breading. Fries, tots, and cherry limeade were all good Sonic quality.

Was my 1st time at this location ... They were definitely having an off day. Think their system was down, couldn't order using the red button. Finally pulled around toward the drive thru & young lady came & took order. Food was so so, again probably due to problems they were experiencing. My rating is based only on this. If I go back to this location I will update review. (I live near Sonic in Pittsburg.)

The Gilmer Sonic has really gone downhill. I hate to say that, but it has. Several of the stalls where you order have busted buttons that are unusable and some of the stalls are so close together that it is almost impossible to get in or out of them safely. I broke my side mirror trying to get out of one on the far right side a while back. I called and spoke with the manager who asked me the stall number. I told her and she admitted that the stalls where I was were too close together and that people hit them all the time......but they weren't liable for my damages. Go figure. Past few times we've gone, our food is cold when we get it. It's a real shame. That was my go-to place as a young adult. I hate that it has gotten so bad. We don't go there for food anymore. Just drinks.

I ordered 4 sausage egg and cheese breakfast burritos, believe they only used 1 sausage patty between the 4, more sausage per burrito would be great

My husband's #2 double hamburger was very dry like it was sitting in the warmer to long. He was disappointed. My popcorn chicken was good otherwise.

I only ordered 2 corn dogs and fries..... when I FINALLY got my food, it was cold... screen said it was ready....took a long time to deliver....sonic in Gilmer is usually a lot better than this

Got food 10 minutes ago. Our order not correct. Order bacon cheese burger no bacon, ordered 5 piece chicken strip only got 3. Paid 45.08 need to get what you pay for. Do better...

I actually used to work here and the service has gone down hill since then. We went through the drive thru ordered 2 drpepers and a large popcorn chicken. First of all the line was going slow and when we got to the window the girl was talking not paying attention. The drive thru lady messed our intire order up by trying to give us someone else’s order. Then they handed us our drinks and told us to have a good day. We said we were missing our popcorn chicken and the girl said one moment. She comes back handing us a small sack then shuts the window. After we drove off come to find out they gave us a medium instead of a large. So we had to go back in to a station just to wait another 5 min for a small popcorn chicken to make our medium into a large.

The only reason service gets three stars is because the girl who took our order and brought our food was very friendly and apologetic. She apparently is mature for her age and more responsible than then others working there. There were two other cars there when we got there late night. The kids inside were so loud the girl couldn't hear to tale our order and we couldn't hear her. She had to come outside to get our order. I ordered my burger with mayonnaise and no ketchup. It came pretty fast but had mustard and ketchup so we asked for one made the way we ordered it. The girl again apologized and brought us a replacement burger. This burger was not the double meat burger we ordered the first time, just meat, cheese mayo. No vegetables. I ate it anyway. My husband asked if there wasn't a manager there because the guys in there were cutting up, loud, and didn't make the order correctly. She said there was one, but he acts like a kid most of the time. Whatever happened to good management, and customer service? That one girl seemed to be doing everything herself and was embarrassed by how the others acted and performed.

My hamburger's buns were very 🤔 soggy and unappealing. They tasted like wet cardboard, very nasty! Tater tots were okay. Strawberry fruit slush was the BEST THING EVER!

Most times they mess up the orders. Burgers are dry and overcooked. Onion rings are always burnt or undercooked. No in between. Bread is normally always hard and old.

Tonight was the service was not great. The guy taking my order had me repeat it several times. No biggie I’m sure they are doing more things while taking orders. He gets to my car can’t read my order keeps stumbling. Then drops my food on the ground. It was just tots with cheese. It’s fine they were in the bags. I asked him to mark the tots with extra cheese lol nope didn’t do that. Then get home and there isn’t any ranch. I also ordered 2 large cheese sticks and cheddar peppers! So I tried to call them just to let them know before I post…. But wouldn’t you know the phone is just BUSY. Maybe this will get their attention!

Well the food wasn't to appetizing when you open up your burger and find a piece of broken plastic with jagged edges INSIDE YOUR BURGER!!

Pulled in the drive-thru was closed. Pulled into a parking spot to order, waited for 5 minutes to order and finally left. Parking lot wasn’t packed and there was no drive-thru orders due to it being closed very unsatisfied..

I ordered buffalo chicken I received a bowl of basically bedding with buffalo sauce and I ordered a "signature " cherry limeade and received a cherry Sprite

Slow service for a sonic. Got order wrong after repeating it 3 times. Then the quality of the food was very poor. I don't think the drink machine gets cleaned because my Dr Pepper taste like rust or something.

Ordered 30 mins ahead and still had to wait another 15 mins after arriving to get a small cheeseburger and coke. Ridiculous.

This sonic is getting real bad about clearing out orders before they are ready to take them out then that forgot about the order I have personal had this happen to me three times sit there and wait on order after it says its on way for like 20 min and then have to call in there to find out that they lost it Getting ridiculous don't clear the order till you are actually taking it out to person

Just received a lecture from a manager in the drive through on how to order a burger. This is after I returned an order that wasn't even remotely close to what I ordered. Very unprofessional.

Came through Saturday night September 17 was not very busy came through drive through was told they were not frying anything and for a 6 inch chili cheese Coney it would be approximately 9 minutes?????

Drive-thru had ridiculous wait times. I sat there for 9.5 mins waiting to order. I went to Taco Bell down the street.

My friend just went through there she found a black little hair in her food. She calls to tell them and all they say is we can replace your food. No thanks not ever going to that place! The place needs new employment and better managing skills. I’ll be calling corporate! Oh and got her food wrong! Just keep driving by isn’t worth the stop.

Owner is rude! Never get orders right. The last 2 times we were there, we waited over 10 min for them to take our order after we pressed the button. Other ppl ik have complained about this too. They were great when we first moved here. Dont know if someone else took it over, but the service has gotten down right horrible!

Had to send food back 3 times and still not right. Ordered a #1 -tomatoes add bacon with mayo. I got a burger with no meat at all with tomatoes. And no frise. 3 times of sending back I finally got half of my order.

This sonic (gilmer tx) always seems to get my order wrong, I always let it slide.. but tonight I had them correct my order and I get home and eat about half of my food to find a black hair on my food! The manager said no one there had black hair but the guy who brought us out the food HAD BLACK HAIR. Getting an order wrong is understandable but having hair in the food is down right disgusting and unacceptable!!!

Just being honest, each time I've went to get a sonic Hamburger the meat taste like it's been Sitting in a microwave, and it's always really dry bread , then when I get home I'm upset that I just spent 10 to 15 dollars on a meal that was just awful 😖

The strawberry cheesecake shake was horrible tasting it tasted sour. The slushie I got my daughter was a drink with ice not a slushies. We will not be going back here.

Went thru drive on are motorcycle with wife to get a (unsweet tea). Only to b told they dont serve people on motorcycle.they could not give a good reason why. So we pulled in stall..waited..and waited..finally order a (unsweet tea)...after rew more minutes here she comes...take a swig..yup u guessed it..it sweet tea... One star is too much..

Gilmer sonic has a nice man and woman on the window but the manager with the long blonde hair doesn't seem to care about quality of the food sent out or fact that orders are done wrong

Worst #2 meal I've ever gotten from Sonic in Gilmer, TX. The burger handed to me through the drive through was cold. Tasted like it was made 2 hours prior should have been discarded after 20 minutes.

This location has really gone down hill in the last few months. They can't keep up with the online orders plus the normal drive up orders. I sent a scalding message to corporate today, 7/17/2020. I have been sitting the the car for 33 minutes without my order. We have pushed the button and talked to someone 3 times. Twice we've been told they were on the way out with it. Poorly used lunch hour. I am very unlikely to every return here.

Very slow service in the breakfast drive-thru. For some reason they couldn't do two separate orders in the drive-thru,so one person had to pay for everything. The food didn't taste good when we got it. Two junior sausage burritos and one super sonic breakfast burrito,was over $10.

Ordered 2 tater tots & 2 drinks. After waiting over 5 minutes after the screen said our order was on it's way we called back to ask where our order was only to be asked, "...may I take your order?" What? Take my order? You already have our order. The lot was full when we arrived, most of the cars had already departed & others had parked, ordered, received their orders, & left with us still setting.....we will not be going back. Horrible horrible service.

Usually pretty decent, but tonight was another story, my husband waited forever and they were rude. All the food was burned, even the toast and the rest was under cooked. The chicken smelled horrible and looked horrible. Even the cheesesticks had a wierd off flavor and consistency. Needless to say, we had to throw most of it away because we were afraid of getting sick. It tasted rancid. Not going back anytime soon. I'm disappointed because its usually a great stop.

Bad service; had to move to a different stall because number 12 was not working when I push the button it beeped but nobody ever answered me.i asked for the number seven with chili cheese tater tots large and a route 44 sweet tea with mango and lime they got my tea right which was a good thing but my tots where wrong I told the dude three times chilling and cheese and he only put cheese I asked for signature sauce honey mustard and mayonnaise and didn't get any of them and then I had to repeat myself four more times to two different guys yeah needless to say I don't think I'll be going back to Sonic in Gilmer at least not on the p.m. shift

The bacon breakfast burritos used to be my favorite thing to get, really the only thing I do get. Every time the eggs have been burnt to nothing as well as the bacon also the burritos have been so empty. Ontop of that I also think they messed my stomach up. I've waited a long time to write this review thinking it would change but did not

This is one the unorganized sonics I have ever been to. Been there 3 maybe 4 times. Always something wrong. Wait forever, food is cold are semes old. They get orders mixed up. M&M blast test like M & Ms are old. Be a long time before you see me back there.

I usually love going to Sonic. I ordered ahead and it was out in a timely matter, but they forgot the marinara sauce. I called them back to get some sauce and they said it will be right out and they were sorry. 15 minutes later and still no sauce. My daughter had to go up to the window to get it. They still made her wait even though they were right beside the window.

The burgers come out Luke warm at heat. Feel like they been sitting for awhile. Fries cold and soggy. Keep giving this place a chance, but probably the worst sonic within 100 miles.

Oh no Sonic what happened to the food! Yet again I've been sadly disappointed. Hot dog bun was very stale! Couldn't eat it. The tator tots tasted like fish and your cheese sticks looked old before we even tasted. My bank account says no more to Sonic due to the yucky food.

I’ve lived in Gilmer for about four years now and this place has its good days and bad days just like any place does but here as of lately it’s been more bad than good. I’m done buying anything other than ice cream from this place. Bought a burger tonight and I’m pretty sure Helen Keller could have put this burger together better. Condiments unevenly distributed, wilted lettuce, old tomatoes and burnt patties makes for a pretty nasty taste in your mouth. Until they decide to hire people that ACTUALLY care about making good quality food, I think I will not get anything from them again.

10-25-21: I ordered a large Strawberry Limeade, a Route 44 Root Beer and LG Cheese sticks withe Xtra marinara. I got no marinara and the drinks was nothing but carbonated water. So I drove the 15 minutes back to get replacements and all they brought me was the root beer so I had to rebuy the Strawberry Limeade

Went for half price burger night on 10/22/19. Pulled into a stall and pressed the button. A very rude lady answered and I double checked on which burgers were half price and she told me just the number 1. I said okay and was listening to my wife tell me how she wanted her burger and the lady "hung up" on me and I tried to call out to her but she wasn't there so I pressed the button again 2 more times and no answer. So Jack I the box got my money that time. I am very disappointed in sonic in gilmer and will have to seriously think about going there again in the future.

I got sick after I eat the grilled cheese fries and medium coke . I’ve ordered This hundred of times never getting this sick I got stomach problems. I called the sonic and talked to the manager and he acted like he could care less. So I called the sonic customer service line and filed a complaint with them about getting sick at the sonic in Glimer Texas. I’m pissed off like crazy about this . I see in the reviews that someone found a piece of glass in their food. At the Glimer location I’m going to the health department on Monday and file a complaint with them about this location. If they don’t help me im going to the federal agency that helps with type of issue . I’m am really mad I know this sonic location does not care . But so what . I will never eat at this location again

Didn’t get anything!!! Ordered and waited 30 minutes. Screen showed the order as it went through the processes, in the kitchen, Christian will be delivering your order and then the screen cleared. We watched a carhop deliver food and drinks to several cars around us, and yet ours never came, not to mention the numerous cars and trucks that went through the drive thru-line. We left, severely disappointed. Just for the record, all we were waiting on was simple a simple order, it was a small chocolate shake. That’s it! -Negative Stars in my book

This location is in disarray. Not very well maintained. The food quality is below standard compared to other locations and has not improved as well as high pricing for basic items. The employees are fantastic though, although I've noticed management does not like to admit mistakes to make it right but rather argue.

Ordered a wacky pack Tuesday evening with a plain hamburger, got home and they put cheese on it, which isn't liked by my kid. Called in and they apologized and offered a free one, came today to get it fixed and got down the road to see cheese was yet again on it, when I said that it's just a plain hamburger at the window. Turned around and told the same lady that it's meat only, a different lady brought me the new hamburger with not great customer service and asked for the 1st burger back. Work on your friendly service and apologize for my inconvenience when twice the way it was needed to be made was told

The kids here do not know how to run this place. I did a online order. Arrived 5 minutes after and waited 20 minutes and not one single person came to see if I ordered or if there was a issue. Had to pull to a speaker to get my Two drinks that I had ordered online. There were three cars in the whole parking lot. This isn't the first time this has happened either.

This place has gone downhill since I was kid! I haven't found one of these places that offers hot food and it doesn't taste like it's been sitting in a bowl of water for hours! 🤢 And I hate to say it but I used to love this place! It was my first job as a kid! And when I was a kid we made all our french fries and onion rings daily and now everything else serve comes out of a bag! 50 burgers and then throw them in a pan with water in them! I do not eat here anymore!

Sonic totally messed up my order. Didn't realize it until I got home. My cheeseburger had EVERYTHING on it. I ordered with only mustard, lettuce and tomato. No mustard, had mayo and ketchup. Plus it was cold. I think it was pre-made. Fries were cold too. Absolutely TERRIBLE!

My family and I drove though here and bought this chicken strip not even 5 mins ago. We waited almost 20 mins for it and it’s so hard my daughter can not even eat her meal.
