Erik's Deli

My wife and I stopped by Erik's Deli Cafe. It did not disappoint. Service, food, and prices were exceptional. I will definetly be back for another great sandwich when traveling back home.

The next time you find yourself in Gilroy California - take time to visit Erik’s Deli. The Reuben is the best I’ve had in years. I would put it against any you might find in a Jewish New York deli - it is that good.

Visited in October 2024 Had a lunch here when we made a stop from Marina/Monterey Bay area to San Francisco (with a bit of shopping in the factory outlets). Ordered the warm Reuben Sandwich, which was tasty and came with the right portion for me (disclaimer: I'm not big lunch eater). The unexpected real star of the meal was the dill pickle, perhaps one of the tastiest pickles I've ever had. It's just taste different, can't imagine a humble pickle could be this satisfying. The texture was also just right, neither mushy nor hard.

Great sandwiches. We often order on line for pickup and our food is always ready when promised. The online order system has a strange quirk. We often want to schedule an order for pick up shortly after they open, but the earliest it will allow is 45 minutes after the doors are unlocked.

We wanted something simple and light for lunch and all the sandwich options were over complicated and too heavy for what we were after so we asked if we could build our own sandwich. No problem! Our helpful server was very patient and obliging and our sandwich was exactly what we were after. Lost one star only because the tomato was a bit light on! Can recommend 👌

Reliable place to grab a quick lunch in the outlets. Rarely have much of a wait and orders are generally well-made (although a recent Caesar wrap was light on the Caesar). Service is always satisfactory, although not necessarily super friendly or cheerful.

Couldn’t taste the pesto in pesto chicken sandwich. Vegetable soup is seasoned with only salt. Can we add *any* flavors please ?

Double check your sandwiches. They often get my order wrong on the weekend and will substitute things and not tell you. I recommend going during the week.

Compared to other Erik's deli locations, this place skimped on the filling for my takeout sandwiches and forgot to add the pickles to boot!! And it seems like they had pressed down hard after assembling the sandwiches turning the bread almost pasty, Ugh. I am not coming here again.

Im not sure what the hype about Erik's Deli is. Overpriced and so plain, no flavor, bland sandwiches. The soup and sandwiches are overpriced not worth it.

This Erik’s is horrible! Last Friday they gave me the completely wrong sandwich and was not aware I received the wrong sandwich until I got home 30min later. Today(Memorial Day) they were completely out of lettuce and sprouts ……WTH ! How do you call yourself an “Deli” and not have lettuce for a salad or sandwiches. Everything on their menu for the most part has sprouts or lettuce. SMH …..horrible !

Eric’s was hotter inside than it was outside I felt bad for the workers I would never wanna work in those conditions. Something needs to be done about the air conditioner before I return.

The food was bad. cold soup, soggy sandwitch and we had to request the rest of our order. And wait for them to make 2 other orders before completing our order. 10 min into our meal, the staff turn the music up so loud, we had to ask her to turn it down. Then she started sweeping around us? Who wants that @ their food? It really didn't matter because the food wasn't worth trying to eat it. This is a lunch place? Then close after lunch, don't make customers suffer through bad food and worse customer service. We ate at Erik's on Tuesday, August 1st.

Ordered a couple of smoothies in this cafe that had exactly 2 customers at the time. Waited almost 15 minutes and finally enquired about what happened to my order. They had not even started preparing it but were happily chit-chatting in the back. They offered an immediate refund with a don’t care attitude and without any apology.
