Opiniones de Scratch Kitchen Glens Falls
Scratch Kitchen is fantastic. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care using quality ingredients. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. A great spot that we will definitely be returning to! Pictured Soup of the day, BBQ pulled pork chimichanga, French dip!
First time here and EVERYTHING was so fresh and delicious. I had the veggie bagel sandwich and homemade corn chowder which was the best I ever had. My hubs had the mango lentil salad and a tofu power bowl that was super tasty. Also, the staff was super pleasant and helpful :) We will be back soon!
First let me say that consistency with a restaurant is a key factor to making an honest review. Since my husband and I have frequently had breakfast at Scratch Kitchen I felt it was time to make my review. The food has always been spot on! The shrimp and grit cake were amazing! My husband wasn’t sure the burrito would be filling, however he was wrong. He shared how you can taste the unique flavors of the burrito. If you are looking for a typical breakfast- keep driving as the high quality of cuisine and unique combinations of the food is what you will get here! Yes, the place is small, however that’s what gives it a cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed each bite!
Great staff! Food was outstanding of this world on point. The shrimp & grits Patty was over the top! I e never had anything like it before. So good, fresh. Highly recommend!
Food was excellent! Expect to wait a bit on a busier day. The woman who took our order was very sweet and friendly. We had an iced latte, the loaded breakfast hash, the shrimp and grits, a cheesecake berry danish and the huevos rancheros burrito. Everything was delish and the pricing was reasonable.
Full disclosure: I have actually been here twice. Once for breakfast with my husband. And then a week later for lunch solo. First, the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming! You feel at home right away and comfortable asking questions about any item. My first trip for breakfast was awesome. I ordered the waffle "sandwich" which was absolutely delicious, as well as very filling. The husband ordered a breakfast sandwich and pronounced it the best he's ever had. I don't know how it's possible, but the bacon is also better than any other breakfast place I have been. We each ordered a muffin and actually ended up switching - I loved the banana chocolate one! Homefries also seasoned and cooked perfectly. My solo lunch was the Shrimp Burrito. I asked about the spice level, was reassured the heat was tolerable, and it absolutely was spot on. It was served with a side (I chose the macaroni salad - definitely recommend). The burrito was HUGE (in the best way possible). I really could have eaten half and brought the other half home. It was full of shrimp and filling and perfectly cooked. All in all, a great new addition to the Glens Falls restaurant scene and to Warren Street. *A third trip had me try yet another delicious lunch - photo included of the "Dad French Dip". Another outstanding choice along with the fries.
1st visit today for breakfast. Offered coffee right up while we decided on our order. Seated inside, one other group of 2. We were there early. When we left there was a line of folks ordering. Obviously the word is spreading on the great food coming out of this kitchen. We really enjoyed our choices of the shrimp and grits and the kitchen breakfast sandwich. Can’t forget the gluten free PB cookie- was wonderful! The coffee was good and refills at no additional cost. Very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be returning here again for breakfast and also for lunch.
Best avocado toast I've ever had, the seasoning was perfect, and even though I'm not a fan of spicy food, the sauce was just right. I loved the coffee too.
You see the picture of this amazing meal on google, how do you not go here?? Creative menus are ALWAYS few and far between. The place is so small and I wish they could make a larger patio (since the parking lot is not used for parking). I do not know where you are supposed to park, since I don't live in this town. My breakfast sandwich was wonderful and I wish this place much success! They seem very accommodating.
Delicious! We shared the BLT, mushroom soup, dumplings, french dip and corn salad. Every bite was delicious! Chef Denver has created a beautiful space with the perfect menu! Can’t wait to go back!

The food was excellent with complex flavors, and the simplicity of the space was delightful. Very thought out and organized Nothing is extraneous in such a small restaurant. The staff was very friendly. The food is so fresh. The deserts were not overpowering and sugary. What a nice surprise right in our neighborhood. We have been by here so many times, but decided to stop for lunch on our anniversary. I am glad we did. I will recommend this gem to everyone.
Lunch was amazing. The shrimp burrito had great flavors. The quinoa side salad was another win in itself. The Belgian fries as a side dish were some of the best fries I've ever had. A blueberry bar was thoroughly enjoyed later at home. I can't wait to go back!
What a find! Everything is home made and absolutely delicious. We were there for breakfast and had the loaded breakfast hash bowl (home fries were on point and well seasoned, and the home-made sausage included was so incredibly good) and the baked French toast (perfect custard, very fresh fruit, yummy cream cheese topping). Everything was so good we decided we had to also take away some of the to-go baked goods. The pistachio filled chocolate chip cookie may be the best cookie I have ever eaten. I wish wish wish we lived in the area, but we will gladly divert off the highway again to come back on our next trip through the area. So good. Prices are very fair. AND, the staff are super nice. Inside seating is limited, but they do have picnic tables outside for parties larger than 3.
My friend and I truly enjoyed this gem in Glens Falls. A perfect end to a day there visiting The Hyde and then grabbing a late lunch. The chef here is very talented and the food was not only generous but very delicious! Definitely coming back to try their breakfast menu (served until 11am). Nicki was very friendly and helpful.
Very clean, very calm and very welcoming. The hostess behind the counter was very friendly and the food was fantastic, healthy, and very obviously fresh. Will be back for sure. Also for what it is I think the prices are very reasonable as well. Since the food is made from scratch you may have to wait a little bit as this is not a McDonald's however I ordered 2 items and was out in about 20 to 25 min. If you are in a hurry just consider ordering ahead and problem solved.
Check it out very good food and service. Had been busy all AM headed for a relaxing lunch w my wife, and very happy to decided to go here. Went in and was immediately and pleasantly greeted. Offered a coffee straight away and my wife had an ice water, before we sat down. Had the menus and we looked it over chose the shrimp.and grits. Creamy w cheddar not overpowering just really flavor. The shrimp were savory the sauce really good . The plate had crumbled cheddar in the sauce and I was dabbing the bites in that. Leafy salad over the whole thing. Worked well together. The sauce from the shrimp w the salad. The building I've seen this place turned three times. How you've got the coffee and ice water at that station. Touch of home, love it so relaxed. Choice of beverages in the cooler. It's all there. Thank you I thoroughly enjoyed. Baked items also very good on the way out. Nicely decorated and all nice experience.
Driven by several times and always wanted to stop. I have zero regrets. The dining area is small and inviting, and the service is wonderful. The food is amazing, and I cant find anything to complain about. The chairs are ultra light so be careful when launching towards your food with excitement...they move quite easily!
We had the baked French toast with apples and it was delicious. Friendly service. Great visit. We will return to try their quiche soon.

Food was great. The plate combinations were satisfactory. Visually pleasing. The woman up front was super on top of things as best as she could be with volumes of people. She was slinging out coffees like a pro. Food is incredibly SLOW coming out of the kitchen. One kitchen employee kept coming out front and loitering too which was curious to me if you had plates to make, i have never seen that before. Waited about 45 minutes for food. Not a place I would go to if I was on a time limit (which i was not thankfully). Dining area is very small, limited tables outside as well.
I was surprised to see the overall star average for this place was 4.8. The place was small but nice and clean. The young lady working there was very polite and welcoming. The food, however, was average. The bacon in my loaded breakfast hash was over cooked. I enjoy variety but you’re limited to what’s on the menu here. I don’t recommend this place if you have a family of 4+.

The food was alright. I was excited because of the reviews but honestly was not worth the hype or the cost. Our food came to almost $80 for French toasts, bacon eggs and 2 loaded breakfast hash with 2 coffees. They did mess the meal up we had asked for scrambled eggs and they gave us fried eggs. I had told the server and she just looked at me and said “ok i can get u scrambled” but her tone and demeanor was giving oh well what do u want me to do about it. There was no apology or anything. The French toasts were soggy before adding syrup but the kids didn’t complain. It was cold and wet but there wasn’t any indoor seating available so we sat outside. The vibe and atmosphere just was off. Like the hospitality wasn’t there or anything. They didn’t check up on us after bringing the food to make sure it was to our liking. It was our first experience and most likely the last. They don’t have kids menus and when we first got here we didn’t know if we had to sit first or order or how they operate here. There’s no sign that says welcome or come in and just a door with operating hours. So if you do come here you seat yourself place your order inside and then make sure you have everything before sitting back down because they won’t check on u. Not worth the money, plus they upcharged me almost $2.00 for caramel flavor in my coffee but not informed of just reflected on the receipt after.
