Opiniones de Bob’s Off the Square Granbury
Where to begin. Bob is the best. He's the best gay bartender in all of North DFW. The bar is so fun and the drinks are absolutely fantastic. Loves his nipples played with rather than cash tips. #NipsForTips
Wow! This is THE place to go after dark. The bar is tiny on the inside, but warm and inviting. The back patio area is large and so much fun! The heaters, the fireplace, the couch-- you can't go wrong. Brandon is an incredible bartender and really knows how to make you feel like you're hanging out at your buddy's place after work. The cool Revolver touches really highlight the pride our town has for our local brewery. They have cornhole and Jenga out back, and will be putting dart boards in soon. Food, service, atmosphere: check!
Burgers are great! Service was on me...so I dropped a star..haha. That's not a reflection of their staff at all. We went on open mic night and were thoroughly entertained.
Fig burger is 1000/10. So goood.
So country. First time going there and it was a vibe !!
Quaint little place with big open patio with live music and karaoke. Taylor the bartender is awesome. Friendly and fabulous!!!
Honja was an amazing host. Super sweet, fast, friendly, great customer service skills and very professional!!! Live music was awesome! Had an amazing time!!
Great small venue for live music, on it's way to being the next MEMPHIS. Look them up, one of the BEST live music venues in Dallas. Food and adult beverages are awesome too!
Really enjoy Wednesday night bingo and the french fries were 👍
First time here. Got the little bobs sliders, which were great. Came with their fries, very good. Only note- get pickles! Pickles for your burgers!
Great food and free bands that are amazing! Big menu and great service. Dog friendly as well!
Fabulous Music venue, great food, staff attentive and professional.
Nice little bar to stop at on my harley and have a cold adult beverage. Bands are nice to listen to as well. Very relaxed..
Delicious burger and fried Ravioli! Friendly folks and awesome music! Be prepared to sit outside - only a few bar seats inside.
My husband and I went to Bob’s for a hamburger and it was over the top fantastic! The French fries and onion rings were delicious too. The band that was playing was awesome. Great experience at Bob’s. We will be back.
Great food, cold drinks and dog friendly! I was too late to hear the music but will definitely be back to check it out! Rolled the dice and asked the bartender to just surprise me food wise, chk/bacon/ranch wrap with swt potato fries, sooo good! I was certainly be going back!
Bob’s is my new favorite place in Granbury. Some of the best bar food I’ve ever had, lovely servers, and a back patio that is cool even on these 100+ days. Will be making it back weekly.
This place has Pho Monday and Tuesday and it is the real deal! Small indoor bar area and plenty of seating out back with live music some days and open Mic night on Wednesdays. I have had different flavors of their huge chicken wings and they are fantastic! The Pho is amazing too. You can play darts, corn hole and more. Drinks are spot on as well.
Best place in a 4 county area! Beers are high dollar but the well vodka is cheap. The food is fantastic. The location is awesome. Update 5/1/2020... Love the small design after the quarantine... But the MUSIC HAS TO GO.... TOO LOUD! Bob's is great bc we can socialize and hang out. This is louder than most bars in Deep Ellum!
I called Bob's at last minute to arrange to propose to my girlfriend when I learned Grady Spencer and the Work were playing. Everybody including the manager, the owner, bartenders, staff and patrons were so wonderful and made our evening so incredibly special! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. And she said "Yes!"
First of all the band was amazing. Shout out to Jackie and the crew. What a great atmosphere what great customer service and certainly a treat and a special unique hole in the wall in Granbury texas.. you just thought there was nothing to do here Blessings, Storm
Friendly staff, chill vibe, good drinks, and a good time.
Look I'm giving it 5 stars because of the staff and food are on point. The patio is absolutely awesome in the summer and winter. Downfalls of this place....the drinks are 7th street prices but given the location you can expect it... it's on the square. Also if you're not a fan of live music such as myself then it might not be for you. By live music I mean an old guy with a acoustic guitar playing the same songs or if you're lucky enough you'll get the dude who trys to hard to be like Koe Wetzel. Which it's normally loud so be warned. Over all though one of the best places in town to drink and eat.
Went and seen b-ray and the humans. They were amazing. The place was fun. It was early (1to4)so the crowd was good. Had a great time.
This is a really cool spot. Food looked good. Had a live band in the back. Several different areas to sit and eat or relax. Price's where also decent. Service was great. A definite recommend.
The band: B Ray & the humans was a excellent three piece band. We heard them from the street and decided to stay only for a song. After drinks, food, and a hour & a half later, we left when they took a break! Their rendition of brick house, blues, rock n roll, andmany other songs put them over the top!
We visit here pretty regularly on Saturday afternoon's to enjoy the music of B-Ray and the Humans. Food is always good, bar staff is friendly and efficient. Definitely a fun way to spend a Saturday!
One of the few places that consistently has good music and bar food that wasn't just tossed in an air fryer! They've really turned this place around. I stop in almost every time I go to the square!
The BBQ burger was fantastic - huge, flavorful, messy, and delicious! The sweet potato fries were tasty too. Friendly staff who made it pleasant to be there. Ate on the back patio - love that it's shady but still breezy. It was lunchtime in a Sunday - not super busy. We'll definitely go back!
We were having a wonderful time listening to music and my grandaughter fell and knocked my salad to the ground. We had excellent service already, but I did not expect them to replace the salad, not their fault, but they did, without a word. The music and the staff are awesome and the strawberry salad is my absolute favorite!
Great food, Friendly service, and Cozy atmosphere! We had the Philly cheese and caprese avocado along with a few beers. We will definitely return to eat again and check out their live music!
Went for karaoke (Wednesdays), the atmosphere is comfortable, people are nice, B-ray on karaoke didn't disappoint, and neither did the service or the Bob's Freaking Fig Burger! This burger is one of the absolute best I've tasted! It's a must!
Bob's is the spot for nightly local music scene. There's music every night, whether its a live band, karaoke, or open mic. Food is excellent. The Fig burger was beyond expectations. All of the staff is amazing and go out of their way to make sure patrons are cared for. There's a reason the locals are here almost every night!
I have eaten at Bob’s too many times to count. Always a lively atmosphere with excellent service. Add to that live music and spacious seating areas, you have the best eatery in Granbury center. I have also noticed a fully stocked bar (I do not drink). Parking can be a challenge when the Square is busy. However the church across the street is welcoming to motorcycles and cars. Please remember to keep your waste in control as the wind blows it away while dining outside!
Good food and cold drinks. The space is limited inside, but the outside patio is awesome. Flies were not cool. But that is not their fault. They were doing their best to keep them at bay. I definitely liked the place.
The burgers are the best!! The Flatwinders or Sweet Potato fries are my personal favorite sides, however they do offer regular crinkle cut and Tater Twirls for other fried choices. The French Dip, Roberto's Italian Melt, and Adult Grilled Cheese are also so of my top favorites!
Burgers and onion rings were very good. Enjoyed being there great service.
We live in Fort Worth but come out here when ScanT is playing… great 80’s cover band by the way. There isn’t a lot of seating outdoors but if you’re coming for a show you can reserve seating and they try to accommodate special requests. Great place… try it!
Wemt at lunch time no wait. Had the patty melt it was nice and juicey. Husband had the cheeseburger. Said it was really good. Bith had onion rins for the side. Ordered the appetizer sampler 4 different items 2 of armadillo eggs, 3 jalapeño poppers, 3 tatir kegs and 3 monzarell sticks. Had 4 diffrent dip9ing sauces with it.. All good. All made fresh. Will return when in town.
We almost didn’t go in because it looks small on the outside but it’s such a cute place with a covered patio out back. I had a super delicious fig burger with seeet potato fries and my daughter had quesadillas. We both thought our food was great and the employees were all very nice. 👍
Local bar with good food. Customizable burgers with Sourdough buns. Try the fig bugmrger if you want to try somwthing different. Seemed to have a great personality. Met a few of the people and they were pleasant. Good burger comes with twisted fries, regular, tots or onion rings. Full bar regular events and beingnets! Near the center of town so you can make a day of it.
I'll complain first. Wish the bun(Spurdough) was toasted or cooked a little more. The lemonade was not very good. A single beer was $6.75. It's a bar. Military/first responders discpint was 15%. The burger was very good. They have many options of potatoes. Duck wings were good. Onion rings as well. Outside dining and some room in the back. Just off the main square so you can walk there if you parked somewhere else. Plenty of parking around the side.
Not the typical bar food....very good!! Try the Patty Melt, ask for caramelized onions & extra cheese. The jalapenos poppers & fried mushrooms are also good & the Habanero Ranch is gooood. The armadillo eggs are ok. There is a bar outside & and inside, so that's nice & the back patio is spacious.
The food is delicious!! My husband had Bob’s burger and I had the chicken salad sandwich. We both had the side winders and it was all soooo yummy! We also had fried pickles and they were the best we’ve ever had! They had a band playing on Fri night and we would’ve loved to have stayed and listened but it was over 100 and way too hot! Great atmosphere and friendly service!
First time ordering a burger from Bob's and I was not disappointed by any means. The build is tall as it is wide, patty was not overly cooked, juicy, fresh, cold vegetables, hot, crispy chips, with a frosty beer makes for a great meal for the price. Five stars, I recommend Bob's off the square.
I went to Bob’s Friday night. The atmosphere was electric, music was FANTASTIC, and this is something Granbury desperately needs. I would give it 5 stars but two things DESPERATELY need to be addressed. First, the menu does not offer anything gluten free or vegan. I get it, bar food. But a tossed dinner salad (without meat or cheese on it) would be appreciated. Maybe a gluten free bun for the French dip or something that isn’t breaded would be awesome. Secondly, and this is HUGE, is the lack of a women’s only bathroom. If you are a guy, you won’t get it. But I need you to know the absolute rage and disgust I feel walking into a bathroom that a) has been used by a man I don’t know and b) that man has inconsiderately left the seat up. No woman wants to deal with this. Bob needs to have one men’s and one woman’s bathroom instead of two gender neutral bathrooms. This is something that I absolutely abhor. Please fix it Bob. Other than those two issues Bob’s is a huge hit! Glad to see something like this in Granbury.
Foords good. Staff is friendly. BUT, music outback is way too loud. Can't even talk to each other. I like a live band but dang, turn down a bit.
The cocktails were outstanding! The tater legs and Texas dog with and egg was very good! The backyard is a nice setting and the service was excellent!
Random day trip to Grandbury from Dallas with hubby.Stumbled upon this place everyone was very welcoming.Service was excellent.Enjoyed the patio shaded and chill.Had a couple drinks and appetizers.I recommend the Armadillo eggs we loveed them 😍.
My wife and I had heard very good reviews for Bob's off the square. And I can see how it could be a very enjoyable place. However, we were there right before dinner time and the temperature was probably still in the low hundreds or high 90s. Since the seating is outdoor, it was no surprise that the place was basically empty. They did have fans and misters going which helped tremendously but still it was a little warm. My wife and I split a burger and sweet potato fries. Both were excellent. I think Bob's would be a great place when the live music is playing and there's a crowd. We were just a little too early dinner timing.
My son and I went expressly for Karaoke. I was amazed by the amount of great talent there. We had a great time. The venue was outside, and I got a little warm. The bathrooms were uni sex so there was no problem using the facilities.
Bob's is a nice little place to get good good and a beer. 5 of us went and we all liked everything we had, except the armadillo balls, they would have been fabulous except they were burnt 🥵. They have live bands almost every night. It's all outdoor seating, they do have fans but when it's hot and humid out nothing is s going to help. So if you want to sit inside somewhere cool it's not here. There is only 1 small bar table inside. They also have bean bag games. Service was very good.
Bob's is an excellent addition to the growing social scene in beautiful downtown Granbury. The classic old building and back yard beer garden creates an inviting casual environment for light dining and recreational beverages. The wings are very good and the wait staff is always friendly. My only recommendation is for management to improve the outside wait times. Wait staff are sometimes slow to take food orders outside and deliver. Other than that, this place is fantastic and I highly recommend it for live music as well.
Angela was our server and she was awesome! Super tasty fig jam burger and some cold beers with a nice view. 🍻🍔
Pleasantly surprised with this place off the square. It seems small when you look at it from the street, but the back patio area is very nice, with a larger seating area. We didn’t expect to find live music there. That was a plus for sure. The outside back patio atmosphere is very cozy, with different options on where to seat including sofas. We were glad that we finally checked this place out. We will certainly be coming back. We ordered stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon, chicken wings, sliders and beignets. Food was good, and served in a timely manner, staff was very friendly. Fun spot.
I imagine the burgers were good, unfortunately wasn't able to eat my burger hot n fresh.. Fries were great even somewhat cold .. Waited to long to eat my order. Will have to try again service was great 10+.
Might be better on a Saturday night if you just went for drinks and the music. The outside patio is fantastic but only 2 maybe 3 servers trying to get the whole patio taken care of. And when you go as a single diner you tend to get put last on the list. I had a French Dip sandwich, it was piled high with meat but it was not seasoned very well, a little bland for my taste. The fries were delicious and my drink was strong. Fyi a double is a full glass so if you are driving take care! I would like to try this place again in daytime. It does have a limited menu but that doesn't bother me, many restaurants do as a business plan just dont expect a huge lavish menu it is basically a pub after all!
Good service at the bar. They had live music there but still played other music over the speakers on the patio and inside, which I found a little disrespectful to the band. There wasn't enough propane for the heaters which was a little disappointing. The jalepeno breaded cheese curds were really good. We will definitely be going back!
Have been dying to go and finally did last night. Mainly a bar. Very small inside. Outdoors is nice with lots of areas to sit. Most staff is friendly. Not enough people to clean up after people leave., Old drinks everywhere getting knocked over. And do not smoke on the porch you will get rudely told don't you see the signs above your head. No matter of fact I didn't and no one seemed to care that there was another person fully on the porch smoking. I probably would have seen them if there was any room on the porch to actually enjoy it. I was just trying to stand by the pit on the steps because it was a bit cold. I'll go back to see about the food and change rating then. Overall it was nice. Not too young of a crowd.
They look small but don’t let it fool you. They have a bar once you get inside and then a bar outside on the patio. They have live bands lots of seating. Great atmosphere, they even have free salty snacks if your a little too tipsy. Did not try any food while I was there drinks are average. I will say they have issues with their payment system. One review said they double charged her and that did happened to us as well. Also wasn’t accepting a valid card I used at another bar. So I would highly suggest bring cash to avoid a headache.
Went for a concert. I called about reservations and was told they weren't taking reservations for this event. Asked what time to get there to get a seat, and I was told about three hours before show time. Showed up about 6, and was quite rudely told that If we didn't have reservations, we couldn't get in. We would not have driven over an hour to get there, if we were told that over the phone, when I asked. While we were in the front deciding what to do, many other people came in. They were also rudely spoken to. I do have friends who have been there to eat. They said the food was good, but pricey for what you got.
Went to Bob's Off the Square and was not impressed. There is almost no seating indoors so we had to sit on the outside patio. Although large fans mitigated the Texas heat somewhat, a literal swarm of flies descended on our table when the food arrived. The worst part is that they insisted on running our credit card BEFORE WE EVEN GOT OUR FOOD despite the fact we were paying cash. I now have a pending $25 charge on my credit card that is supposed to come off. Why do they need to "run a tab" when no one in our party of 4 were drinking alcohol? The only reason I rated them a 2 instead of a 1 is because my Adult Grilled Cheese sandwich was tasty. . .but not good enough to offset all the negatives of this establishment.
Pretty sure they replace their liquor with h2o, and they only care about the regulars. Totally fine- but just a warning for those passing through. They WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE of you and there isn’t much you can do about it. I would recommend bottled instead of mixed drinks. Music and atmosphere were chill. But the bar was not it.
Where do we start? I want to believe the bad service was from being short-staffed, but honestly they could have limited the amount of guests to accommodate. Although it didn't take long to get seated, we didn't receive menus for almost 10 minutes, and that's because we had to go look for them... and our drink order wasn't taken for a while either. It did take almost 25 minutes to receive our food and the food wasn't as great as it was recommended. Just to name a few... The cheese on my French Dip wasn't fully melted, the club sandwich was just thrown together, and the wings were not "jumbo". The place definitely has potential if there's a little more effort put into it.
Eeh... I’ve been hearing about it and finally checked it out. Very disappointed ☹️ It took forever to get our food, which I don’t mind if it’s good... but this wasn’t. It’s definitely more of a bar than a grill. Most of the people at the table next to us were drunk at 12:30pm. I guess if you have enough to drink anything tastes good. Even the cook was helping himself to drinks on tap. Sorry, but this was a “one and done” for me.
My wife and I our first time going there. Very bad Experience beer was warm. The tea tastes like Sugar water The ranch addressing was watered down so bad. You couldn't even taste The ranch. We got the garlic palmers wings that was so salty. I felt my arteries clogging up. We will not be going back.
All of the fried foods have very thick batter and it all tasted like old fry oil. The burger was very dry and the bacon, if you can call it that was almost a 1/4 inch thick hunk of ham that was fried.
I looked on Bob’s website for the night’s band. No cover charge was listed. I called Bob’s and was told there was no cover charge. My husband and I came to Bob’s and were required to pay a $5 cover charge. There is a small bar up front only you can sit at without paying the cover charge. This should have been made clear!!! Be sure to reserve a table if you want to come for a band.
Beware last call shut off is 11:30. Don't expect to get a drink on the fly. The staff is to busy closing tabs and taking shots. This is my neighborhood bar and I got brushed of, very rudely. Disappointed.
Sunday 8/11/24. Went at 8 PM. Closed with doors locked. Wrong business hours. Google is wrong. Their Facebook page is wrong. They even had a sign that said "OPEN" on the restaurant but no one was there.
This is a bar not a bar and grill. Once you sit at a table for 10 mins someone will rudely ask for an alcohol order. You have to beg for a menu and are looked at like that’s the first time someone has wanted to eat. The waitress was put out at the idea and stated you pay before you get the food. Won’t ever be back.
Cool place to chill out with live music. Decent food, horrible nasty restroom on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Dirty floors and broken toilet seat. Completely disgusting! Won't ever go back!
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. We had a large group for a birthday and we were drinking. No one was intoxicated whatsoever but they proceeded to cut people off and berate us until we left. We will never be back.
As someone who has lived in granbury for years the bobs staff has always been horribly rude. They cater specifically to regulars and are disrespectful to everyone else. Specially the server named Claire has been repeatedly inattentive and rude to my family and I while ordering. There was a girl with purple hair who was horribly loud and disruptive to the customers. She may work there as well since the servers did nothing to retain her.
This place is absolutely horrible if you drink 3 drinks the women owner thinks you are drunk when in reality she is the one drunk but she will cut you off!!! If your looking to have a good time go to silver saddle
Went here early on a Saturday night, and we were seated by a guy out back on the patio, he took our drink order and all was fine. Half way through our drink a different waitress came up and told us that we had to move because due to the live band all tables had been reserved (why was this not mentioned when we were seated?) After moving to the front, yet another different waitress came up and was very rude asking for a credit card to open a tab. We just asked for the check....wont be back. Rude. Unprofessional. Don't waste your money or time here.
Went in yesterday around 5pm with my husband and my father. There was some music on the patio, but we wanted to sit inside where there were only a couple of people at the bar. We sat there for five minutes ready and waiting to order drinks. We saw a total of five employees, not one of whom greeted us, took an order, or acknowledged us in any way until we decided to leave. As we were walking out the door, that's when two of them finally spoke to us to tell us to have a good day.
The quality of this place has taken a nosedive since the new owner took over. Servers ignore patrons who aren't their friends and the bouncer is violent and encourages fights (as long as its in front of the establishment and not inside) The bouncer (named Scott) also threatens patrons with physical violence himself when he can't think of words to use. Unless you are into physical violence, don't come to bobs
I've been here a couple of times for drinks. The music, location, and atmosphere is great, but the service is the worst. I couldn't even order my own drink at the bar this last time, so I immediately left. I headed to the live music behind Silver Saddle for a much better experience.
My daughter and I went here for lunch and it's the first restaurant I've seen without a single employee wearing a mask since the state mandate. There were 3 employees working and it did not seem busy. When we received our orders they were both wrong, my daughters did not include the side the menu states comes with it and my sandwich was not prepared how I requested. Despite being particular I am usually understanding so I approached the staff at the bar who was pulling double duty as the bartender/waitress and even sometimes had to cover host as the host would randomly disappear leaving people waiting at the door. When I approached she seemed frustrated and told me that the menu was wrong about my daughters side, but that she would fix my meal. They did not remake my sandwich, simply pulled it apart and gave it back to me. Luckily I am only particular about taste and texture and do not have a medical condition. I sent the sandwich back and the previous mentioned staff member removed it from our ticket and remained professional despite obviously being upset about the event. If they are not enforcing employees to wear masks and are in the habit of doing anything to save a buck I wonder what other corners or health precautions are being cut.
We made our first visit today, around 5:15Pm. The waitress in the bar was great. We ordered the chips and Queso for starters, it was good. However our dinner choices were not as good. We ordered the Frito Pie, It was covered in chuncks of tomatoes and onions and was terrible. We also ordered the philly cheese steak Sandwich, I was only able to eat about a 1/4 of the sandwich, before feeling good.My husband is sick tonite from the Frito Pie, Needless to say, we will not be returning and would not recommend!
Was our first time there. Very disappointed! The place is VERY SMALL, but had patio seating where we were told the heaters weren't working. Someone was cleaning off one of the 4 or 5 inside tables and we sat there because it was the only one available but he never returned to wipe the crumbs from the table. We asked what kind of beer they had in bottles and our "server" said everything, so we asked for Bud Light Platinum.....they didn't have it. So we settled for Bud Light and were asked for a card to start a tab, we told her we wanted to order food as well. She ask if we wanted a food menu...."yes please" she gave us A menu! Our drinks arrived, bottled beer mind you.... They were FLAT..... SERIOUSLY? We waited and waited and waited to give our food order while our server carried on a very long conversation with the table next to us, totally disregarding me when I would make eye contact while tapping my fingers on the table impatiently. She finally comes over only to ask if everything was ok.....um yea, sure....she asked if we wanted to order, which by this time we had changed our minds. While finishing our FLAT BEERS I noticed the cook was bringing out the food that the so called servers should have been bringing out. Needless to say, we paid our tab of almost $11 for TWO beers! Obviously the gratuity was already included! NO, WE WON'T GO BACK!
Tonight my friend and her son attempted to come to your restaurant enticed by the "good to see you" add I recieved by text for the $7.00 hamburger deal. We waited in the front, unsure about whether we seat ourselves or what. After about 5 minutes one employee finally acknowledged us and told us to seat ourselves and someone would be with us shortly. We sat at the corner couch on the right. Not a single employee ever came by. One kept making eye contact with me but never stopped. My friend got up and went to the counter after no one came. She was totally ignored at the counter as well. Even after saying "excuse me" to the waiter AND bartender. They both ignored her. She came back and sat back down. Still absolutely no employee approached us. The male waiter was waiting and checking every table, except ours. So we left after sitting for nearly 30 minutes with no acknowledgment from a single employee. Deplorable way to run a business! I personally will not set foot in this establishment again and will tell everyone I know of this experience.
Burgers overcooked, fries and rings overcooked, very slow... The family that ordered immediately before us was able to receive and eat their food before ours was ready. Possibly if the cook wasn't vaping outside the food might be better. On the way out we observed that a grilled cheese waiting for someone to pick it up was burned along with their fries. No table service. Our table was only partially cleaned and she never came back to remove the glasses from the previous people who left. Was not overly busy. They have you pay and leave a gratuity at the very beginning so there's no incentive for you to receive good service after you've already tipped for it. Maybe they should rethink their business model to encourage repeat customers. Was not impressed.
Went in for lunch and the cook was arguing with the bartender very loudly. Playing music off their phones on the sound system. Not that I didn't like the music, but the place is very small and it just didn't work for me. Went back another night with friends and very little seating. They have community style seating on the patio area, but the longer I stayed the more obvious it was that this place is just a bar. And a college town style bar at that. Witnessed an entire group get overserved to the point they became obnoxious. This appeared to be the norm. Surprised the city is letting this place continue. I know many in the waitstaff that are good folks and came over here to work, but unfortunately I don't think this place at least in it's current form is long for Granbury.
Horrible service! Me and my family came to eat here and the server was giving us attitude and messing up everyone’s order.. when I went inside to politely asked to fix my order the server rolled her eyes at me and demanded the cook to not make me a side. The cook also had a strong attitude and rudely stated “no, he ordered the buffalo” when I don’t even eat buffalo sauce. Never coming back again and really hope the company replaces the staff for a more family and friendly staff.
