Adorable coffee shop. Cozy vibes and friendly staff. Nikki is phenomenal! One of the times I have visited, there was a painting class happening with ample room to sit and chat with whoever I came with. Love this location and its my go to for coffee in the area
My go to stop for coffee when i am in the area. Amazing bearclaws!! Opens early which is perfect for me because i need to be at work early.
Best breakfast burritos, hands down. Just stoped by randomly looking for something to wake me up and eat- their potato, egg, cheese and pork burritos is to die for. They also just started used a little grill for these and they crispy flour tortilla was so amazing. I think their salsa is house made? But it had the most perfect kick to it! Definitely recommend!!! Their chai is also really really good
Lovely cafe, extremely friendly staff. I Got a brown sugar latte, a breakfast burrito and both were quite good. They also have a community library with some very interesting reads.
The best mocha and friendliest staff around. The breakfast burritos are delicious as are the bakery goodies. On a weekend morning I especially enjoy sitting and reading a local newspaper while drinking my coffee
Hands down they make the best americano I can find in RP, and cotati area ( perhaps even in petaluma and santa rosa) It was fresh, bold, velvety and deep. However pastries are meh.
Stopped in for a coffee while in the area for work. Staff was friendly, service was fast and my Butterscotch Latte was fabulous. I debated between my oldie but goodie-white mocha and that. Perfect choice. My blueberry and cream cheese danish was delicious. I love checking out local shops and eateries while I travel for work. I know I will be back in a few months. This will be a definite stop. FyI, I stopped at a bagel place the day before and my white mocha was made with steamed milk and some powder mix. Thank you for being creative and true to the coffee experience, Johnny Javas. See you soon...
Johnny's is the best cafe in Rohnert Park/Cotati. Bruce and Nikki are wonderful, the coffee beverages are consistent and delicious, and the food too. The pastries and breakfast burritos are excellent.
Great coffee and tasty treats for the road.
Good coffee. Great atmosphere!

Great place on the way to Cloverdale, but the chia was a little too hot for me.

Great ambiance, easy parking, friendly and professional staff. The cappuccino I had was made well (the right amount of foam to esspresso ration and etc) but the esspresso quality was unimpressive. Bitter and low on flavor. Probably just an off shot though so still 4 stars.

Food is pretty good. I don't think they make it there though. The coffee is on par with pretty much all the other coffee shops in town. I got an Americano and they made it wrong, kind of a picky thing on my side but it was okay.
It seemed the staff really didn't care whether I gave my business or not. With a drive ahead of me, I was looking for good cup of jo and an easy to handle treat while driving. The coffee and oat bar were fine. No need to be welcoming to new customers when you've got your regulars 🤔
I do like the place it's a little locally owned coffee shop has great coffee only three stars because they advertise gluten-free food but usually it's only a very very chocolatey decadent brownie, yet when you're looking for gluten-free pastry in the morning don't look there.

I finally visited Johnny's Java after passing by many times. The cafe is clean, and well laid-out within the space, although the decor and furniture is a bit dated. There was a nice selection of muffins and pastries which all looked tasty (although I didn't try any I was happy to see there were both vegan and gluten-free options). What soured my visit was that the coffee I had was NOT good (tasted burnt), and also the pricing scheme was a bit absurd. To get a large coffee in to-go cup is $3 (totally reasonable); wanting to be environmentally conscious, and since I was sticking around to do some work, I asked for a "for here" mug, which was small, maybe 8 oz. The cost for this was $2.75, and then a refill was another $1.75...so I ended up paying more for that than of I had just gotten a large to-go cup since in the end it would be the same amount of coffee.

WORST MATCHA IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE STAFF UNFRIENDLY AND HORRENDOUS PRICES. My friend and I came in and we bought one of their specials which was a cinnamon spice Matcha and then we ordered a lavender vanilla Matcha both were awful and the women working was extremely unfriendly from the moment we walked in.
Sick and tired of this place and there ridiculous hours. Closing at noon is wild in 2024 I am sick of it. They NEVER make an acception. It's like there rushing to get out of a 5 hours shift at best. Considering they have such a hard time with simple coffe orders and there burritos have a huge amount of sodium I am not coming back
