Visiting New York and used resy to find this yummy Thai food restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the service was wonderful we had about 4 different servers lol they made sure we were taken care of and our food came out perfectly with the appetizers, soup and then main course. The drinks were on point and delicious. We had the mango mojito and espresso martini for drinks and for food we had the fried mushroom, crab rangoon, peanut dumplings and coconut soup with shrimp. The main course we had the lemongrass pork chops and shrimp/chicken pad thai. Everything was very delicious and great portions for 3 people we took food home. For dessert we had the fried banana and coconut ice cream 😋 Would definitely come back and try other food on the menu!
Love this place. We had valentines dinner here, and let me tell you the staff are very attentive and involved. They care about giving you the best experience and we were the last people to leave the restaurant and they didn’t rush us out. Whatever we needed or wanted they did without hesitation. The food is very flavorful and delightful. Our meals came out quick which we were excited about. Thank you for being a beacon of hospitality by south street seaport.
My husband and I were here visiting from Chicago. It was snowy outside and we wanted something warm. This was the perfect spot. The food was truly the best Thai we ever had, the atmosphere inviting and service impeccable (shoutout to Bee). He also gave us tea to take home since it was cold outside. Highly recommend.
Awesome Thai restaurant 🇹🇭 very fresh, tasty and rich 👍🏻 nice location and friendly people. Like it much and recommend to go 😍
The owner(?) had us rate the restaurant 5 stars before we ate, in exchange for a free drink. However, I wouldn't give this 5 star review unless I believe the restaurant truly deserved it. After being asked to give the good review, I immediately became skeptical and realized that that was the reason the restaurant had 4.8 stars. Nonetheless, we hoped for the best and were not disappointed! I ordered the pad see ew, which came out hot in a large portion, with a good amount of each ingredient. The noodles were wide and soft, capturing all the flavour and contributing to the delicious dish. I was thoroughly satisfied with this dish and my friends were happy with theirs: the pineapple fried rice and the pork cutlet. Everyone had leftovers at the end, and we enjoyed a nice meal before boarding our flight early in the morning. The thai iced tea was very tasty as well, and extra delicious since it was free. Finally, the ambiance of this restaurant is beautiful with tons of decorations and fake trees, flowers, etc. We had a great meal and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice Thai place to have lunch or dinner!
We came across this cute place during our trip to New York. It is close to WTC, close to the Brooklyn bridge and in the heart of financial district. The food was amazing, not only was it delicious, but the portion size was big. Also, they had very pretty decor enhancing their overall vibe.
We went for an early dinner. Had appetizers and each of us ordered a main dish ... It was a lof of food! (We had leftovers of all main dishes) Absolutely delicious. You can ask for your level of spiceness, I of course had "Thai hot". For Manhattan, this is a treasure at three levels: service, quality and price. Absolutely recommend!
“I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. The chicken basil sauce was juicy and well-seasoned. Service was quick and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made it a comfortable place to dine. Prices were fair for the quality. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed meal.”
I frequent this place for lunch and I have had several dishes here already and they have not disappointed! The food is very flavorful, the staff is nice, and the ambiance is great. The place is really nicely decorated. Today I decided to go with the Basil sautéed and chicken. The lunch special is great and it includes soup or salad with your entree. This meal cost me about $16 not including tip. And as you can see they weren’t cheap with the protein! Definitely recommend coming here.
This was the best Thai restaurant I’ve been through and I’ve traveled many places choosing Thai as my cuisine of choice so I know good and excellent Thai this place is Exceptional! The ambience is warm and inviting and then the waitress Jane comes out and she’s full of joy and all genuine smiles! When the food comes out it wows you from the first taste! Just an amazing array of flavors well coinciding. I give this place 2 thumbs up and refer it to anyone downtown looking for a date night spot! I dated myself and it was a score so I can only imagine with someone of interest how good this experience would be!
Wow what a gorgeous restaurant! Came in on a pretty slow Saturday night, the hostess was on the phone but managed to seat us while she was still busy. We had the crab ragoons as an appetizer, very delicious and flavorful. Our entrees were the pad see ew and drunken noodles, both of which were delicious and very healthy portions. The ambience was wonderful as well, although the wait staff could’ve been slightly more attentive (I’d finished my beer but no one, even though the restaurant was slow, came over to ask me for a second). Could see myself returning again at some point in the future
he had us rate 5 stars for free thai tea before we even ate, and the teas are amazing I’ll give them that. I ordered the lunch drunken noodle that came with an unknown soup. It was tomato, cucumber, cabbage, carrots, and onion in hot water. The drunken noodle was good, I got it mild knowing even that would still be enough spice and the only thing is that the noodles were a bit mushy. My friend who ordered the crab fried rice was disappointed in the portion of crab, it only came with maybe 6 pieces and the rice was a bit bland. And then my other friend ordered the Pad Thai and it was good, sweeter, but I think that’s how it’s supposed to be with the peanut. Overall pretty good.
It was so good that we left our show at Pier 17 for it. My friend has been here multiple times and vouched for it. Chicken green curry was off the hook. Beautiful use of ginger, lemongrass and mixed vegetables. Nice spice on the green curry. If you are in the seaport area this should be your next meal.
Perfect experience eating here today. The atmosphere and decor is very calming and charming. The food was very delicious and I loved the massaman curry. Order the Thai ice tea too. The lunch specials are a good value for the area. The main menu has a wide variety of options and there is a full bar where you can come for drinks. I’ve been to Thailand and have tried the majority of Thai places in the city. This place is the real deal for a great food and cozy experience.
Surprisingly great food, nice service (maybe a bit too eager to clear our plates) and great plant vibe. Not the greatest walking through a dishes station but such is life. Having lived in Thailand for a while, I’d say the food is on the authentic side of things. Very delicious and tastefully plated. Showed up at 2pm on Saturday and no line. Looks like good drinks but didn’t try. Would visit again if in the area. Decent bathrooms.
Awesome amazing taste and great ambience. A great sit down place with large variety. Red curry with Tofu is really delicious. Thai tea is also simply great!! Food portion is huge! Single serving of curry easily serves at least 3 people 😊 and it’s not pricey, definitely value for money Recommended for vegetarians too. A must try place for Thai food lovers in downtown
Good chicken basil and quantity for the price. Could have been spicier. Full disclosure for review comparison integrity: they run a promotion where you get free tea for a review. Manager takes your phone and pre-populates with 5s, then encourages you to submit before the food even arrives. I wish he'd wait until after you've actually been able to eat the food before asking if you've submitted the review.
Surprised by the price and quality of food! Portion is huge and service is quick. Stay with regular menu and order typical Thai food. Pad Thai w shrimp was really good! Drunken noodle was freshly made and delicious! Whole fried snapper was special dish but it was not cooked too well. It was dried out and didn’t have much fish meat. Green curry had lots of broth but it was delicious with jasmine rice. One of the best Thai iced tea!! Overall good food and had very reasonable pricing.
I got lunch to-go here and thought that it was just okay. I ordered their duck pad see ew and thought that it lacked a bit in flavor. It was also an additional $13 for duck and thought that the amount of duck I got (5 thin pieces) wasn't really worth it. Their salad rolls were also really thick, hard, and unevenly cut while their mango stick rice came with really thin and dry slices of mango. Overall, I wouldn't really recommend.
You've been warned! Yes, we also thought 4,8 rating was a guarantee for good food, we ha ha ha what a joke. Worst Thai food in our lives. We have been to Thailand many times and also in Europe we visited some great Thai restaurants. Staff is ok, decor is ok. Food is terrible. We had a range of dishes, and all were bad. A lot of sugar and salt, nothing fresh. - tom yam kung: fishy and salty - panang curry with duck (pay 12 euro for 5 slices of duck.. wow): huge bowl with a lot of water. No spice - spicy wings: hard fried showing it has been frozen too long. Sweet not spicy. We left half - shrimp spring rolls: as our daughter said, 'too watery', I mean it is deep fried. - happy hour cocktails, it sounds great unless the drinks are nothing like how the drink should be. Sangria is just a sugary red drink and the mango mojito same, just mango juice which my wife left after drinking half. What a waste - true jasmin rice has great smell and flavor, this wasn't it My belly hurts :( Why not go through the Google maps reviews of recent and there are too many 5* reviews without details from people with no record..
Pretty bad Thai food, drunken noodle tasted like it was just smothered in Thai sweet chili sauce. Apps tasted super deep fried and not fresh. Wouldn’t recommend. Idk where these good reviews came from. Way better Thai elsewhere in the city.
I ordered from this place expecting good food based on google reviews , I don’t know how the service and food is in person I imagine it’s way better because they don’t want any complaints , I ordered home delivery and it was disgrace to Thai food and this restaurant should be ashamed of themselves . Pad Thai is a basic Thai meal as far as know it was pale no flavor and the chicken looked like printed or 3d chicken , I also ordered a Thai ice tea which taste like it was sitting out for days or I got a left over ice tea from a customer that didn’t drink it all. I can only speak for home delivery I don’t recommend this place , put effort into your home delivery customers too and I also forgot to add my stomach was messed up and my fiancé stomach was messed up as well and actually vomited .
I was scrolling through reviews about this restaurant while waiting for our food and literally saw somebody mentioned that this place bought fake reviews. I don’t want to assume things but OMG how come this restaurant gets 4.8 ratings when their food is mediocre at most with small portions and expensive price like this. I understand that their location could cause the prices to be higher but at least please make the food good. They really need to hire new cooks or do something. Their Pad See Ew is the worst Pad See Ew I’ve ever had in my life: so bland and unseasoned; the noodles are still even white-ish, where’s the soy sauce? Even the service here is incompetent and they watch you like hawks, which made me and my partner so uncomfortable 😒
