Affordable, friendly, a real community of folks that remember your name, live the fact they host events throughout the year, may it be thanksgiving, st Patrick’s etc to karaoke and live djs on certain days, I love all vinyl Sunday night oldie shows.

Fun little hole in the wall, the crowd is great- good mix of varying age ranges. (No one likes between surrounded by all freshman on spring break or to feel like you're in a crypt). The bartender was fantastic and she made awesome drinks! Will def go again.

Had a great time last Saturday night.I've lived her for over 20 years and didn't know it was here. That's a good thing, doesn't get Rowdy enough to call the cops and be in the paper. This is a nice neighborhood bar and socialize if you want. Oh, the band was awesome!

Wanted to go to a little dive bar and we found a gem. The bartender Jeanette is a super sweet lady and she made us some good cocktails too. I Can't say enough about the locals. Everybody in there made us feel so very welcomed. Made some good friends and look forward to seeing them again. We will definitely be back next time we're in Hayward area. Customers are always super friendly as well as the staff but thats not the best part of the dark horse experience, oh no its not! The owner is unbelievably beautiful and super SUPER friendly and professional. Even tho she's waaaaaaaaaay outta your league she never makes U feel less than. Thank you for the best consistency a customer could ever ask for.

My favorite bar in the entire Bay Area. Been going here for years, clear back to the Whisky River days. But the owner, Jenny has done really well with this place. Live music, pool table, etc. Its a good, low-key place to have some drinks.

Karaoke Thursday's! Great place to hang. Drinks are reasonably priced. Kevin (bar tender) was great. Lots of nice people. I'd definitely return.

But I have never been in a bar where they play the music so loud that you can't talk. Now this is a bar not a club ok and I was there playing in a pool league so you need to be able to communicate with each other. I had a shot tequila and tried to have a good time. The men's bathroom was pretty clean I don't know about the women's but I assume also clean. They have a pool table of course and two electronic dartboards. And from what I heard they do karaoke also. I'm sure when I go again it will be better and I'll take pictures. They also have at least three televisions and the team that we played were a nice bunch of ladies and gentlemen. So go on down and have a good time.
