Service was fast meal hotn very filling. Easy to substitute an item for one less preferred. Hostess and servers were quick, friendly...tried to make certain food was as desired. Hot.... did not pressure us for making a quick order. Meal was excellant.

Even though there are rules when restaurants open now, Applebee's was awesome! We love the staff members, especially the girl who served us. My husband and I were dying to go back inside a restaurant, and we chose your establishment. The waitress we had was courteous, sweet, helpful, and very efficient. You were the first restaurant we chose. I'm so glad you had inside seating. You made our day because you were awesome!! Thank you!

We travel to Herkimer several times per month and go to Applebees often. All the staff is attentive and friendly but Erika and Jessica go above and beyond to make sure everything is correct and hot. They make you feel like family.

This is an Applebee's that different from all the rest. I've been to many other Applebee's, but this one definitely stands out. I stop here everytime I'm passing through Herkimer. The service is courteous and fast. Time to wait for a table is always low. The server staff is very attentive and understanding.

Greeted by a friendly young man and waitress Tenley was wonderful. Got the sirloin which was cooked perfect for me (rare) and got the 2/$28. Also got drinks and the $10 Bacardi bucket. Can’t complain. Service as great and food was good for Applebees. Boneless wings for apps were good. Young man opened the door for when leaving and was very polite. Can’t complain at all about anything for a busy Sunday eve. Was way above expectations. Under $50 for all!

It’s always nice to feel welcomed, our server Addison greeted us with a smile, was polite and attentive to our needs! The 2 for $24 meal of steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli was plenty for us and very good. Atmosphere good, tables clean, we’ll be back. Thank you Addison, see you next time!

Everytime we come to Herkimer, we make a stop at this Applebee's before heading back home. It's our families go to spot. The staff is always friendly and go out of their way for you. The appetizers are our favorite, but i don't think we've ever had anything that wasn't absolutely delicious and filling. I also love how the manager, Kara, often stops by our table during each visit to make sure everything is just right for us.

Erika B was my server. Service was delightful, she was very pleasing to look at. The food was a delicious explosion in my mouth. And the atmosphere was very positive. I would go back to this Applebee’s anytime and request Erika B as my server.

I've been to a lot of Applebee's locations over the years. This has hands down been the best (by far) of the ones I've been to. It's always clean and the staff is usually quite friendly and professional. Shoutouts to bartenders Bill and Chelsea. Food has usually been good, but the old joke of all cooking of meats being "well done" no matter what you ask for still holds true most of the time. First 2 times I had burgers ordered med-rare, they came out well done and a bit charred. Thankfully the bartenders have gone back and asked the cooks to take care of medium orders properly and not get it out well don each time I've requested since then. Otherwise, food and drinks have been on point. I like coming here!

Our food was great, and our server was delightful! It was the day of the Bills/KC playoff. It was a packed house, and our server did a fantastic job with us as she handled multiple tables. Our all you can eat wings and burgers were very good.

The host was a gentleman named logan and he did an incredible job. He was friendly approachable relatable and has a good sense of personal character. He did a great job hands down. Our server amanda was amazing as well very chipper and attentive and informative. She had a very friendly dominar and great detail to the order. The cooks as well did an incredible job food was cooked to perfection and was exactly what I wanted. All in all 10 out of 10.

I prefer to support family businesses instead of chains but Applebee's is one of the few places open on Mondays and Tuesdays at lunch time that serves draft beer. They always have Fiddlehead on tap and it is nice and cold. We always grab a bite to eat also. The food really isn't bad either. The staff truly are excellent! It's a great atmosphere to hang out and we always meet new people as we sit at the bar.

This Applebee's is one of the best I've been to. Its why I keep coming back. This is a stop on the way back home from Buffalo every time. Thank you for great service and food.

The food is amazing. This is my first Time rating his place but I only have one issue. I’ve ordered over 20 times from this Applebee’s in Herkimer and never an issue. Great employees great service great atmosphere. My only issue is that The two last times I ordered food I’ve seen in here inside of my food the first Time when I took a bite, the hair was literally in my mouth. I almost swallowed it so I threw up everything and left the second time one after another I saw another white hair hanging out of it so I threw the whole thing out. I love the employees I love the service everybody’s amazing. That’s like my only issue if they can wear something to cover their hair, I’d be perfect.

Applebee's is the highlight of Herkimer NY. A small town that is littered with many different fast food places, this is one of the only sit down restaurants in town and I assure you that they do not disappoint. I have ordered food here many times in all different ways, take out, delivery, and dine in. I have now tried many of the foods Applebee's offers. The food I have been hooked on since I first tried it is their BBQ boneless wings. The sauce is delicious and the chicken is extremely tender. Steaks are very delicious, the 6oz are fairly thin, so I would recommend ordering a lower doneness level than you normally get because it tends to be slightly overcooked by one level. The 8oz steak is personally a better choice, it is thicker and easier to cook to perfection, which the cooks nailed every time. The chicken entrées are also a fantastic choice, all being very tender and having a ton of flavor. My least favorite entrée would be the pastas. I personally love plenty of sauce and they are usually pretty light on sauce. Appetizers: Favorite is BBQ boneless wings, the other flavors of boneless wings are also very tasty. The mozzarella sticks are pretty average, beats frozen, but not fine dining. My fiancé loves the spinach artichoke dip. Applebee's carries classic pepsi products, along with beers, wine, and other alcoholic beverages. I love ordering the specialty seasonal alcoholic slushy drinks they make. In the picture I featured the Halloween "Dracula juice" drink which was delicious. Overall I believe Applebee's is a great middle ground between fine dining and fast food. Great for a date night, casual sit down meal, or even just to sit at the bar.

Stopped in for a Monday night dinner. Service was pleasant, and the crowd was sparse. COVID restrictions were bearable, so we were able to relax and have a nice meal. Three cheese chicken penne was a good choice for the entree, seasoned well and good portion size. Great experience overall.

Very friendly service, and the food is always so delicious! One star off because of the lack of a gluten free selection. At least they had ONE dish. It's very, VERY important when you have Celiacs Disease and not just because of a "fad". This is out of this restaurant's hands though and must be handled at a corporate level. So 5 stars for the staff and 3 for corporate. Average 4.

Wonderful lunch date with my family, my main dish was fabulous I'm always a burger kind of person to be on the safe side, so I decided to try something new and it was delicious! Pasta was cooked to perfection and chicken was fabulous bread stick was a little hard and dry but the dish was better without it anyway, our dip was fabulous like always, we get it everytime!

The staff is superb and always willing to help. The food is the reason for the loss of a star. I ordered the taco dip appetizer and the queso was ice cold, the cheese in it wasn't melted at all. I have visited numerous times in the past, at various times in the day, and every single time I get one item that isn't properly prepared.

Good service every time I go. Rachel does a great job. Always treated like I'm a wanted customer. When really busy 30 min wait in a really small waiting area. They were using a reservation system that you are able to leave and run back if you had something to do to burn time. Many open tables should be seated with the customer, knowing the kitchen is backed up. Hostess could help facilitate getting drinks ordered. The only reason they get 4 stars is because most of the waitresses and waiters are good and keep it moving. Never see a manager or have a manager check in

We visited the Herkimer Applebees the other night it was so cold in there we had winter coats on and when we left we turned our car seat warmers on! Why can’t Applebees turn the ac down when it’s only 50 degrees outside! Way too cold inside making it uncomfortable to eat!

Took my family out to eat. Hostesses were very friendly and polite. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Cost about $18 per adult only discrepancy is I had my 2 year old grandson and felt prices could of been better for a child.

Quick stop for dinner at Applebees! Just looking for a simple meal and Applebees did not disappoint. Service was quick and our orders delivered as ordered. The establishment seemed quite busy for a Tuesday evening but the staff was up to it. My only criticism is that the restaurant appears to need freshening up a bit. A little refinishing to brighten things up would be nice. The place is clean but beginning to show its age.

It was just one of those nights where every dish had something wrong with it... But rather than having to complain and yell, our waitress went ahead and talked to the manager and she then came over to our table personally and made sure my wife and I left happy! (Stars are for service not the steak or pasta)...

Our server Carolyn was great and concerned of our orders! The bathrooms are DISGUSTING (we were in here right after they opened so its not like 100 people used it) along with the carpets are black. Food was good except for the fact that I asked for NO tomatoes in my salad but come to find out they put them in and then covered them up with more lettuce, THEY (the cooks) will learn their lesson when someone has an allergic reaction and get sued!!!!!

If you have to eat... it is food. The service is spotty... sometimes waiter/waitresses are more concerned with phones, or chatting, then occasionally we get a good one. But the food is consistently inconsistent...lol. never comes out the same twice...must be turnover rate of cooks. Even carbide to go service needs attention... If you don't bring food to car after a certain time, the caller should be notified to come in to get order at the time they call it in, not just wait till they come in while 3 people look out the side door at them for 20 minutes. Up till 14 months ago we ate here 1x week. Cause we live 4 blocks away. That dwindled down to 1x per month... till 2 months ago... We no longer go here. New Texas Road House in New Hartford is much better and worth the drive

Wings, 1st batch was cold and hardly and garlic sauce, Parm on 2nd order didn't even melt with being warmer. Last order was super hot for being honey garlic. Wings were super dry too, like over deep fried. Our waitress took a long time to take our order, then was a good wait to get the food. I shouldn't take 1.5 hrs to be done.

Always do Christmas eve at Applebee's never disappoints. 9 of us. All great except my fish. Over cooked. Waitress was no where after she dropped off the food. Luckily we ordered an appetizer. Boneless wings and cheese Stix. Very good.

Food was great as usual for an Applebee's. It came out fairly fast after we ordered. We were greeted by a nice waitress who took our orders and that was pretty much the last time we saw her. After that, our appiterizers were brought out by someone else, and our food was brought out by someone else once again. Now we needed more drinks and unfortunately, our waitress was nowhere to be found. After about a half hour we got a glimpse of her while she was at another table and practically begged for another set of drinks. Before we knew it, another 30 minutes go by and still no drinks are served. Our food was finished quite awhile ago so we pretty much gave up on the extra drinks. Our waitress finally comes out with the four lemonades we ordered almost 50 minutes ago. We decided we would just ask for the check to pay and soon leave. The sad part about all this was, the restaurant was half full and their were 10 other waitress/waiters.

This is your typical Applebee’s nothing special. The service was pretty decent in the atmosphere was typical of an Applebee’s, but I’ll have to admit the food left much to be desired. I’d order the steak medium and I got it rare. I wasn’t ready to send it back you what happen when you do that haha

Fast service, poor server though. Checked on us once during our meal and he looked like he was being bothered when asked for something. Almost as if he wanted us out ASAP. Food was ok, we were hungry, did not eat for 8hrs. Overall experience was OK, better service would have been appreciated.

I should have known not to order fish and chips farther than 100 miles from the coast. A poor piece of fish, and cold fries. Should have been better. The wait staff was excellent, and the building was just typical of any mid-level franchise.

Very disappointment, after hours of driving I was expecting to have a good dinner with my family, but not. My soup never came, I cancelled it. The appetizer took a lot of time, and the restaurant was not too busy. We always called the server because she was not coming to verify if we need something else. Not happy. 😔😔😔

I realize it's not anyone working at the store's fault but as a company I think it's wild that once you click delivery it's somehow out of Applebee's hands on what happens to your order. They use doordash. I was told a delivery time, and the driver hadn't even reached the store. I call the driver and don't get a response. At this point my food will be a half hr old and gross and I can't even pick it up because I asked was told that's not an option. That being said the person I spoke with was very nice, and I get it's not their personal fault. I just think something should be changed because I wouldn't have spent the money paying for the food or delivery/tip etc just to find out I'd have old food.

Upcharge for fried chicken not informed and have never been charged in the past 10 years I have ordered the same meal. Manager spoke with us and when she said that's the way it is done...I said I wouldn't be back. She was surprised that I said that over less than $2. I said I was surprised that she would lose a customer over that amount. Customer service at its worst. Fabulous waitress though.

A recent visit was disappointing. Ordered a salad. It was flat,the dressing was flavorless. Ordered a steak medium. It came rare, and tough. Wasn't asked if we liked our meals. It's been going downhill for some time.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised by the wait time at the door. It wasn't what I considered busy but it seemed to be understaffed. Our waitress was friendly but not very attentive. We had a long wait for our food which arrived cold. Our drinks were never refilled and she did not return to check on us until she brought the check. The quality of the food was sub par, we had the three cheese penne with chicken. I was expecting real chicken but it tastes like pressed chicken 🤢. At least the restaurant was clean

I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and they brought me out a fried one. Hey my French fries were overcooked and salty as hell. Worse than McDonald's but McDonald's is delicious. LOL Even though I've gone there a few times hoping the food would be better. But it's not? I never complained to them about the food I just eat it or don't eat it.

The waiter took mad long to give me my food, by the time I got my food it was cold. They took it back to give me another plate and the sauce was old with a crunchy layer on top… If the waiter did her job properly I wouldn’t have had a problem.

They brought our food out cold our appetizers came out the same time our food did they forgot our drinks. The waitress was telling how bad her day was and when we was ready to go she was no where to be found we asked the hostess for boxes for our cold food. Then we paid our bill on the machine at the table took our cold food and was leaving she stops my husband at the door and told him you need to pay your bill. My husband told her I did and she ask how did you pay when I haven’t given you the bill. He told on the machines at the table he told her you weren’t around and the manager came over and told my husband she is new and to be understanding. Well when someone accuses you of not paying your bill and ask for proof and never comes around to make sure everything is okay and you are humiliated in front of everyone I don’t find this professional we will never go back to apple bees again.

The food was horrible. My wife got a chicken fajita rollup, it was so wet and soggy they when it was picked up it fell apart. I ordered a whiskey bacon burger and it was so greasy i couldn't pick it up without it slipping through my hands. Its not the first time we've had bad order and not the first time we complained. We don't plan on ordering from here again and advise people not too either

Me and my girl found fries and a bit off, piece of a chicken wing at the bottom of our marinara sauce. Looks like they reused the sauces and just top if off for the next customers! We will never eat there again! We wish we could give this review -5 stars.

On 10/01/2022 my husband and I went into your restaurant for dinner and checked in 3:35 pm. The waiter Josh took our orders at 3:45 pm brought us out drinks and our appetizers came 20 minutes later by another host. Josh never returned to our table or informed us what was going on with our orders. We ordered a Whiskey bourbon sandwich with fries. There were people coming In after us and received there dinners. After an hour of Noone returning to our table, we got up and went to the host up front and asked to speak with a manager. I understand that they were short staffed by that is unacceptable. The manager did apologize to us. We will not be returning.

A nice quick lunch. Had the rice bowl. Loved it. The waitress was sweet to us, but a customer that didn't speak very good english(from another country) was struggling to put in her order. The customer asked the waitress to come over and she would show her the picture of what she wanted.. the waitress said just tell me while rolling her eyes. Finally with great difficulty the customer put in her take out order. The customer pulled out her money and wanted to pay, the waitress walked to the other side of the bar and was making jokes about the customer with one of her regular customers. This poor woman was treated very poorly... she wasn't begging, she was a paying customer. Just because she couldn't speak our language, doesn't give that waitress the right to treat her that way. My husband was seated right next to her so we watched the whole thing play out.

The waiter was awesome. The cook left left a lot to be desired, the Mac n cheese was one big clump and come on you call that 4 cheese. Please! The broccoli was drier than a burnt boot and no butter, really. If I had asked for butter it would have been hard and that doesn't melt on cold broccoli. Like I said the cook does not like his job too well or else he would take a little bit more pride in his presentation because that was not presented the way it looks in the menu. Very disappointed in the food but the waiter was the best.

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life.

This was horrible. The waitress was great and I feel bad for her. We were there for almost 2 hours until we left and said we weren't paying for our drinks. The manager offered no explanation why we had been there for 2 hrs and didn't get our food when we saw 10+ families come and leave. The bathrooms were worse than a truck rest stop and had gunk all around/in the urinals. The whole situation was terrible. We went to McDonald's so we could get the kids to bed. Horrible!!

Usually I enjoy my fair share of meats, Chicken is a favorite so I wanted to go get some. I walked in and got a seat, everyone was very sweet and I enjoyed the atmosphere but. This isn't why I'm writing this review. When I ordered the waitress was very kind, I ordered the pretzels and they were beyond amazing as always.. but afterwards I ordered the tenders and fries, I often do. They aren't amazing but I enjoy them, I was feeling fine about halfway through my plate.. then it hit me, this rush of adrenaline as I felt something beginning to reach the bottom of my body. It felt like lava, brimming and bubbling. I could feel my body begin to reject the food. I paid as fast as I could, leaving the building and getting in the car. Every bump was a horrible nightmare as the magical potion in my intenstines was reaching the end. I finally made it home, rushing inside. I made it to the toilet just in time. I could feel as every part of my body began to force the child portion of chicken tenders out of my body, it sizzles and made me hold onto the walls for support. When it was over, I was left with a memory and feeling I will never forget. 1 star.

Waited over an hr for something to drink. appetizers never came out. Food was cold. Worst experience at any restaurant ever! I will NOT go back here again. Waitress walked by about 20 times never asked if I wanted anything or something to drink. My bf had to go get her and get me a beverage. I ate my entire meal with no liquids at all. I can’t believe the experience my family and I had this afternoon. My father, sister and I didn’t even get greeted when we walked in by the hostess..We walked in smiling, said hello, & she replied “3” with a rude tone. First red flag however, we stayed. We ordered the combo appetizer and some entrees we got our drinks, waited 40 minutes for the wrong order that was dying in the window ( not fresh ) which is fine everyone has their days. However, our server Sean didn’t even apologize once.He was very rude, taking care of other tables before us when we were there first.Mind you it was NOT busy AT ALL. My mother and I are servers we understand certain things but at least apologize and act like you care! My father asked what’s going on ? He said “ Well I can only go as fast as the cooks can go “ not one apology. After that, we overhear him cussing about us in the kitchen. My family and I are disgusted by the lack of customer service we received. We are great tippers and we were treated differently from others. Very racist employees.. would not recommend.. 0 stars !! Sean needs to never serve again..

I had 1 bad experience that I cannot recover from. I had take out and while eating my steak I pulled a plastic tab of some sorts from my mouth. It had numbers on it. My guess is that my steak fell on the floor or somewhere where it picked up a Few passengers. I was sick for 2weeks. I could barely eat applesauce or baby food.

Seats were uncomfortable. We ordered our appetizers and meals 20 after being seated. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizers. While others came in 15 minutes after we were there and they were served their meal before us as we waited 20 more minutes for our meal to show up. Total of two hours. Mozzarella sticks were cold and my fiancés meal was completely cold. Will never go back I would give zero stars if I could. Their excuse was that there was one frier was down. That’s no excuse. Unorganized and unprepared.

Car side to go is extremely disorganized. I was at the restaurant 5 minutes before my order said complete. Then i waited another 45 minutes after calling to let them know i was there before even getting my food brought out and it was all cold. Also the chicken tenders were the size of chicken nuggets

The past few times I've had food from here it was trash. The steak was pure fat and not cooked properly. The meal is good if you eat there but everytime I get carside to go they give me the worst looking steaks I've ever seen. Luckily the meal came with a side so I still had something to eat

Would rate service zero stars if I could. We regularly come here every week and tonight the staff is chatting in the back, we waited 5 minutes to be seated and were told where to go, not walked to our seats with menus. All of the servers are now too busy chatting up front at the hostess desk instead of providing refills or bringing out food. The manager is also participating in the chatting. There is one server in the entire restaurant actually working. The two times our server came “sorry about the wait”. Bull… we see and hear you all chatting. Meanwhile we are sitting here over 20 minutes with empty drinks waiting for our food.
