Came for a girls weekend brunch and it was absolutely perfect. The courtyard is the perfect place to spend a weekend morning. The service and vibes are great, everyone is so welcoming and nice. The food is great, I had the biscuit sandwich and the biscuit was so flaky and delicious.
We were there for a midafternoon lunch and we loved the rustic ambiance at this restaurant. Not only was the food delicious, the ingredients were very fresh . We had the quinoa bowl, the red hummus was very tasty. The blistered Shishito were done to perfection and perfect to beat the heat . The Margarita pizza and the artichoke Bohemian pizza were mind blowing. Highly recommend this restaurant when in Mendocino.
Super friendly service the pizza is very good
We had great veggie soups. It was delicious. Outdoor dining makes us feel safer to dine out.
A must visit - one of the highlights of our trip! The flatbreads and salad are delicious.
What a serendipitous find. After tasting at smith story and Drew’s. The Madrone in Philo is great and this resto is a must stop. I gobbled up their chickpea stew. So tasty
Great food and service with a wonderful atmosphere. Didn't try the pizza on this visit but will in the future.
Limited menu. We ordered the whole menu. Friendly staff.

We were here in July and again this weekend. We experienced a delicious meal from the former chefs, and a different menu but equally delicious meal with the new chef. It’s such a lovely, romantic setting. Service is very good (thanks, Hannah!) and the local wine selection strong. It’s our favorite dinner spot in the area. We had the heirloom tomatoes, clams and chorizo (with extra bread to soak up every bit of that sauce), and smoked, roasted chicken. The Toulouse Estate Pinot paired so good!
Have been twice in past couple months. This weekend was new owner and chef and he did not miss a beat. Incredible meal. Our faves were clam and pork chorizo and heirloom tomato salad. Reasonably priced for the superb quality. We will make this a regular destination!
We had a wonderful lunch for our wedding anniversary in Nov 2023 at Wickson, starting with a bottle of Rosé of Pinot Noir and oysters. The highlight was the grilled octopus, in squid ink, with smashed potato and spinach. Compliments to the chef! Also enjoyed wood fired margarita pizza. Looking forward to our next meal in April 2024 for a birthday celebration, hope we can repeat the wine and grilled octopus 🦑 🎂🎉
Had an absolutely stunning meal at Wickson on January 28. The menu is lean (which I personally love--never trust a restaurant that's trying to have "something for everyone") The food was absolutely stellar-- from the house baked fresh bread to the wood oven roasted oysters, the warm house-marinated olives (could have eaten a pound of them) to the shockingly excellent caesar salad (the housemade boquerones and fennel breadcrumbs?! come. on.) and Dungeness crab cioppino (FILLED with fresh shellfish, a salt cod broth....one of the all-time greatest cioppino's)--everything was best in class. The wine selection is very well-curated and our excellent server made the perfect suggestion for our meal. The open-plan kitchen and nearly empty restaurant (everyone was watching the Superbowl playoffs) meant that we had the absolute pleasure of getting to know Chef Jenny--the one-woman show responsible for all the brilliant food at this intimate, very special restaurant. I could not recommend Wickson more. We will be back as soon as we're in the area again. And thank you, Chef Jenny, for an absolutely unforgettable dinner.
Wickson use to be a good local restaurant. The new chef Jason Azevedo has taken it to a whole new level. The dinner tasting menu was a much needed addition. Menu is flush with local ingredients. Chicory salad was incredible and the Cataplana is a must. Highly recommend.
We had a very memorable experience here with wonderful food and service on two nights. The shrimp, salad, chicken, pasta and flatbread pizzas were delicious. Brianne and Bernadette were especially helpful to us as we had a situation happen where they stepped in and we feel so grateful to them for being so wonderful! Thank you again! We shall return!
Such a cool place. They've got a straightforward, fairly simple menu, executed excellently. Small plates with great variety and some vegetarian options, a few main dishes that'll have something for anyone, and Roman flatbreads with perfectly crispy crust and both meat and vegetarian options. The place itself is beautiful, with a nice bistro style interior and a great walled patio that reminds me of a villa. The servers are friendly and attentive and it's great for a group to share plates family style.
Had an AMAZING Mother's Day brunch here. The food was amazing - I had a piasa and my husband had a breakfast skillet. The server was very attentive and accommodating. Five stars!!!!
The most delicious dinner I've had in a long time. It had a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. It was fun watching the chef cook in the big wood oven. She made sure to greet all of the customers personally. It was a wonderful experience. 10/10 would recommend.
Very cozy atmosphere, and lovely and attentive chef and team. The menu seems to rotate based on availability. We especially loved the focaccia, wood fired oysters (the best), and the celery soup. One of the most delicious meals I have ever had.
A must visit if you're in the area. Flavorful, colorful, seasonal food in a warm and rustically romantic setting. I almost never order soup for a meal, but theirs is exceptionally satisfying. We also had the Gabagool pizza and caesar salad, and continuous "wow(s)" were exclaimed. We can't wait to go back!

TLDR - inside/outside seating, great food, great staff, great atmosphere 10/10. “Swunderful, Smarvelous” - the song “S Wonderful” by Diana Krall is all I could think when leaving Wickson for the second meal in 12 hours; a small open window kitchen, dominated by a beautiful wood fired oven offers an exciting meal and a show. If you are looking for a team who delivers thoughtfully crafted flavors and an equally tailored atmosphere you simply can not miss out on stopping in. Dinner: A limited menu showcasing the talent and expertise the team has in Iberian cuisine ensures that there are no wrong choices. A robust and thoughtfully curated wine selection, a mix of US and imports, offered a refreshing change for the palate from the day touring the surrounding vineyards. The meal, best enjoyed family style (shared-plates), had generous portions and balanced ingredients, leaving no one unsatisfied (3 starters we’re more than enough to satisfy our party of 2 with barely any room for our main course, all 3 had been scraped clean). The staff (both FOH and BOH) were attentive, friendly, and passionate about their work; traits that were clearly displayed through the food and service. As service ramped up Chef Jason and his suis chef moved like clockwork; a true display of masters of their craft as they artfully timed the courses of multiple tables all while balancing the small cooking space and the temperature of the wood fired oven (the entire line is comprised of the oven and two induction burners, for those that don’t know that’s beyond TINY). If mistakes were made they were few and far between as the waitstaff and chefs moved nearly perfectly in sync. The experience summed up was truly “Swunderful”. Lunch: Pizza! Sticking true to the roots and use of the buildings vintage oven the team at Wickson churns out crisp, charred, deliciously beautiful pizzas. Using seasonal ingredients, sourcing local when possible, the team lets their imaginations run wild producing an ever changing array of inspired flavors. A “Smarvelous” experience! Chef Jason and his team are putting out some serious eats and I only foresee greater things for them to come! Don’t miss out on this little hidden gem.

The outside courtyard is beautiful. It’s super a beautiful setting to enjoy a meal. The pinsas, salad and shrimp were the best items on the menu. The chicken was dry and overcooked. And I was given the wrong pasta with undercooked gluten free pasta.
