Awesome dive bar. Cheap drinks, fast service. Free BBQ on Sundays just make sure you tip the man. Sunday nights they have karaoke and then during the week they have comedy night as well. Solid bar in the heart of montrose. Small parking lot so make sure you watch where you park on the streets so you don't get towed.

Be good to the bartenders and they will be good right back! Best dive bar in Houston! Eclectic bunch there, decent parties at the weekend, especially KSD (last Friday of every month). You can't beat the happy hour - $2 double tall wells!!

This is a dive bar that is definitely not known for its beauty. It gets packed during the weekends, the crowd is very young, the drinks are cheap and dirty but the music is fantastic! They play a lot of hip hop music from the 1990's and the 2000's and the most current hip hop. The crowd is loud, crazy and definitely loves to dance. If you like hip hop music and you like a good time you definitely need to check out Boondocks! They also have other nights where they play different music just incase you're not into hip hop!

I absolutely love the vibe, the people, service and music played here! My only note is the bathroom. The bathroom does not have a lock and does not have any private stalls. If you are looking for privacy for any reason, you just may need to use a different establishment, thats all. If you gotta go, and don't care who else has to gotta with you in the bathroom, go for it! It's bathroom after all. Overall, this is a great place for dancing, and good music.

Never had the food. On a quiet day the vibe is chill. On a day where they got a DJ it's hyped and can be crowded upstairs mostly. The service and people who work there the times I visited from the bartenders to the door guy were great

I only come here for the Kinda Super Disco events. Great sound system upstairs. It gets extremely hot upstairs during the summertime, but other than that, I've only ever come on very crowded nights. Nice patio, too, and within walking distance of other bars if you feel like hopping.

One of my favorite bars in Houston!!!!! Don't except anything fancy, this is your classic awesome dive bar! They have great DJ's on the weekends, and also great events and deals throughout the week. Love the atmosphere and chill ambience.

I love this place, the vibe and karaoke nights BUT.... does it have to be 40 degrees inside ALL THE TIME?.. like the COCKY bartenders dont want to be bother unless it's REALLY necessary that the people in the patio (ALL THEIR CLIENTELE) HAVE TO COME INSIDE and get another drink or is it just me?... STRONG AND CHEAP DRINKS BTW💕

Friday night I and my wife went to boondocks bar and once we got there, we realized there was no wheelchair ramp to get in the place and there was no way for me to get in. I am hoping they build a ramp having a wheelchair ramp and wheelchair access will wrap this place up more than they can imagine. It will bring a lot of business. I am however, saddened that once I got there and couldn’t get in I had to go go elsewhere.. hopefully they will become ADA compliant and I would love to go there. The staff was friendly, but my chair is a bit heavy so they did not try to lift it. I’m not a real big guy lol but please build a ramp guys. I would like to come back and give you an excellent review if you build it, I will come!
