Taqueria Arandas is an excellent eatery for Tex Mex staples. I've been going to the franchise for years and this one is very good. Service is quick especially for To-Go. Consider Taqueria Arandas one of the best franchises in Houston.
The food and customer service was great!! And I don’t know what they put it n those margaritas but lol I tell u what… they were the best !!
Went to the bakery, and the ladies were really helpful and friendly. Bought two cakes that were delicious. My gf absolutely loved the cakes from here as well. Thank yall for the service and the delicious cakes.
Margaritas are strong. Love it! Flour tortillas are tasty. They also have a bakery on site. Happy hour at noon.
I love this place good food, I come here Fridays or Saturdays I highly recommend it. Thank you Maya as well the staff from the restaurant, my friends and myself are very pleased with best customer service in Arandas 💯. And the Dj with the lady singing karaoke great music. Definitely will continue keep going 👍👍
The food was amazing. I was surprised! I'll definitely be back regularly. Coming from the West Coast I was thoroughly impressed with the flavors.
Thank you so much It was our fast time here and the service was excellent. It was clean , the food came out quick and the waiter was great . Highly recommend this place . Loved it
We are big fans of the Agendas chain and have a goal to visit every location. This is one of the best. Consistently great execution of the Arandas menu, well maintained facility and a great staff. The bakery is a great bonus.
Authentic Mexican cuisine. It brought me back to my grandmother's cooking. The tacos al pastor and barbacoa were so delicious. The birria nachos were excellent to wash down with their horchata. No waiting when I went during the lunch hour on a Saturday afternoon.
Unexpectedly great service and breakfast today. Carla was attentive and kind. And that green salsa they serve is tasty enough to buy some to take! 😋
Usually the red salsa is cold. This place had warm salsa... The green salsa is ON POINT! Great food! Decent staff! Still the best place for late night food cravings!
Good Mexican food and excellent service. Breakfast plates very well done and as ordered. Tortillas were well made. Menudo very spicy and hot beware.
I love Taquerias arandas for the Service they give to the costumer and special for the delicious food they have .
Me and my wife enjoyed the food and service!! Great place for family!!!
Casual and good eats , the waitress was very attentive ( I went during lunch time ) and took my order and followed my instructions . The food was delicious and fresh! The provided prompt and great service.
First time inside. I always use the drive-through. There is plenty of seating, clean, and large venue. They have a small selection of pan at their bakery, but everything was fresh and delicious. I never have a complaint with my food it's always good. Aqua Frescas are not watered down.
Haven't been to Taqueria Arandas in ages. Always loved the quality and service. Store 44 on FM 249 at Bammel N Houston did NOT disappoint today. California Burrito was as delicious as ever. Quality is ALWAYS consistently good company wide. Today I got a peice of Tres Leches Cake that was our of this world. So happy they ate close to my new job. Great quality and great value. 5 Stars! Thank you to the great staff and kind ladies in the bakery. You made my day!! 😊 Mike N
Food was great. Service was great. Our waitress Nadia was of excellent service . Professional courteous and great smile. Thank you so very much . Great job
Thank you Cesar great service good job and time excellent I highly recommend these location for breakfast
I speak zero Spanish, however all the guys I work with do. They keep trying to hook me up with this waitress that works there. She is way hotter then I am, and her English is about as good as my Spanish. This has absolutely nothing to do with the restaurant but I guarantee you I will go back, and I trying to learn more Spanish.
Great family friendly atmosphere. I recently had my graduation dinner here with family on Friday 5/24. Our server Nay was by far one of the most impressive servers I've had in a long time. She was very friendly amd attentive. Nay ensured we were well taken care of and also engaged with us in conversation. When asked about menu items she didn't hesitate to answer and also recommend options. I will definitely be returning here soon with my family amd friends as her warm welcome was more than enough to make my celebration one to remember. Everything about this place was amazing. When I asked for the manager, she went to get Claudia who also listened to me rave about the amazing service Nay had provided. This is one great group of people. The owners should definitely keep these two ladies as a part of their team. Their warmth and friendliness are sure to keep customers happy and coming back. They congratulated me upon entering as well as throughout our dinner and upon leaving. They even had a gorgeous graduation backdrop for photos. Thanks Nay and Claudia you ladies rock. Oh and the food was by far just as amazing as the service.
Actually, I went to Arandas Bakery in the same location. The cake was beautifully decorated, and the inside was soft, the chocolate muse was soft, fresh and flavor was great. We asked the cake to be made not too sweet and it was perfect. Will order cake from the bakery again in the future.
It's just o.k. typical for mexican restaurants.
Ehha, been to a bunch of their other locations. The Bolillo was dry on the Torta. I understand that it gets dry, perro if it wasn’t for the verde to soften it up, it would have been unbearable to eat. My coworkers to go Fajita Nachos with “everything on the side” came with pechuga y fréjoles on top of a handful of chips. Aguas was good, not like you’d find at a street vendors; but it wasn’t totally watered down like I’ve had at other restaurants. El servicio fue bueno, muy atentó! I think if I did not get this order para y varé it would have been much better. Todos los aspectos considerados, I plan to go back and give it another shot. This time I’d advise my coworker to not get the nachos… They simply are not a to-go food lol. Also, I saw across the street they are in the process of opening Arandas Seafood. I’ll have to check it out.
Service was good, place looks clean, the pastries are good. What I order I wasn't impressed it looked different from the menu and taste was blend. The tacos al carbon I ordered in flour tortilla and got small corn tortilla with a small one strip of beef, in the menu looks cut and for $13 a plate is was I should to ordered just fajita plate or something else. $13 for two small tacos, I had tacos al carbon before and this is not it. My daughters' child tacos from the kids menu were much bigger and tastier than my plate. My husband had the Alambres and again the meat was hard and taste less. Not a bad place, great people but I think it need a little more work in their food.
This is a great spot me and my friend go all the time...the music..food and drinks are all good the dj will play any kind of music if you request it not just Spanish...love this spot
Service is great. Food is average, margs are good. It's getting pricey, though. Makes you want to see if there is someplace comparable for the same price.
The portions are nicely sized, and the staff was attentive. One star off for seating tables close to each other when it looked like there were plenty of empty tables to spread out for social distancing.
Everything Great. Just the chips always fail 😪 cold or not crunchy and we go like ones a week here.
Everything was great except the drive-thru window. That window is a joke! Whoever had that window put there didn't want to spend the money to make it right. I ordered food there, and as I drove up, there I almost scraped my car with a poll that was sticking out. And the lady was so nice as to reach out of that window to hand me my order because that window was too high up and too far for me to reach for my order. You must go there and see it. I hope they rebuild that window the right way or someone might stretch too far and hurt themselves.
The food is great, and the service is excellent. The only thing that stops me from coming more often is that the music is extremely loud.
Every thing was fine till the gentleman started singing, I've been at your restaurant a few times, but if that guy continues singing, my family, and a lot of friends of mine will stop going to your restaurant, And I will make sure it will happen
I came here and got the camarones a la diabla! I have to say the flavor and everything was there but I was so disappointed when I would take a bite of shrimp and feel the grainy texture of the shrimp poo :( it suckedddd they only partially deveined the shrimps and I was so disappointed! Buttt the agua de limón was delish and my husband got the marinated pollo and it was amazing he got a really good horchata too so it was good and my father in law got the mojarra and requested the diabla sauce on it and he said the fish was subpar. So I genuinely recommend you stay away from the sea food and stick to the chicken and other menu items! Staff was really sweet and attentive tho so I’ll give them that!
Food was fantastic, as always. Prices have gone up some lately though. The margaritas were not good, they tasted like they put tap water in it to make the sweet and sour go further. No one working there speaks English.
We enjoyed the atmosphere here and the great service but the food was just alright.
Food is always exceptional. Service, not so much. But I will come back every time for the delicious food.
It was pretty good food, service was great, our waiter Jesus was always making sure we were doing good. A good place to go enjoy a good meal. The gentleman doing the karaoke has great talent.
I love taqueria arandas however the burritos are pretty small at this location.
I walked in around 7 PM for a last-minute tres leches cake for her birthday. They didn’t have any regular tres leches but still had quite a large selection of cakes to choose from! I was in and out pretty quick. The lady at the counter was incredibly nice and helpful. I also got a few things in the bakery and they were half okay and the other half was good! It was probably because I came at the end of the day. The conchas were not very fresh but granted it was 7pm. Would come back for a quick lunch or dinner in the dining room.
I had ordered Chorizo taco as well as a Machacado. I was excited to try it per recommendation. However they said they were not available and asked to order a different one. I got the potato and egg taco instead which I actually found to be nasty, but my friend loved it. I was obsessed with the Chorizo taco though and even ordered an additional. Was delicious with their green sauce and salsa. Will be going back!
I recently visited Taquería Arandas on 249 and had a generally positive experience. The food was excellent—I ordered the chilaquiles with pollo a la plancha, and it was delicious. The coffee, as always, was top-notch, and the fresh-baked bread added a nice touch to the meal. I went early in the morning, and the restaurant was quite empty. However, I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the service. Despite the restaurant being virtually empty, the waitress seemed more interested in chatting with her coworker than attending to our table. This lack of attention was disappointing, especially given the low volume of customers. Unfortunately, this experience means we won’t be returning to this particular Arandas location.
The staff very attentive. Friendly and vast space for disabled patrons in a wheelchair. Server attentive at all times. Music not as loud as in some places that you can’t have a conversation with the next person. Food, I ordered the enchiladas potosinas and definitely did not taste like the potosinas I eaten this could be to the red sauce that makes them taste bland.
Qi Qi and my mom wanted a drink. I just wanted some guacamole 🥑. The waitress wasn't all that great and the tacos had very little meat. They could have done a better job. They normally do.
Margarita is great but food not so much. Real nice patio area. People are friendly and give great customer service
Took an order to go big burrito. And it had no real flavor compared to the one I ate at Buc ee's and that's sad 😞 cause I'm sure that Buc ee's isn't a mexican restaurant
The service was great. The waitress was very attentive. However, the food was not very good. It had been years since we last ate at a Taqueria Arandas, since this location is close to our home we decided to give it a try. The chips and salsa are good. We ordered a parrillada mixta. The meats were hard and had a flavor similar to when the meats are left unrefrigerated. The guacamole serving size on our plate was the like a teaspoon. The flour tortillas are not made fresh, they have a rubbery feel and preservative smell. The parrillada wasn't even sizzling.
I ordered the chicken caldo. It was terrible. Contents were carrots and chayote with a chicken leg quarter. It smelled like the chicken was boiled in a separate pot then added to the soup. The chicken was still very pink. No taste No Flavor No Bueno! No more caldo for me!
First time at this location. Place was great, food was great. Service was so bad. We were not offered more coffee, we wanted to get tortillas for our food but our waitress never came to check on us. She had only given us two napkins (one per person).
Fresh, Clean, Good food 🥝🥑
Food was good, service was not. No one came to sit us, so family and I picked a table at front, but still had to wait for someone to come serve. Waiter (with purple dyed hair) finally came to get our drinks, then forgot about us and sent another server to get the drink order again. Menus weren’t brought until we asked. Waitress that took over was disrespectful with her unnecessary remarks when I asked about the tortillas I had ordered (meal almost half way done by this time). If this was my first time at this location, I wouldn’t be back. This is the first time experiencing this kind of service here. I would understand if we showed up close to closing time and they didn’t have items available or if they were busy/short staffed, but this was about 7pm and not busy. I hope this feedback can be constructive for management to improve staff and/or can provide the necessary training for employees to give quality customer service even when they are having a bad day. This is definitely the reason I don’t go to other Taqueria Arandas locations.
I ordered green enchiladas, chile relleno, and a torta. I clearly told them my partner is allergic to avocado, yet the torta had avocado residue on the bread. When we pointed it out, they insisted it was “lettuce,” instead of acknowledging the mistake. Because of that, my partner couldn’t eat her meal. Food allergies should be taken seriously I won’t be returning due to the lack of care and respect.
The food is great I just hate shopping for bread and that cashier is on phone the whole time. Not to mention that when you ask a question she tells you to hold on. She is on her cellphone talking her heart away. I wanted to call her out but instead I just left.
Service is always bad so at least they have consistency. Waiters are rude and food is just okay. Not great price is decent.
Ordered the trio plate which has nachos, quesadilla and tacos and not what I expected. The quesadilla was a tortilla the cheese wasn’t even melted nor the tortilla cooked all the way like toasted a normal quesadilla. The nachos where three chips or 4 with beans. The tacos were also soggy and nasty all the juice from the chicken. Horrible! Never again. I did two stars because the waiter was very nice!
The food is okay not great. The service is horrible we basically had to seat ourselves and flag a server to come and wait on us. They never came back after bringing the food to check on our drinks which my was empty most of the time. We got the impression they just don't care and it's not the first time we got bad service here it's been many.
Don't buy the jello unless you like a very FIRM Jello. Paid $4 x (2) for a small 9oz cup of jello that my daughter found difficult to dig her spoon into. We cut into it for her and she was put off by how firm it was. JELLO shouldn't be that firm, much less cost you $4. Food was mediocre. It took a good while for it to come out. Nothing to rave about. They also need to update the pricing on their menu. You go based on photos people put of the menu but when you get there the prices are higher. Good green salsa though! After i asked for a refund on the jello, in was told they couldn't give me my $ back eventhough my kid wasn't going to eat it simply because of how firm it was. They did however allow me to get $8 worth of pan dulce. I wouldn't have even tried to get any other kind of jello for her for a fear that is ALL probably got the same firmness.
Went in with a party of 4, wasn't greeted, but they were talking amongst themselves. It seemed they were discussing who to take us. Going at 11am, the rice was reheated and not good at all. Didn't feel welcomed. Will definitely stick to my go-to taqueria Arandas on 290
$15 for 5 tacos that literally had a teaspoon of meat. Ordered chips and salsa with the overwhelming power of heat which makes no sense for dipping salsa. So needless to say, I won’t be a returning customer
Came here because the bakery was highly recommended. Stayed for the food, tacos and rice were bland. Top shelf Margarita was $20! Took 2 sips and gone, all ice and water... Service was poor many waiters standing around while we waited for water and to get the check. No one came to check on us. Should of known Friday at 6pm and place was empty....
I recently ordered take out from this location. Sorry to say I was a bit disappointed. Mind you I haven't been to an Arandas in over 20 years I didn't like it back then thought I'd give them a shot. Portion was small and the beans were basically frijoles a la olla with white cheese melted on top and no rice. For the price should get at least some rice. Do no recommend. I can get more for less that tastes way better. Come on guys you can do better. Maybe the dine in experience is the complete opposite. Guess see you in another 20 years.
Chilaquiles rojos are a joke. I got entomatadas instead. Chips on top red table sauce and melted cheese! Please tell your Mexican cheff how chilaquiles rojos are made and served. (Chile guajillo salsa, queso fresco and fresh red onion rings on top.) I hope you fix the recipe. I like your restaurant. Thank you P.S. Do not delete my review please.
Came with some friends and found out that the karaoke was replaced by a dj. The atmosphere felt like a nightclub, would like to have the karaoke back it does make the difference, my friends were disappointed.
Was a horrible experience for one we didnt even get our drinks til 15 to 20 minutes after we were seated. My wifes menudo tastes like tap water. My torta had a bread tie in it and i bit it. They didnt even refill the chips . The queso which was ordered way before the meal didnt come til after the meal and it was supposed to be a appetizer. The champurrado had chunks in it. My wife had a back up order of flautas and they were so bland she didnt even eat them plus they didn't even give her avacado with the order. I ordered a burrito to replace the torta and it was horrible as well. Not to mention now out of nowhere they charge for refills now. The management was horrible when told about these issues. Worst arandas yet. Blasaaaaa
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The manager is the worst. She had the audacity to offer me a credit for a charro beans side when I paid for it (it would come on the dish that I bought and she forgot to put in the bag) I called and she said sorry I forgot but I will give you a credit to get another charro beans 🙄 WOW !!!! Is this for real!!! WORST TAQUERIA ARANDAS EVER!!!!
This place has a bakery express inside the restaurant, Yall pastry lover be very careful at this location we bought some bakery from them once I took it home I noticed there were three of the pastry had mold on them. How sick!!! Wish I had taken a pictures of it.
Ordered breakfast tacos to go, two tacos were missing. The potatoes were not cooked enough. How do you go with with potatoes and eggs? The street tacos were full of fat and did not come with the cheese I ordered with them. (Gross) The soda was flat. I wish I could have a refund! Not worth going back
I was exited in the beginning at visiting an arandas restaurant since its my favorite place to breakfast special if its convenient close. Nothing wrong whit the food the opening of this place its beautiful but there's one girl work on this place used and extremely aggressive Definitely not a good place to bring your family.
New place. Ordered after 7pm and when we picked up the food and got home which is like 5mins away the food was cold and had no flavor. Parrillada for 2. Maybe dining in would be better.
My first time coming here and I was not happy at all . I ordered the plate with the rice two fajita tacos and charros beans , my rice was burnt , the beans had a bad taste . And they gave me big chunks of meat .
The music is too loud it is like a nigthclub or bar. You can talk with your family. The meat the fajitas always is hard to eat. And the trick to give You a friend tortillas And salsa is for You get full for the small that is the portón of the food. The tablet is grease always in some Arandas restaurant I don't know way.
I just left that place it was my first time eating there . The service was ok . I got my food the beans where super cold . The quesadilla was disappointing not enough meat in the the tortilla . It was not hot at all how do you service food cold. My friend food come out hot . The meat had no season and it’s was hard to chew . I ask the waitress if they had lemonade she told me yes I got limeade . I didn’t like it at all . For us 2 we paid about 50 dollars to have cold food . I really thought it was going to be good . We are never going back to this place
I went here wanting fajitas and a good margarita. When ordering, I stated I didn't want well tequila, that I would like one made with Jose Cuervo, or Patron. Waitress stated the margaritas were pre made, and that she could "add" Patron to it. Looking at a fully stocked bar, I asked her if she could make me a Patron margarita, she said NO. I then chose another drink, and ordered the beef fajitas and was again disappointed. The meat was extremely bland and chewy. No flavor whatsoever. I am very unsatisfied with the service and the meal I ordered. I will not be returning.
I should have spoken with management this time we were there but it was late and after such a horrible experience my family and I just wanted to leave. First off, we had a large group and maybe once out of that hour and a half we were there did our waitress come and check on us. My husband had to eat his enchiladas with a knife because they never brought him a fork. Not a single waitress came to our table until one person from our group stood up and approached another waitresss nearby. My children kept waiting for drink refills. One of my kids fries were soggy like as if they had been previously fried and just reheated. Another one of our friends had a very burnt fried tilapia. The smell of it though was disgusting. I don’t know if it was old oil or the fish was spoiled or both that was a very overpowering stench. By the time we were leaving, my kids wanted to purchase some candy from the entrance and they were taking turns picking out the candy, well the waitress was very rude and told my son to hurry up and make up his mind. My dad was very upset with the way she spoke to my son and told her to change her attitude and not be disrespectful. She rolled her eyes and told me that he misunderstood what she had said to my son but it wasn’t a coincidence that my 4 children agreed she was very rude and disrespectful towards them. Point is we’ll NOT go there again and BEWARE if you do!!
Just left this place. We had 9 people. Service was horrible!!! Food grossed. I ask for fish and the oil most the been old cause the was taste grossed and old. Burn. We will never be coming there again. Waiter was rude. Disrespectful. We kept waiting for her to came to our table. The place wasn’t full at all.
expensive and slow service they took over a hour to service the food…
My family and I came to dine in and asked if a table that was still not cleaned would be cleaned soon so we could sit there. The waiter rudely responded that he didn't know when he'd be able to clean it (with rude hand gestures) and walked away.... he didn't offer us another table, or he could have said, "Give me a couple of minutes, and I'll have it cleaned." We immediately left and will NOT be returning. (We have dined here before several times).
Do not bother using their drive thru, no one attends to it. I called for drive thru service and no one came to window. I left and gave my business to El Rodeo across tthe street. They have drive thru and excellent service.
I understand is a business but WE ALL MUST be RESPECTFUL to other people that are in line first. Doesn't matter if they have cash or NOT‼️ Specially having just ONE CASH REGISTER ON the Bakery side UGH😩 I was so irritated cause the worker KNOWS BETTER she was in a rush on people getting out of there as quick as possible 😒🙄😒 just because the Bakery place is small is NOT our fault 💔 *Rosca-$30 *Milk 2%- $5.50 DIDN'T say the of EACH piece was but total $18 for half a bag of sweet bread
This place has really declined. They gave me the wrong tortillas and the flour ones they gave me were raw and stale. It’s sad bc I love Arandas but this location is not it.
Food was subpar. The chips and salsa were awful. Chips tasted stale and salsa is just tomato sauce. For my meal, I asked for corn tortillas and got flour. Fried cheese was hard. Waitress was rushed and didn't take the time to listen to us. There are a lot of aggressive flies in the restaurant that made eating unpleasant. Floors are slippery. The DJ was incomprehensible, and the music was too loud! There are racks of uncovered bakery items that you have to walk through to get to the bathrooms. Seems very unsanitary. The bathrooms were filthy and looked like they had only been nominally cleaned for quite some time. Mirror was filthy. I will not go here again.
Everyone received their food except for me. Waiter didn’t bother even checking on the table.
$15 just for a burrito nothing on the side no cheese on top like promised next time I wont be leaving a tip
Ive been a regular here for a while and this waitress tried to scam my family. The waitresses name is Mirna, she charged us 6 plates when there was only 5 and when she brought us the receipt she gave us one with a total that didn’t add up, the lady at first did not want to give us the other receipt and when she finally did after asking multiple times we saw she was including herself a 15$ tip already. Crazy because we were gonna leave an even better tip than that you just lost it all for trying to scam us.
Lately been ordering food online but this is the last time I order from there. Almost everytime something is missing. Manager will tell you to come get it or pick it up another time. Best thing to do is just call DoorDash or whoever to reimburse you because once you let that day pass you by you will never get your food replaced. They will give you the run around and hang up on you!!! I’ve always been the one to forgive and forget but not with Arandas!!! You guys have ruined it for me!!! You will never get another cent from me again!!!!
The food is not of good quality we ordered the fajitas for two and the meat was tuff and cut wrong. My rice was hard and the beans over salted. The charro beans sucked, instead of using sausage, they use thin sandwich ham?? The drinks are way over priced 19 for top self "gold" margaritas and it had way more ice than needed. The drink was tart and hardly could taste alcohol. This restaurant has gone down. Only good thing was the bakery and chips they serve. Not the salsa. I used to go to this restaurant as a little kid, but it definitely is not what it used to be. After my 128 dollar bill never again will I go to this restaurant poor quality food and poor service. Disappointing night. Go somewhere else this place is over priced and it's cheap food.
