Went to have their dine in $5 pho on 12/3/24. It was good. Their chili oil actually has spice unlike other places. This is worth the price more than HiSo, which I went 2 weeks before.
Very casual lowkey place to dine. Went in on a Monday for their $5 noodle soup deals. Have to grab water by yourself at the bar, you also order at the bar then sit down. Took 10mins for our food. Got kapoon clear noodle, 2x kapoon spicy noodle, kapoon fish noodle, eggrolls & crab rangoon. -Kapoon clear broth: the broth is pretty good & savory! would def come back here again for this deal. Some of my basil was already purple & dead tho so I picked them out. - kapoon fish noodle: I only tried the broth bc it was my friends dish but it was pretty good too. More salty side than sweet which is my preference. - kapoon spicy noodle: the pepper sauce is a little lacking & watery. Add in your own fish sauce & condiments to customize to your taste. Medium spice level (I liked!). - eggrolls were good - I didn't try the crab rangoon bc it was my friends dish Portion size for the Monday deals is good. They are somewhat smaller than an average bowl size likely due to the deals but still I was content. I did eat 2 bowls though cus Im big back lol I'll be returning again & esp to try their thai boat too.
This is my first time being at an old people's club. It was okay! The food was good though.
Thai Boat is in the spot. Chicken wings are perfectly crisp. Pork belly lab was old and soft from the pork. 3.9/5
Food was good and service was friendly. Music was definitely way way too loud. We sat way in the back away from the stage and we couldn't even hear each other talk. The base was ridiculously loud as well.
I'm not sure of the full details, but something happened that caused a power outage in the building. As a result, my family members and relatives had to set up in the dark, and one of my uncles had to go home to get a generator and lights just so we could continue with the event. Despite the chaos and sweating, we had a great turnout and still enjoyed ourselves. My suggestion for next time is to ensure that the proper equipment is on hand for situations like this, so families don't have to deal with unnecessary stress. You just never know what happens so it’s important to have backups.
Some dishes were decent. Their $5 noodle bowls are great portion size, filling, and had good flavor. Other than getting the food fast, they need more waiter/waitress. There was only one person taking order at the front and that same person cleaning the tables. When we got there more than half the tables had dirty dishes. Poor guy doing all the work. Their order system is not known to new customers and I am assuming they want you to order up at the bar, put your table number on the menu, pay, sit at your table and they bring you your food. They should have a sign to tell customers to order at the bar and free to choose a table so that customers aren’t sitting at a table waiting to be serve. Be sure to ask for a jug of water and cups after putting in your order cause they won’t bring it to you without asking! Other customers - maybe friends and family, since I saw some staff from the kitchen come out to take shot and talk with a family - don’t have common decency to tell their teens to stop running around. They were dashing through tables and moving chairs around. So rude. The staff and owners should have came out to regulate, even if it’s friends or family bc your establishment is open to the public not a private event. I wouldn’t go back to dine in. Would do take out because the chicken feet are delicious.
Came in when they opened up at 11am. Placed an ordered for boat noodles and chicken feet! Server lady literally takes 5 steps away before coming back to ask what kind of noodles I wanted again. A few minutes later food arrived, boat noodles and chicken wings not feet. Smh not wanting to make a fuss I didn't bother to correct them. Boat noodles were plain! No flavor of any sort. Noodles were spongy and bouncy. The meats were ok. The wings had a nice crispy batter skin but also lack any seasoning.
Zero stars. We walked in to find nearly every table filthy, like dishes had been sitting untouched for hours. We had to seat ourselves and flag someone down just to clear the mess. Still no water, no greeting, no acknowledgment—nothing—until we finally asked if anyone planned to take our order. We ordered the simple $5 specials, sticky rice, papaya and chicken wings. A large group came in after us, ordered the exact same items, and somehow got all their food first. We waited nearly 20 minutes, then our dishes trickled out one by one with long gaps in between. When everything finally arrived, they’d run out of the soup that was supposed to come with it—no warning, no apology. When we asked why the big group was served first, the waiter insisted they ordered before us, which was flat-out untrue. And the food? Nothing special—just okay. Combined with the disorganized service, poor management, and complete lack of basic hospitality, it was easily the worst experience we’ve had at WD. We won’t be returning.
Their drink is way too sweet.. so ask the guy to make new one or add one more shot into mix drink. We bought 4 cups. And we ask them why too sweet they said they can’t do anything bc the owner might yelling at them if they give us more alcohol But all too sweet … all these drink make by kids. Not worthy money. I asked them to make new one or make . Unprofessional
Always forget some items after orders. Every time I come here the servers will either forget the food that you order and will not bring it out until you go and ask for it.
Went in on Thurs for their pho special. Server doesn't come take order for like forever. Then the food takes over half an hour to arrive. Paying for food was even difficult. Unsure why it took so long to ring up my food. Don't expect refills especially on soda and it costs $4!!!!!
We went here for the $5 Pho on Tuesdays. Sat ourselves down, no water was given until 15mins later. We ordered 2 pho, 3 boat noodles, raw laab, and the jackpot papaya platter. Waited 1hr for our food even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. The papaya salad came out with no platter. Our noodles came out 15mins later and we told the older lady (she wasn’t our waitress but brought out our food) we ordered the jackpot papaya, she kept replying with “your ticket didn’t say jackpot papaya, it only said papaya” we repeated once more and she replied with the same thing. We were taken aback and just said okay and she left. I asked a waiter for condiments at our table since no one was serving us as well. My bowl of pho had 3 pieces of cutup meatballs & 2 slices of beef, no kidding! Raw laab was alright, needed a little more flavor. Papaya salad had a good flavor. This was my 2nd time at White Dragon Hall & I’ll save you guys some time and just say go to Cups & Cheers next door!! Better food and better service 🙂
Worse group of staff ever. Hosted an event here some years back. Security wouldn't let me in to my own event because I had shorts on so I had to go back home and change smh. I forgot my laptop charger on the stage and came back the next day to pick it up. The owner and security wouldn't let me in to check where I left it even when I told them who I was. Ended up having to buy a new one.
I personally think the food aren't great. 😐 I tried the curry noodle, boat pho, red curry, fish noodle, clear noodle, papaya, and laab and I don't like it. The food are not authentic or at least they could try to be. I felt that most of their dishes are cook in the easiest and convenience for themselves, so they can make fast and easy money even when the food tastes bad and quality are not there. For their thai curry, I would said it was one of the worst curry i ever eaten because there was no taste plus the meat that they used was so tough. I almost chocked on it. As for their fish noodle, they didn't used real fish. They used the can fish instead of the real fish and it doesn't taste good. Overall the qaulity of the good and ingredients is 1 out of 10. Poor quality of ingredients and taste bad. They are only in business due to all the drunk people who only come to party and are too drunk to tell if the food is good or not. If these people are not drunk 90% of the time, they will agreed that this will not survive sorely on their food.
They literally brought us a bowl of pho we didn’t order and when we told them we didn’t order it, they said “sorry you guys already accepted it and you guys have to pay for it” worse service ever. Blame customers for your mistake. Wow good job guys, keep it up.
Customer service no good, but still cut tips. That's not fair because i have been there more than 30 mins for my food since there was not many people. No water or napkin serve on my table at all, how come cut tips in my recipe? Tips should be optional lol.
Customers always come first if you want more Customers. Cook to slow. Waiting for more than 30 mins for just $5 noodles and Kaomonkai lol since there was not much Customers. You guys should always bring manue and drinks for Customers, not just let them sit on chairs looking around like strangers there. Please, you guys need to improve that, otherwise no more Customers in the future.
We hosted our grandma’s 86th birthday there, and this is the most unprofessional venue I see. We were told the venue is ours until midnight. Around 9pm the owner opened the venue to the public and random people started to come into the bar. These strangers even went to our food room and grabbed food that we prepared for our families and guests. We were rushed to clean up and left by 9:30pm. Here’s a bit of advice for the owner of White Dragon: if a family pays you to use your building until a certain time, you don’t open it to the public until that family is done with their event. I felt so disgusted and disappointed in this venue.
