Delicious! Highly recommend the cherry coconut coffee cake, purple power smoothie, chai, and sprouted nest sandwich! Literally came back here from a trip to saddlebag lake so we could have everything one more time before heading home. Would tell any friend heading to this area to check it out!
There is nothing better than hot coffee and a delicious (and healthy breakfast) after getting up early and shooting sunrise photos. Well...even if you slept in! If you are in Lee Vining, you can’t miss out on Latte Da Coffee. Organic coffee and smoothies. Baked goods including some gluten free.) Breakfast and Lunch Sandwhiches. I had a vegan sandwich with veggies, greens , home made hummus and jalapeños. They even had a gluten free bread that was good. But they also have non vegan and gluten filled options as well 😎. Super friendly staff. The coffee was good. Dark roast but still tasted the complexity of flavors.
This was such a nice, cute coffee stop on our travels. Love the swing on the porch and the seating underneath the apple trees! Great cappuccino too
Latte Da Cafe is a wonderful place to have an iced coffee and a piece of homemade banana bread. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great vibes, lovely garden to sit in
Coffee was fantastic and the breakfast sandwich delicious! What a lovely stop with great service and tables to sit in the sunshine.
A lovely little café with very friendly staff. The coffee is excellent and the pastries are fresh and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for a cozy break.
For the drive over the mountains I placed an order for the stellar blue sandwich as it sounded interesting. Took the first bite passing by the forestry headquarters and the flavors exploded in that bite. Need to enjoy this meal up tioga highway. But finished eating before Ellery lake. Too far away to go order another...now.
These folks are great. While on a years-long road-trip I was driving the 395 on my way to Sedona but was going to visit college friends in June Lake and Bishop to do a bit of climbing. It was late October and late in the day so I camped at Gull Lake on the loop. About 9 at night a bear tried tearing the door off my truck so I sprayed it but it wasn’t going far. I loaded up my stuff, drove back to Lee Vining, parked at the gas station across the street (I had an appt for the next morning - and they leave the heated and clean bathroom unlocked) to spend the night. The lovely woman and her husband at Latte Da sold me a nice pastry and let me use their WiFi to stream radio for the night. Everyone was wonderfully hospitable and the experience was 11/10 on what would become a very long adventure. Greatest little town and cafe above 7000 ft!
I love this place! Not only are their drinks and food selections excellent and delicious, but their property and grounds are equally delightful to the yes and spirit! Gorgeous flowers and herbs line the entrance and back yard seating! A place to rest and replenish along the hyway of 395 is a sweet surprise!
Latte Da is always excellent, and has been for the almost 10 years since I first visited. I look forward to their coffee and breakfast sandwiches as if it were a requirement each time I pass through Lee Vining. I love the Sprouted Nest and the Sage Grouse, best enjoyed from their front porch or back gardens!
Spectacular sandwich, great coffee, very decent prices (particularly after spending time in Yosemite!) great outdoor seating space on front and back lawn. Home made chai. Good people. Go give them your money.
Possibly the best Coffee I've ever had. It's easy to order, many options (Cake, Sandwiches, Shakes etc) and the atmosphere outside is great. If I ever come back to Lee Vining I'll visit again 100%. Shoutout to whoever the Barista is.
What a wonderful place to find after being in the mountains for 11 days. Great customer service and smiles all around. Family run shop with excellent coffee and food. All hand prepared by mom in the kitchen. Will stop by here every time I in the area. Great feeling to support such a wonderful local women owned business.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Latte Da Café I tried the Vanilla Latte, and it was perfectly smooth and flavorful. I also tried the Sage Grouse sandwich, replacing the bacon with turkey it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! And their muffins were absolutely world-class soft, fresh, and delicious. The cozy vibe and friendly service made the experience even better. I’d definitely love to go back again!
On our way to Yosemite via Tioga Pass, we were desperate for a great cup of coffee, and Latte Da delivered beyond all expectations. This place isn't just a coffee shop; it's a destination. From the moment you pull off the highway, you can tell it's special. The coffee itself is top-tier. I had an oat milk latte that was perfectly crafted—rich, smooth, and not a hint of bitterness. My partner's Americano was bold and flavorful, clearly made with high-quality beans. But the real surprise was the food! The breakfast burrito was a revelation: perfectly toasted, packed with fresh ingredients, and the perfect fuel for a day of hiking. The absolute best part, though, is their garden patio. Forget sitting in your car; this is a peaceful, beautiful little sanctuary with gorgeous flowers and a relaxed vibe. It was the perfect place to stretch our legs and savor our breakfast. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, managing a busy morning rush with smiles. Don't even think about getting your coffee from a gas station. Latte Da is an essential part of the Eastern Sierra experience. We'll be planning our future road trips to make sure we can stop here.
Cute place with delicious sandwiches and great coffee. I really liked how original their sandwiches were (try egg “patty” for vegetarian option!). Staff was friendly and open to me customizing my order and switching ingredients. Good packing for to go to take hiking.
Great little coffee shop, our drinks were perfect! Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Cute little place, wish we'd have gotten some T-shirts, their merch was all really nice.
I just had the Sage Grouse sandwich and a cherry scone and both were extremely delicious! Best food in town. Also the garden atmosphere seating is so pleasant. So glad I stopped in!
What a marvelous surprise. The sandwiches here are served on lusciously soft, flavorful focaccia. We got turkey vultures and found them to be superb. Mostly, I couldn’t stop obsessing over the soft but not dry focaccia. Iced coffees are a lovely compliment. Be sure to check out the sumptuously planted gardens. Clearly, they are a work of love by a talented gardener. Wild, abundant, and intriguing.
One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had hands down. Would recommend the Rojo Raven (speaking as someone who lives spicy Chinese hotpot and Thai food, watch out the sausage is *actually* spicy!) At 13 bucks a breakfast sandwich, a little on the pricey side though :') El Mono Motel guests get 10% off their order.
This is the place to stop if you are heading across Tioga from Lee Vining! We got 3 different sandwiches and took them up to an Alpine Lake for a picnic. All three were fantastic. The bread is delicious, the aioli a star, and all of the ingredients were super fresh and perfect. Man I wish I wasn’t 2,000 miles away…
Nice vintage feel, cottage gardens back (no traffic noise) and front, lots of birds. We had superb oatmilk coffees, and homemade zucchini bread, both delicious. There are gluten free brownies, Tshirts for sale and accommodation. Quaint place❣️
Without fail...you must stop here. Their sandwiches, coffee with pastries, are perfect. Take that perfection out front amongst the trees, grass, flowers and birds and then take in the sunshine and all those cool rides passing you by on the 395. Or if you prefer a backyard vibe, 'turn left' and sit upon butterflies, hummingbirds, and finches in their manicured patio. Just wonderful. We return often, and never leave unsatisfied. I even bought a killer cool shirt this time. Highly recommend!
Very nice place and great coffee. The girls were super friendly. It has a retro 50s vibe.
Hit this place on the way into Yosemite. Great people, incredible coffee, super cute outdoor seating! Loved it.
A wonderful place for breakfast, and sandwiches to take with you on a hike. We had breakfast in their wonderful flowerful garden. The breakfast pastries (a blueberry muffin and a cherry coffeecake) were delicious, but I don't think they were made fresh that morning. Still very good, and quite big. A chocolate chip cookie (for afternoon snack) was large, very nice, but could use a bit more chocolate (you can never have enough chocolate). The best thing were the sandwiches that we took with us for our hike. It is nice to have a place that will make fresh sandwiches for you in the early morning. My wife had a "vegan green swallow" - house baked focaccia with pesto, hummus, veggies, avocado. She loved it. I had a "Hammonds", with egg, ham, cheddar and jack cheese, on that same wonderful focaccia. Real ham, not pre sliced store grocery store sliced ham. Absolutely wonderful.
Laid back, good service. I enjoyed a dirty chi latte and a great granola in yogurt with fresh berries! Also serve decaf for those that have health restrictions.
Stop here at least once every time I visit the Sierras. The service is always friendly and the food is healthy is delicious. I love sitting on the swing on their porch with a coffee🙌
My daughter raved about Latte Da Cafe and she is right, they serve some interesting and unique coffees in a beautiful setting. You need to look hard for the sign because half of it is covered up by shrubbery but it well worth the stop. They have lovely gardens and tables out back to enjoy your coffee and pastries in. Some lovely Agastache is included in the plantings too!
Amazing cappuccino, espresso and sandwiches and very welcoming ladies at the counter. They bake right there in house, all is so good! A lot of cozy seating on backyard and front porch. Best place for breakfast, will come again.

The workers are phenomenal and recommended subbing turkey for bacon in the sacred gouse sandwich… this is the best sandwich I’ve tried in all of my life. Anywhere in the world! The focaccia bread is soft and freshly baked, the turkey is smoked and tender, and the fillings compliment it beautifully. I almost turned around to order another one 😅. The lattes and fresh muffins are amazing as well. If you have tried Mexican butter muffins, these taste just like that. A rare find but I will return again and again if I can!

I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk—solid 8/10. It wasn’t overly sweet and the espresso flavor came through beautifully. The vegan sandwich was excellent which was a great surprise because usually veggie sandwiches lack flavor. The atmosphere, however, felt uncomfortable. The cashier appeared angry while I was deciding, even though there wasn’t a line, which made the experience awkward and left me hesitant to return.
Stopped by this café for a quick brunch after driving through Tioga Pass and onto 395. The place is beautiful, the sandwiches were delicious, and the drinks were unique and tasty. Definitely worth checking out!
