3 stars because it’s very pretty and the oldest McDonald’s in Italy, but I got the pancakes and one of them had mold on it which was sad because I was looking forward to these pancakes. When my dad took them up to the counter they said it were normal. I didn’t know that people in Italy ate mold but ok. Also it took us a while to get our order made even though there was barely many people in there, but maybe they had a technical issue or a slow morning, I don’t know. But the scrambled eggs and bacon were bomb in my opinion, which was good because I barely ever eat scrambled eggs that weren’t made by me. Someone tell me if the pancakes are ok or not, but either way I couldn’t finish them :(

I had lunch here one day in Italy. The place is ridiculously loud, leading to an overall poor atmosphere to the restaurant. McDonalds. Call it what you want. The service was sloooooooooow, but in fairness the place was packed. The food was actually good, they have spicy nuggets which they dont have back in England, and they tasted nice. They also had extra deserts (I had mini donuts and they were also good). As for the rest, its just standard McDonalds. What you'd expect. The food also surprisingly expensive for a McDonalds, which was unexpected. Due to the noise level, I recommend coming with a large group of friends. Overall: 6/10. Not much special, and what was special was negated by negatives that wouldnt normally occur in normal McDonalds'. Somewhat recommended! To fast food enthusiasts

Ordered soft serve ice cream cone. Unlike other McDonald’s they don’t make the cone and come out to call with the food in hand. Instead the guy called my number with nothing prepared so I thought it was a glitch. I kept waiting until someone in my group asked an employee, who then told the guy working the counter to make the cone. This is really weird to me because no other McDonald’s I’ve been to in Italy does it this way. They always make the ice cream and come out with it. Maybe here they want to make sure you are there before putting out the ice cream (quick melt)? Still, did not like the inconsistency. Had no idea this is an old McDonald’s. I did notice the fancy artwork decorating the hallway to stairs. Impressively spacious on second floor. And the baked items are cheap on the first floor. One euro croissants!

This is the famous McDonald’s at Piazza di Spagna — the oldest McDonald’s in Italy — and honestly, it’s worth seeing at least once. The entrance looks more like a museum than a fast-food restaurant, with marble statues, mosaics, and a grand staircase leading to the McCafé. Ordering was chaotic. We used the app for coffee and hot chocolate, but staff kept sending us upstairs, then downstairs, then to different counters. It took about 15 minutes and several redirects before someone finally walked us to the correct station. Despite the confusion, the drinks were good and the experience itself is unique. If you’re in the area, it’s worth stopping by just to see how Rome does McDonald’s — unlike anywhere else in the world.

Most ridiculous lines ever. One can’t get coffee together with the order. So we had to wait 15 minutes for the food. Than another 10 minutes for the mc caffee counter… only to find out that it was not the one. Manager was standing next to me all that time and didn’t tell that. At the right mccafee counter guess what? … there was another line to wait! Total time from order to getting food ~30 minutes at a fast food restaurant. Soon after we finally got the food the manager tried to make us free the table in a rather rude manner.

I experienced racial discrimination; I stood at the counter for ages and no one paid me any attention. I ordered a pancake, and it was completely cold. They don’t want to give me a refund, and instead made me a completely new meal. I don't want to eat that again at all.

One of the worst branch of Macdonald i ordered today and was surprised that they gave me the wrong order with different selection not to mention the very rude manager she doesn’t know how to handle issues like that in professional manner was claiming yes it was wrong but decided to put blame on us for why we didn’t check after them. It was our fault as now per her we should open the burger and check they put all selections correct, very hilarious how they blame customer instead of apologizing for their mistakes nonetheless she also told us she had no time and not to bother her as she is busy !!!!! I advise everyone including tourists to avoid eating or ordering from this branch! They don’t even deserve the one star i gave for writing the review! Next time at least put proper manager who knows for the least how to contain the issue not worsen it!!

Good evening, My experience at this branch in Rome was very disappointing. The food quality was poor, and the customer service was also unacceptable. We informed the staff in advance that we are Muslims and that we do not eat pork, yet pork was still added to our order. When we pointed this out, an Iraqi staff member said that he is Muslim and that it was “normal,” implying that there was no issue with adding it. No proper apology was offered, and our complaint was dismissed and not taken seriously.

Dear Customer Service Team, I would like to file a formal complaint regarding a very unpleasant experience I had at one of your branches in Area 1. I clearly ordered my meal without bacon, however, the food was served with bacon included. When I reported the mistake, the staff were uncooperative and dismissive. The manager on duty responded in an unacceptable manner and said: “What can I do if you already ate it? I will just get you another one without bacon.” Her tone was sarcastic, and she made me feel mocked rather than respected. Additionally, an employee of Iraqi nationality who was with her had a very rude attitude, which worsened the situation. As a customer, I felt disrespected, humiliated, and offended by both the manager’s behavior and the staff’s lack of professionalism. This experience was extremely disappointing and far below the standards expected from McDonald’s. Due to this incident, this will be my last visit to this location, and I strongly do not recommend it to others. I hope this matter will be taken seriously and appropriate action will be taken to ensure this does not happen again.

Ordered pancake this morning, got the pancake as shown in the photo, is all overcooked and burnt, returned to them they said all pancake are like with bad attitude, I think it is not very right!!!
