Wow! This place is a real gem. It’s rare to find both amazing food and fantastic service in Jackson. Kampai has it all, Caitlin, our server was so great, incredibly kind and gave us great suggestions. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Delicious, fresh sushi. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our server recommended sushi rolls that we loved. We didn’t have to wait long for our food. We made reservations and were seated right away when we arrived.

One of my fav spot in Jackson hole, incredible service, cocktails are next level. The sake and wine selection was excellent but the food… wow… next level! Will continue to come back everyone i visit!

One of the best sushi restaurants in the world. Better then top New York / London Omakase sushi spots. This is a very special place with incredible staff, decor and of course, the freshest sushi with a modern twist you can find flown straight from Japan. Kampai accomplishes this amazing feat one mile above sea level! Thank you for an incredible experience!

I’m a repeat customer here and have consistently had some of the best sushi, anywhere. Every time I’ve come I’ve sat at the sushi bar and the chef has always been engaging and helped me navigate the menu. The quality of the fish, the creativity of the menu, and the execution are all outstanding inside the kitchen for cooked items and from the sushi chefs.

I went to here with buddy after the skiing at JAckson hole. The atmosphere, service, and food are gorgeous. The price is expensive, but it worth. It is very popular and you’d make a reservation a couple of days in advance.

We were lucky enough to get a last-minute reservation at Kampai during our stay in Jackson. I am so glad we did; it may have been our best dining experience of our trip! We started with some drinks and decided to order omakase, which is essentially a chefs tasting menu. We gave some basic parameters like my partner not liking raw salmon, love all tuna, and we really wanted to try the wagyu sashimi. This was the perfect meal. We liked the wagyu so much we ended up with 3 orders before we left, and topped the meal off with the soft serve with black sesame.

You're in good hands with Peter at the sushi bar. Phenomenal fish, every piece. Update: The happy hour at the rooftop bar is also incredible.

The best sushi experience I’ve had! Food was amazing and the service was great. Was great to sit at the counter and watch the chef prepare each course. 100% will return when I come back to Jackson!

Very good American twist on Japanese food. The only thing we didn't like is the rooftop didn't have the full menu as the main dining room. The service was very good along with the food and drinks.

Incredible sushi experience in Jackson, Wyoming of all places. It was the best sushi we’ve ever had. We did the Omasake and although it was pricey wouldn’t change a thing. We joked this probably ruined sushi for us because nothing will compare to how good this place was. We didn’t take many photos because we were so busy enjoying the food. We would dine here again in a heartbeat.

Excellent service, my party of 4 showed up with no reservation and Amy & Cat were able to seat us! The food was amazing, and you could tell that the team was really proud of their work!

Excellent sushi restaurant in Jackson! Highly recommend the 5-6 daily happy hour. The rooftop deck has gorgeous views of the ski mountain. Order the watermelon cocktail.

Visiting from out of town, it was our first stop and it was the best! We got to sit at the bar and got the best recommendations from the menu. The food was top notch and fresh, and the cocktails were creative and delicious. We're glad we got to experience this dinner on our trip!

Absolutely wonderful food and a very nice Sake selection. It is an experience to enjoy and the entire staff is great! As a small group we were able to enjoy and share everything from both the food and drinks. Received just the right amount of attention from all front of house staff and you are made to feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The food is fresh and amazingly delicious (especially when you consider where you are in WY). Very excited to be back home and be able to enjoy such an awesome restaurant. Can’t wait to enjoy the rooftop this summer!

Very good. John Galt rolls were amazing. One thing - don't get the tamago (overpriced + very thin). The ice cream for dessert is also wonderful.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, and my expectations were absolutely exceeded. The atmosphere is drop dead gorgeous, but at the same time accessible, as in you don’t need to be in a suit & tie to eat here. My husband & I had the: Waygu Gyoza 🥟 which I seriously could had 10 pieces myself because they were so delectable. Then for our main dishes we ordered an assortment of sushi rolls, nigiri, and hand rolls. All the fish was fresh & perfectly cut. My favorites were the fatty tuna & huckleberry uni hand roll (sounds funky, but try it). For the quality you’re getting, the prices are actually very reasonable. I will absolutely be back.

I had an incredible experience here. The presentation, the welcoming atmosphere from everyone I encountered was wonderful. I sat at the sushi bar, and my chef was very personable, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was delicious, and the selection was lovely... the uni is a MUST try. I recommend it highly!

I can’t recommend Kampai enough! If you’re a fan of high-quality Japanese food, this is the place in JH. The first thing that hits you is how fresh the fish is. The sashimi literally melts in your mouth. It’s seriously impressive. Beyond the food, the customer service was top-notch. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and knows the menu inside and out.

Best sushi in Jackson Hole, highly recommend eating upstairs with the views of downtown Jackson Hole. Amazing service. Ryan at the bar is top notch. Can't wait to go back

Both the food and atmosphere were excellent. We enjoyed the creative menu options and were impressed by the quality service. Great experience!

Solid Japanese restaurant with very good sushi and plenty of non sushi offerings. We ordered the Omakase, and after discussing dietary restrictions, the food started to arrive. Our preferred style is to be served sashimi and nigori seasoned and flavored by the chef so no soy/wasabi dipping is needed. While we've had more inventive and comprehensive Omakase, Kampai delivered a fine experience. Their menu is extensive and can offer something for everyone. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the mood for Japanese food.

David was our sushi chef; while the nigiri fish was very good, the portion sizes are very small. Also, we noticed the portion sizes from the other chefs were about 50% larger. I’m hesitant to give it more than 4 stars.

One star off for simply this reason: the hostess, before even greeting us, let us know that we had to leave our table by 7:15. We were dining with an 8 year old at 5:45, we left at 6:35, it wasn’t the right welcome at a very nice establishment. Food was great (loved the HH food menu), service was prompt and we left happy. Very nice touch to comp our dessert for our celebration. I recommend this restaurant, but please always welcome your guests upon arrival.

Going to give a review from the perspective of sitting at the bar! Wife and I chose the corner seat and had a gorgeous bartender! (didn't get her name). It's expensive here, but you'll have some beautiful drinks that are actually poured well and keep you buzzed through the night. The food was decent, all the sushi was great. The only reason I might mark it down was because of the really really high prices. I've had rolls on par or better for much less, but that's ski area prices for you. I did have a great meal and a wonderful time there but shelled out a ton for it. If you're just looking for value, I would skip. If you're down to drink and value pretty drinks to impress the ladies, then go right ahead.

Delicious sushi but very expensive, and attentive service but lacking personalization. If you’re looking for a premium experience, this is it, but if you’re looking for great sushi for strong value, I would suggest King Sushi. We’ve long wanted to go to Kampai and I finally brought my daughter here on a date, and it was a pretty big deal for us! Every bite of sushi we tasted was absolutely incredible, and the staff was highly attentive. Unfortunately, the prices were pretty expensive, but we knew that going in. The staff and service were incredibly polished, but what surprised me was that nobody ever asked our names or spoke to us person to person… they were really just there to facilitate a sushi order. Our waiter, Tim, was nice enough but also seemed disappointed that we were spending modestly and it showed toward the end (still the most expensive meal the two of us have eaten). I wish the runners would have let us know which fish was what toward the end… We can tell some of the basic ones, but the more complex would’ve been nice to know. When we asked our waiter, he would rush to answer, but never proactively provided it so we just stopped asking. Honestly, the highlight were the runners who engaged more meaningfully with my daughter than anyone else. We’d love to consider coming back, and would hope for a relational experience to match the food.

Food was delicious but crazy expensive for tiny portions. Wine pour was tiny and the place is just generally stingy. With unlimited budget I’m it’s fine.
