Today we order their caprese salad and the chicken pesto pizza. Not sure how we’re going to top that but we will definitely be trying more. Fresh toppings and a great staff. This is really a worthy stop especially because a lot of other places in Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms are mid (most places seem to know there’s not a lot of competition and just don’t work that hard to impress) Sky High Pie could hold competition in a larger city and would truly hold their own. Hands down our new post hike lunch spot. Like I said, go there now.

The BEST margarita pizza I’ve had in a very long time! Add in the Greek salad and it was a delicious find on our day in Joshua Tree National Park.

The crust is perfectly crisp, toppings are high-quality, and they offer gluten-free and vegan options with strong attention to dietary safety. Service is friendly and attentive, my toddler was getting fussy the staff went out of her way to bring crackers and ice for her. Soft serve 🍦 both chocolate and vanilla is a must, rich and creamy. Takeout is also available if you’d prefer to enjoy your meal with a view.

Loved this place- their Lobster bisque soup was perfect- with good number of lobster pieces! The Veggie Park was the most unique pizza we’ve had- it was delicious- with the perfect balance and combination of the sauces- white and pesto, yummiest blend of sun-dried tomatoes and all other veggies- in a yum veggie park ! My son loved his Aloha pizza too. The staff was good and the place was efficient! (Forgot to take pics, here’s one that my son took of his pizza- the Aloha Pizza) - Party of 4 at table 22.

We had regular pizza, a gluten-free pizza, Greek salad, and tiramisu. My husband raved about the crust on the regular pizza. I enjoyed the gluten-free crust, but wish the flavors were a little more pronounced. The Greek salad was amazing and my family raved about the tiramisu. Great vibe. Friendly staff.

We’re Dining with The Davids, and on a recent trip to Joshua Tree, we stopped into Sky High Pie—and wow, are we glad we did. This place takes pizza seriously. Everything is made from scratch, including the dough and the San Marzano tomato sauce that brings their red-sauce pizzas to life. We tried the Double Pepperoni—their most popular—and it lived up to the hype with that perfect crisp-meets-chew crust and a bold, authentic flavor. If you’re into white sauce pies, do not miss the Sky High. It’s loaded with thick-cut bacon, mushrooms, Kalamata olives, Gorgonzola crumbles, mozzarella, and a touch of arugula for freshness. It’s rich, savory, and beautifully balanced. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, and we were genuinely impressed with the passion of the staff, who clearly take pride in their craft. They even bake their pastries in-house, starting at 3 a.m.—and you can taste the difference. If you find yourself in Joshua Tree and you’re craving top-notch pizza with real attention to detail, Sky High Pie is absolutely worth the stop.

Everything about this place is amazing! The ambience, the food, the service. My vegan pizza was absolutely delicious. Fresh and tasty. We sat inside, kind of NYC vibe with the tables. Chocolate chip cookie I recommend too. Staff were friendly, fast, professional. Highly recommend this place and I’m very picky when it comes to food ☺️

Sky High Pie is hands-down one of the best gems in town! The pizzas are incredible—flavorful, perfectly baked, and always fresh. I’m also obsessed with their meatballs and beef skewers, which are packed with flavor. And don’t even get me started on dessert… the triple berry scones are heavenly, and the soft serve is honestly my favorite treat. Everything here is handmade, and you can taste the love and care in every bite. What makes this place extra special is the service. Chris is amazing—attentive, sweet, and always friendly. He listens, brings the food right to me with napkins and utensils ready, and makes every visit feel personal and welcoming. It’s rare to find customer service like that, and it really makes Sky High Pie stand out. I’m a local, and honestly, I don’t frequent many restaurants around here—but this spot is the exception. I come back at least once a week, and it never disappoints. If you’re in town, do yourself a favor and stop by. Sky High Pie is a Joshua Tree treasure!

STOP STOP STOP...MUST READ....THIS PIZZA PLACE ALMOST MADE ME CRY. YES, that's right for 27 years I have been searching for a really good pizza here in the USA. Many disappointments, and many pizzas tossed in the garbage. Finally, the search is over. If you want a real (90% close to being authentic Italian) good pizza then look no further this is the place. Real Italian tomatoes (certified), freshly made dough every day. Perfect dough consistency and shiny crust. Sheen is almost too much but hey it's a good sign that gluten has been happily stretched and olive oil added. Just perfect. Bubbles and black spots in the crust. And then that first bite. Perfect crisp and crunch in every bite. Nothing soggy in the middle and just perfect deliciousness all the way. They even offer Italian cuts to top pizza with. Unfortunately not salami. The staff is also super amazing, Mr. Styles... the gentleman who proudly told me about this place is one of the makers of these delicious, round, Godly treats. He told me how much pride and quality they put into these circles to the point where I thought he was full of it. But I have to admit. He was not. Then there was this pretty blond waitress who also was super friendly and never stopped smiling. Very attentive and professional. Unfortunately, I did not get her name..yet... All around the best atmosphere, staff, and pizza in the area. I am so glad I found this amazing gem in the desert. Thank you, staff and owners. You found a friend and customer for life. Wait a minute.... I just could not give up on finding something bad about this place. I mean, there has to be something. Yes, you guessed it right.... bathroom time it is.... in a bathroom you can truly reveal a restaurants true attitude for perfecting. Really, really.... this place was pretty packed and the bathroom had to to be cleaner than my own. No way. Yes way.... besides the soap bottle dripping and paper towel dispenser being empty (don't stress, they had paper towels on top of it) ii could not find anything. Not even a drop of pie on the floor. Unbelievable. This place.... absolutely amazing Next time pasta and desserts. Stay tuned... PS: if anyone tries to talk you into eating their Cannoli, don't fight it.... eat up. Super delicious.

We stopped by here after wanting something quick and delicious to eat after a long day hiking in the park. Surprisingly in all the years we’ve been coming to Joshua Tree, we had Sky High Pie on our list but had never gone until this last trip and we were pleasantly surprised by how good everything tasted. The ordering is a bit crammed when you walk in as it’s only a few feet from the front door but there’s ample food options to choose from their menu and ordering was quick and easy. The chicken pesto and Korean bbq pizzas spoke to us most so we got those for dine in and grabbed a spot on the front patio and eagerly waited while watching the sunset. Both showed up in a reasonable amount of time and were piping hot. On the chicken pesto pizza, the pesto tasted fresh and was accented nicely with the sun dried tomatoes and chunks of chicken. The standout though was the Korean bbq pizza that on paper sounded unique but in practice was phenomenal. The sliced pork belly was tender and flavorful and the sauce and green onions topping it tied everything together. We will definitely be back to try some more pies.

Sky High Pie was definitely one of many highlights during our Joshua Tree trip. They offer some unique toppings. We just had to try the one with lobster, which was a party to the palette with flavor. They use fresh ingredients, have a rustic charming little atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend! 👌

Can’t say enough good things about this pizza oasis found in the desert. Going to such a magical place and finding a gem like this was such a pleasant surprise. The vibes are wonderful and the food is just as good. Each pizza we had was better than the last, Korean BBQ, Margherita and our custom creations were all amazing. The flexibility and many dietary options on the menu, paired with expert execution, make this a real stand out establishment. Great wine options and many other trendy drinks to choose from. We went both nights we were in town because we wanted to get as much of this pizza as possible on our short trip. The staff were so kind and friendly, the kitchen was organized, efficient and clean, even during the dinner rush. We loved this spot so much, especially because they make you feel like part of the community as soon as you walk through the door. Our only regret was being too late for ice cream and not getting the tiramisu, but we will definitely be back. A wonderful place to visit while you’re taking in the beauty of Joshua Tree.

Definitely the best place in town. Fresh delicious food with an open kitchen. We came in 3 times in the span of 24 hours trying different items off the menu - so I can attest to the fact that we didn’t just get lucky with one good pizza. Not only was the food delicious, the service was incredible. It’s an order at the front and then head to your table to wait for food place, but it felt so welcoming from the first interaction. Ryan and Chris in the kitchen went above and beyond making us feel right at home and staff continued to check to make sure we had all we needed as we ate our meal. We brought our 1 year old with us and they were incredibly kind while he watched in amazement as they made pizzas. We went during rush hour for the restaurant, but we still got the same level of incredible service and food. Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance. 10/10 recommend. Will be back.

We also added some Tiramisu to the order. All 3 pizzas were very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The tiramisu was not good at all. tThey had added cinnamon to it for some reason and that made it taste bad. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to someone.

Incredible!! A must stop if you’re in the Joshua Tree area! Salads are huge with fresh ingredients and delicious dressing. The pizza….I could go on and on! Crust was crispy and soft, so flavorful and piping hot! Plenty for 2-3 people! Desserts were great! Baked daily-highly recommend the cannoli! Owner/chef/pizza creator was so friendly!! Staff overall was great!!!

Sooooo good, we dined in 1 night and did takeout the next night while staying at AutoCamp! The pizza crust is delicious. I just wish that they tossed the salad in dressing when we dined in vs brought it on the side. It was a little hard to eat but very good.

My husband and I are from NY and we loved the pizza at Sky High Pie! We got the margherita pizza and the truffle cream & prosciutto pizza and loved them both! The girl that took our order even came back to our table to see if we were still interested in dessert even though it was incredibly busy. Great place and service all around-we’ll definitely be back!

The pizzas were great. Crust was superb. I did find the rosemary on the aloha pizza to be surprising but in a delicious way. Langostino and truffle was my second favorite. My family went to some fancy restraints here and Sky High Pie is the top on our list. We enjoyed yall. Only downside is the size!

This place is a rip-off. $60 for a small pizza, a salad, and a ($6)cannoli. Making matters worse, they don’t accept cash and charge 3% to use a debit card. The non-disclosure of this fee is not only unethical but absolutely illegal. Welcome to America - the biggest Ponzi scheme on earth!
