Had a delicious meal tonight to celebrate both Mother’s Day and my birthday. The rack of lamb was delicious. My husband had whole lobster sautéed and my daughter a filet mignon. Thank you Rob for the flowers too.
Cozy and special atmosphere. Especially in the winter holidays. Service is friendly and professional and the food is great! The Tuba Burger is a refreshing course and they know how to make salads. Child friendly as well. It's a favorite to keep coming back to.
We heard so much about you that we went and had lunch on Monday. We thought it was going to be easy to find a table. The restaurant was almost full!!! My husband and I are visiting from Miami. We went with my daughter and family. The food was fantastic! House burger, mushroom risotto, seafood risotto, shrimp scampi and delicious desserts. Everything super extra yummy!!!
Small, local and delicious! This is a cozy local restaurant that's gets a little crowded due to its small size. What it lacks in size it makes up for in taste! The staff is great, the drinks are cold and the food is delicious. This place is always consistent and you can't miss !
This was my first time there. I went there because the company Christmas luncheon was held there. Very good service and reasonably priced menu. I will going again with my wife. Highly recommended.
Food was pretty good. Service was excellent. It feel comfortable in there albeit a bit small but cozy for small groups .
Very good food, rustic atmosphere, an institution at this point. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't stop in for a meal. Laid back casual dining, yet the food is on point. Menu is robust enough to have what you would probably want, but not do overwhelming you can't make a decision.
A true neighborhood gem and local icon! This restaurant never disappoints. The specials are always amazing and worth coming back for — from the flavorful paella to the perfectly cooked cowboy steak and the bursting plate of fresh flavors. The service is exceptional, warm, and attentive, making every visit feel special. Their wine selection pairs beautifully with the food, and the desserts are a must — especially the Oreo cheesecake made in-house, which is out of this world. Even my 12-year-old can’t resist — the chicken tenders are amazing! You just have to get over the quaint, antiquated structure and charm — but honestly, that’s part of what makes it special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for incredible food, great atmosphere, and outstanding hospitality.
This place is great to go to! The prices are very good and the food is even better. I’d highly recommend going here for to eat. The tavern atmosphere and the paintings on the wall add to the experience of the place. My favorites are always the pasta with muscles because they really loaded up on muscles. I also really like the penne vodka! Definitely go here if you have the chance
How many times can you visit a tavern (in the US) that is 100 years old? (If you're over 6', mind your head entering.) This building hasn't changed much. Inside, you will get what you expect from an old farm building. Quite a diverse crowd inside, friendly, and attentive staff. Food is what you would expect from tavern.
Celebrating its 100th anniversary, the Muscoot Tavern is still alive and kicking in the kitchen. A visit here quickly reveals why this tavern has endured a century. The low ceilings, white twinkle lights, and cozy atmosphere are most welcoming. The menu is full of comfort food favorites, including big juicy burgers, flavorful homemade pasta, a creative variety of thin crust pizzas, fresh seafood, and much more. The desserts look mighty tasty, too. There is a nice size bar and heated outdoor dining available. The kitchen closes between 8:30-9:15, so plan accordingly.
Very fun, nostalgic restaurant with great food and service. Funny signs, old photos, murals, wavy, wood floors, barn-like interior all add to the charm. It was a summer day that threatened rain so we dined outside under the tent. There is also indoor seating and lots of tables outdoors not under a tent. There were four of us. We had the Caprese salad, clams casino, rib eye steak, lobster salad, fish and chips and a turkey burger. Four different pallates but we all agreed, everything was outstanding - including the service! We will definitely be going here again!
Went for pizza on Friday night, but they were not making any, maybe oven issues. Got burgers, wings, calamari and some other stuff. Lots more fried hot peppers in the calamari than normal. Burger was very good. Best to go when it is not crowded. Stop calculating tip on tax on your bills. TAX is not a service. Otherwise good.
Casual atmosphere with a nice/diverse menu. Service was friendly though slow. I thought the Muscoot soup was average (others got the Clam Chowder & said it was very good). Ribs were below average with not a lot of meat. My buddy got a burger and said it was just OK. One of our group got a salad w/ lobster/seafood and said it was delicious. Overall, a nice dining experience but nothing special.
Back again for our 4th visit. Arrived around 7 and the place was almost full. Every seat taken at the bar. The place was poppin. Very short wait by the fire and we were seated. This time we decided on going with the French onion soup and Brooklyn pizza. The food was delicious as always. My girlfriend liked the green onions on the top of the soup. We had both never seen it before and was a nice touch. I Enjoyed a nice cold beer after dinner and watched sports and Fox News. I really enjoy the atmosphere and quality of the food in this long-time community staple. My one area of criticism tonight would be that it took a long time and quite an effort to get our check to leave. Looking forward to coming back and trying something new soon! Been here 3 times. I enjoyed the Lobster Ravoli and the chicken wings. I have also tried the baked clam appitizer. Check it out. Just be sure to duck your head when you enter the tiny door.
Just no to everything. There were spider webs with dead flies in the sconce by our table. And food splattered on the wall that looked like it had been there for ages. Dust everywhere. They only have a couple of high-chairs so we had to wait for one and when they brought it over it was FILTHY as though it had literally never been cleaned before. Oh and the cherry on top? There was a dead bee in the skittle candy dispenser by the entrance!! Will never go back.
