The best organised KFC I've been to. We were there on Sunday 3rd March. Whoever was managing on that day did an amazing job.
Went to kfc Kingston today and my car battery died just after the paying for my food. Two of the kfc staff came out and pushed my car even told me to stop to grab my food and pushed me out to another kfc workers car who had jumper leads that jump started my car. I offered them money for their troubles and they declined, very kind people. Thank you so much guys!
Service was great, staff very helpful and all done with a smile. Food was freshly prepared and exactly as we ordered.

I've had a few meals here now and they have all been consistently good. The service is the most impressive thing though. The service manager Bridget I believe her name is, takes her role very professionally and is very good. It is nice to see this sort of work ethic in a fast food restaurant. Keep up the good work!
My boyfriend and I had a few drinks last night and decided to cure the hangover with some good old KFC. Ordered through the app, made some customisations and we received everything fresh, hot and exactly as we ordered. The best KFC we’ve ever had!!
The staffs are friendly and we have both options drive thru and in house cafe. The wait time post placing the order is 10 minutes. The ambience is good and quality of foods can be improved.

KFC Kingston is one of the faster, more reliable stores in Hobart, in my experience. They always get my order right and staff are friendly and helpful. Will not hesitate to visit when in the area. 😀
We had ordered on line and arranged drive through pickup. The order process was seamless and was prepared when I entered the drive through. The food was hot and well prepared, all pieces of chicken were accounted for and the chicken was cooked nicely and non greasy. Probably one of the most enjoyable over all fast food experiences in a long time. Well done, KFC Kingston.
5 our of 5 stars to Angus and his crew. He's always got this positive vibe & is very cheerful. He loves his job! Food & service quality are top notch all the times I've driven through. Hot & Crispy! KFC Kingston wouldn't be the same if it wasn't for Angus. Definitely deserves a promotion & pay hike for the amazing work that he does!

Maybe the best fast food... on the island. Here all the time, order always comes out lightning fast, mistake-free and with amazing customer service. Also, the brunette girl who works the front is a legend. Literally moving so fast & efficiently with a smile. KFC is delicious, but I reckon I honestly order more just because Im so impressed with this spot.

The chips were good and when we asked for extra chicken salt, the workers gave it to us. They were also very nice but not very enthusiastic.
I came through to get my granddaughter some nuggets, and they were amazing. Great service and hot nuggets. I don’t usually come here, and I was pleasantly surprised. I may have to start coming more often 😊

I bought KFC quite frequently when I don't have time to prepare the meal. Love the wicked wings and Zinger Burger the most. I did not give five stars because for some reason, we had our order incomplete quite frequently. I bought 20pcs wicked wings, we received 16. I bought double combo meal (2 burgers, 2 sides and 2 drinks), one burger was missing. Bought box set, no coleslaw in it. They gave me the replacements when I complained, but it is inconvenient to always going back and forth to get 4pcs of wicked wings or a burger... It would be better if they can check the order before they hand it over to the customer. I know they are very busy and this place is very popular, but this mistake may have bad impact on their reputation if they did not take an action.
Amazing service, such kind workers. The food is amazing for my big as back, and my friend Cole (he’s an absolute beast and is the biggest of them all) will hopefully order the whole menu, unless he already has. Other than that, loved it. Chefs kiss l
Just my burnt crusty nuggets
I honestly use to love my KFC now just Hardly buy it Chips sometimes has a funny taste of old Oil, taste is not right and Chips not Hot enough, Chicken pieces are sometimes raw it cold make anyone very ill. It happened to my Sister in Sydney she ended up in Hospital. You go home you look inside your food box and everything just a mess it's like they just throw it in, very disappointing 😔
Got drive thru here. Felt stressed and rushed cos I was trying to read the menu (I never get KFC) but good feed. Lost 1 star for the stress of making a decision quickly at drive thru
Food usually good. Orders are frequently wrong. I don't expect much from fast food, but at least make sure the orders are right. We've been given mouldy bread rolls twice.
Not bad good service though some food disappointment but I think it's KFC short cuts to make profits what ever happened to hot an spiceypieces not just off cut fillets.
Somehow KFC doesn't seem as good as it was years ago. Did they change the recipe? It's an OK meal but only one I'd have a couple of times a year. But still,tasty and convenient.
We visit here once a week for a snack after school. I have noticed the servings of popcorn chicken have been getting slowly smaller and smaller. Might have to switch to another KFC
Greasy Joe's would have been so upset at this KFC. Not one table was clean, smeared grease wiped along the tables - it was pretty gross. Service was poor. You can't just leave the store in the hands of 12 year olds and expect it to be right. Then there was the issue of boys and girls with their pheromones running high without any adult supervision. Won't go to that one again 🥺
Popcorn chicken was cold. They were busy so im not sure why.
Food was not hot, chicken or chips. I had to take some back that was not even warm to the touch and the kid behind the counter asked me what I wanted them to do? He replaced the chicken with some fresh pieces and full credit to him, he gave 4 pieces to replace two pieces. I was just visiting the area but is it too much to expect hot food? At least he tried.
Staff were fine but the food and service were disappointing. Even with few people ordering it took 20 minutes for me to receive my meal. The chicken has a bad after-taste and the chips are somewhat bland. It wasn't the worst experience, but there are definitely better shops with better service and better food within walking distance.
Ordered through the app, which was simple and easy enough to do. We received an apology for the wait, all was good- it happens. Then we got the incorrect order. It pays to check your order.
Often poor communication through drive thru. Often gruff or rude, 80% of the time they get my order wrong. food not as good a quality as I've had in other kfc restaurants. Dripping in oil & soggy or cold
The store was busy but when other orders taken after ours are ready before ours its ridiculous. When my hubby asked what was going on he was told they were waiting on the two wraps to be made. 10 minutes later we were still waiting, it doesn't take 10 minutes to make a sweet chili twister and a mediocre Caesar Salad Wrap. When all four meals finally arrived no sorry and a half full large box of chips as an apology. If we hadn't have promised our granddaughters KFC eat in for dinner I would have demanded a refund.
We ordered 4 burgers. Each burger had about 3 strands of lettuce in them which was super disappointing. The chips were barely cooked and not even salted. Disappointing stop for us.
Just picked up a family meal. somewhere around $32 paid. Tasted terrible. Very greasy, no KFC spices taste whatsoever. Coleslaw tasted very ordinary, not what we usually get. Potato and gravy and chips ok.
Staff are ok, but all burgers with the lettuce cabbage mix in them taste DISGUSTING. 86 it. I understand there is a lettuce "shortage" (even though Mcdonalds doesn't seem to have a problem), but there are certain vegetables that don't work together. And they're TWO of them.
3/3 of my last orders have had something wrong. Cold chicken, stale fries, forgotten items. I understand when things are busy it can be tough to keep up. But maybe staff need retraining on checking orders are correct and keeping food fresh. For the price point that’s the least we should expect.
Ignored by staff for almost 5 minutes before service. No acknowledgment or apology for delay. Food was cold, the mayonnaise was off and the fillet burger was about the same size as a tender and full of gristle. Terrine, service and terrible food.
I reluctantly gave in to my husband's suggestion of KFC for dinner.... never again! His meal wok passable but when he opened the bag he asked me if I had dropped it! My twister packaging was open at the end with the filling all over the bottom of the bag it didn't appear that the wrap had been "wrapped", it was tasteless with what looked like the scraps of a salad, while the chicken was tender it certainly didn't taste smoked as the description nor could I taste the mustard sauce, my chips were cold & looked like they were the broken leftovers that some kid refused to eat! Never again! 😡🤬
The service was poor there is no training in customer service. The wicked wings was so small and poor. The three piece box had a rib cage in and two small pieces of the breast meat. Not even a thigh or drumstick. The zinger box had the same awful wicked wings in with the burger. The cashier just gave us two Pepsi drinks and did not even ask what drink we would like. The biggest waste of $34.00.would not come back again
Wasn’t even KFC! The chicken has no flavour/spice and it was all cold. The thing that was hot was the potato and gravy. Absolutely ridiculous for such a big franchise! ‘ customer service ‘ clearly wasn’t a thing either, quite rude. Do not recommend, and I’d suggest that KFC Kingston do better.
Need some experience up there seriously. Meals are constantly wrong. Don't ever recall seeing an adult in the building. Have to check the bags every time because 9 times out of ten meals are missing some thing. If they do get it right I'm like wow. Tonight my 2 x 2 piece feeds with 1 upsized were 2 boxes with 2 pieces of chicken and a small chips each. No gravy or rolls or napkins etc and the large chips.
Once again, the staff forgot the aioli sauce I paid for. Par for the course here, so it wouldn't have been a big issue - except I could have REALLY used it for my popcorn chicken that was soaked in grease, cold, and burnt, to cover up the lingering taste of charcole chicken. Furthermore, the lukewarm gluggy chips were so heavily salted they were inedible. Only part of the meal that wasn't terrible was the bottle of 7up. Complete waste of time and money.
Shocking service, long waiting time. Then our group of 13 people got asked to leave halfway through our meals because they had just cleaned the tables. Obviously to didn't want to clean again. It's your job, lazy and very rude.
I don’t normally write negative reviews but I’ve had enough bad experiences here and I feel like I need to say something. There’s been multiple times where I’ve been told by friends that their chicken has still been uncooked in the middle and has had blood coming out of it. Pretty much every time I’ve been there I’ve been missing something that I’ve ordered through drives through and I’ve had to go back in and ask for it. There’s also been other experiences that haven’t been great. I work in hospitality and I completely understand that it’s easy to make mistakes and everyone has their off days, that’s totally fair enough. But when there’s multiple people talking about having the same negative experience I think it needs to be addressed. 🙂

Sick of KFC kingston, I order zinger burger upsides, 6 tenders, 3 pepper mayo sliders today, they give me a zinger burger, wasn't upsides, just regular, left out the 6 tenders and 3 pepper mayo sliders, this has happened on a number of occasions, disgusting, didn't realize until I got home, time to go elsewhere, very disappointing. 😢
We just ordered on what was probably the busiest day so I've never had to leave 1 star feedback for them before however our meal was boardline inedible. The popcorn chicken smelt and tasted like tobacco it was so smoked and burnt and the chips were also burnt and off. Definitely wouldn't recommend going on a busy day. I guess you really get what you pay for when under-trained, under-staffed teenagers sell cheap fast food.
Terrible, rude customer service. When we arrived, we were not greeted, no smiles, and a very grumpy face on all the staff. We had to wait for them to finish chatting before they took our order at the counter, and it wasn't even a busy day. I hope this gets to the manager of the place. Our food box was thrown on the table. This has to be one of the rudest staff at any KFC branchlet I've ever experienced. The staff name is Tyler, I spoke to him and I told him it's not very nice. I did not use vulgar language, from a man to a man, I just told him it's not civil to do that. I hope no one receives treatment like this from that staff. If only I could give negative stars.
POOR SERVICE - Not sure if this review will make a difference as this business has a lot of terrible ones. Today I had the privilege of sitting at the order/microphone box for 15 minutes. The cars behind me were backed up out to the highway. Eventually someone decided to talk to me to advise that the system was down and I would have to come in the store to order. Not sure why it took 15 minutes for this decision to be made. Also unsure from a customer’s point of view why you wouldn’t start by saying sorry for the wait. I was then told that this is not KFC’s fault it was ANZ’s. I think we can blame the banks for enough these days but poor service and a terrible judgement call, I don’t think so.
The staff here would have to be the rudest bunch of bogans I've ever come across. It's evident that they would rather be anywhere but at work and act like they're doing a public service. I've never encountered one staff member who was polite or had any degree of customer service. They're always acting the fool and when they have to serve customers act as though you have interrupted them and serving you is an inconvenience. On the occasion tonight, the guy serving stood back and threw our food into the boxes. As for the girl who took our order she was too busy laughing to hear through the speaker box. This store really needs a shake up. Whomever the franchisee is, is clearly not keeping a good enough eye on their staff. The level of unprofessionalism is astounding!!! Won't be frequenting this store again.
Chicken batter is dark brown and chicken dry and overcooked only happens at Kingston have heard the same from a number of people .Need to lift your standards.
This is the second time I got missing item in my order. The first one was missing chicken, and the second one was missing pepsi in my meal order. So dissapointed when we expected to eat the food straight away once home but the food item’s missing. Updated: 27/09/23 I just bought 10 wicked wings from drive through, and AGAIN I got missing wings. When I arrived home and wanted to eat, only 9 wings I got. Can KFC staff do counting? Or you guys just do it in purpose?! 😡🤬
They were so under the pump. It was discusting. Cold, overcooked, and tiny pieces, buger was squashed.
Missed part of my order many times, but never bothered going back. Today I was served a family feast (10 pcs chicken) with 5 wings, 2 thighs and 3 drums. These people should know what pieces should be served in a full chicken. The chicken looked tiny, dry and shrunk (lying in the hot case for hours). I went back to shop and the staff seemed to think I have been served good product. Other than missing a gravy, there seems to be nothing wrong with what been served.
The attitude was terrible. I stood in front of the counter and nobody paid any attention to me for two minutes. A tall male staff member passed me three times. He didn't answer a word and slowly put others' packages on the table. Finally, I left disappointed. Someone should come to manage the place
Spent nearly $100 for a party. Order was completely wrong and half missing. Refused to rectify the problem unless I came in even though it was delivered. This KFC has a bad rep. Completely understand why now 😤
I ordered a favourites box with 2 extra pieces of chicken only to find when I got home there was only 1 extra piece of chicken and no chips. I rang to complain and get advise on how to collect my missing items as returning at the time was not an option. I left my name and number but no one bothered to contact me.
Not good waited 20 minutes Come up our order was ready the serving Staff member gave it to another customer When I gave them our number then they realised what they had done. So we had to wait another 5 minutes for them to do it again. Not fast food anymore. Service was always good but not any more.
Unfortunately there isn't negative stars as an option. My experience involved ordering a three piece chicken meal,granted it cost me $11.95, but honestly the three pieces of chicken were smaller than a quail,(and undernourished to the point where the R.S.P..C.A would be called to investigate. The chips tasted and looked like they were fried hours before and re-heated while waiting for order. I just question the integrity of the assistant filling the orders,or the manager who you would expect as an important part of their role to not even consider passing such a poor excuse of their famous brand on to a paying customer. As a result of this experience I will never again Purchase a take away from this business,which will probably not hurt your profitability too much for now,but remember one dissatisfied customer will tell on average ten other people.
Absolutely dreadful, my daughter went in to order a large chips and waited in line over 15min only one other person in the store on a Saturday night staff turned around and looked at her but didn't come and take her order instead turned back around and started talking to another staff member, Absolutely dreadful customer service and staff sitting around talking not attending to customer to take orders. When order was taken staff member was very rude, will definitely not be ordering from this establishment again would give negative stars is available
-Over the past few months, we have had multiple issues with our burger meal orders from this establishment. -Two months ago, when we placed an order through MenuLog, we received someone else's order entirely. -Then, just two weeks ago, another MenuLog order was missing a burger from our meal. -Most recently, we decided to visit the drive-thru for another burger feast, but once again experienced problems. Our order was missing a Zinger burger and an order of chips. Additionally, we paid for 12 Wicked Wings but only received 10. This is completely unacceptable. We paid in full for our orders, yet keep receiving incomplete or incorrect items. -If the staff are unable to fulfill orders accurately, they should not be working these positions. The establishment should consider replacing them with more capable and attentive employees who can provide the level of service customers expect. When I tried to calmly address these issues, I was met with an unprofessional attitude from one of the staff members.
Me and my dad went after a game of footy and we ordered on those I pads and the I pads started screaming at me so we went up 5o the counter to order and the girl at the service desk ( I think her name was cole ) started ignoring me and my dad and threatening to eat our food and imma big back so this really offends me
Pretty poor service, we ordered a giant feast and zinger box last night, after waiting in store for half an hour, many items were missing from our food, including two pieces of chicken, our dipping sauce, one of the large chips. From the zinger box one of the chicken pieces were also missing. (We realized once driving 40 minutes back home). Counter staff were very rude and abrupt to many of the customers. I get fast food can be a frustrating place to work, I've been there, but people should receive what they actually pay for.
Been here a few times and is consistently the worst KFC I’ve ever had. Always cold, stale and 0 salt even when you order extra. Not going back to this kfc
After 20 minutes I was told another 12 minutes. After another 17 minutes I got the most underwhelming food. I asked the manager when collecting the food why it took over 35 minutes. She told me they didnt cook enough chicken. The chips were stone cold and the burgers were tough. The chicken pieces were nice and fresh but that was the only good thing.
I ordered a small meal for 13.95 last night. It wasn't too bad until I get to the burger. Half of the bottom bun was solid. It had clearly been made some significant period before I purchased it. I took one bite and the chicken burger was disgusting. I spat it out and threw it in the bin. Had I not have been so far away, I would have returned and complained.
Terrible food. Not worth your money or time. Always poor food to the point you can't eat it, chicken that has obviously has sat around for hours, same with potato and gravey. most of the time you don't even get you whole order. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS LOCATION IS STILL OPEN. STAY AWAY.
Bloody hopless waited 3 0 minutes and then did not have what we eanted
We waited over 30 minutes for our order. We got cold chips and the rest of the meal was pretty average. They eventually replaced the chips after one of the staff after another 5 or so minutes noticed us waiting. Heaps of staff they’re mostly doing nothing and ignoring customers. So so disappointing. Try harder.
Honestly - every time I go here I get something left off my order that I have paid for. I should know better & check the box before I leave drive through but if there’s a queue I don’t like to hold the customers up behind me. Today no slider no Boneless tender pack. The Zinger box, my son couldn’t eat the chips or the tenders, cold & chicken so dry he couldn’t chew it. Never again.
I was told to wait 10 minutes in the car park for my order and assured it would be brought out once ready. After more than 20 minutes with no update, I had to return inside to follow up. I was then told the wings were still being prepared and asked to continue waiting. In total, the wait exceeded 30 minutes for a simple 10-wings order. Had the actual wait time been communicated honestly at the outset, I would have requested a refund and left. Instead, I was repeatedly given short time extensions. This reflects poor order tracking and communication standards. When I raised the concern, there was no meaningful acknowledgement of the delay. To make matters worse, the order was incomplete — only 9 wings were provided instead of the advertised quantity. This experience demonstrated serious issues in service management and quality control. Please do not call me. All communication regarding this matter must be conducted via email so there is a written record.
Hi KFC kingston, store manager and the owner. Please change the freakin oil of your fryer. You guys are playing with customers health. Is that the chicken you serve to the customers. The chicken is black. It’s because you guys don’t change the oil or filter it. You’re using the same oil for months maybe who knows. Please follow the actual food safety guidelines. That’s the wrost kfc I ever had in my life. Thanks
We've attended this KFC maybe four times in the last 2 years. They consistently seem to get our order wrong, with senior staff rolling their eyes when we check our bag at the counter. On the last occasion (19/02/26) we both felt deeply ill after consuming the chicken here, with symptoms matching salmonella poisoning. Junior staff generally do a very good job, so kudos to whoever does the hiring, but senior staff are letting the team down. Pick up your game, Kingston KFC!
The WORST KFC ever, every single time we go here they have no lettuce, if it was just once I could get it but it was literally 4 times in a row they didn't have lettuce, how can you not have lettuce? Go across the damn road and buy some or order an adequate amount ffs, their chips are always discoloured and have brown patches everywhere and they always forget the sauce, this is the worst KFC in Tasmania, go literally ANYWHERE ELSE.
I waited 30 minutes for my order at 8pm and that is not an exaggeration- as a fast food worker myself this store completely defeats the point of fast food. Three crew members were packing orders out the front also???
Twice in a fortnight, and very rarely get take away.. Ist got totally wrong order. And 2nd ordered nuggets for my elderly mum as she likes them as a treat.. they were cold, black as and thin as.. like cooked in dirty oil, phoned and complained..I returned them for a ' FRESH COOKED replacement, They came out exactly the same..

Cold unsalted chips. Regular Popcorn chicken was in a the small box, you couldnt get any smaller. Coleslaw looked like cabbage mush, no carrot or green colour.
Again we tried the tenders burger and chips. Awful. Chips underwhelming, chicken tender burger, only just warm, half size tenders with a small squirt of dressing. What a waste of our money.
Terrible. Barely anyone in store, waited over 10mins (closer to 15) for a zinger stacker and 2 small sliders. Was hoping that due to the wait ( zinger chicken patties take 7mims to cook) that they would be fresh. Not even close. The stacker was cold essentially. Didnt have chips with the meal, so no delay cause of that. The sliders were ok, but absolutely gutted about the burger. That was terrible. Would of expected that if it was an instantly made and given to me. But the fact that i waited so long and the burger patties were cold and hard. Shame shame. Poorly trained staff.
I’m really disappointed with the Wicked Wings I ordered today. The portion sizes are ridiculously small. For the price I paid, I expected decent-sized wings and a value for money meal, but instead I got tiny pieces that didn’t even fill me up. Definitely not worth the cost. KFC needs to seriously review their portion sizes because this is just not acceptable for what customers are paying.
Absolutely Unacceptable – Never Ordering Again Placed an order with KFC Kingston at 4:39pm through Menulog. By 6:50pm, it was still stuck on “Preparing your Order.” It’s a Friday night, and my family—including young children—were left waiting for hours with nothing to eat. Completely unacceptable. This isn’t the first time this has happened, and clearly nothing has improved. The delivery driver even arrived but couldn’t deliver because the food wasn’t ready. Disgraceful service and a total lack of respect for customers. Even the order were not properly prepared, missed 10 wicked wings. We will never order from this KFC again and strongly advise others to avoid this branch.
Refused service to me, removed my mega burger feast from the order and told me to leave when I pointed these issues. Disgraceful behaviour from the workers there, especially a young man whose name rymes with Oston Billman
It used to be good, but the last couple of times have been disappointing. We ordered a bucket of chicken and it didn't even taste like KFC , was disgusting and went in the bin. The chips are bad with no seasoning, if you ask for extra seasoning they don't even give you any. I put in a complaint about the bucket of chicken and had 2 missed calls from them and they considered the situation sorted. Very poor. Update: 10th Aug 2024 Went today and got a finger box, was the worst I've ever had. See the photos. It was actually inedible and went in the bin.
