Beautiful and immaculate restaurant at the shops in Poipu. The service was phenomenal, and had the best alfredo and fish in our lives. The portions were great. A must stop in your visit to Kauai.
We had great food and wonderful service while dining at The Table tonight. We shared a caesar salad that had just the right amount of dressing and shaved parmesan cheese. We both had the nightly special which was crab crusted ono. We opted for mashed potatoes and asparagus for our sides. The food was served hot and was delicious. We had the grasshopper pie for dessert. We will definitely be back next year! (We were kind of disappointed that they no longer had the seafood boil...that we have had the last 2 years...but the ono was great too.)
Came here for happy hour because the restaurant across the way was already full. So happy we did. We had great service at the bar where we sampled a variety of the happy hour drinks and then some. Wings and fries appetizer was great, with the food fresh and cooked perfectly. We decided to stay for dinner because the Bar Prix Fixe menu was too good to pass up. $48 for a starter, main, and dessert! Two of us had the braised beef and they raved about how good it was. Another had the fresh baked fish (Ono) and loved it. I had the small plate ribs and slaw and they were excellent. The tangy sauce was in perfect harmony with the creamy slaw. This has been the best dining experience we have had so far in a week in Kauai, all because the restaurant we thought we wanted to try was full. Thanks universe.
We sat down at Keoki’s, read the menu and walked out. It felt like Cheesecake Factory to us. My daughter who is a savvy 22 year old from NYC quickly found this place and we knew it was more our vibe since we were looking for a really good meal for our last night. Maybe it doesn’t have the ponds and the tropical flowers, but it is gourmet, elegant, and worth every penny. If you’re looking for an upscale, gourmet, Hawaiian meal, this is it. And comfortable booths!!!
This restaurant is underrated! It is easily one of the best on the island. We dined there on the last night of our stay and was pleasantly surprised to be able to find a table at the last minute. We ordered the mushroom risotto croquettes and the St. Louis ribs as appetizers. The ribs were falling off the bone and the croquettes were melting in our mouths. For main dishes, we had the pork chop, the shrimp boil, and the pasta. The pork chop was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The portion of the family style boil is quite large, definitely sharable between two people. Our son loved his pasta. Overall it was a great experience. Highly recommend it! The restaurant does not yet have its liquor license. We are looking forward to going back one day and enjoying a meal with wine.
The food and drinks here were excellent! One of the top places 2 places we ate on this trip (better than Keokis, better than Dukes, better than the hotel restaurants). Unfortunately, I think people miss it because it is upstairs. Please give it a try, we want this restaurant to survive! We enjoyed the shrimp & polenta, french onion soup, and beet salad (the dressing was lovely). I had the Lilokoi Lemon Drop & Li Hing Margarita. Best drinks for the same price as other fancy restaurants. We also enjoyed the Haupia Bites and Lilokoi Creme Brulee.
Nice last minute choice; staff helpful with the menu selection; dishes tasty and nicely presented. Pricing reasonable for offering. Highly recommend.
The Prix Fixe three course meal -- in the stylish bar -- is a great value, and all five things the two of us tried (we had the same main) were delicious, beautifully presented, and our bartender was personable and sweet.
The food was delicious but the #1 reason we’ll be coming back is because of the EXCELLENT customer service from our server, Jenny. She’s so warm, kind, and fun. It felt like we were conversing with an old friend rather than someone we literally just met. The rib appetizer is the tenderest, fall off the bone meat I’ve had in the longest time. The French Onion soup is also one of the best I’ve had in recent memory! Thank you Jenny for making our dining experience the best we’ve had since arriving in Kaua’i
Table was excellent. - The ribs “small plate” was cooked well. The sauce wasn’t too overwhelming. You can still taste the bbq smokiness. - The French onion soup was good. - The Paella was flavorful and highly recommended. With no liquor license, it’s byob, so the tab is reasonable. We’ll definitely be back. My daughter loved the crème brûlée with lilikoi (passion fruit) custard on top!
I come here often on my trips to kuaui and is always one of the first places I hit up when I get there. I don't think I've ever had a bad dish. The pork chop is hands down my favorite, but if you are there when the special is braised short rib over mushroom risotto, you have to try that. The mushroom risotto is to die for. The staff is super friendly and accommodating when they can be. Atmosphere is really upscale. Would and have recommended this place to everyone.
Good food. Appetizers were the highlight. Paella was good. Penne pesto was just ok - not enough strong flavors. Mahi seems like the next entree. I did not like the Shrimp Alfredo.
New pop up restaurant at The Shops at Kukui’ula. Located upstairs above Malie in the former Ruth’s Chris space. Table at Poipu serves amazingly delicious american fare in a casual setting. Their croquettes are mind blowing, the bacon wrapped scallops are cooked to perfection, the artichoke dip is the best I’ve ever had and the paella is a house favorite. Highly recommend!
Lovely dining experience last night. Had the privilege of sharing in the Croquettes, Artichoke, Blackened Ahi and even some dessert - mint chocolate chip ice cream pie! Nicely portioned and not a bad bite the whole evening. Thanks Table - this is one of our new favorites!
This might have been the best meal I’ve had all year. Every single dish my party of 4 had was exquisite! We had a phenomenal server named Aerica. 10/10 would recommend checking this place out.
The food was delicious. I had the blackened ahi and my husband had the braised beef, both were excellent as were the starter salads.
Had an incredible dinner at great service. Will make this a must stop on every visit to Poipu!
We were looking for a nice meal in the Poipu area and came across Table at Poipu on Open Table. The hostess was very welcoming and the atmosphere was great - the decorations were very tasteful and everything was very clean and neat. I had the French onion soup followed by the bone-in pork chop and my wife had the beet salad followed by the beef tenderloin special. This was absolutely the best meal that we have had on Kauai and probably the best meal that we have had in a long time. Everything was fresh, beautiful plated and delicious! We will definitely be recommending this to anyone traveling to this area. We are fans!!
One of our best dinners in Kauai. I was torn after reading the reviews, but so glad we decided to dine here. A beautiful atmosphere. The croquettes were delicious, we also enjoyed the salad special, had the chicken Marsala which was yummy, and the chocolate decadence cake was amazing. Portions were large enough that my husband and I shared. Our server was great, as was all of the other staff. We will definitely go again. Highly recommend.
Our waitress, Jenny, was sweet as sugar cane. The artichoke- 10/10, absolutely perfect. Save the dill sauce and ask for sourdough to dip. The ribs fall off the bone, sauce is not sweet (thank goodness), and the coleslaw was actually good! I don’t even like coleslaw! Onto the fettuccine, best I’ve ever had - my only suggestion is to share because it’s very rich. (Not too rich, just a very well done rich, best to be shared kind of rich.) Thank you, Chef!
This was one of the best restaurant's on the island. Great service, great food, and great people. This is my favorite place on my whole trip.
Just finished a fantastic meal at Table, and jumped online to write a review. Both my wife and I ranked it as our top meal of our trip so far. Wine by the glass options were fun and didn't disappoint, and the atmosphere was great. It wasnt crowded, probably due to not being in the latest guidebook, but it was an Ono for us.
We decided to go to Table At Poipu after seeing it in the Savvy 360 App and magazine. Appetizers, salads, and main entrees did not disappoint us. Our server had great recommendations. The atmosphere was wonderful as we felt not too close to other tables. A very relaxing and non rushed dinner. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent happy hour and dinner. Had the beet salad and macadamia crusted fish and it was Excellent. Our waiter (in the bar area) was amazing as well. Can’t wait to go back.
We had birthday dinner for 2 with another couple last night. The space is lovely open and bright. We were greeted by friendly hostess and Jenny our server. Jenny was so kind, thoughtful and amazing! She took care of us with 10 star service! The food was yummy! All the salads were great! Chick wings, scallops and fettuccine was delish. This is a must go when in Kauai!!! Ty table at poipu!
Awesome experience at this new restaurant in Poipu. Service was excellent and the food was delicious! The entire menu was enticing, but with only two of us, we unfortunately couldn’t have it all! The bacon wrapped scallops were perfectly cooked, Israeli chicken light and flavorful, so much great flavor and texture in the fennel and beet salad and the prawn boil hit the spot! Couldn’t leave without dessert and the mint pies were the perfect ending! We wanted to try so much more and were stoked to see so many great options. We will definitely be back!
We had the bone in pork chop with pineapple/whisky glaze, st louis ribs, and the lilikoi creme brulee. All the dishes were exceptional. Service was prompt and friendly. The drinks were good as well. We had the French 75. One of the better resturants in the area. Worth a stop at least once if you are visiting.
We went to Table two different times during our latest visit. They are working on their liquor license, but you are able to bring in beverages of your choice and they will open wine, or mix cocktails for you. On both visits we found the female staff to be exceptional, from the gracious hostess to the bartender, server with complete and intriguing menu specials. We tried appetizers, salads, entrees and dessert. Everything was well prepared, presented and flavorful. I will definitely return and request a female server to insure yet another perfect evening as on our second visit the male waiter was lack luster at best. However I still feel that this restaurant deserves 5 stars.
This is one of those restaurant's that you come across in places like new york and las vegas that give amazing food and great service. Ordered the french onion soup. Was the perfect classic! The braised beef was a dish I wish I could take home with me. Alas had to go to this place 2 times before I left. Could not get enough of this great food.
What a treat. We took advantage of their prix fixe menu in the bar and had the best meal of our trip. Caught their happy hour drink pricing for our first round which was an added bonus. Our server/bartender Jay was great. So nice to have a bartender who knows what they are doing, makes a great drink and is a good conversationalist. We ate downstairs last night at Scotty B’s and it was such a disappointment especially in the quality of service. If you are going to pay Hawaii prices it is so nice to have excellent service. Can’t say enough. Make sure you have dinner here!
One of our best experiences as visitors on Kauai. Our waitress was on the mark. Experienced, kind and watchful for any way to make our dining enjoyable. The “small plate” options are generous. Where the place across the street had a known chain name, we chose Table and lucked into a gem.
Delicious seafood risotto and best ahi dish— both were specials of the night. We went Thursday night because it is all day happy hour— don’t miss that special. Our server was attentive and very well spoken and made all the specials sound amazing. Wish we had found this restaurant earlier in our vacation— would definitely go back.
Our family of 4 was looking for a fantastic meal in Poipu, Table was the perfect choice. Great menu, fairly priced, appreciated they could accommodate gluten free.
A small menu with truly incredible dishes. The staff was not intrusive. The atmosphere was quiet and welcoming. I really enjoyed my time here.
Table checks all the boxes for a romantic dinner in Poipu. The interior is appointed and quiet, despite its popularity. Service is wonderful. We weren’t particularly hungry, so we started with the Bacon Wrapped Scallops, which were massive and covered in thick bacon. The pairing with candied pecans, apple slices, goat cheese and balsamic made a “small plate” very satisfying. We were hooked on the goat cheese and balsamic, so we finished with a House Salad. Best salad we’ve had during our stay. Excellent wine list with many options by the glass.
A lovely restaurant with delicious inspired food, unfortunately we were there at the height of spring break so one large group with 6 unruly kids put a bit of a damper on the evening for the vast majority of adult diners. Food wise, we enjoyed the truffle croquettes a lot and the whiskey pork chop was tender and luscious. There’s an ok wine list and a variety of specialty cocktails. Our server, whose name I don’t get (on the short side with long pony tail) did a wonderful job despite having a lot of tables .
Service was great. Atmosphere was soothing. Pork chop was legit good and french onion soup delish.
Walked in and were seated immediately. The service top notch and the food was tasty. We had the pork chop and seafood risotto and both were cooked to perfection. Must get the bread basket with different types of butters!
We had great service, atmosphere was wonderful. They were not full tonight. My husband had the barbecue chicken which he loved, I thought it was odd to have a menu item that you had to fully dissect. I had the pasta with pesto, I added chicken. The chicken was dry and tough, for an added 12$. Shrimp was 3$/piece. No liquor license at this time, so BYOB . Great staff!
Very disappointing. We left hotel for better food but did not find it. Onion soup and Prosciutto with goat cheese were too salty. Same dishes at The Bistro in Princeville were much tastier at lower price. Mussels in Paella were rubber. Worst Paella ever. Good lesson not to extend beyond Hawaiian classics. Under staffed.
Very disappointing dinner. The food was only OK. We were a party of 5. I had the short ribs which were fine. We also had the Ahi Tuna which was the blackened fish of the day. But the Paella was rather flavorless. Both the shimp and the mussels were over cooked. The rice was lacking is flavor. The service was overall not up to par. There were waits between when different people got their dishes. The starter dishes were not removed before bringing out the main dish. My biggest gripe though was the CC Fee. They added a credit card fee that was not on the menu anyplace .... only on the receipt. When I asked about it I was told that other restaurants do it. NEVER in 45 years of travel have I seen this. The hostess said that she would mention it to the owner; who was obviously not there. My assumption is that most people will be using credit cards, so this is just a ploy for an added fee. I also did not think the menu was necessary Hawaiian inspired. They have a small wine list with some reasonably priced wines that were good. I think that they have potential but there is room for them to really improve.
Happened upon this place while at the farmers market in the shopping center. After looking at the menu we decided to stop in for dinner. First thing I noticed was at peak dinner hour this place was a ghost town. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, but where were all the people? I wanted to leave but my wife was hungry. Our server, Erica, was great. Very attentive. I ordered the crab crusted halibut with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The fish was WAY overcooked and the asparagus looked like it was cooked the week before and reheated. I asked Erica if I could get my fish redone but she said it is all precooked. At these prices that it OUTRAGEOUS!!! My wife got the braised beef over rice. It was crockpot pot roast. Extremely disappointing. I had to ask Erica for some bread and butter just to fill on for such a crappy meal. She at least filled our water glasses and checked in on us. She was fantastic. Food…… MEH Why is it the management only responds to positive reviews? Why not address the deficiencies? It seems that god or bad, you should address the issues.
Came here for Valentine’s Day, service was slow which is understandable for a holiday, they have a prefix menu and ran out of one of the entrees which is embarrassing considering there were only four choices. The server at the adjacent table offered her table a ribeye which would’ve been a great substitute but our server said that’s not an option because “it’s too crazy back there” in reference to the kitchen. Not good service but okay food you can get much better service and same quality of food for half the price at 6 other restaurants in the area, would not recommend
Was seated quickly here by the nice hostess but the wait staff was very slow. We sat for 20 min without drink orders, waited another 45 min for our dishes to be done. Wasn’t very busy either. Food was okay - I wouldn’t come here again, prices are typical Kauai prices but I’d rather go somewhere that has quicker service and tastier food.
Don’t bother requesting a table with your reservation the hostess will ignore you and place you in floor seating. The menu is VERY limited in a bad way, the flavor combos actually disgust me; the bread isn’t made fresh they’ll give it to you warmed with margarine on the side. NOT recommended for anyone who has a diary or nut allergy!!
Rude hostess and waitress; rude to my child. That’s a big no. Served us burnt spinach dip. Not worth it at all. Hostess snapped at me when I asked how long it would be. Waitress was absolutely the rudest I’ve ever met. Karina, I think? Avoid avoid avoid!!!
I just finished dining at Table 10/20/23, after receiving the bill. Asking about the “CC” charge at the bottom. I received a blanket response, - this is customary. Well after some research, everyone beware. 1. It is not legal to profit off a CC charge. 2. CC charges are not allowed to exceed 3% of the total. 3. Running a debit card is not a CC charge. In essence I just got de-frauded, nice way to pad your P&L. I don’t care about the money per se but I also don’t care to just pay extra. This in my opinion is highly unprofessional, according to Hawaii and national law on CC charges is also ILLEGAL!!!!! I will be filing a complaint with whatever org. Handles such disputes.
Went for happy hour, the bartender explained that Mai Tais were half off. Under the Mai Tai on the menu it said “make it local! +$3”. We did that, and apparently that makes it not half off for happy hour. She did not say anything when we ordered it, which after explaining happy hour you’d think she would. Weird vibes and kind of a bit of attitude all around with everyone we encountered.
Seated near a large boisterous group. Unable to converse with my partner due to noise. Never received appetizer ordered. To make up for it server said she would give dessert free on her. Made a big deal of it. Ordered dessert only 1/2 size portion( birthday portion apparently as listed on bill) was 1/2 size of the normal dessert portion( I know because I ate there a few days prior and ordered same thing) . Paid the bill in cash and didn’t t receive the advertised 4% discount for paying in cash. 4% extra charged if paying by credit card advertised this way. Very disappointing. The food was tasty but hate going home feeling like I’ve been ripped off. Won’t return.
AVOID. AVOID. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The poorly cooked, awful food was so disappointing. What a waste of a vacation night in Hawaii. All the entrées were a disappointment. It’s like they raided a retirement home’s leftovers, recooked (not reheated) and gave them a sad makeover by adding unnecessary extra ingredients. The chicken “Marsala" was Parmesan-covered chicken with gravy made from a packet with a float of Marsala wine. The chicken was overcooked and rubbery, reminiscent of a McDonald’s nugget texture. The asparagus wasn’t trimmed and overcooked until it slumped into a u shaped when held upright. The garlic-bomb lemon aioli with an overpriced, poorly cooked, really bad quality steak was equally bad. Ordered medium rare, served well done, no pink left. While the setting is beautiful, the terrible food, inattentive (but very friendly) service and the gall to charge an undisclosed credit card fee (close to 20% on some items) make this place an absolute skip. If you read these reviews Chef” Gordon, the food was bad enough, but the sneaky, undisclosed credit card fee is truly outrageous and embarrassing for your establishment.
