Such a positive dining experience.... Host and Server (Sharon) friendly and all smiles. Late lunch / early dinner and restaurant was pretty clear of Sunday crowds. Happy hour menu is a bargain and not only filling but fresh, cooked to order Steak burger, fries and onion rings. I'm a happy camper...

We both had the Classic burger. One had the fries and the other had the onion rings. Both sides were good. The burgers were a very pleasant surprise. The beef was cooked perfectly and juicy. The lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles were all fresh and tasty. Tried to finish, but it was just too big. We will be returning.

I was pleasantly surprised that IHOP had not gone down in quality even after the pandemic. My wife and I had a marvelous breakfast. Mine was 2 of a Kind and hers was the french toast break fast. We were both filled and satisfied. That was a good sized tip for our waitress because of her outstanding service.. IHOP should be proud. Good work!

A friend and I went to IHOP about 5:00pm. We both ordered the Tilapia fish, vegetable, salad and fresh fruit. I was more than happy with my meal, it was delicious. Definitely will go back and probably order the same again. Our waitress was very attentive, friendly and helpful. We are happy we went.

what I love about this place is it preserves the way things used to be and what you would expect from a diner as far as service environment atmosphere, the friendly staff, the kind and generous management who are understanding people. It goes a long way, the food has always been fair priced. the breakfasts are amazing and I just love the oldies music. not to mention the crowd that comes to this place from Laverne is very charming. I always engage in such wonderful conversations. exceptional props to Alandra she's always a great charm and fun to engage with. plus she has great service! and a friendly smile! there are a few other gentlemen and ladies there who also go the extra miles from people and it's just all around a bit a great place that's why I give it five stars

1/9/2025 Update: The IHOPPY menu has been discontinued. We really miss those steak burgers. What we were getting for $6 after 3PM, is now $13.59 at IHOP. APPLEBEES has their Classic Bacon Cheeseburger with endless fries for $9.99 all day long, plus they have a bar. The after 3PM Menu is hard to beat. Steakburger is soooo good! The over 55 menu is better than most places. Everything is fresh, hot, and delicious. The servers are always friendly and attentive.

This is by far the best IHOP I've been to as far as I can remember. Got a BYO Omlette and it was the tastiest and best constructed I've ever had. Bacon was cooked perfect, nice amount of cheese and onion, no skimping out. My tea came with lemon without me even having to ask. Waitress was the sweetest thing. Bus boy and another waitress also greeted me warmly. Very friendly vibe, made me feel good. The service and food were great. Floors and tables were spotless, bathrooms clean. This is my first time at this location. I come in from Azusa so it would take me longer to get here. But maybe on Wednesday I'll start being a repeat customer on my time off. Thank you guys for the excellent service! Worth every penny in this economy! God bless. 🙏

Overall I would say this location has been good in my opinion. Sundays​ are crowded in the AM but the staff has been friendly. Through the week IHOP normally has a breakfast special announced on the window. The selection for 55+ seems to have been condensed but I can't say for certain.

Friendly staff. Open for dine-in until 10pm. Tried their new Candied Menu options; it was good as iHop's other selections. Clean place but they did not have any accessible Sanitizers as other iHop locations.

Food and service was great, only complaint would to cook fresh bacon 🥓 the bacon we received seemed old and soggy. Dine in experience is great and staff are friendly and helpful.

The food was good. The young lady that waited on us was wonderful. However, they were having some plumbing issues and there was a bad odor at the entrance and opposite side of restaurant. Our side was not smelly.

Service is nice but a bit slow. It's a bummer that gluten free options cannot be substituted on the specials.

IHOP is pretty much the same wherever you go, I like it for pancakes and decent service. It was a little crowded, but the wait was less than 10 minutes. Clean table and they served the food fairly quickly.

Erik is the best waiter at the La Verne location. And my strawberry creme crepe breakfast was the BEST EVER!!! I don't know what the bill was. My parents paid for my birthday breakfast.

Food was good as expected. Our waitress brought our food, check in once and then ignored us. However there was another waiter , big guy with glasses, who actually checked on us several times and helped us. He was awesome.

The food was good, except the gravy tastes like water and flour with pepper in it (which is the ingredients of gravy but not how it's supposed to taste). The bathroom smelled and was a little busted up but clean. The service was good.

Due to the National labor shortage, this place’s service has been put into a real tough spot. I really do appreciate the service tho. Those servers are very kind and are always very willing to be helpful when they do come to the table. I haven’t noticed a drop in the quality. One weird thing though, they are always playing Christian music in the mornings and there’s never any variety. Not a complaint, just an observation.

I liked what I ordered. But not too happy about the silverware. Had food residue on it. I asked our friendly waitress for another set and again, two of the 3 were bad. So I polished thee spoon and selected the other 2 that were cleaner. Oh by the way, bacon had a bad plastic after taste.

Service was a little slow but I noticed there was only one person serving so he was very busy doing the best he could. He also had a positive attitude. Great, 5 star for 6$ a meal.

Very friendly and understanding. Has no problem making sure I had everything I needed including an extra hot water to go and cream for my coffee water refills just really good service and very friendly also some cute girls here! There is a night shift closer with glasses who is soft spoken I could see myself giving her a kid too! She's amazing 😍 it's too bad I am dedicated to fire and am only trying to raise I couple of dogs. If I wasn't so harmed by one girl I'd trust someone else but it's not going to happen now. Am very happy I went here anyway will be back again!

Its a quiet atmosphere to dine with friends or family or both.. when not busy they are fast service. They can be friendly most the time. Some people like comming here others don't. The pancakes can fill you up fast! I give 3-4 stars! #googleguide

I had the salmon dinner which was pretty good but they didn't even have any tartar sauce! They should either have some ready-made or learn how to make some.

They are having a special for king Hawaiian bread, I'm not really a fan of that bread but you can choose between 3 flavors for 9.99. I'm not sure how much longer the special will last. I do like the fact that they have French vanilla creamers because norms and a few other place only have half n half. They have a fit meal with egg whites, Turkey bacon, fruit cup and your choice of bread for 9.95. Other then breakfast I feel like they dont focus on other meals. Good customer service, clean and cost is decent. Several choices of syrup as well.

We had the weekday breakfast special. Food was good, although we waited almost 30 minutes in a empty restaurant. The server was great! Pancake syrup is just corn syrup. My 3-star rating is based on just average food and below average wait time. Hey it's ihop, can't expect that much better.

Their strength is the variety of good pancakes. Currently they have a special where you can choose anyone of about 10 items and receive all you can eat pancakes with that selection. Their food is generally okay. But I thought off and find anything that I would call outstanding. It's always good to start by checking their specialty pancakes which usually last about a month or so.

A little disappointed. Under staffed, thus services slow. Refills on your drinks, slow and none if not having to ask. The food was good, but the specialty pancakes were given with about half of filling and topping, making them very dry.

IHOP's french toast is very good. BUT, it's a huge disappointment that they no longer have boysenberry syrup (at any IHOP location). Remember when they used to have a variety of syrups available on the tables, and even a few more by request? No more. It's too bad. I guess I'll be eating there less often.

The service was excellent. However, was annoyed that we were charged for an "adult" and child size orange juice and these were served on the same size glasses! Check your receipt before leaving.

The food was good, but the place itself is looking pretty shabby. They had about three people in the front that were looking lost and didn't know what was going. Two were more interested in their phones instead of sitting the customers. The waitress we had had to go and help seat the customers. Why even have those two wasting ihop's time and money. My husband went to use the restroom and he said it was a disaster! Time to step it up IHop!

Ok, it's obviously popular, and the food is good. But I nearly keeled over from the bathroom smell. Like an open pipe directly in the sewer is released into the bathrooms. Both the men and the women's restrooms.

My order came missing the other plate to it. Ate my French toast and had to wait on my eggs and other stuff. My husband had to ask for a different plate of his pancakes as they came out way to ruff. Kids ate everything well. Coffee was good. For the amount I spent (over 100) I didn't really appreciate Messing up my order.

This place was clean and they thoroughly clean quickly after each customer is done. The service was quick but the waitress tried to rush me even though there wasn't any other customers at the time and she said I could originally take my time. Waiting for my car was the only reason why I ate here but next time I'll just stay over at the Starbucks.

I had not been to an Ihop restaurant in got to be 15 years. We went for breakfast. I got a seniors menu item called 2x2x2. 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes. $10.49. They wanted $4.95 for a soda. I just can't do that much. So I ordered water. The food was OK. I live in the Las Vegas area. So that's high price for a breakfast in my neck of the woods. But. It's CA, so you know everything costs more. What i was very surprised at. Was how big the menu got. It will probably be another 15 years before I would go to another Ihop. But I would keep it in mind if it was convenient. They need to advertise better. Prices seem a tad high to me. Like that $5 soda. That kind of stuff just turns me off to places

We went to IHOP for a nice Saturday breakfast. However, we were a bit disappointed. The orange juice is now watery in this new machine that they just got. The avocado they served us in a sitter skillet was as had as a rock. The center of the waffle we received was a bit gooey. The waitress had to much to do and we were ignored. I had to get things we needed from two other servers. In all, a disappointing meal. Head down the street to Mr. D's, a much better breakfast experience in La Verne.

Had really bad service. Coffee cup for my friend was filled 1/3 of the cup and towered with way too much whipped cream. Pancakes weren't fully cooked and butter was really hard. Would not recommend eating here.

Lousy service. Waited more than 12 minutes til someone acknowledged we were sitting there, then anither10 minutes for coffee & water. Lastly we stood in front lobby area for someone to take cash for Our bill, & the to hostess had to chase down a waitress to do that. Who made that stupid idea. Girl tryed to seat me and my mom in a dirty booth that had tear marks all over the seats covered in some sort of duck tape. I was upset the fact their was other cleaner boths and the way she threw our silverware like as if we were nothing/trash. walked out went down the street to Mr. D’s

I ordered a side of hash [email protected] no problem w/my omelette but did not know it was in the omelette, so when I mentioned it to my waitress she just said "oh yeah it is" and walked away(mind you there were only 1 other table in the entire restaurant)she simply could have said it is in the omelette when I ordered or when I mentioned it just say do I still want it or may I take it away & I won't charge you for it(now I know what you're thinking was it printed on the menu?) I don't know but she could have paid more attention to detail, just saying, been in da bizz over 30 yrs. she still got 20+% what I typically tip anyway, food was good & she was nice.

Normally I enjoy eating here with my family. The service is great the food taste good. Unfortunately this time when I got a refill there was lipstick on my glass. Disgusting. I notified the waitress. she apologized then brought me another glass and a new straw. Makes me question how well they are cleaning the plates and glasses. I didnt make a fuss cause it wasn't a huge deal but would of been nice if they would of taken the soda off the bill.

This description is to share the extremely bad experience we had, my wife and my self went to this location. The dirty conditions noticed outside the building, at the entrance the odor was really bad, I saw a white pair of socks just like someone sleep over night. The interior of the restaurant under poor sanitary conditions, the area were seated was bad, the plastic window separated from other table was dirty, we're able to see old food and ketchup on frame work. Around our table majority of the couches very damaged and repaired with duct tape very unprofessional. The utensils were dirty with food from previous customers, they changed the utensils three times due to the facts on all occasions were dirty. The person in charge of cleaning the table was using the same towel cleaning the seats and the tables, this practice unsanitary conditions there is none comment sense to protect the integrity of the consumers. Never the least the waitress was using her hands to clean the table and seats not having any cleaning procedure to do the right thing or safe practice for the food.

Just visited today for breakfast with my wife. We sat at a table they had just wiped down. We noticed a few small flying bugs at our table. We asked to move and we were. Server notified the manager but no apology for the bugs, nothing. Food was salty, just over not a great experience.

Checked out there online menu before going chose the meal I wanted, grilled tilapia. When I got there it is no longer on their menu so had to choose a higher priced item. I was there between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. the dinner hour and there were only three tables of customers. I really should have just left as they didn't have what I originally went for and I had to settle. You do get two sides with a meal but the presentation was very lacking and I had to ask for a piece of bread to go with the meal which was half cold instead of all grilled. There are better places to go to now, IHOP has really slipped.

The only time this place is good is when you dine in. Don't get me wrong the food is good ordering too but tonight kinda set me off. They missing so much of my order I ordered on doordash I called to resolve the issue maybe remake it or something and talk to a manager but the person who reply to the phone didn't seem to have a resolution to my problem.There is no way there is not a lead or a manager THERE IS ALWAYS A MANAGER OR SOME ONE IN CHARGE. They say there was not. We didn't get the correct pancakes and we ordered certain other things that where not correct and or given to us. There missing things but what we did get... Was really yummy. Cooked well and nice and warm up son delivery. I usually have good service for the most part but they haven't been doing well customer service wise for a while now. So I try to not go here as often as we like due to that. But when we crave this place we want our order right. I'm not rich so some times we spending the last of our money to enjoy a meal that some one prepared for us because I'm too stressed or tired to cook. I hate to give them low stars but let's get it together please. We will give them a try again in the future. Hope it goes well then

I've always heard good things about dining at IHOP, but this place doesn't live even close to them. My pancakes were served on a place that they barely fit on, the food was cold, the butter was very hard and the toast was overly buttered. I wouldn't recommend eating here, not matter how much you may love pancakes. My pancakes seemed to he halfway cooked and very soggy, even though the butter was on top of them and very hard.

This place is so blah. We were served dirty glasses. It was sweaty hot inside. We got one menu for two of us to share...maybe they are low on menus? She kept asking if we were ready to order but we haven't even looked at the menu yet bc we have one lol. We won't be coming back here. The food is definitely not worth the price.

I've just walked out of this restaurant, I went to the restroom to wash my hands and OMG, it smelled pretty bad, you people need to fix the plumbing, it smells like sewer and poop,and the table they gave us is kinda close to the restroom, I couldn't take it and just walked out,floors are dirty, trashcans full of trash,sorry but that's not the IHOP I knew a few years ago....

Wow the food here is just horrendous. Everything tastes like it's old and microwaved with preservatives. Even the pancakes tasted off. Server didn't care to ask as to why my food was left uneaten. I have to admit, second year into the pandemic and IHOP food in general has just deteriorated to the level of Denny's. Quite sad.

I’ve always came to this ihop .. yrs !!! And for some reason it is not the same anymore.. sadly the good waitresses that were here .. are no longer here !! The attention , and the new Mangers is obviously not the same anymore!!! I was wondering why it wasn’t a full house.. when we came in for breakfast at 10:40am .. when this should be out the door packed !! When I asked to speak to the Manager.. he didn’t show up until 10 minutes later , mind you , he didn’t even introduce himself as a manager until I asked if I could speak to a manager !! He said “ I’m the manager “ okaaaay 🙄 .. they sent him to bring out our plates that were missing !!! NEVER WILL RETURN TO THIS IHOP LOCATION !!! Take care of your costumer’s from now on !!

We were told 30 minte wait for an 8 people party. After waiting 30 minutes we asked how much longer and they told us they didn't have seating to accommodate 8 people. Host sat multiple parties that arrived after us.

Horrible! I ordered online and was told a certain time, when my husband went to get it he was told they didn’t receive the order and that he had to wait. My husband was unable to wait and was advise to cancel the order online, when I tried I was unable to as there is no place to do so on their website. I called every day for a week, no answer. Called multiple times in the course of the a month(we have a business and truly no time to go to the store), no answer. Sent emails and called the corporate office, no one got back to me. Decided to call again and finally got a hold of them only to be told I was basically lying.. that’s when I decided to go and speak to the same manager that told me I was basically lying(the son of the owner). When i got there I showed him the emails and my receipt, and was told he would be in contact and make sure we received our refund... to this day NOTHING. Extremely horrible service and management. iHop lost a customer.

STAY AWAY The server was super rude, and the air conditioning was not working at all. And the server was laughing on other clients and very poor service. Will never come here in my life and will tell all my friends to avoid this horrible place.

The service and dining in is great but I ordered a curbside pick up, not so bueno. My chicken strips are burnt, the fries are cold, and I didn't get 5 strips. Super mad.

Came here for Mother’s Day breakfast just to get bad service. Got on the waiting list, waited for 30 minutes while everyone got seated, my child was really hungry, hosts were just staring at us, didn’t bother to ask if we got helped and when we asked they said they called for us 20 minutes ago, none of us heard our name being called and one of the hostess was being unnecessarily passive aggressive when seating us. Do better.

Today is sep. 21/22 I ordered chicken and waffles. As I am waiting for my order to come up. I notice on my table it wasn't clean. I asked a waitress to clean it. My food arrived. And the chicken was overcooked. And the waffles were cold. Cold to the point where it wouldn't even melt butter. You know like I do, If you send the food back good chances of the chef will leave something special on it. Plus I was rushed for time. When I inform the waitress. She gave me an excuse that the chicken takes longer so it sat there. And I stated, why didn't the chef cook the waffles last? This IHOP in La Verne, is going downhill fast. Bathrooms look and smell horrible. And now the food is showing that the owners of this IHOP don't care anymore. Buyer beware.

Absolutely horrible. I've popped into this location for years. It's obvious this is under new management and ownership, but not for the better. I will usually go in on Sundays when I'm in the area. The servers were running around trying to keep up (I know it's not their fault) and it was easy to see they were stressed out. In the past this place ran smoothly. Again, I've only gone here on Sundays, and have been served by almost everyone there at some point. I don't see some of the regular guys and gals that used to be there anymore. As I mentioned before in other reviews, I've been in food service since 1999, and have experience in working in restaurants. They're running a skeleton crew on Sundays now at this location. I understand it's important to cut the cost here and there, but what this place is doing is insulting to the customers that have gotten used to the fast and friendly service this location once had. I blame management, and if they had any sense, they'd realize they're running this place into the ground.

This is so sad. Only two waiters for the whole restaurant. Got here on a Tuesday 10:30 am. Few busy tables but I took 10 minutes to be seated. They rushed us two times asking our order but we weren’t ready yet, then nobody came back to ask for our orders despite raising our hands a couple of times but nothing. We decided to leave because we felt just ignored. Instruct your staff to at least explain customers that they’re short staffed. 30 minutes lost. So sad.

To our table. Walk in and go to your far left*. That table has bugs and they have a tiny hole in the wall where they live. Waitress moved us to a table right next to the bathroom. Smell like dangerous diarrhea! But what ever I was hungry. Blocked the smell and still ate my food. I dont even know why I even did that. No manger came to us and apologized. No discount. Waitress walks away leave us her tablet to pay. Expect a tip. I won't come back here ever. Btw. Waitress was really nice. But dlwas not happy with the service. There's tiny black bugs. Dirty carpet. HAIR IN MY FOOD !!! Went there a week ago, noticed how dirty the dinning area was. Fingerprints and smudge markings on plastic partitions, carpet is extremely dirty, workers uniforms were dirty BUT.. what sealed the deal for me was, while eating my delicious pancakes, I found HAIR IN MY FOOD!! See the attached pictures. I'm actively working with IHOP Headquarters. The manger needs to make their employees wear hairnets .. They are touching our food. This is disgusting.
