dPot at The Source is a popular spot for Korean hot pot and KBBQ, known for its fresh ingredients, variety, and excellent service. Customers rave about the all-you-can-eat options, especially the steam stackers and diverse broths. Some find the spicy tonkotsu broth too sweet.
Tip: Come during lunch for reasonable prices and try the lunch special. The restaurant can be cold, so bring a jacket.
Great experience here at the DPot! So many broths to choose from (I got the Thai broth). Fresh veggies, good meat quality and excellent sides and sauces! Nice place to dine and walk off your meal by checking out the Source mall.
It was 3:30 pm and just stepped out of the gym so we decided to look for a Korean Restaurant. We proceeded to the Source on Orangethorpe and Beach and found this Korean AYCE serving a combination of Shabu Shabu and BBQ. Our server Johnathan welcomed us in and explained everything on the menu. Our orders came fast first the broth, the Shabu meats and last came the Steam Stacker and a big wow on the service! Ambience was excellent there’s noice but we can hear each other due to each table had clear wall dividers. The exhaust was great as there were no BBQ smoke inside. We will be coming back here with our two sons I’m pretty sure they will enjoy it!
Just saw that this place became AYCE awhile back and had to come here to try it out. It’s your AYCE shabu shabu witha self-serve sauce bar and unique steam stacker for meats. It has plenty of seating compared to it’s Irvine counterpart. Love the design of the restaurant, practical yet elegant. I ordered from their A list Menu, as I only wanted Shabu Shabu. I loved the Galbi-Eye steam stacker and as for Shabu Shabu, I got the Spicy Tonkotsu and the brisket. It was pretty cool to see there ramen bar setup. The staff was friendly and the waiter kept checking in on us to see if we needed more meat or anything else, I greatly appreciated that. I will definitely be back here.
Got the hot pot experience at this place. Ordered the spicy thai soup really good place to eat. Wagyu meat and Galbi-eye is the best meat served here. Chicken Karage is a good side dish. Would definitely come back.
Super great price for all you can eat hot pot! They now offer instant noodles as well! They have much more soup choices than the Irvine branch. Brother flavors are really good as well! Stacker is steamed on spot instead. Lots of seafood and vegetable options!
🔥 Dpot Hot Pot at The Source is straight-up fire. Came in just after 5, no wait, seated quick. Tonkatsu broth + spicy yukgaejang = flavor heaven. Meat? Top quality. Sauce? Perfect. That meat steamer wrap with rice paper? Total game-changer. So many sides and apps too. Service was on point. And if you’re still hungry, cook up some Korean ramen to finish it right. All-you-can-eat done right 👑💯
Definitely must try if you are in Buena Park. Decently priced for the quality of food. Lunch special prices are reasonable so thats a great time to come and try! Salad bar for veggies, tofu, and other condiments. You can ask for more broth as needed. Complimentary dessert is a plus. Our lunch lasted almost 2 hours and we left very satisfied. Clean condition and great customer service. I'm bringing my family here next time.
Excellent Shabu Shabu Experience with Great Variety! Dpot in Buena Park has recently upgraded their ordering system to offer unlimited veggie and meat shabu shabu, along with a variety of noodle options. They even have seafood selection! The service is excellent, and I highly, highly recommend this place for a delightful dining experience.
Great hot pot place in the area. Came here last night with family when they opened at 5pm dinner service. All staffs are wearing face masks and gloves. They take temperature checks before entering the area and not buffet style like before. The server will bring you the ingredients on the multi-tiered platter. So good in this chilly weather!
Small but very nice outdoor setup! Clean, well cared Korean hot pot restaurant. Staff takes covid protocols seriously her - which is a good thing! Came here for lunch and food was great. Nice cuts of meat and veggies. Some soju and beer goes nicely with hot pot. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We completely enjoyed our meal from beginning to end. Some shabu shabu restaurants can be super hot because of the steam but the AC worked great in the restaurant. The waiters were friendly and helpful with lots of suggestions and the food was oh so good! The Tai sauce and sesame sauce were fantastic with great flavor, and we really liked the variety of mushrooms they offered. The shopping center is lovely and was another treat as we really appreciated the outdoor space and architectural design of the center. Do yourself a favor and go visit dPot All You Can Eat Shabu Shabu - you'll enjoy your food and your experience. #WestcliffYvonne
This place is so good. The vegetables and the meat between the seafood is so fresh. Service is excellent the place is very clean. Parking is plentiful in the parking structure. This is my second time here and definitely I would come here the third time as soon as I can. Please bring a coat or jacket because it's cold in the restaurant.

Good food. Good portion. Good service.
This is our second time in d-Pot with our wonderful waitress Tiffany. She’s amazing and kind. So attentive! We will be back soon tif! Have fun on your voyage!
Great service. Chuck eye is the cheapest meat but still great quality I usually have to get extra meat but the veggies are refillable once so take advantage of it.
I accidentally knocked my meat/veggie tray off the table, and they brought me extra meat free of charge. definitely recommend, also ask for extra rice at the end of your meal to make some porridge to go!
Very friendly service and fresh food, meat and vegetables. Choice for source among several tasty selections. New and clean tables and plates. Very good end enjoyable.
I love everything; my family and I always drive 1 hour to eat
Wow this place is amazing Johnathans service was spectacular and the rest of the staff was attentive on what we needed and when we needed it I will be coming here more often.
Have never had a pot meal before, so other than me stumbling thru what to do it was very good.
Very clean and nice place, food was delicious and very fresh. Very good service.
Love it wish had more tofu for hot pot but had veggies unlimited
Come here for lunch. Great deal and good quality food.
Very delicious. Wish all the outside seating had chairs with backs.
Unlimited salad bar and the meat quality is good.
I would go there again if I get the chance
Both seafood and meat were very fresh and tasty.
Just try and enjoy the experience. Price is just right.
Good food, very clean setup, and nice staff
Good shabu Korean style will come back more
It’s always a choice I never regret! Delicious food at a reasonable price, with a clean and lively atmosphere. The staff are also very friendly. I highly recommend not only the shabu-shabu but also the dumplings and enjoying the salad bar.
The manager was a great guy! Best Hot Pot I’ve ever had! Will definitely be coming again!
Soup options are very spicy. More popular with koreans. If they want other customers than koreans have more milder soups. Good quality and clean.
Best place to go eat Hot Pot HANDS DOWN! You’re not gonna find a place like this. The service is outstanding and friendly faces.
Great place to eat. The food is good and fresh. You get different types of vegetables. I love the variety of mushrooms you receive. My family and I love going there. Also, lots of free parking is available.
Visited dPot for the first time a few days ago and we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived at around 5pm and you join the waitlist using the ipad they have placed by the door. Once the table is ready, they send you a text message and call you to notify you. Their menu selection is great, on one side of the menu, they have the shabu shabu selection (select the meat, type of broth and type of noodle). I picked lamb with their beef-based broth and fresh ramen. The veggies, noodles and meat are served in a tower (similar to the tower display at afternoon tea places). On the other side of the menu, they have their steamers, korean soups and shareable appetizers. My sister and husband picked the steamers, which is something we have never seen at any other restaurant. The meat for the steamer is served in a bamboo box, which is placed on your individual burner; the staff leaves a timer to make sure that the meat is cooked to perfection; along with the meat, the steamer also comes with porridge, steamed rice, udon noodles and salad. They were very happy with their dish. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back to try their other dishes.
Ordered takeout. The food was excellent. Wrapped perfectly so it was nice and warm when we got home. Very delicious sauces. We got Bulgogi mushroom dumpling hot pot. So glad this has opened in the neighborhood! Can’t wait to be able to dine in!
Visited during lunch hours and it's only $14 a person! You can choose the type of meat, soup base, and noodles. We ordered beef (US Prime Top Blade), Galbi Tang Soup, and Ramen noodles. Vegetables are unlimited and extremely fresh (definitely more fresh than Shabuya). Service was excellent as they have a good number of servers available, even during lunch hours. Owner came out to greet our table and was very friendly! Definitely recommend this place!
Great hot pot spot. The "d" in dPot must stand for Delicious. Excellent addition to Buena Park. Excellent choice of meats. The veggie and noodle bar is great. You can't leave this place not stuffed. I can easily eat here once a week.
dPot has consistently provided friendly, clean, high-quality service and food since its opening! They take all the precautions for COVID without compromising quality. My only regret is that I keep forgetting to take photos - because I'm too busy eating their good food!
Dpot in Buena Park is an amazing spot for a family celebration! The tiered menus are such a great deal — you can enjoy all-you-can-eat ramen, steam stackers, KBBQ, and shabu all in one place. The meats were incredibly fresh, tender, and full of flavor, and you can really taste the quality with every bite. The steam stackers and broths were seasoned perfectly, and the variety makes it easy for everyone to find something they love. With so many options and such delicious food, this is definitely one of the best places to celebrate with family and friends.
dPot is our new fav shabu/kbbq place bc they have pretty much EVERYTHING you can think of! The steamed dumplings are all good and we love that you can even make your own spring rolls and ramen! And to top it off, despite the insane variety, the quality does not differ- it’s ALL good! The staff here is SO friendly and helpful (and they didn’t judge our spring roll wrapping skills at all 😂🤍). Just do yourself a favor and order a bit of everything!
My family's experience here last night was great. Some people say the service here is not good - I don't know why. We thought the service was quite good. Jonathan was very helpful in explaining everything and making good suggestions in choosing the right meats, vegetables, and sauce for either thr steamer. The steamer option is also very unique and adds such a great addition to the shabu. The quality of all ingredients were good.
Excellent for lunch or dinner. Reminder that it’s self serve & all you can eat vegetables, which isn’t always obvious. Select your broth, meat and noodles. Also, can add rice to make jook w remaining broth/vegetable at end of course. End with green tea ice cream to finish your meal. Enjoy. 😋😋😋
Excellent service 👏 and good quality of meat. Like the buffet of veggies and the sauces. Can't go wrong with the ponzu. The beef broth was savory and matched well with the different cuts of beef. The steaming of meat is a great concept, especially for those who are conscious of avoiding grilled meat. Very busy with lively atmosphere. Great ayce Shabu place.
Great shabu shabu AYCE place with quality meats and choices. I like their steamed options as well. There are plenty of veggie and noodle options as well. The sauce station is well stocked, too. Everything tasted really good. The servers were busy but quick to bring things when you asked. They were friendly as well.
This is officially my new favorite shabu place. It has such a fun and cool vibe, and the food and service were excellent. So good that I came here twice in one week. Not only is it all you can eat, but they offer side dishes like crispy pork and chicken karaage on the side.

great price for hot pot and steamer. unique that steamer is included and the server puts a timer for when it is ready. good selection for noodles, veggies and protein. clean and service was nice. my only thing is my stove kept turning off.
good quality of meat, many choices for hotpot base, shabu is nice and steam beef also sounds interesting.
Good spot to have shabu and steamed meat, the seafood bar was great and fresh; I actually loved the seafood bar more than the meat. Service was great as well. My only complain is that the meat got thinner as we went and I don’t like my broth, which was spicy tonkotsu (tasted a little sweet to me).

I like dPot it's clean inside the vegetable bar where there's a long of traffic of people getting all you eat veggies and noodles. The prices are not too bad and the meat selection for the shabu is good.
Great service, vegetables, noodles, and lots of meat to eat.
Reasonable lunch price, convenient parking.
First time here and it was pretty good! The red soup was delicious! I always like a little spicy broth so it was perfect! I tried the chicken and my husband had the pork belly. I enjoyed the veggies and the noodles they had, and my husband loved all the varieties of mushrooms. Overall it was a good experience and we had good food. The service was very good they answered all my questions and we're nice and very helpful. My 9 yr old loved the noodles and so did my 2 yr old =)
I came here a while back ago when they had the open buffet inside which is why I liked it so much. I wasn’t a fan this time around. The red soup base was too salty and it was a little pricey compared to what you get. I do like the porridge at the end though and the guy who helped us was great.
It’s one of my favorite places! I really enjoyed shabushabu with vegetables. I been there many times and this time we ordered Pork Belly Kimchi Korean Pancake but is was not crunch and was not that good as I expected. But everything was delicious other than that. :D
My favorite restaurant @ the source. Beware of how busy it is for lunch time. They have unlimited veggies, and many mid aged women goes there to talk and have a good time. I prefer the yukgaejang sauce, with kalgooksoo noodle. They also serve ice cream after.
SPICY THAI, LAMB, KALBI EYE, POTATO SUJEBI (SAUCE: PONZU, GOMA) SOUP TASTES KINDA LIKE GOCHUJANG BUT A LITTLE SOUR?? O.O HAD 1 FISH CAKE WAS YUM AND NICE TOFU STICKS, VEGGIES ALL GOOD, SUJEBI SO SOFT AND SQUISHY BUT "MELTS" FAST. LAMB AND KALBI EYE TASTE IS KINDA SIMILAR??? BUT LAMB IS STRONGER AND SMELLS MORE GAMEY. THE KALBI EYE IS SOFTER. PONZU > GOMA.
Pricy, small amounts of food. Its ok
It was alright. Really pricey for what you get, lots of vegetables, lots of upcharges for seafood and typical hotpot staples. Maybe I’m just too familiar with all-you-can-eat hotpot.
If you are vegetarian, this is best place (Unlimited veges). If you are the meat lover, the place is not a good place.
A very yum yum place! Except they don't close at the time it says they close. They stop taking in customers an hour or hour an a half before they actually close! That's my only complaint 🙄
not that... deep flavor. Its more for people who like mild soup.
This is my 2nd visit, possibly my last. I brought 3 other people with me and got the same server. She's definitely more concerned with what she can charge you for than her service. If you're a small eater and share with another, you will be charged for anything extra, totally fine. If you have your own pot, you're not supposed to be charged for more broth, but she didn't uphold that. Overall the service was lacking, we looked for help several times & its mid day on Saturday, the place wasn't half full. If I'm cooking, I expect better service. You pay for the experience and it wasn't good enough to want to return. The food earned the most stars because the protein portion is a good size, but it costs $30 per person. I may try other hot pot places & recreate my own at home.
This is practically the only decent shabu place located in Anaheim. However, the Price is relatively high for the amount of food that they gave you. The lunch portion is $15, and you only get a small portion of noodle and dipping sauce. You do get any this vegetables. They offer endless vegetables at other shabu place as well. The meat is standard and nothing special. Would I go here again, Probably not. However a friend feels like trying it out, I would definitely go with them. However I would probably save the time and the money and just go to Mokkoji in Irvine
Like the place but inconsistent/rude staff. Turned away 1hr20+ from posted closing hours. Guess they just wanted to go home early
This looks great on menus, but one of us who is vegeterian. He had to pay for all-you-can-eat menu without steam shabu meats. So he wasted a partial cost that benefits meat eaters, not vegeternian. thats why we leave the two stars for not accommodating vegeternians.
They are not discounted on vegetarian options. That is unfair because they required me to choose 3 only, but I chose Thai liquid only, and I can’t other two choice because I can’t eat meat. They are still high price. I paid $48 without meat. Can you imagine?
It’s Sunday, post lunch rush hour and they have one single waiter taking orders, two dudes cleaning/bringing out food. Nobody is taking orders for meat-we have no broth left…no one has even offered more water or to take our order again. Severely under staffed, will be going to other location instead from here on out. I hate to include this jab in as well but 70% of the costumers are elderly and eating at a slow pace, y’all just really need more staff. (Not to mention it’s normal to charge dinner price all day for hot pot/kbbq come weekends and their veg choice is extremely mediocre in variety. Wouldn’t recommend, plenty of better spots.
Service was poor. Our broth ran out and it was a struggle to get more. When you need broth to cook your food and don’t have any, that’s an issue. The food tasted, when we were able to cook it, but not worth the effort. Our server was lackluster, poorly explaining the process. Not recommended. There are better options.
Broths has no flavor at all my son couldn't keep it down. What a waste of $200 for 4 of us.
It's been awhile since I wrote a review. And I hate the fact that I'm writing due to terrible service. I've been waiting here for party of 2 of some time now they've been sitting people behind us in waiting list. When I confront the server, she said it was for rsvp. I told her I thought there was no rsvp allowed in this place and she says they are people relating to the owner of this restaurant. Any excuse would of been more acceptable except than the one she gave. I don't care for the restaurant that breaks their own rule and make regular paying customers feel this way.
Came here on a sunday, they kicked us out because we brought to-go food for my 3yo daughter. We were really excited to try out their food. Customer service blows here.
I will not come to this buffet again. The service is very bad. You have to wait for a long time for the food. You can only order three plates of meat each time, and then the waiter will notify you when 90 minutes have passed
Came in at 9:20 told me no, no longer serving cause they close at 10pm but online it says 11pm.
Do not eat here.changed everything about the menu.
They list their hours as until 10pm, but do last call almost an hour before. Just say you’re open until 9 then.
Came in today at 2:20pm because the menu states they close at 3 and reopens at 5. We were told they were closed and could not serve us. I mean we eat very quickly and would’ve been out by 3. We will never come back to this place now. It’s a shame because their food is pretty good
I am very disappointed to what time the place has done to itself... I haven't been here in a good while due to an injury I had, I can't walk every well, now I see it's self sever and I have to get up and get the stuff myself. They removed all the noodles they use to have like rice noodles ect. They only have just ramen. They charge way more for less flavorful broth, I always get the red, now it's just tastes like water with red coloring. Me and my fiance use to spend only $30 to $50 cuz sometimes we share, I can't always finish a whole bowl myself, now it's $80!!! And we CANT SHARE OR EVEN TAKE IT HOME!! Never coimg here again 👎🏼 and you even get LESS meat then before and have to wait 30 mins for the server to bring more meat it's so annoying!! Bring back the 3 tier trays with meat n veggies!! I left my old review at the bottom to see how much it has changed
I had the worst restaurant experience ever at this place! The server was incredibly rude, yelling at us and displaying an awful attitude throughout the entire time. After being treated so poorly, we decided not to eat anything, but to our shock, they still insisted on charging us over $150 for food we didn’t even touch. The level of disrespect was unbelievable, and it completely ruined the experience. I will never be coming back to this restaurant again and would not recommend it to anyone.
I had a weird experience on Saturday with my family. We get to the restaurant and the waiter instructs us only vegetables are all you can eat. After finishing our portion, we order more meat and veggies and the manager informs us that the waiter is new and made a mistake by telling us veggies are all you can eat ; it's actually $7 for both plates (new menu also states veggies are all you can eat). We take his word for it and order the veggies and meat anyway and get one of the veggie plates and meat right away and 10 min later the manager tells me they're busy but insures us that we will get our plate soon; another 10 minutes goes by and the manager shows up again and tells me that the other plate will cost an extra $2. Now I just feel like they're nickle and diming me, so I tell him that's bs and finished my meal and left 0 tip for the first time in my life.
Disappointing: I had been wanting to go try a hot pot place and we were nearby and decided to stop here. It was our first time trying a place like this and we were asking for help, it was pretty straight forward but as a vegetarian I chose the non meat option and was going for a spicy pork broth which I am ok with but the waiter suggested the veggie broth and I reluctantly agreed, my boyfriend had meat with spicy pork broth. I am pretty sure I added the dipping sauces to my broth and it still only tasted like water when I asked if I should be adding something else they said that what I had added was fine and that it tasted like water because it was just veggies, but my boyfriend’s spicy pork broth tasted only like spicy water. I ended up not eating most of it and unsatisfied we drove to the nearest in-n-out. Maybe it’s just not our type of food but definitely deterred us from trying any other hot pot again at least for a whiiile.
The service was horrible! The server we got was impolite, and told us to pay for stuff we didn’t even eat. And it wasn’t something small either, we paid for 4 pots! The service was so bad, we ended up leaving without eating a thing.
⭐ If I could give zero stars for service, I would. One of the servers — wearing a name tag that says K — has the worst attitude I’ve ever seen in any restaurant. I’ve been a regular customer here from time to time, but after today, I don’t even want to walk past this place again. I honestly don’t understand how someone like that is still employed. I’m writing this review not out of spite, but to warn others — no one deserves to be treated that way. The fact that management keeps someone like this makes me seriously question their sense of professionalism and leadership.
If you are the type to eat out a lot yeah this place is not it. Yes the concept of grill and hot pot is good but I guess their meats for the grill was not as many selections and their hot pot broth was good but again I think is their cut of meats was just not it. And is pricey for what it is if I have the choice for Korean bbq it would be mister BBQ or Chubby Cattle( even if is a little bit more) because this was a lot and not worth it.
Food was nasty compared to all the other hot pot spot. Beef and thai broth was super tasteless. Spent almost $200 for a tasteless dinner . We only ate 1 round and gave up on it.
