Opiniones de Piatti Laguna Beach
Love this place. Really great food and service. Patio atmosphere was very enjoyable with fountain sounds and music. Our server, Juan Carlos, was super friendly and very helpful with recommendations. We loved eggplant parmezan, fungi pizza (incredible), and grilled octopus (one of the best ones i ever had). We will be back!!!
Piatti is an absolute standout, and I honestly wish I could give them six out of five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This restaurant delivers an experience that goes far beyond a typical Italian meal, and it deserves every bit of praise. From the moment you walk in, it feels like a place you immediately want to recommend to everyone you know. The space itself is incredibly charming. The design is thoughtful, warm, and aesthetically beautiful without feeling overdone. Every detail, from the lighting to the décor, creates an atmosphere that is both inviting and memorable. It’s the kind of restaurant where you instantly feel comfortable, yet still excited to be there. Happy hour at Piatti is another huge win. The pricing is fantastic, especially considering the quality of the food. The fries were exceptional—perfectly crisp and full of flavor. The pizza, though, completely stole the show. It’s genuinely the best I’ve had in California, and I’ve found myself thinking about it long after the meal ended. The service deserves its own praise. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without being intrusive. Every interaction felt genuine, and it was clear that the team takes pride in creating a great experience. Combined with the prime location, the overall vibe makes the restaurant even more of a standout. Piatti is truly a must-visit. Whether you’re stopping by for happy hour or settling in for a full dinner, it delivers on every front. I can’t wait to return, and I’ll be recommending it to anyone looking for great food, great service, and a beautifully designed space that feels special from start to finish.
If you are looking for an amazing date night or even a great family dinner, Piatti Laguna Beach is a must. We went on a Monday night and had no problem finding parking right in front of the restaurant, which already felt like a win in Laguna. From start to finish, everything was done right. Donnie, the general manager, was extremely extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu and helping us choose our dishes. His recommendations were spot on and made the entire experience even better. Everyone there, from the moment we walked in, was so friendly and welcoming. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. The restaurant itself is very well kept, warm, and inviting. The ambiance is perfect. It truly feels like pure Italian family vibes. We started with the octopus and it was absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor. It came with puréed mushrooms and thick sliced mushrooms that complemented the dish beautifully. Easily one of the best octopus dishes I have had. We shared a bottle of wine and also ordered an espresso martini and an Old Fashioned. And yes, they serve Old Fashioneds with the proper large ice cube for anyone who appreciates a well made cocktail. Attention to detail matters. For food, we shared the spicy pizza and the portion was very generous. It is large enough to be your own meal or perfect for sharing and still feeling satisfied. They are known for their Bolognese pasta for a reason. It is made with over a dozen ingredients and takes overnight to prepare. You can taste the care and depth in every bite. Rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. We also ordered the Linguini del Mare, which was cooked to perfection. The sauce was phenomenal, and they brought out fresh bread on the side so you could dip straight into it. Do not skip that. Finish with dessert. You have to try their gelatos and fresh baked cookies. Authentic homemade pasta, an excellent wine selection, great cocktails, incredible service, and an atmosphere that works just as well for date night as it does for a family dinner. Highly recommend. It is absolutely worth it.
Great location just steps away from the beach and main st. The place is nice both inside and outside, with outdoor dining covered by big umbrellas and a nice fountain. Good knowledgeable server. We did the lunch special which included a full portion cesar salad and a choice betwen pasta dishes or sandwiches. Very nice selection for lunch. They serve salads, apetizers, pizza , pasta and sandwiches. We had three different kund if pasta. Spaghetti carbonara, rigatoni bolognese and lunguini seafood. All three large portions and very well prepared. Fir apetizer ee did try the Octopus with mushroom very good as well.

The service here is amazing from greet to eat🙏 the staff are friendly with great recommendations on cocktails and the dinner menu - they were able to answer all of our menu questions in detail. The food came out fresh and delicious, we ordered a variety of pastas, salad, and pizza. The octopus appetizer is delicious and cooked to perfection, the funghi pizza is amazing and may have been my favorite item ... Although it is tough to beat fresh pasta. Definitely worth the parking challenges one will inevitably face, it's not the restaurant it's the area in general 🤷♀️😂😂😂
We had an excellent experience at Piatti in Laguna Beach. The service was quick, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. I had the pappardelle pesto, and it was amazing—vibrant, creamy, and perfectly balanced. A great spot for authentic Italian with a welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!
Thanks so much for a lovely dinner. We are here visiting from Scotland and came across this dinner spot. The staff were lovely and the food was fabulous! We ordered Cacio e Pepe, Rigatoni Bolognese & Arugula salad. All of our food was cooked great. I had a chocolate dessert and my partner chocolate ice cream. Both amazing. We wish we could come back but unfortunately we are too far over the pond. Thanks again guys !!
I have been raised on Italian food and I consider myself a very picky critic and my family is the same. We tried it tonight and we all thought it was awesome! We actually had takeout and it was so good that we cannot wait to try it again, but this time we will be dining in the restaurant. Highly recommended. Excellent food. Margherita pizza was awesome and so was the rigatoni Bolognese.
I stopped in for lunch after a long hike at crystal Cove State Park. I got a Caesar salad with a very delicious Panini chicken sandwich. The bread here is outstanding and worth visiting. It’s homemade and baked in the morning and simply delicious. Service was great and quick for lunch. I know I came during an off-season time, but it was fantastic to stop and experience this place!
🌟 A Hidden Gem in Laguna Beach – Piatti Italian Excellence! Dining was an absolute delight from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with just the right touch of coastal charm and Italian flair. Our server, Bianca, was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the menu. She made us feel like honored guests. The highlight of the evening came when the manager Done personally brought out a selection of desserts that were nothing short of heavenly. The food overall was outstanding Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable Italian meal in Laguna Beach. We'll definitely be back
Dining at Piatti was a wonderful experience! Mr. Donnie (manager) and Mr. Lino (server) provided service worthy of being published. The lasagna, rigatoni Bolognese, tiramisu, and chocolate cake were absolutely delicious! They definitely deserve the highest rating, and we will definitely be back!
Great service with attentive waiters and extra servers and excellent food. Great menu. Loved the oysters and ricotta dip as appetizers. Excellent cocktails enjoyed a Smoky Old Fashioned. Great Lasagna and some great looking pizza. Reasonable pricing for the personal and pleasant service and quality of food. Staff seemed eager to please and appreciative of our visit.
Piatti was a truly great experience. I received incredible service the whole time. When I entered the restaurant I was greeted by the host Arman. He asked me about how I was doing and made sure my family felt welcome. He then brought us out to the patio and made sure we knew where the heaters offered to adjust the temperature and wished us a great dinner. We were then waited by Bianca who cared how we felt, and overall gave great service and food. The food was just excellent as well. Would highly recommend.
Wow, this place is amazing! The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming with beautiful decor. Now, for the food…. So good! Although it isn’t on the menu the chef made me caprese salad. It was delicious and the pasta dish I had was like nothing I have had before. I will be getting it again the next time I come. All in all this is was a great experience! Maddie was great and the manager Donny, was super friendly and kind. We will be back…
The Italian food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten, and the rigatoni was cooked to perfection. The homage noodles were amazing and the sauce and meat melted in your mouth. The bread to start was superb! The service was impeccable by moving around tables and chairs for us (party of 7) to sit. We have tons of things we needed service for and it was all great. Also the atmosphere was amazing.
Nice atmosphere, BouBou our server was outstanding. The eggplant Parmesan, pizza and the yummy bread was delicious. The bolognese sauce was great but of used more meat (personal preference). We will definitely go again. Kudos to the chef and staff. Also the outdoor seating area was very inviting .

I went to Piatti with my boyfriend for dinner, and it was a truly excellent experience from start to finish. The oysters & rigatoni bolognese were delicious. We were so charmed by the warm atmosphere and amazing service. Piatti is a gem in Laguna Beach!

My experience enlightened me as a person. It was utterly breathtaking how good the service, food, and atmosphere was. I truly felt like a valued member of the Piatti family. This was all because of my server Anna and host Arman. They are fantastic members of your staff. Right when I walked in, Arman welcomed and greeted me instantly cementing this place as my favorite restaurant. I will be coming back.

Loved the atmosphere. Patio was protected by its placement from winds and possible rain. Our server was most attentive and the food delicious. ( both of us had short ribs). Every bit as good as the one in La Jolla. Delighted to have a location in Laguna!
With a reservation, we were seated relatively quickly in the main dining hall. Their walls were well decorated, giving a nice ambiance, but not anything transporting you to Italy. The main hall did feel a little cramped, especially with the large tables in the center. The appetizer bread was really good, providing an assortment of bread sticks, ciabatta, and foccacia, accompagnied with dipping olive oil and spices. We ordered the carbonara, which was well put together with caramelized chives as a nice twist. We also ordered the pesto, which tasted a little bland; the pesto flavor wasn't as prevalent, and there wasn't anything else interesting. Overall, I don't think the pasta was necessarily worth the $20, but it was still a nice dinner and location. The staff was very attentive, always serving water when a glass was empty and refilling the bottle when empty. They also gifted us a vanilla gelato, which was nice.

I really enjoyed the ambiance here—it’s perfect for a date night or a girls' night out. They have a great mix of indoor and outdoor seating, but I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time to make sure you're covered. The Italian menu felt authentic, with several dish combinations you don't typically see. If you're going with a group, the charcuterie board is a must for the table. While it is on the expensive side, the price felt appropriate for the upscale vibe and quality. Just a heads-up on the logistics: parking in this part of Laguna is tough, so plan to arrive early to find a spot.
The restaurant design is so well done. It’s very elegant. It’s really the best design restaurant in that area now. The 1st time we ate there all the food were really good. Took a friend there last night but it wasn’t the same. The pizza we ordered was good but the short rib was so so dry. We took one bite each and could not even finish the rest. Maybe we just got unlucky with a different chef or something. The last time we ordered the same thing and it was super moist that was why I ordered again. Just wondering do you tell the manager when your food is so bad

This was our first time and there were hits and misses for the experience. We got a reservation, showed up on time and seated quickly but didn't get a server like 10' or so later. The service throughout the dinner was slow eventhough the server tried her best. We waited for at least 30' after the salad ... so we ended up to dine for 2.5 hrs instead 1.5 hrs the most... we didn't make any fuss but the management automatically accommodateed us with a veggie side dish and a small dip. That was very nice of them. 1. Beef capaccio: 4/5 - fresh and high-quality quality beef slices. However, it could use tiny bit acidity and white pepper...? 2. Chopped salad: 2.5/5 - was very fresh but bland in taste and flavors. I felt like eating raw greens. It needed some acidity, salt, and some flavors. 3. Salmon: 4/5 - our friend had it, it looked pretty appetizing. 4. Spaghetti Promodoro: 3.5/5 - the meatballs were delicious, tender, tasty, and got so much meaty flavor. The sauce was good, well balanced with brightness of tomato. However, the fresh spaghetti was very al dente, chewy. 5. Cioppino: 3/5 - it was good but not best. Good taste but not so rich in flavors. I did ask the server to add a fresh pasta which the chef did. However, when I saw the charge in the bill, it was quite a sticker shock, $12. So $12 for a 4-5 oz fresh pasta? Compared to their $15 PIZZA Margherita or $18 Bianca? What am I missing here? 6. Pistachio gelato: 5/5 - as good as you can get at some well known gelateria in Italy. It was so creamy, so robust with pistachio flavor, not super sweet. I am a sucker for pistachio gelato so this is easily the best pistachio in OC.
Place with hosts that never smile nor show emotions. straight poker face! My main was salmon with risotto was delicious but other dishes were not.
Grilled octopus: 5/5, A MUST TRY Oysters: 3/5, oysters were small, sad, and not tasty Moscato (wine): 4/5 - too sweet for my liking

Okay let me preface with I use to love it here. My friend and I would come sit at the bar, chat, order martinis and a meal. Over time the quality went way down. We came here tonight and they really fell short. First, I ordered a glass of wine and my girl friend ordered a martini. They bring us a glass of Olive juice (in a wine glass) and a dirty white wine (in a martini glass). It was just a little silly. Then we ordered the Florentine steak and it was the smallest steak I’ve ever seen. A porterhouse. Pictures attached. Also it was supposed to come with mashed potatoes and it was literally a scoop. A single potato at most! The steak also was super well done on one side and rare on the other. We mentioned this to the server as well and he said that he agreed, that a “florentine” as it is listed on the menu should be 4 fingers thick and theirs is only 2 and it should be aged for a couple months which theirs is not. For a $100 steak we expected a bit more. Just a super disappointing meal.
A group of four adults and three kids. They told us to stand outside and wait nobody came to us and didn’t provide any other service. Just let us stand in the sun. Didn’t even suggest or ask if we wanted a cup of water we were waiting for over 10 minutes. nothing happened and we left. Very rude and very bad service.
Unfortunately, a disappointing experience. The indoor seating area was almost completely empty, while the outdoor tables were full. We arrived as a group of four adults with a toddler and two babies. The host at the entrance told us it would take about 10 minutes. We understand there was a momentary rush since several tables were being seated at once, but we could have easily been seated inside, offered water, and given menus while waiting. Instead, there was very little acknowledgment. Another group behind us wasn’t attended to either and eventually left. A bit more basic service and communication would have made a big difference.
