To be honest, I get impressed quite fast. But this experience was totally worth it! Yeah price is a little (sarcastic) higher than just the normal Sushi restaurant, but the very quality and taste and how it's made is just awesome! Like really the best Sushi I had in my life and i've been to a lot of Sushis before. Highly recommend it!

We were recommended by the chef to choose omakase, which we found to be reasonably priced compared to other omakase restaurants that can cost over $100-200. The chef took pride in his job and even taught us how to use chopsticks and how to align the food properly, which made for a unique experience. The food was seasoning-based and although it was a bit salty for my taste, it was still delicious.

This is our go to place for Japanese food. They have been in business for more than 30 years. Best sushi! Best salmon in teriyaki, I order the same thing every time! I just can't get enough of it! The curry chicken is amazing! And the really great thing is they didn't raise the prices much at all. I highly recommend this place.

I just got back from my visit here and I still don’t really have words. I’ve had sushi in Tokyo and this was in an absolute league of its own. Hiro is… well awesome (that’ll make sense once you go.) Just make sure he’s the one that prepares your meal and make sure you order Omakase, because he truly cares.

I’ll always miss Hiro & Tatsu but Yasu, the new Mgmt, and Team will not disappoint. The new renovations look fantastic, and they still do the classics that we all fell in love with but will also provide new dishes which is a great change of pace. I’ve been to “top-notch” sushi restaurants in OC and LA and Kotobuki is still my number 1.

The fish is so fresh, delicious and tender! For the amount of food that you get, which is a lot on the two item combo, it's a great deal! Sushi was also delicious and fresh. Service was excellent and fast. Love this place!

First time eating here and it did not disappoint. I ordered the sexy roll and it was delicious 🤤 . A great combination of crunchy and spicy. I also ordered miso soup and so far one of my favorites , so savory definitely recommend this restaurant. Wonderful service, i will definitely come back.

This is a great, unexpected treat in a strip mall in Laguna Hills. Some of the best sushi I have had in quite some time. We ordered omakse and each dish was better than the last. The service was prompt and polite. Small store front and not much in terms of atmosphere, but that is an easy trade off for the great food!

It also has all the traditional sushi dinner sets. We are enjoying this place so much that we sometimes go a couple times a week either lunch or dinner. This place will not disappoint if you know traditional Japanese food.

But as a considerate group of professionals we even gave her more tips after bringing our bill that includes the spilled miso soup . Despite of that unfortunate first visit I still dine here because I like the foods at this restaurant. The best Japanese food in South Orange County for me. Everything’s fresh.

The yellowtail and salmon sashimi were delicious the yellowtail fish from Japan. The albacore Sushi was awesome and I also recommend the house sake which is better than average. Very nice Sushi master
