A great breakfast option if you are staying at the hotel. This was our second visit to the Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa and just did this past Presidents’ Day weekend. We wanted to get an early start to head back home and this spot opens early, has great views, and good food so it was an easy decision. It’s located on the lake side of the hotel and really does have beautiful views of the lake. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. Parking is also really easy, there’s a giant parking lot right in front of the resort. They also have an outdoor patio area, which is more popular during the summer. For breakfast, I chose the Eggs Benedict with a side of fruit and added avocado, and honestly, it was very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly and every part of it was nice although I wish the ham would’ve been a cooked a bit more. The only downside is the resort fees add to the price, but if you are staying at the hotel, it is a really nice option and worth it in my opinion.

Such a great get away tranquility spot with a view overlooking the lake. Great ambiance. Feels nice and cozy. Great service. The bartenders are all super friendly and the staff are all very nice. The food is really delicious and the drinks are great. Can’t wait to come back .

OMG, this was good! I bring guests here for the atmosphere and the view from the open patio! Inside the restaurant it is also relaxxing and tranquil during the day. Thank you so much for revamping my favorite mango pineple salad on the menue. At some point it disappeared, but I am so happy it is back! I asked the chef if they had nuts without sweet glazing, and they did! That salad absolutely makes my day! My guests enjoyed it too. The young lady waitress was super friendly, pleasant and courteous, and she offered us great options from the menu. Thank you!

My family and I had such a lovely time at this new to us restaurant. We've been part time residents for some years now and have always been off put by the bad reviews. Finally decided to broaden our horizons and it did not disappoint. Excellent service from our attendant, Cayro, from the start to the very end. Food was great, ambiance was lovely, overall a great evening.

This restaurant is amazing! I wish I would have tried it sooner. My favorite dish is the Filet Mignon. The steak is so amazing, it melts in your mouth. The ambiance is incredible as well. Every table has a view of the lake, its truly a great dining experience. A hidden treasure.

I'm genuinely surprised by the low ratings for the restaurant within Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa because it has consistently exceeded our expectations. The quality of food and drinks has never faltered, always leaving us satisfied with every bite and sip. The staff's attentive and friendly demeanor adds to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Each visit guarantees a great time, making it a go-to spot for memorable dining experiences. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a chance, as it has never failed to impress.

While staying at the Lake Arrowhead Resort, we had dinner at Bin 189. The restaurant features a beautiful bar and a lounge where children are welcome. It also has some of the best views of Lake Arrowhead in town. We started dinner in the lounge where we share some guacamole and chips. I sipped on a glass of white wine while my kids relaxed from the drive up the mountain. Once our table was ready, we entered the dining room for an epicurean adventure. We started dinner with the Butcher's Block - a must when dining at Bin 189. Along with the appetizer, my husband and I shared the Caesar salad which was fresh, delicious and the perfect start to our meal. My two favorite items on the menu are the Delmonico and the filet mignon. Both of the steaks were seasoned to perfection and arrived at the table at our desired temperature. You can't go wrong with either of these two dishes. If you are in the mood for seafood, I recommend the Alaskan Halibut. The fish tasted as it had just been caught in the morning and the flavor profile was out of this world. Bin 189 is one of the best restaurants in Lake Arrowhead. Don't miss experiencing this unforgettable dining experience when in the area.

Bin 189 is the restaurant at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa Hotel located on the 2nd floor. The ambiance and decor of this restaurant is amazing. It has a complete bar and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was fortunate to actually meet the chef, Heath Miller, and he is very creative and always trying to make new and exciting dishes, especially dinners. We ate dinner there on Nov 8th and although the menu is a bit pricey, the food is wonderful and the experience is great. The Chef is really cool, and I got to know him a bit, and he is always looking to making new creations. They had the diver scallops as their go-to item that night, but we chose a couple of different menu items. I had the chicken saltimbocca with a Cesar salad and a shrimp cocktail for the appetizer. They were great. I didn't realize the salad came with anchovies, but i was able to remove them. lol. The whole thing was great. The chicken was perfectly marinated with prosciutto and it came with risotto. My girlfriend has the french onion soup and she said it was the best she ever had. We split some chips and salsa and they were better than most Mexican restaurants we go to, then she ended up having the 20 oz. French Bone-in Rib-eye with roasted potatoes. She also said this was the best steak ever! For desert we got the tiramisu and that was super rich and awesome. The chef brought us a special off-item menu item cheesecake which had 24 carat gold icing and a strawberry as well. It was out of this world! Our waiter was Lindsay and he was superb. We also met the manager Lisa Marie and she talked to us for a little while about the restaurant and Lake Arrowhead. It was a wonderful experience. I recommend this and give this 5 stars all the way. try it!

We had a phenomenal birthday dinner here with friends. They made us feel like VIP. Tyler made our night fun and memorable. He had great recommendations on wine, entrees, and dessert. Loved every moment. Atmosphere was lovely.

Relaxing lake view for an amazing meal. The shrimp ceviche was tart and the chicken caesar salad was crispy with fresh dressing. The pork chop and filet mignon were cooked perfectly, and their veggies were on the al dente side however seasoned well. Topped it all off with a moist tiramisu dessert. Thanks!

Fantastic bar and restaurant. Steve, the new manager made this spot the highlight of our trip. He offered us a great selection of new liquors to try, very good recommendations for the food, and served up cocktails that rival my favourite spots in LA or NY. If you haven’t been before, I highly recommend the filet and ravioli. The soup de jour was a hearty steak chili, and it hit the spot on a very cold and rainy night. Goes down well with their nice selection of scotch whiskeys. Very happy to see this restaurant under new management, and can’t wait to come back.

My wife and I planned a Memorial weekend getaway to Lake Arrowhead Spa & Resort. We made reservations to dine at Bin 189. The highlight of our night at Bin 189 was the incredible service. Tyler, our waiter, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and knew the menu inside and out. Deming, the manager, went above and beyond to take care of us. His hospitality truly made the experience special. We had the filet mignon and Cobb salad—both were excellent—and the wine selection was exceptional. Great food, great wine, and even better service. We’ll definitely be back.

From the moment I walked into Bin 189, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. The staff was attentive and genuinely welcoming, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor! The service was impeccable—our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and perfectly timed with recommendations and check-ins. The attention to detail, from the ambiance to the plating, truly made this a standout dining experience.

We made our reservation on Thursday pm for Friday 6:00pm. We arrived 20 min early thinking we'll walk around for a few minutes, but we were seated within 5 minutes. Friendly, knowledgeable waitress, 😳, I don't remember her name, We were able to talk and enjoy our meal together. The food was delicious! And my ribeye was perfectly medium! Pink all the way through (not raw in the middle)! Thank you! 😄 We look forward to coming back soon.

Was a really awesome place! We were up for a weekend snowboarding and tubing trip for my daughter’s birthday. We had a great table away from foot traffic. They had a saxophone player who actually played the Happy Birthday song for her!!! She felt so special!!! The food was great and service was top notch! Not only did our server take great care of us (even got the kitchen to make a simple off the menu pasta for my youngest), but the manager visited our table a time or two to make sure we were enjoying ourselves! Five stars for sure!

I love going here on Saturdays. Sports days are fun too to watch a game near the bar. If you like craft beer it is a great place to go. I enjoy the chicken and waffles and I have a beer.

Hotel restaurant with an accessible bar. Nice views with quality food and drinks. Glad to see it going after the downturn associated with Covid. The service was kind and accommodating as usual. Had the pork chop and it was delicious. Along with a couple of good cocktails.

New chef is amazing. We had 4 adults and a 1 yr old and everyone loved their food. Can’t beat sitting on the balcony with lake view and great service. Katie took great care of us!

Attentive service and gourmet food. I had Oso Buco and my wife had the Harvest Salad with chicken. Both excellently prepared and very large portions. Server checked in on us at least half a dozen times. Great experience overall.

I’m super excited to write this review because of the relatively poor standing on Google. We can all agree that the hospitality industry has taken a major hit since the Plandemic, with many not wanting to work in general. This leads to poor reviews. The service my husband and I had at here at Bin 189 was fabulous and five star worthy. It began with being greeted by the darling freckle faced, Ava, the kind hostess. We arrived at 4:30 pm and dinner was not available but the beautiful bar was. You’ll see from my photos it’s tastefully decorated with a stacked bar filled with a wide variety of spirits. Angelina, the Dave Mathew’s loving bar tender recommended the vanilla old fashioned for my husband. I ordered a Tito’s lemon drop while we chatted about her devotion to Dave Mathews Band and her recent concert experiences seeing him play at the Irvine Amphitheater and Yamava. As we chatted and shared concert experiences, I drank my icy, sugar rimmed lemon drop. Angelina, noticing my martini had dropped halfway, filled my glass with what remained in the shaker. This was much appreciated since the cocktail was $19.00 I believe: $15.00 for Tito’s + $5.00 for the lemon drop. Worth it! After 5 pm we moved outside, sitting in a beautiful corner table shaded by a large blue umbrella. David, our waiter, introduced himself and we ordered an appetizer and salad. The guacamole with chips was alright. I regularly added salt and pepper to each bite. The burrata salad with seasoned artichokes and arugula was divine. If you order this, save some of the warm table rolls to make a little sandwich. Delicious! We ordered the cheeseburgers with bacon jam and fries. The burgers were meaty, and quite large. We should have shared! However, none of the leftover went to waste because here we are day two at the resort and have both enjoyed a half cheeseburger each for lunch. Deming, the restaurant’s manager also came to our table to greet us. We exchanged pleasantries and had a lovely conversation. I hope this restaurant will continue to offer the wonderful hospitality my husband and I were offered so that their review reflects our experience overall as an average. Thank you to Ava, Angelina, David and Deming!

Lovely ambiance. The service was great and they have a really good wine selection. Fabulous cocktails and healthy portions that kept us coming back for more. Laura and Demming were kind and took care of our family like they were their own. Highly recommend!

Bin 189 was such a great experience. The atmosphere and décor are amazing — super cozy but still elevated, the kind of place you actually want to hang out in. Our server, Cayro, was awesome. Super friendly, easy to talk to, and went out of his way to make me a raspberry iced tea even though it’s not on the menu. That kind of effort really makes a difference. Overall, everything felt welcoming and top notch. Highly recommend checking this spot out — I’ll definitely be back.

We came with a group of friends to this popular American restaurant. The restaurant interior is aesthetic and welcoming, and the service was amazing despite us having to wait an hour for dinner. Here’s what we ordered Garlic Parmesan fries: they were decent - not enough garlic. Crispy Brussels sprouts: this was the best dish of the night. The Brussels were well cooked, crispy, and also a bit sweet which was perfect! Chios and jalapeño queso: the queso was alright but the jalapeño bomb sauce was surprising very delicious and creamy. The chips were fresh and crispy thankfully. Angel hair pasta: decent dish - too many tomatoes but tasty cheese. Cauliflower steak: very well cooked and seasoned! The potato puree was creamy and the broccolini well complemented it. Bread and butter: complementary bread and butter was the perfect starter. The sour dough bread was soft on the inside and slightly harder on the outside. Butter was a bit too creamy though. Overall, that was a solid location with delicious food.

We ate here for DINNER and here’s my break-down. Food was good but I think it was a little overpriced but I guess they gotta make their money too. 16oz ANGUS RIB-EYE: Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just how we like it. It came with broccolinis which were sautéed and delicious. The baked potato was ok, nothing extraordinary. ANGEL HAIR PASTA: Surprisingly pretty good. Right amount of garlic, tomato, parsley, basil, and olive oil. The only thing I didn’t like about it was that they added goat cheese to it…which was unnecessary. FRIED CALAMARI: It was over fried and salty. The calamari was very chewy. I do not recommend. DRINKS: Lake Arrowhead Pale Ale - my husband loved it, he had three. Old-fashioned - ok. SERVICE/AMBIANCE: AMAZING My husband and I stayed at the resort and noticed the restaurant during check-in. We decided to try it out and didn’t realize we needed reservations. Luckily, it wasn’t super busy and the manager was able to give us a table. Our hostess/waitress (Ana/Ava) was so friendly, attentive, and had such a great vibe to her that I had to let her manager know the amazing customer service she provided to us.

It was my birthday and we decided to go the area to spend the weekend. My boyfriend picked this place and what a great option! Let's start with the decor. While we appreciated it,.and probably one of the best businesses the area has to offer, I can tell the decorations are starting to be a bit outdated. Keeping in mind the space is quite expensive or higher than average, they should deliver more uniqueness on this regard. Food was quite tasty but nothing of this world either. My $65 ribeye was good, but for that price they could have done better. HOWEVER! Big part of my 4 stars go to our server Rachel. She was so amazing, and welcoming, and kind, and knowledgeable. If ownership is reading this please give Rachel a special treatment. She made the whole experience more pleasant. Pics taken with Pixel 4 XL

We went for dinner, and to the bar, the vibe is very mellow. However, the bar service is extremely slow. There is no urgency with the bartender. It took a little over 25 minutes to get my drinks order, and it was not even busy. However, when we dine in for dinner, our server was very prompt and Friendly.

With Covid seating is strictly outside. Very beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding nature. I would give it 5/5 but the menu is very limited and a bit over priced. But it's nothing short of what I was expecting (:

We stayed at the resort and absolutely love it, the restaurant not so much, steak was more boiled then grilled, miso salmon was too sweet I wish I could give at a 5 start for such great location, but food could be better.

I made a dinner reservation to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I requested table 5 in the corner by the window. She put us down for 5:15. I asked if they still did anything special, such as bringing a slice of cake with a candle to for the birthday guest. The hostess assured me that they do and she set up the arrangement with the reservation. My friend was looking forward to dining at Bin 189 since she had never been there before. After a fun day of shopping, I showed my friend around the resort suggesting we come back for spa treatments. We arrived slightly early at 5pm and the restaurant was fairly empty except for a few customers seated at a couple tables. I approached Demming at the hostess station and mentioned we were a tad early for our reservation, it was my friend’s birthday and was hoping we could be seated sooner. I could clearly see that table 5 was available in addition to most tables. Demming rudely said no, we must only be seated at our reservation time, 5:15. I then said that we’d wait at the bar and asked if he could let us know when our table was ready. He barked, “I can’t. I’m old and won’t remember. You’ll have to come get me.” Frustrated by his odd and rude behavior we sat at the bar. At 5:08, Demming approached us stating our table is ready and he could seat us now. We hadn’t gotten our drinks yet so we’ll wait. As the bartender proceeded to mix our drinks, Demming hovered closely behind our seats impatiently pacing back and forth. His strange behavior made us uncomfortable. At 5:15 we grabbed our drinks as Demming escorted us to our table. We were relieved when Laura introduced herself as our server and I informed her we were celebrating my friend’s birthday. Her service was mediocre and she never brought the cake to our table after we finished dinner. She just slapped down the check and disappeared. I approached the hostess and discussed that we weren’t happy with our dining experience. I was hoping to still surprise my friend with a slice of birthday cake, even if they had to charge us for it. It wasn’t about us trying to get a free slice of cake, it was about celebrating. And we wanted to order coffee too. The hostess sent Demming to our table. He stood before me uncomfortably close, poorly dressed with a giant stain on his shirt as his beer gut was inches from my face as I sat at the table. His customer service was awful, he’s creepy and extremely rude. He said, “If you wanted cake you should’ve requested it when you made the reservation.” I did! I told him I was going to write a review and Demming said, “Go ahead. I don’t care. It’s a free country.” My friend and I left the restaurant upset and disappointed. We will not be returning to Bin 189 or the resort for spa treatment or anything else. We will spend our money where we’re treated with respect.

They have one Vegan option. Still cannot figure out why they grill a cauliflower steak and place it on bland cauliflower puree. If the puree had spice or some flavor, maybe it could work, but after eating it twice as the only option for a conference, it never got better.

Bin 189 is one of the restaurants at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. It's decent enough. Food is tasty but far too expensive, in my opinion, all things considered. Staff is friendly and attentive. Personally, I think there are better restaurants at Lake Arrowhead village, but this is a decent place to eat if you don't want to leave the resort.

Came to get take out, was told to come back in about half an hour. Came back to order food, host in front said he would need to check how busy kitchen was. So if I sat down, kitchen is not busy for me, but if get take out , it is? They didn’t seem to want anyone to get take out and just sit down. Asked for item, host printed receipt and then was told item doesn’t exist. Overall placed look relaxing, but I recommend just getting drinks and get food somewhere else.

Food was not too bad, but the cocktails were disgraceful. Both kitchen and bar were horrendously slow

Great servers, great environment, absolutely horrid food. For 18$ I got quite possibly the worst Eggs Benedict I have ever encounters. On a soggy undercooked biscuit (they said they don't do English muffins even though they are on the menu) the only good thing about the meal was the potatoes, and they were just good, not great. So overall I would never again eat anything made from this kitchen. As a note my first order was steak and egg which the wait staff recommended against me ordering it as it's not popular. So I can only imagine the strip of cardboard they would serve as a steak. Wait staff almost never tries to sway a customer from the most expensive item without a VERY VERY good reason. In short, stay away from this place which serves food that is the equivalent of a culinary abortion.

Yeah, this place is hit or miss—mostly a miss. My friends and I waited 45 minutes for our meal. I asked the waiter how much longer it would be, and he said our order was up next. Fifteen minutes later, still no food. I told the waiter I was going to leave, and he basically responded, “I don’t care if you leave.” So I left. Horrible service.

Horrible service, mediocre food that’s expensive in a beautiful setting. The restaurant was virtually empty at 1230pm on Tuesday. They had 2 tables inside & 3 tables outside to take care of & all they wanted to do was stand around & talk within themselves. It took 10 minutes to even be greeted once we were seated outside. Another 20 minutes for an ice tea, Diet Coke & glass of wine & the waitress was inside chatting with her coworkers until she saw my son go in to use the restroom & then brought our drinks out. It took 35-40 minutes to receive our food. The chicken sandwich was suppose to have fresh fruit with it, but she forgot the fruit when she delivered the sandwich & said she’d bring it right out. She brought the fruit once the sandwich was finished. My son asked for a 2nd glass of wine which didn’t arrive till his meal was finished. The 2 additional outside tables literally were taking care of themselves. One table took their drink glasses inside to be refilled & the other table the gentleman went to the waitress station outside & picked up his own silverware & napkins. We’ve been here several times before. In the past we didn’t mind paying the price for good food & good service, but this place has really went downhill. Don’t let the setting fool you. I even called the manager to discuss our horrible service & he explained he was the evening manager & that he wouldn’t let this happen on his shift. He apologized, said he had taken several notes & would let the daytime manager know. He then asked what my expectations were & I said I expect a call back from the morning manager the following day to discuss our horrible service & mediocre food. Of course, the manager never returned my call.

Absolutely terrible. The restaurant was nearly empty at 11am on a Sunday… and it’s for good reason. This place is the worst in class. 4/5/24 for Sunday brunch and it was THE worst dining experience I’ve had on the mountain. Dirty plates. Carpet in disrepair… tripped twice due to rolls in the dirty carpet. Limited food options. Terrible service. Food on the buffet was dry/old and literally inedible. We’re talking biscuits like hockey pucks and dried sausage patties that had died a second death. Leathery bacon sitting on top of nasty, soggy, disgusting white bread slices. Potatoes and carrots… dried out. Most of the chafing dishes had not been refreshed in what appeared to be several hours. It took more than 15 minutes to get a fresh omelet made when there was only one other table in the restaurant. The woman in front of me ordered crepes. Cook couldn’t multitask so it was one burnt crepe at a time…. And then one omelet at a time… even though he had two omelet and two crepe stations. In all fairness… the omelet station quality and ingredients were below average. It was the only thing that was hot and edible. What a total shame and complete disappointment. Don’t be fooled by the lux hotel lobby and sleek restaurant appearance. You are better off eating at a Hampton Inn where the breakfast is free. Absolute garbage!! 4 people- $200+ No wonder the place was empty at 11am on a Sunday!!

This is the slowest restaurant ever. It took over 30 minutes to get fries. That’s ridiculous. If you have two hours to spare for a meal, it’s fine.

J
Jeremy Shugarman

Ordered a simple meal, a plain bacon cheeseburger with American cheese as it said on the menu. First the server said we don't have American cheese here and I showed her the menu that says they do. I then asked for very FRESH HOT french fries for both myself and my wife who also had a side dish of fries. I repeated this request THREE times and said please have the right out of the frier. Both of our fries came out cold and my burger had no bacon on it. We sent it back and it was returned minutes later with a plate full of the same microwaved french fries that were still cold. My burger was lukewarm by the time they brought it back out with bacon on it. I also asked for a side of Mayo and Ranch and neither one came out with the meal the first time or the second time. Over priced crappy food and NOTHING was done about it. I hope the hotel room and amenities are not the same as their restaurant.

What a disappointing experience! Our Christmas Eve was completely ruined! We came in for lunch at 3:00 pm and didn’t receive our food until 4:05 pm — over an hour later. We also had Christmas Eve dinner booked at 7:30 pm at the same restaurant, and after waiting so long for lunch, the idea of coming back again and potentially waiting another hour for a holiday dinner was impossible. During that entire hour, we were only given chips and salsa, which somehow also took an excessive amount of time. There was no apology, no explanation — just an indifferent “your food is not ready yet,” followed by an attitude of eat it or leave. No acknowledgment, no accountability, no care — especially unacceptable on Christmas Eve. Extremely disappointing! We will never return.

Went on Thanksgiving for the special $95 per person in the afternoon, It was awful. The food was cold, brusel sprouts burnt, meat was cold, stuffing was dry, yams were diced and tasteless. Only thing done right was the salad. They even screwed up my well drink. We will never go back. Worst thanksgiving dinner ever.

Full time resident. Tired of wasting time & money here. Maitre d (or whom ever he was) was; rude, unprofessional, dismissive & could barely speak English! $70 for a burger, salad & bloody Mary!! Those of us who live on the mountain are over this place. Needs a complete restructuring from the ground-up in EVERY aspect. I went for Christmas dinner & the restaurant was half empty & he made me sit at the bar? A single woman, don't drink, don't sit at bars. #smh

I’ve been to this restaurant before and it was very nice. However, today was a different experience. We were sat outside with a beautiful view. We were starving and couldn’t wait for some good food. It took 20 minutes to get a server to take our order, another half hour to get our app, and another 45 minutes to get our entrees. As soon as they set our food down we gave them our credit card to pay the bill because we seriously didn’t know when we would see anyone again, and by this point we just wanted out of there. I had no idea who our server was. There seemed to be about 6 different people walking around and it was someone different with every visit to our table. We were so looking forward to the calamari and it was a few overcooked, rubbery calamari’s on an enormous bed of steak fries. I love steak fries, but would never order them because I’m trying to watch carbs and we were so ravenous that we at them all. When we finally got the food, it was pretty subpar. Overall, it was beautiful, the people were very nice, but the service was pretty terrible and very expensive. Don’t think we’ll be back.

We’ve been coming here regularly for at least once a week, for the past few months. We appreciated the late hours and decent food. However, after today’s experience, we won’t be returning. We sat in the bar making small talk with the staff, and I genuinely believe we were taken advantage of for being polite and easygoing at first. After nearly an hour and a half, we had to keep asking about our food which was a simple order of a club sandwich and tacos. When it finally came out, the order wasn’t even correct. We were then told they had run out of tacos and decided to bring something else without even asking us. We honestly thought it was a joke. It’s clearly obvious this place has issues, from running out of basic condiments, lack of ingredients to make a simple drink, etc. Needless to say with the delivery and communication we will not be returning for quite some time.

I'm staying at a lake house for the summer. I've eaten here 3 times. The food is good, the place is nice. Service is horrible. Was there again yesterday and sat at the bar. There were only one other couple seated at the bar. Lady bartender was rude and forgot about my drink. Never introduced herself and never gave me a menu or asked if I wanted anything to eat. The whole time, she was talking to the staff, not working.
