Maya Grill provides a mixed experience. Many rave about the delicious food, live music, and cozy atmosphere. Standout dishes include the grill for two, steak fajitas, and esquites. However, some diners report slow service, high prices, and inconsistent food quality.
Tip: Communicate with your server about gluten-free options, as almost the entire menu can be made gluten-free.
I tried Maya Grill for the first time because I heard it was a great spot for gluten free people. It did not disappoint! Almost the entire menu can be made gluten free if you just communicate with your server. Pricy, but we expected that. Two meals and an appetizer was about $84 after my annual pass discount and gratuity. Great atmosphere with live Disney instrumental guitar music. The chips with queso dip and chipotle salsa was terrific. I had the chicken enchiladas that included corn tortillas and were yummy. My boyfriend had a steak quesadilla that he said was delicious and could easily be made gluten free if you ask for a corn tortilla. Take a stroll around the lake before and/or after your meal.
I had the pleasure of eating from the Maya Grill on a recent visit to Disney Coronado Beach Resort. I decided to eat from the appetizer menu. My choices were the mexican street corn and the chicken flautas. The street corn was good however the chicken flautas were absolutely amazing. The chicken was so tender and seasoned to perfection. My order was to go so I did not have the opportunity to enjoy the facilities but I would definitely recommend based on my food experience l. If you have the opportunity to
Maya Grill has such a cozy feel with beautiful yet bold decor. Ambiance level is really high. The food was excellent and our waitress was very attentive. It was just a nice bonus to have live music as well. I would come back to Maya Grill located in the Coronado Springs resort. Up for some Mexican cuisine? Stop on in.
Forgive me Father, for I have found better Esquites. Listen, I need to start with a confession: the enchiladas here are better than my mom’s, and the esquites beat my abuelita’s. The esquites have that real-deal chile, and I’m picky, I usually choose my own chiles and even then they aren’t always this bomb. To wash it down, the margarita flight absolutely hit. I don’t consider myself a light drinker, but those did the trick! 10/10 table service and the chef seriously deserves a forehead kiss for this meal. I’ll be back!
This restaurant was amazing! We ate some pricey meals on our trip to Disney but this one was one of the best. We did the meal for 2 for $80 and were pleasantly surprised that we were able to get 4 small tacos each out of it. The meat was well cooked, seasoned, and portioned. Our service from Alex was amazing. I called the manager over to tell him good things since people usually just focus on the bad. We had a pitcher of Mexican Sangria and it was delicious! After we complained about the pitcher being a little watered down due to ice in the pitcher and the cup she brought us a glass to make up for it. We were impressed!
- Guitar music was really nice, Acoustic Mexican guitar flare on Rock, Metal, as well as classic Disney tunes - Salsa is incredible, queso and chips are great as well - Steak Fajitas are really tasty - Quesadilla was really good
We did the $80 meal for two, came with steak, chicken and shrimp, everything was delicious, our server Hassan, was on top of everything. Highly recommended. The chicken in think was thigh meat, which isn't my favorite, but to keep it from drying out quick it worked well. Looking forward to coming back
Great food and atmosphere! Guacamole appetizer had a wonderful flavor. Chicken enchalatas very good. Quasidilla is very good also. Best of all, Desert, chocolate flan. Unbelievable!!!

This was hands down the best meal we had at Disney. We ordered the grill for two, easily could have fed 3 people. The corn side dish was so good with a spicy crema. Steak was cooked perfectly and so was the chicken and shrimp. Comes out on a sizzling plate like a fajita so good stayed warm the whole time. Tortillas were fresh and warm. Only thing missing for me would have been a side of extra crema or sour cream. Huge shout out to Hassan. He was our server and was on top of everything and very friendly. This was a win/win all around, would definitely go again.
Overall we had a very pleasant experience here. The food was good Mexican food and the portions were good. Had fajitas, taco salad, quesadillas, and the fish. The service was a little slow but otherwise we would recommend.
My wife has a few food allergies. Our waiter brought the sous chef out to meet us. Yeslie A Ortiz listened to my wife, she prepared for her a delicious custom fish dinner. Such great attention to detail. Wonderful customer service. Delicious food. Thank you
The food was great. The service was slow and a bit disjointed. There was a solo guitarist who was excellent.
The food was excellent although expensive. The waitress was very good at her job and made the experience amazing. We loved the live music! He was amazing as well. Very talented.
Maya Grill is an interesting spot in several ways. The cuisine is Mexican to be sure, but probably nothing much resembling your favorite neighborhood Mexican joint. There are some Tex-Mex aspects with the fajitas and enchiladas for example, but the flavors are more varied and on the whole more Mex-Mex I would say. The guard at the entrance shack (Maya is at Disney's Coronado Springs resort) recommended the enchiladas and did so like a person who had enjoyed that entree many times. We went a different direction with our ordering but I mentioned that because if the enchiladas sound good to you I'd bet they are a really good choice. We started with the Beef Birria Machete. Really unusual...and delicious. Kind of a cross between a birria taco and a tamale. We then split the steak fajitas. Asked for the steak medium rare and it was nicely prepared and good quality. Beans and rice were both tasty. We enjoyed margaritas as well, and the live music (guitar player with a backing track) was an eclectic mix of Disney show tunes, Jimmy Buffett and who knows what honestly. Ambience overall is a strong suit here as the interior design and vibe, along with much of the staff, could definitely have you believing you're actually in Mexico! Pleasant and efficient service. For dessert we had the choco-flan to go. Very good. This was our first visit but I'm sure we'll be back for more before too long. Maybe those enchiladas!

Overall a good experience. The food was great but service slow. I got the Chicken Fajitas and they were great. The Baja Fish Tacos were also delicious.
Good moderate option for anyone looking to get their Mexican food fix. I wouldn’t put this at the wow my socks off but still great flavor and portion size. Also, located in Disney World’s Coronado Springs resort; the atmosphere here is so relaxing and beautiful. Make time to walk around the resort and take in its beauty.
Pretty good for an American restaurant. Portions were pretty huge, not a fan of the enchiladas, they came with an odd green sauce I’d never seen before. But the appetizers were all good except the soup with was too sweet and full of pumpkin size type seasoning. Anyways, good but freezing cold and impossible to turn off the AC.

Out of all of the Mexican restaurant choices at Disney resort hotels, this was my favorite to visit. I enjoyed the chips, cheese dip, and salsa appetizer. For an entree, the fajitas were delicious, but be forewarned that the beans definitely have a kick! My one complaint is that the fajitas were definitely portion controlled - I could have used a few more pieces of protein. All in all, it was a really great meal for a girl craving her favorite style of food!
This was a roller coaster. Delicious food, great service, and wonderful ambiance. It was near perfect until it went bad. The food was delicious, however, it gave us both a stomach bug. The service was great, until we waited nearly 20 mins to order desert and then again to receive it. The ambiance was nice, until the place filled up and then went really hot and stuffy. We took turns to step out to the cool air during our meal. We will not be back.

My niece and family were in town, and staying at Coronado Springs. This was the restaurant chosen for us to have dinner. The hotel, and restaurant, are beautiful. There is live music. The company was fantastic, as we hadn't seen each other in a couple of years. The food was mediocre at best, and overpriced. My beet salad was small, for $16. The guacamole was meh, and there are far better places for guac in other parts of Orlando. My husband's steak fajitas were a little tough, and barely seasoned. My dining companions said nothing of their meals, and no one seemed enthused about them. The dinner cost me almost $90, with no beverages, and a shared dessert. As I have always found with Disney, the food is mediocre and overpriced.
First of of like to point it what I saw from another review, that when we asked about seating they told us about a 45 minute wait, so we went on the app and joined the walk up wait list which said it would 35 minutes and then went towards the quick service area and we figured if we got hungry, we would just get something there. 5 minutes later we get a text that our table was ready and had to start walking back to the restaurant and then were taken to our table and the restaurant was half empty so they had plenty of seats and there was no need for the theatrics of the wait, they just do it to seem like it's somewhere people want to go and eat so you make a reservation in the future. The atmosphere is nice and very will decorated and they had someone playing live music on a guitar. Our server was also very polite and she even remembered to bring my drink without over where most places forget that. She even noticed I needed a refill before I asked and they even have the better quality recyclable draws rather than the paper ones Disney had everywhere that you end up eating with your drink. My wife even liked trying the flight of margarita she ordered (although she only really finished one of them) Unfortunately that's where the good stuff to mention about the restaurant stop. I always tend to watch if they will bring you water when you sit down as that is generally a sign of a good restaurant. Here they did not. The food was meh, nothing I'd recommend to anyone. Nothing bad, just not worth it, especially since they are quite pricey. From the appetizers all the way to the dessert, nothing worth ordering again. I think the quick service had better quality food and is a cheaper option. I'd probably do that unless you really want the sit down experience. Not a place to go back to.
We enjoyed the live guitar music. The queso fundido was very good. However, the rest of the meal was lackluster. The steak was flavorless. Our waitress forgot a couple of items so we had to ask for things. The booth was cramped. Beans are flavorless too.

My husband made a reservation for our family of four. When he called to adjust the reservation by about 20 minutes because we needed a bit more time, he was met with unnecessary pushback from the host. This was especially surprising given that the restaurant was about half empty on a Sunday evening. The food itself was just okay. Our guacamole appetizer arrived at the same time as our entrées, with no effort made to serve it beforehand. While disappointing, that alone wasn’t the main issue. Unfortunately, after eating the chicken enchiladas, we experienced severe stomach discomfort. Based on that experience, we won’t be returning.

My family and I were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We expected a convenient and enjoyable meal at the resort, but untortunately that was not the case. It became apparent that when the chef's family is present, all attention is directed toward them, and other guests are overlooked. The manager nearly canceled our reservation simply because the chef's family happened to be dining at the same time. Throughout the evening, the staff seemed to prioritize them exclusively, and our table was repeatedly ignored. It even took approximately 15 minutes just to receive a simple refill. The manager and staff came across as unprofessional and uninterested in providing quality service. The food itself was also extremely disappointing. It lacked flavor and did not meet the standard we expected. The only positive aspect of our visit was the live music. Overall, this was a very unsatisfactory
Please Save YOUR MONEY! RUN! Do not stop at this place! Fajitas came out on a skillet with no HEAT! Just COLD like they heated them up in a microwave and placed them on a skillet. I could touch the plate with my hands. No sizzle to anything on the plate! The waiter ERIKA is TRASH! She came to our table 2 times once to get our order and the other to deliver our drinks. She brought out a to go cup with our drinks so we could use those for refills! If I could give this place zero stars I would!
